I hear about about this woman from time to time but I don't really know anything about her.

Relationship Note on Alarie
I have a letter from her.
She's fine and well and off on her adventures with her little one. I'll admit, it was a relief even though I'm sad to see her leave, her sass and feisty nature reminded me so much of my near-mother, Myrinda. Piss and vinegar with an underlying sweetness.
She would fuss over me and make sure I was doing well, and then proceed to tell me I should get laid. Alarie, I mean, but Myri did that too.
Ah, Alarie. I'm glad you're safe but I do miss you so.

Having walked the Hall of Heroes and the statue garden in the Grayson ward, it struck me that there's no memorial for those of the Hundred that have fallen in service to Arx over the centuries.
With war looming on the horizon, it's perhaps not surprising that my mind turns towards Death, and I've resolved to try and raise funds for a memorial, both so that those who have passed are not forgotten, and those who are to come will be inspired by this small honour.
So far people seem willing to aid, and I'm grateful for it. Whatever does not go into the creation of the memorial itself will be passed to the officers to help with other projects around the Crownguard, so that we may always keep the promise that while we stand, the crown will not fall.

The quiet man died today. He didn't say anything. He never said anything--at least, not since I arrived. But I was there when he died, and I held his hand. I hope that's allowed. It seemed cruel to leave him alone.

Reflections (Week 4)
It is hard to believe that I have already been here in Arx for this long. I can hear the distant drums of war moving relentlessly towards us and I sharpen my sword, preparing myself to run head long into this threat. Much has been called into question since I have come here. The calm surface, the steel facade. I can feel it glow with the fire from below. What is stronger? Fire or steel? Or perhaps only steel can be born of fire. Regardless, I can not dwell on these thoughts.
The war plans have been in place, the troops are almost prepared to march. Now it is only a matter of waiting for the day to go. I will fight aside my troops, to inspire them and to bleed with him. If they are to die in this ordeal I shall die beside them. But there will be no quarter. I do not intend to die that day or any day in the near future. I shall make them and their dark masters regret stepping foot before for me. I shall rend flesh, crack bone, and grind them beneath my boots.

The second debate has happened in the series I threw together. This was a more mild and relaxed one, but it brought some interesting things to light. Everyone seems to have emotions they associate with colors, and they associate things with the same colors that stand for those emotions. Not always the same colors to the same emotions though. I wonder what that means about the world.
