I've been spending time with my brother Triton and Elora. I'm pretty sure I'm getting a bird. And..through Elora, I'm beginning to see ideas for our warriors. With the birds. I'm sorta excited! I didn't realize there were so many uses. I mean, I did. And I didn't. This will be so much fun!

The fight to retake Bastion begins today, and though my health prevents me from being able to take part, my thoughts and prayers are with those who can. The times may have been unkind to us recently, but still, we've marched on and persevered. Let today mark the beginning of something greater. The first grand step in turning this mess around. Let this be the good news we’ve all been holding out for.

The second part of the Refugee Charity Tournament hosted by the Ambassador Bahiya'al'mathali of the Eurusi Consulate, Princes Kenjay of Redrain and Patrizio of Pravus at the Hart was an even greater success and more than a pleasure to attend.
The fine show of excellent sportsmanship and skill displayed upon the sands coupled with the swell of high spirits and merriment was simply intoxicating.
I adore seeing so many enjoying themselves. Each and every smile, rousing cheer, and peal of laughter that filled my arena brings such warmth to my heart. To see such a beautiful blend of faces -- many known, some new, and some returning to my Hart after a long absence -- was more wonderful than I could have imagined. I still smile when I think on it.
The final chapter of this trio of events will soon see a champion named. I have no hesitation in assuring that the finale event will be as successful and brilliant as the first two.

I am amazed at how Archlector Giada has managed to stay so busy and still have any tiome to think. I am slowing my pace right now because I need to consider business and personal tasks. Leaves me wondering if I am maybe just not smart enough for her pace!

Arx is not so bad today! Having had a nice dinner with family and new friends, plus having enjoyed some hours with Lady Whitehawk and her raptors, I am finding the city tolerable. It really isn't all about ten layers of fancy clothes and long hours of endless gossip after all. I am learning new things and opening up possibilities that will make life more exciting.

I was quite honored when Ambassador Bahiya'al'Mathali sent a missive asking about commissioning some knives as prizes for the Refugee Charity Tournament. The drawings she sent along once I agreed to do so were designs I had not really seen before. I mean, sure I've seen some curved blades for swords and a dagger or two, but these had something just...different. It was challenging to try to copy those, but also great fun to try. I have always thought of diamondplate as kind of cool, glimmering like the sun on untouched snow, y'know? Now, I have a whole new perspective.
In any case, it was an interesting and rewarding commission to work on and I hope the blades serve the winners well.

If I should fall at the Battle of Bastion I ask that all of my black journals remained sealed. My darker moments in my life should stay there.
If I do not fall in the battle I am going to make more of a concerted effort to find a match either one that can enter House Telmar or one that I can marry into. I don't want to get too far ahead of myself.
I hope that we will all come back safe, but I also know that some of us will not.

Sitting in the Shrine of the First Choice leads to some interesting discussions with old friends. It's good to catch up once in a while, with those we've not had a chance to talk to.
