Relationship Note on Antonio

Just because you slipped out just before I dragged you to dance, does not mean you escaped.

I would like to thank everyone that came out to Pravus last evening and helped us remember why we are who we are. It was a magical evening and every one of you had part in making it so.

Relationship Note on Apollis

The ball was less frightening than I expected.

The backless dress was just as frightening as I expected.

The important thing is that I survived and even had a bit of fun. Thank you for inviting me, Lord Apollis.

Relationship Note on Ida

I know that this has been mentioned in the whites before, but Dame Ida Ferron consistently provides excellent weaponry. I am always amazed when I see one of her pieces. If you are looking for someone for a commission, please seek her out. It truly is my goal that everyone in the family has a weapon designed by her hand.

Book,

Honor and duty, I cannot stress how vital these two things are. You see, emotion often clouds judgement, especially during tragedy and especially when that tragedy is loss.

Honor dictates a manner in which we should conduct ourselves regardless of situation, and duty should be something we have committed to that is bigger than ourselves. These two things can serve as anchors in the midst of a storm, and though emotion and passion are powerful forces, we must understand how to wield them.

Everyone who knows me would say I am a man of passion, and passion when coupled with direction and duty is a powerful thing.

Goodness gracious, what a few days it has been! Excitement, embarrassment (goodness, if I ever I wished for the earth to yawn open and swallow me whole..), heart-break, enlightenment, illumination and more.

I think I will just lay down and stare at the ceiling a bit as I try to comprehend it all.

Send cakes.

You would think that I would get used to being on a path and then another.

I think what I am familiar with is choosing this path and then that one, with little long term regard.

This time around, the path chose me.

Until it seems it didn't.

I have a lot of people to meet this coming week... Drysi is desperately trying to make appointments, but time is so scarce. And I am finding when I am available, those I need to speak to haven't been. I will get to you all though.. somehow. Somehow.

I was going to write this whole entry that was thoughtful and... now I simply don't remember where I was going with my thought. It's been that kind of day. I have been easily distracted and found myself daydreaming far too often. Sorry Scholars.

My thoughts are flitting about like the fireflies that once danced around my hair in the Stone Grove.

Lately I've been considering making a 'stock' chest selection for the various houses. After doing the chest with the Kennex colors and sigil, I've been wondering if others for the various houses would sell as well. I've not yet decided... but I think it is something to consider closely.

My professional relationship with Princess Alarissa seems to have been a fortunate development. She is quite friendly, and she has enough coin to easily pay for her goods.

The shop has been going for a few weeks now and seems to be fairing pretty well. I can't keep up with a custom items because they seem to sell faster than I can make them.

To summarize the week, Rue is a darling, sweet baby angel but she stole my candy. A diet of rum and candy will make me ill so maybe she was trying to save me. Amarantha is always looking out for me. Aunt Eirene has offered to increase my insult vocabulary. Someone is paying people to challenge me to do various things. And I need a few days of bed rest.

Sometimes there is nothing more enjoyable than reading your Whites. I don't even think we've properly met, but we should. For drinks and conversation, and the stories that I've no doubt you have to tell.

Relationship Note on Agatha

My cousin, Princess Agatha, is a fierce and passionate warrior. She has an effortless beauty with a pureness of heart that I marvel about nearly everyday. Agatha is sincere, funny, and there are few I would rather have my back. Her future husband will be a very lucky man indeed. That said.

I reserve the right to also wage quiet, grumpy, vaguely uncomfortable staring at said lucky future husband for many years to come if she must leave us. Such may be the way of politics, I certainly understand and even embrace. Still. So much staring, which I learned from my mother. It's pretty fearsome.
