So have your memorials and your remembrances. Write your journals. Time's gonna come soon that too many will be gone to remember. Too many to write about. Nothing quite like having rumors spread about you.
If I were the only victim of these rumors it would be bad enough. I am not. They are also causing a certain family great distress, in a time when they've suffering far too much already.
When I finally managed to track down the person spreading the rumor they were unapologetic. Perhaps they don't realize the full implication of who they've hurt with what was said, or possibly they don't care.
This is how trust is lost. Not because of hate, not because of an intent to drive a wedge. Out of carelessness and disregard for others. I forgive the person who started this rumor because I believe they can do better, can be better. I cannot find it in myself to trust them again.

Relationship Note on Courage
I met the most interesting man today! His name was Courage and all he could speak about was the plight of poor orphans. It was amazing just how selfless he was! No matter how much money we gave him, all he could think about was how he could use that money to help the unfortunate. It truly touched my heart.
A funny though: I treated him to a drink and he has amazingly expensive taste in wine. While I was initially surprised when I received the bill, the more I thought on it, the more it made sense. Certainly it is because he gives all his money to the unfortunate and is unfamiliar with wine; he likely just chose something blindly off the menu.

To Prince Fergus and Princess Freja who have stood true for the good of House Redrain. To a brother and sister who held strong against overwhelming opposition. These two were loved by many because they remained vigilant outside the fire's warmth to protect our people. I give great thanks and pray the spirits watch over them as they return to the Wheel.

Just the night before I was with family and friends celebrating my wedding to my beautiful wife and today I went to the funeral of a friend and his sister. I looked up to Fergus he never gave up he was loyal to friends and family and made you want to strive to push on. That is how I will remember the man I called a friend even if we did not cross paths as much as I would have liked. Today I wear the mark to honor them both.

There's something about having the stark realization that someone whom you've counted on for such a long time is no longer a part of your direct family. It's not quite like losing someone to death, but sometimes the feeling can be the same. It's only been a single evening, and already your presence is missed within our household. Before the messages arrive asking about how I 'let' any of the Crafters ban customers from their shop, need I remind you that the artisans work under the inspiration of Jayus? They can make, or not, to whom they want, when they want. I do not control anyone and encourage my Crafters to maintain the domain that is their craft and their shop.
I endeavor to encourage -everyone- to treat the Crafters and artisans with respect for everything they do; they are within their rights to ban anyone from their shop as they wish, just as they are to offer discounts to anyone they like as well. I have zero say in any of it, and wouldn't even if I'm 'supposed' to.
