Oddly enough, it feels like the closer we draw to war, the more I've been out and about. Maybe I'm just shirking my duties. I'm tired of all the papers on my desk that make no sense no matter how much I scoot them around. The pieces that won't line up because we're not figures on a table, we're people.
So I've been sparring, and commissioning weapons, and comparing battle plans...you know, all the sorts of things girls like to do with their free time. I'll have to sit down at the desk soon and plan everything out properly though, I suppose.

The Spring has been nice, and I do like the rain that it brings. I still wish it were Winter. The cooler seasons and also the rainy ones, seem to be my favorite ones.

People have been buying all my things once more. It's nice to have active trade. I've decided to make some more goods of the same kind and restock when I find it'd serve well, but now I'm thinking about making personal trinkets, maybe some simple jewelry and weapons as well in addition to that.

Myrinda has said that Prince Edain was the worst of her customers to ever dress, and that she remembers that he foisted an unwanted commission on her for a completely different person, just so she could make sure he didn't humiliate himself at the Assembly.

I've talked to a few people recently about the notion of a shop that sells puzzle boxes, riddles, those sorts of entertainments.
I'm not much of a craftsman normally. I get the occasional spurt of inspiration, but nothing I've made would I call a masterpiece. When I've the urge to create I just listen to it.
Yet riddles and puzzles have been a theme that has followed me most of my life. I'm used to them, comfortable with them. I feel like it wouldn't be hard for me to keep a shop like that stocked. I like the notion of a shop doing that too, yet I don't really feel like the merchant sort. Shopkeeper Sparte fits me like a vest with three arm holes. Maybe there is another way to go about it than for profit.

Relationship Note on Myrinda
It was a little over 5 years ago that I first meet Goodwoman Myrinda. The Assembly of Peers was convening for the first time since the King's Rest. It was going to be the first Assembly I ever attended and as a voting member on top of all of that. Goodwoman Myrinda did not approve of how I dressed.
Quite without preamble clothes arrived with a bill and a strongly worded letter informing me I /would/ be wearing these close to the Assembly of Peers. I remember the white leather coat especially. It had these silver... and I think maybe white gold(?) wings extending from the shoulders that cussed me to get stuck on door jams.
I was afraid to not wear those clothes.

Hey, the woman helped raised Ianthe and I. That I can put up with you says how much of an influence she had on us.
That being said ... she was pretty amazing. I covet the pieces I have from her, she made one outfit just for me and I am always looking for an excuse to wear it.
