Relationship Note on Anisha
So, this awesome person did a big favor for me, and when it was all over all she asked for was a memento. And I've been racking my brain for two weeks now trying to come up with something. Something Nightgold, no... that would come from the house, not me. I looked around a few things I had, outfits, jewelry, and well, a lot of it was my sister's anyway, just never knew what to do with it. It's not like I've worn much of it. That'd be weird. So I guess I need to get something made. Hopefully it won't take me another two weeks to make my mind up on that too.

Many thanks to the Carnifex, Sir Preston, for holding the Thanksgiving ceremony where I was knighted. I don't think I would have imagined myself as a Knight of the Faith even a few short years ago, but these days it seems particularly important to devote myself to protecting the innocent and staying true to my oaths. Relationship Note on Talia
The Northlands Collection of the Fashion of the Fealties was well worth the wait. The gowns were beautiful. Some were a bit more ostentatious than my own tastes run, but I was still well able to see the beauty in them, and how they were meant for the houses they were to go to. I, myself, am quite pleased with the gown made for Halfshav House. It is no secret that I am proud of our Rubicund, and this gown is just... glowing with it!

Our son grows fine and fast, and I have no one more to thank than my wife... with some help from her maids. I cannot wait to start teaching him the ways of adventure and mischief. Of course, not at all intended to cause The Wife worry, no. I have to admit, I am especially looking forward to him learning some of the culture of both our upbringings, bear hunting is grand after all.

Recently I was able to win two of my matches! This is a change of pace from just losing fight after fight. Lady Esme and Lord Alecstazi were challenging opponents, however. Have no doubt about that! I have the bruises on my body to prove it.
I didn't manage as well against Bree the following day, but it seems only right that she was able to beat me back with the sword I'd just given her.

I'm finally home. Not that Fair Harbour isn't home, of course, but to be back with Orvyn again after so many years is something special. Seeing him again, it was almost as if no time had passed. It's reassuring to know that we are still standing side by side, looking to the future with an eye to helping others. I've been in Arx less than a day, and already I've plans in motion for our next endeavor.

So the Downton Folly was fun. You just can't beat pelting assorted silks, hoods and people with fruit and veg that are too far gone to be food, while they're doing something ludicrous - and all without the Iron Guard getting involved!

I find myself missing the sea immensely. Sometimes I consider the fancy of just sailing out in the Tempest and never returning to land again, sailing forever through Magnotta's realm.
