I had a lot of fun at Race Across Arx this past week!
The riddles were challenging, I saw lots of the city, got a good work-out and 'Blades and Brushes' came in second!
I did break a harp though, oops, may need to send some silver over for that one...
But let's not HARP on it!

After completing a rather inspiring commission, my thoughts wandered to the approaching winter. I even made some hot chocolate to help the mood and ended up sketching up a design inspired by the season. Just a handful of daggers ended up in the shop, for now, but maybe I'll so more in the next week or so. Mostly, I wanted something new out there and then to retreat to more hot chocolate and a quiet evening.

I hope with all my heart that the fundraiser hosted by the Ambassador Bahiya'al'mathali of the Eurusi Consulate in partnership with the Princes Kenjay of Redrain and Patrizio of Pravus at the Hart goes well.
It is my greatest hope that all fight true and well, that all involved are delighted, and that the fundraising is so successful that more than first thought are able to be helped to a better life in their new home.
I am so honoured that my Hart is home to such good things.

Our son, Jorah, turned four this autumn. It seems like the world was an entirely different place when he came into the world, and I marvel at how it feels incredibly long ago and yet went far too quickly. It made me glance out the window and consider all that has been done in that time. The wars, the triumphs, the losses, and the gains - both for myself and House Redrain. I would not have thought I would be a markedly different person after just four years, and I wonder if four-years-from-now me will feel the same.

Over the weekend, the apprentice whisper provided fortune telling in the form of cards. He claims there is now divine entity whispering in his ear, and I believe him, but the storytelling is where the craft is at and he tells quite the story. Thank you for the entertainment.

I realize the reputation the Grayhopes have but that success doesn't come with hard work. I've been really nailing it lately and so the boss rewarded me for all my effort. Those that know how to get things done know to reach us, those that don't...well. You know how that goes.

I had the privlege of participating in a delightful Race Across Arx event organized by Minister Rook Champagne and Guildmistress Caprice Artiglo. The event offered a variety of challenges for mind and boy as my dear friend lord Mattheu Rivenshari ran, danced, stumbled across arx. I will not claim we proformed well. We struggled with some of the riddles but i couldn't have asked for a more fun evening

This week was also filled with joy and surprises. The evening began with a surprise birthday party for Duke laurent right in the middle of the sovreign bridge complete with dancing ang and bardic performances. Marquessa Tyche had an ingenious idea with people spontaneously wondering by to offer biirthday. I ended the evening as the auduence to a thrilling spat at ravnsholm at the invitation of countess aella. It was a thrilling match between Lord Mattheu Rivenshari and captain Caspian wild in which Captain wild scored an impressive victory which was a surprise.

If you fix a broken toy, it's possible that with an incredible amount of work, attention and love, you might fix it so that it seems as it was - with no sign of whatever was broken. Most of the time though, there is still a scar, stitching out of place, an ear missing. Still beloved, and still good, but not exactly the same as it once was.

With the opening of the Art District and other projects I was working on reaching completion, I find myself with idle hands. Not that duty leaves me unoccupied or all the troubles that require my attention. It is simply that I have no projects that draw creativity out of me, which has not been the case in the past six years.
Perhaps some time spent in the laboratory will ease my mind, perhaps.. something will find me.
