Someone wearing The Nightstar, drifting elegance leads her golden companion in, a gloved hand on the fingers that are nestled in her elbow. The tall draconic figurehead leans to listen to her companion for a moment before asking, "Wine for me first and then we can make the rounds to see all the dazzling costumes. Would you like to sit at the bench and wait for me, Halcyon?"

Someone wearing a cross owl mask has joined the The Terrace.

Someone wearing simple Starlight Silk mask has joined the The Terrace.

Someone wearing a domino mask that's pretty obviously the Archscholar has joined the The Night Sky Table.

Someone wearing a shimmering snow white veil arrives, following Alantir.

Someone wearing A Baby Fat Death One Mask has joined the The Terrace.

Someone wearing a brilliant and fierce blue dragon mask has joined the Garden Bench.

Someone wearing A Baby Fat Death One Mask looks over at their companion as they arrive. "I'd like to see the terrace, do you think you would like to?" The question asked, and the small pudgey one starts towards the terrace, with the boots on their feet click clacking slightly as they go.

Someone wearing Elegant Lady with a Spidery Veil enters the ballroom with their arm linked through that of the woman wearing the nightstar mask. They whisper to their companion before finally nodding in answer to something the very slightly shorter nightstar asks of them.

1 Harlequin jongleur arrives, following Someone wearing Mask of the Night Sky.

Someone wearing Mask of the Night Sky arrives, following Someone wearing Mask of the Glorious Moon.

Herja drops an area of the garden sectioned off for dancing.

Raven makes her way in and pauses, head turning slowly and letting out a low whistle. She makes her way promptly to a table, claiming a space as she sizes up the room in general.

Someone wearing an autumn blackberry silk domino mask has joined the an area of the garden sectioned off for dancing.

Someone wearing a domino mask that's pretty obviously the Archscholar adjusts his mask, which is really just a nod to masks in general. At least he has his cape, which actually does follow theme. He squints about, looking a little lost, to be honest.

Night and day of a garden enter the ballroom with arms linked, while Midnight playfully picks at a flower upon Sunshine's ballgown with a warm smile showing from under their mask before leaning over to whisper to their escort for the evening.

Someone wearing Silver Fox Mask has joined the The Terrace.

Someone wearing A bursting, blooming Lily mask enters the room, eyes looking about in wonder, a bright smile upon her lips. She gracefully moves around as she takes it all in, finally finding a seat at a nearby table.

Teeter the Black-footed Ferret arrives, following Someone wearing An evergreen mask of the woods.

1 Harlequin jongleur have been dismissed.

Someone wearing a black silk veil and golden headdress covered in gemstones has joined the The Terrace.

As the guests begin to stream into the gardens, there are attendants on hand to direct those that enter toward the enormous spread of food and drinks that cover a large, long table off to the side of the gardens and also to the area where tables have set up with elaborate table scapes representing various aspects of the nighttime sky. Small lanterns have been set amongst the trees and garden paths to provide a sort of cozy illumination over the gathering. One area is set with canopy that looks like the night sky, complete with dangling keepsakes for each of the guests.

Someone wearing A beautiful mask of Blue Roses and silver beading enters leaning quite closely against their partner wearing the Mask of a black horned demon. "Shall we find a place to sit first while everyone settles," in they question as she look around at everyone gathering here in masks

A tall figure wearing a brilliant and fierce blue dragon mask is made more so by the impressive horns arching upward from his visage. On his arm, a woman draped in gold, the treasure this dragon covets, with her mask daintily curved to her face. She hooks her fingers in the crook of his arm, a smile beneath the line of her mask as their journey here was not without its amusements, but now that they enter the grand terrace the smile deepens. Dark eyes peer from behind the disguise as she takes it all in, the lingering chill not enough to put off her delight in this first glance at the festivities. She spies a place to linger, and with a few quietly murmured words, directs them both toward one of the benches that line the garden.

Someone wearing a crescent moon mirrorsilver mask steps out onto the terrace dressed in a brilliant gown of aeterna embroidered to look like the surface of the moon with all of its textures and shadows, a deep black cape trailing the night sky behind her. A hand is resting at the elbow of a looming, masculine figure in a wolf mask, his lustrous white-blond mane flowing free about his shoulders. The Mirrorsilver Moon's steps falter briefly as her head turns to survey the garden, after which she whispers something to the Wolf, seeming to await his reply before moving any farther.

Someone wearing A mask that shines like a setting sun arrives alone, a tumble of mahogany dark curls spilled over one shoulder to leave the whole of her spine exposed to the moonlight above. She finds a glass of dark red wine from a servant, her lips pressed first to the rim of the glass for a slow sip as her dark, grey eyes slip over the mostly masked crowd. She moves to a table, taking a spot to sit as she seemingly waits for something.

Someone wearing Swirling Galaxies Mask with Celestial Luster has taken to the theme, and wears black ubmra with diamonds that sparkle like the stars of the midnight sky. Her dark hair, streaked with silver, is worn atop her head with a platinum comb. She's come alone and quickly plucks a glass of wine off the refreshments table. That done, she slips into a shadowy corner to just watch the others be social.

Someone wearing a domino mask that's pretty obviously the Archscholar gets a gleaming mirrorsilver bracelet from a starsilk canopy of the night sky, with dangling mirrorsilver keepsakes.

Someone wearing The Nightstar, drifting elegance nods, "Of course." She speaks quietly, moving to stop to take a glass of wine for herelf before she walks towards the garden bench with the Lady in the Spidery veil. "There really are so many beautiful masks here." She muses to her quiet companion as she approaches the garden bench and nods to those present, lifting the hand from her elbow to help the Lady find a seat.

Someone wearing a cross owl mask bobs their head to the Death One and walks with a sedate stride beside them. "Seems there will be a nice view from there. When we get settled I'm going to pepper you with questions of how you came to be inspired for this outfit." They laugh lightly with amusement.

Blackberry wine and bramble. The figure in beautiful shades of bruised grape and thorns strides through with purpose. First -- refreshments. Bold enough to turn away the glass and merely accept a bottle of red wine. Claret stains their lips, curled into an overconfident and cocky grin, and they continue toward the dance floor. "-- Would someone dance?" They drawl out the invitation.

Someone wearing a mask of an Ice Lord cast in iridescite and diamonds gets a gleaming mirrorsilver bracelet from a starsilk canopy of the night sky, with dangling mirrorsilver keepsakes.

Someone wearing Mask of the Night Sky gets a gleaming mirrorsilver bracelet from a starsilk canopy of the night sky, with dangling mirrorsilver keepsakes.

Someone wearing an autumn blackberry silk domino mask takes a gleaming mirrorsilver bracelet from a starsilk canopy of the night sky, with dangling mirrorsilver keepsakes.

Someone wearing a masculine half-mask of the rising crescent moon gets a gleaming mirrorsilver bracelet from a starsilk canopy of the night sky, with dangling mirrorsilver keepsakes.

Someone wearing Mask of a Moon-hungry Moth strolls into the ballroom at a calm and unhurried pace, as if not wholly unfamiliar with the idea that at an event like this it's important to take things in, and not rush from point A to point B. He escorts a lady wreathed in moonflowers, murmuring something quietly to her as they make their way through the room. His eyes linger on some masquerade-goers longer than others, though never so disrespectful as a stare "Shall we fetch a drink first?" There might be a hint of a tease in his tone, though his expression remains quite solemn. "Or are such fortifications not yet needed?"

Someone wearing Moonlit Mist Mask takes a gleaming mirrorsilver bracelet from a starsilk canopy of the night sky, with dangling mirrorsilver keepsakes.

Someone wearing a contoured mask adorned in a spill of black roses twined through gleaming praseodymium stands a little off to the side, her smile the only thing the is visible beyond the mask of black roses that conceals her face. Her gown carries over the theme of the roses and, for those that pay attention, they slowly, through some mechanism or another, open over the course of the evening. If her smile is a little strained and tired beneath that opulent mask, it is only the most observant that might notice, particularly amongst this sea of gorgeous costumes and lovely masks.

Someone wearing Silver Fox Mask enters the masquerade in full swagger. Fox pelts rest over a silver catsuit (technically a foxsuit, but let's not get into that old debate AGAIN), and a silver fox half-mask covers tan skin that seems to quite literally glitter in the light. On her arm? Someone wearing a black silk veil with a golden headdress, silver and gold paired well. After a stop to take a party favor, the Silver Fox leans in to her date. "Let's take in the terrace, my dear. Take in the majesty of the night sky before we do terrible things to our body with liquor."

Someone wearing An evergreen mask of the woods takes a gleaming mirrorsilver bracelet from a starsilk canopy of the night sky, with dangling mirrorsilver keepsakes.

Someone wearing simple Starlight Silk mask is dressed simply in an elegant starsilk dress with matching mask and skippers. There's no grand costume here. She's glancing around the room, taking in those who've arrived and her eyes fall on the person guised as a Fat Death One. A light smirk touches her lips as she makes her way over. "You are someone who's been to one too many Explorer meetings," she declares, amusement in her voice.

Raven rises briefly from her table and makes her way over to the obvious archscholar in a mask and smiles, "Hello there, mysterious stranger." A grin curving her stained lips as she takes his elbow gently, "Care to join me at a table?"

Someone wearing Mask of a Frost-Hardy Moonflower gets a gleaming mirrorsilver bracelet from a starsilk canopy of the night sky, with dangling mirrorsilver keepsakes.

Someone wearing a brownish red mask in the form of a wolf howling at the moon steps into the room alongside the Mirrorsilver Moon, his tunic having been designed to match that of his mask, the cut of it snug in around his body. Eyes dart about the room, taking in his surroundings and those that have already gathered, only for him to then look back to Mirrorsilver Moon, a smile tugging to his lips in the process. A tilt of his head and he's murmuring something quietly, even as he gives a little nod.

Someone wearing a masculine mask of rose gold flames arrives alone and without any adornments on his person to distinguish himself, save for the beard and mustache that surrounded his lips and are exposed since he's only wearing a half-mask. His dark black hair can be seen outside of the half mask styled into a series of rose gold flames. He stops by to pick up one of the party favors and slips it onto his wrist, eyeing up what's happening and pausing long enough to grab a drink.

Someone wearing Mask of the Glorious Moon arrives with someone wearing a mask of the night sky, the pair clad in long duskweave gowns studded with glittering stars. They're similar and yet not the same, but very obviously part of a set. The moon is ludicrously tall and slender, while the night sky is rather shorter and less slender. They pause at the entrance, to admire and be admired, then move deeper into the swirling crowds.

Someone wearing Elegant Lady with a Spidery Veil gets a gleaming mirrorsilver bracelet from a starsilk canopy of the night sky, with dangling mirrorsilver keepsakes.

Someone wearing Midnight in the garden has joined the an area of the garden sectioned off for dancing.

Someone wearing blooming iris mask has the general air about her of one who is comfortable enough in large crowds to navigate them confidently, but in this case chooses to make judicious use of leaning on the arm of the man dressed in white she's arrived with. Perhaps so she can retain her balance when she stands up on the tip of her toes to look around and then make a gesture towards the garden benches and murmur something quietly. Destination acquired.

"Oof. Thank you," Archscholar tells Raven, following her along to a table. "I could have wandered around all evening, sad and lost."

Someone wearing A silk eye mask of sunshine has joined the an area of the garden sectioned off for dancing.

Someone wearing a dragon's hoard mask in burnished gold with sparkling gems gets a gleaming mirrorsilver bracelet from a starsilk canopy of the night sky, with dangling mirrorsilver keepsakes.

Someone wearing Mask of the Glorious Moon gets a gleaming mirrorsilver bracelet from a starsilk canopy of the night sky, with dangling mirrorsilver keepsakes.

Someone wearing Mask of the Night Sky has her arm tucked into that of the Glorious Moon, tilting her head and speaking to him quietly. There's a quiet snicker before she's tugging her much taller companion further in.

Someone wearing An Antlered Buck Mask stands tall and enters, taking care that the antlers of said mask don't snag on the entryway or any of the decorations. Within moments, they've found their way to refreshment, taking up a glass filled with red wine. They keep their peace, save to move along to the canopy and deftly scoop up a party favor before the run on them begins in earnest. "Ah, the sea of unfamiliar faces. As dazzling as it is dazing, every time." Casting a cursory glance at the tables, they appear to select one at random, and take their seat at the Night Sky Table.

Someone wearing Moonlit Mist Mask enters into the area and stops. It is probably because of all the people in there as eyes move from one to the other in thought before he strides forwards. Each of the seats and sitting area is glanced over before he moves over to find some liquid courage and then debate the area. He's all flashy in the many imitation stones on his outfit, but perhaps oddly, is not ready to jump in the mix yet.

Someone wearing An Antlered Buck Mask has joined the The Night Sky Table.

Someone wearing An evergreen mask of the woods enters the space with a mask of deep green, gems affixed across it as he scanned the location. His brown leather vest upon a white silk shirt would have a series of paw print across it, seeming to look about a bit, he would move towards where he believed his date to be sitting. His silken shirt was pulled up to the elbows, revealing his forearms and the tanned skin under it.

Someone wearing An evergreen mask of the woods has joined the The Night Sky Table.

Someone wearing Elegant Lady with a Spidery Veil seems a little uncertain on their feet as they move to join the garden bench along with the woman wearing the nightstar mask. They smooth their skirts just after they settle and then offer polite nods of greeting to everyone at the bench with them.

Someone wearing Impala Mask chuckles and escorts the 'mysterious stranger' in the domino mask back to a table, "Bah, I doubt that, Stranger. I bet it'd have been an adventure."

Someone wearing A Baby Fat Death One Mask laughs softly, and bobs their head, as they are approached. "I might be," is the quiet answer. "Is it close?" That too, with some hope. Simple Starlight might recognize the voice, of course. "There are so many very interesting and amazing masks and costumes. I'm not sure if the actual night sky can top it."

Someone wearing a black silk veil and golden headdress covered in gemstones follows along with her date in Silver Fox mask, locked arm in arm. "Terribly good. Look, a start to the night," she responds as they glide into the terrace. Grabbing a drink from a moving server, the Veiled lady moves with a shimmer of gems and chiming beads.

A woman - that much is sure - dressed in a mask like a rabbit - that also seems self-evident - walks into the ball to get a good look around the place. She wears a ballgown with a fluffy white skirt to match this masked look. She drifts around in a floating way. Seeing the moonlit mask pause by the drinks, she tilts at look at him, then gets herself some wine. Her mouth, which is visible under the mask, smiles slightly.

Someone wearing Rubicund Mask with Gold Filigree slips into the room, quietly moving off to the side as the important figures arrive.

Alantir passes into the Terrace Garden with a veiled guest in tow. Though the Oathlander wears no mask, his identity remains concealed beneath an ornate diamondplate armet. It's far from a disguise to those who are even vaguely familiar with the man, but he doesn't seem particular concerned with being identified in such a setting. "Quite the turnout. Not entirely sure why I expected otherwise," the knight confesses, voice muffled. "This way," he tells his companion, guiding her in the direction of a neighboring table. There, he draws back a chair and motions for the woman to sit.

Someone wearing Moonlit Mist Mask has joined the The Night Sky Table.

Someone wearing a brilliant and fierce blue dragon mask arrives with his treasure, most coveted indeed. There's a protective lean to the way he walks closely to her and urges others away if they happen to look like they might bump into her. As she whispers to him, he turns his head enough to catch each whispered word. A smile grows and then deepens at what he says to her, it looks like a joke. But then there's agreement and he indicates the bench with his chin to suggest that yes, this is indeed a good place to go and linger.

Alantir has joined the Constellation Table.

Someone wearing a masculine half-mask of the rising crescent moon is already well-occupied with the evening's festivities as people are starting to find their way into the terrace gardens of the palace. Those festivities for him are the person with the mask of all the black roses, he returns to her side with a pair of glasses - both wine, a white - and offers one over before leaning in to whisper something quiet between just the pair of them.

Someone wearing a shimmering snow white veil has joined the Constellation Table.

Someone wearing Swirling Galaxies Mask with Celestial Luster has joined the The Moon Table.

Someone wearing a crescent moon mirrorsilver mask flashes a grin up to the Wolf, keeping close to his side so as not to get swept away by the crowd as they make their way toward the drinks. She makes a small sound of distress as someone treads on her cape mid-stride, causing her to stumble back a step, after which she hurriedly gathers all of her various fabrics closer to her person with her free hand before pressing on to the refreshments.

A black swan is a unique creature, and this one is no different, entering accompanied by a rising sun. One hand is used to navigate an epic gown of black feathers, while the other is occupied with their companion's. There is a graceful movement in their steps, slippers that were made for dancing, cover her feet, and encourage a bit of a performance as she makes her entrance. The mystery of a masquerade is one that allows people to play a different role, or to be themselves, unfiltered. The benefits of anonymity. The black swan takes advantage, as she makes an unexpected spin, away and towards her partner, before settling back into the confident stride that takes her inside. Lush, inky black curls bounce with every move, and she seems content to allow them to move like some rogue uprising. The smile on her lips, though, somewhat obscure, is painted a crimson red, and is full and bright. There is excitement that brims around her, and she is here for the festivities, letting feathers shake as she enters.

"I didn't really feel like a costume," Someone in a simple Starlight Silk mask responds to the Fat Death One. "But yes, your representation of a Fat Death One looks very real," she grins, her amusement rolling off of her.

Someone wearing Moonlit Mist Mask reaches out for RABBIT's ear on the mask just a bit. His hand will touch it if she doesn't pull back, but then he offers a smile before heading out to the terrace and finding his first place of the evening there. It might end that he hops around.

Someone wearing a mask of an Ice Lord cast in iridescite and diamonds seems as equally at ease in a crowd this size as his iris-clad partner, his elbow crooked for her hand as he steps into the room, gleaming white apart from the splash of faint purple adorned into his mask. The Ice Lord turns this way and that, taking in the varying outfits for second, before he turns his attention, and gaze, to his partner. "The dress suits you even better than I had imagined," he's murmuring, with an obvious hint of satisfaction, letting her steer him towards the benches. Her murmur earns a flash of laughter from the man and a returning murmur.

Someone wearing a shimmering snow white veil breezes into the garden alongside Alantir, her face and figure obscured by a shimmering veil. The airy silk surrounds her almost completely, causing her to appear in soft, shifting focus as through a swirling snowstorm. Her voice is much clearer than his, issued as it is from behind his visor. "I'm not sure which of us can see the clearest. Try not to stomp over anyone?" It's hard to tell then if she follows him, or he her, towards the constellation table where they'll settle in, hopefully without bowling anyone over.

With another swig of the bottle, the blackberry wine and bramble, moves along -- sways on their feet, turns, dips. Smiling lazily. They turn, offering a bow to Midnight in the Garden along with Sunshine. "Pleasure's all mine."

Someone wearing a brownish red mask in the form of a wolf howling at the moon moves in tandem with the Mirrorsilver Moon towards the refreshments, but when there's a little mistep and stumble, he's pausing, only to then help her before murmuring something softly. That said, it's back to the table with the drinks and when it's reached, he's lifting a handing to take up a glass, only to extend it in her direction, "For you, Mistress Moon."

Someone wearing a mask of moonlight over water arrives alone, but he's a man in a ballgown tailored for a man, so that alone is a bit stand-out-ish and maybe an easy tip of the hand toward who it might be. His step is confident, self-assured, and quick to snag a glass of refreshment while Moon-Over-Water here assesses what conversational table to accost with his presence. Which lucky victims...

Someone wearing a brownish red mask in the form of a wolf howling at the moon gets a gleaming mirrorsilver bracelet from a starsilk canopy of the night sky, with dangling mirrorsilver keepsakes.

Someone wearing a bright golden mask formed into a rising sun turned the masked visage this way and that as the guests cycled through the terrace with much commotion and excitement. The countenance sported by the man supported a regal type of bearing within his steps; light catching radiant surfaces of the mask that basked out 'rays' of sunlight that could have been worthy of praise. These rays accentuated the movements of the Black Swan, letting her spin about with a flourish of silk-laden arm before finding the grip lacking before the spin had her rounding back toward partner. A vibrant face paned along the various benches and tables before he leaned along toward the Swan, motioning aside to one such.

Someone wearing Impala Mask bobs her head politely to those who join he Night Sky table, turning her head and taking in the arrivals and the seas of masks, "Wow, there are some wonderfully creatively rendered masks." She notes to her tablemates.

Someone wearing Mask of a Lunar Rabbit is okay with the touch. She gives a little squeak, though you aren't sure that's really a noise a rabbit makes. "So many moon masks!" she says with glee. "It's nice to see the theme of this event taken so seriously. I like yours." But then she bustles on... a glass of red wine in hand, she is looking at other moon masks as if seeking the moon itself to land on.

Someone wearing a contoured mask adorned in a spill of black roses twined through gleaming praseodymium accepts the glass of wine offered to her with a grateful smile and takes a long drink before she leans in to murmur something in return to her moon-masked companion. She pulls back to survey the crowd and says with a satisfied little smile, "Aren't they all so beautiful?"

Someone wearing the Mask of the Lady of Twilight Dreams steps into the crush of the masquerade as if it can't touch her at all, as if she commands space in a shimmer of sparkling starlight. Every movement she makes is calm grace, every step forward with a knowledge and a purpose, like she may know exactly where she is in relation to everyone around her. The living embodiment of encroaching night, she seems to bring the twilight with her where she goes.

Someone wearing The Nightstar, drifting elegance smiles and speaks to the others on the bench, tossing back her glass of wine before raising to head off into the crowd. Making her way for the space made ready for dancing. That's what they're here for after all.

Someone wearing The Nightstar, drifting elegance has left the Garden Bench.

Someone wearing The Nightstar, drifting elegance has joined the an area of the garden sectioned off for dancing.

Someone wearing blooming iris mask looks up to flash a slightly mischievous smile at her partner for the compliment paid. "I feel positively luxuriant in it. I won't even regale you with my antics in trying to find the jewelry to match it last night." she jokes, her free hand lifting to wave at the others at the garden benches as they go to settle in and enjoy the festivities. Whatever he murmurs back to her prompts what sounds distinctly like an uncharacteristic giggle from her. "No, I didn't start drinking early." she notes, just in case.

"I like yours --" Blackberry says to the Sunshine, before they realize it. "Oh. There was a theme. I missed that, didn't I." They shrug, carelessly, and continue to study the crowd. Getting restless at the dance floor. They offer a bow to the Nightstar, drifting elegance.

Someone wearing the Mask of the Lady of Twilight Dreams has joined the Garden Bench.

Someone wearing a brownish red mask in the form of a wolf howling at the moon dips his head one more in the direction of the Mirrorsilver Wolf before he's snagging up a glass for himself. It's lifted in a little salute before he's murmuring something quietly to her once again.

Someone wearing Mask of a Lunar Rabbit has joined the The Moon Table.

Someone wearing A beautiful mask of Blue Roses and silver beading has settled in at a table with their companion wearing the Mask of a horned deamon, still watching what is going on around them curiously

Someone wearing a bright golden mask formed into a rising sun has joined the Constellation Table.

Someone wearing gilded white swan mask makes her way in, a bit late. That doesn't stop her from seeking out a drink and then walking the perimeter of the party to get a lay of the land.

Treb, a restless direhorn, Dash, a Kite of the Cloudspine, a feral Bastion kitten arrive, following Someone wearing beaded silk datura mask.

Treb, a restless direhorn have been dismissed.

Dash, a Kite of the Cloudspine have been dismissed.

a feral Bastion kitten have been dismissed.

Teeter the Black-footed Ferret have been dismissed.

Someone wearing Swirling Galaxies Mask with Celestial Luster flags a waiter for passing snacks. She's mostly focusing on the palace's excellent liquor offerings though. As the crowd grows, she seems to withdraw more and more towards the shadows. Her platinum jewelry and ornate galaxy mask flashes a little in the light from the candles and lanterns illuminating the palace terrace.

Someone wearing a crescent moon mirrorsilver mask carefully accepts the glass the Wolf offers with a broad grin up to him, glancing over the various tables available as the pair stand in murmured conversation. She adjusts her attire, releasing his arm long enough to flick her cape and train out behind her once more, after which she makes a gesture in the direction of the canopy of keepsakes.

Someone wearing gilded white swan mask has joined the The Terrace.

Someone wearing Midnight in the garden slips away from the dancefloor to duck and weave through the crowd, locating a passing server in their path and swiping a bottle of wine and two glasses from it only to turn and find another platter out with nibbles upon it to also grab the entire platter and make their way back to the garden with a broad smile and nod to any who might look at their path and antics with a question.

The Nighstar returns the bow from the man in the Autumn Blackerry domino mask. "Your colors are stunning." The elegant woman in the ship-inspired outfit replies. She makes a space to dance and begins to sway in time to the music.

Dusty arrives, following Someone wearing wooden monkey mask.

Someone wearing a mask of moonlight over water's conversational victim has turned out to be Masculine Masc of Rose Gold Flames, and it is to this person he is speaking. Whatever their conversation entails, it does involve a little twirl of the gown from Moon-Over-Water, who is showing off his attire and is probably not sober.

Someone wearing Mask of a Frost-Hardy Moonflower is on the arm of Moth, all bright smiles underneath her mask. "It's so beautiful," she remarks, voice low with wonder and appreciation. "Yes, please. Drink first. I will not survive if we don't," she insists, tone light and silly as she nods toward some refreshments to stock up with first. "We could always help the dancing get started before my second foot grows. Or..." She hums lowly, trying to skim empty seats and spots at tables with curiosity.

Someone wearing gilded black swan mask has joined the Constellation Table.

Blackberry, restless, paces to the outside edge of the dancefloor -- turns, offers a deeper bow, and they turn to pass the wine bottle they were holding to a passing attendant. Returning to dance near the Nightstar. "My colors are stunning. Only as stunning as a thing of nature can be, Nightstar. You, a marvel of artifice and magic --" they compliment, sincerely.

Someone wearing a masculine half-mask of the rising crescent moon listens in silence to the whisper bestowed upon him and then he spends a long moment watching all the beautiful masks as the woman of the black roses next to him points out while he half-finishes the glass of wine he'd just found in but one drink. "Honestly, seeing all the creative ideas is my second favorite part of these things..", he promises in the wake of his moment with the wine. "You'll never guess what my first favorite part is..", he goes on to tease with a little too much innocence, taking her by the hand and pulling her out and amongst the people who are mingling to revel.

Someone wearing an elegantly asymmetrical silk mask sparkling under countless mirrorsilver beads comes in, her eyes looking through her mask closely. She seems to be taking in her environment. Her painted lips curve into a smile as she goes to find a drink and seat

Someone wearing a brownish red mask in the form of a wolf howling at the moon continues to converse quietly with the Mirrorsilver Moon, though his gaze shifts over in the direction of the Canopy before looking back. After a moment, he's beginning to guide the Moon in that direction.

Someone wearing a masculine mask of rose gold flames laughs softly after admiring a mask of moonlight over. With a lifted toast of his drink and perhaps a whispered promise, he starts to glide through the party as if in search for someone.

Someone wearing A silk eye mask of sunshine waves towards the woman wearing bursting, blooming lily mask and the man wearing an evergreen mask giving them a knowing and friendly look.

Someone wearing Impala Mask's head titls back a bit and she issues a honeyed alto cascade of laughter at a compliment from her tablemate "Thank you. Nice suit."

Someone wearing wooden monkey mask is utterly mysterious without any followers that give him away. Nope. Only a monkey here. Yup. Either way, he stops not far from the entrance to have a quick scan of the room for uh, a drink.

Someone wearing Moonlit Mist Mask has left the The Night Sky Table.

Someone wearing an elegantly asymmetrical silk mask sparkling under countless mirrorsilver beads has joined the Constellation Table.

"As you wish," is the Moth's reply to Moonflower, though for that moment there's a brief light of a smile on his lips as he does so. It's a good opportunity for even more people watching as they make their way over first to where they can claim a drink, and then he is eyeing the dance floor. It doesn't look like it's with trepidation, but masks are wonderful for shielding such things. But then he nods towards the terrace. "Perhaps we can wait there, until we are fortified enough to claim a dance?" he suggests.

Someone wearing a black silk veil and golden headdress covered in gemstones has already finished one glass, and given into reminiscing with her Silver Fox date about their first romance on a terrace. They are laughing at some part of the telling. Iron Guard, Join, fetch, and ice are all heard coming from the Silver Fox through the crowd, along with the laughter of the Veiled Lady.

Someone wearing Moonlit Mist Mask stands from one table to get more alcohol. All the liquid courage! He will nod to those he passes, but he seems to be taking in the outfits with a thoughtful 'Hmm'.

Someone wearing beaded silk datura mask has joined the The Night Sky Table.

Someone wearing Silver Fox Mask is indeed on the terrace with someone wearing a black silk veil and golden headdress covered in gemstones. As they drink and laugh and reminisce and make new, mysterious friends, the Silver Fox's arm is around her date's waist, hand on her hip, in a way that seems fiercely possessive.

Someone wearing The Nightstar, drifting elegance laughs at what the Blackberry domino mask says, "A testimate to the one who brought me to life." She agrees while she moves in time to the music. Her wooden heels occasionally clap sharply with a step and the swirl of her tiered skirts whispers with her movement. "Though I cannot compare to most of the gathered oppulence here."

Someone wearing a contoured mask adorned in a spill of black roses twined through gleaming praseodymium was mid-drink before the wearer of the rising crescent moon mask (one of them at least) starts to pull her the crowd, so she has to hurriedly swallow before she chokes and spews wine all over the dress of exquisite black roses that clings to her delicate figure. She still has the wineglass in hand as she weaves through the crowd and asks with a touch of laughter to warm up her tone, "I cannot guest what the first part is. I suppose you will need to tell me..."

"There's a wonderful freedom, yes, in the addition of a mask -- moonlight. Risks are taken, inhibitions are lowered." Blackberry waits in the lull in between songs to fetch another swig from their bottle. "So. Who cares. You don't need to compare yourself to others," Blackberry tells the Nightstar in confidence. "Compare yourself, now, to yourself that was before. You'll see that you've probably come along very far."

Someone wearing A Baby Fat Death One Mask manages to awkwardly drink after their companion passes them a glass. Hooves can make for difficult dining choices. There's conversation going on, as the terrace view is admired, and Baby Fat Death One seems to be enjoying chatting while enjoying the opportunity to watch all the beautiful costumes and the view.

Truth be told, the broad-shouldered monkey mask guy looks somewhat out-of-place. He's not high-society, that's for certain, with his mask made with little thought and seems to be wearing his everyday clothing. Still, he's quick to find himself a glass of brandy... it appears the first thing he reaches for, and then he heads toward the food table. He may as well be the rift-raft, but on the bright side he carries himself with easy confidence and there's at least a hint of a charming gaze evident through the eye-sockets of the monkey mask.

Someone wearing the Mask of the Lady of Twilight Dreams drifts languidly towards the dance floor, her elegant hand in the hand of the Elegant Lady with a Spidery Veil. The sculpted mask glints, the setting of the sun, ever darkening as they walk, lights tracing off of it like stars.

Someone wearing a crescent moon mirrorsilver mask beams up at the Howling Wolf from where they stand conversing near the keepsake canopy, tilting her glass up to swiftly finish her beverage before setting the glass aside and turning to move for the dance floor. As she does, she gathers up her filmy cape, draping it in the crook of her arm to avoid any more incidents.

Someone wearing simple Starlight Silk mask departs from the Terrace, looking more than a bit nervous with the crowd around her. She's heading for the exit.

Someone wearing A beautiful mask of Blue Roses and silver beading is sipping their wine while the watch what is happening from the table they sit at with thair companion

Someone wearing a brownish red mask in the form of a wolf howling at the moon offers the Mirrorsilver Moon a swift smile before his own drink is finished and the glass set aside so that he can move to guide her to the section of the floor that has been relegated to dancing. For those that are already present, there's a polite nod of his head given and when he finds an empty section of floor, he's turning to face the Mirrorsilver Moon, only to step in so that he can offer his arms for a dance.

Someone wearing Swirling Galaxies Mask with Celestial Luster steps away on her platinum-plated stilettos to grab a platter of food. Her silvery eyes focus on the room as a whole, taking it in, before she slinks back to her corner. She's not conversing much even with her table. A hand brushes over her salt-and-pepper hair before she sets the plate aside to grab more alcohol. She's several glasses in at this point. Food and drink obtained, she goes back to lurking.

There's a brief conversation between the monkey mask and the asculine mask of rose gold flames. When the other man leaves, the person in the monkey masks looks toward the other wide of the Terrace Garden to no avail. Before he has a chance to ask another question, the person departs. He lifts his mask up just enough to drink his drink, revealing stubble beneath. At that point, he heads past the garden bench seeing it occupied by only do, and so heads to the terrace next captivated by the Baby Fat Death outfit.

Someone wearing Mask of a Lunar Rabbit wanders to the dance floor for a moment, but apparently mostly to people watch. She then wanders out toward the terrace, where it seems more than a few are enjoying the view. She gets another glass of wine in gloved hands as she does so, careful not to spill it over the white gown she's wearing.

Someone wearing Silver Fox Mask is over at the terrace, with her arm still jealously slung around the woman in the black silk veil and golden headdress. She's lifting up her glass of port and laughing in excitement. There seems to be a toast to something happening on yonder terrace.

There seems to be a stomp of a fat death one foot, a couple more glasses of alcohol, and a lot of laughter on the terrace. Fat Death One is relaxed over there, along with those enjoying the view.

Gold, ebon. A good luck hare in gown of golden rose leather -- leaving behind the faintest sweetness of the blooms in her wake. She wets her lips, out-of-breath, and she saunters to follow the mingling party guests toward the refreshments table. A glass of something delicate, is scooped up -- swigged back, and she sets it right back on the table. "I can't see anything," she complains of the mask lenses obscuring her view.

Preston is approached suddenly by a figure in a black veil who rests a hand on his arm and murmurs into his ear.

Someone wearing A beautiful mask of Blue Roses and silver beading is seen leaving the moon table, leaning in close to their partner wearing the black horned demon mask as they make their way towards the section setup for dancing

Someone wearing The Nightstar, drifting elegance has joined the The Moon Table.

Someone wearing Hunting Osprey enters the area, moving awkwardly as if this is most intimidating thing ever. She nervously holds one arm across her body, squeezing her other bicep as she looks around foolishly for anyone she may recognise. Of course she doesn't, being a Masquerade and so there she remains, shifting her weight from foot to foot nervously.

Viviana removes the mask entirely, cheeks spotted with flushed spots of color -- she keeps it in her hand, left dangling from her fingers as she seeks out another glass of sparkling wine.

Someone wearing Impala Mask looks around curiously and wonders to the man in the snazzy suit and Domino Mask, "You want to see if we can guess who is who?"

Someone wearing Mask of the Glorious Moon and the Someone wearing Mask of the Night Sky are mostly watching, seeing and being seen, to one side of the gathering. They have a drink each and something to nibble, but for the most part seem to be content to keep to themselves.

Someone wearing The Nightstar, drifting elegance snags herself a glass of wine and sails off to find a seat at a less crowded table. She drops into a chair at the moon table and sighs, commenting to the others.

Someone wearing the Mask of the Lady of Twilight Dreams laces her fingers in the hand of her partner, eyes gleaming with bright intent beneath the Twilight mask. Her skin, bronzed and yet glittering black where the light touches it, is supple and smooth, fluid as the Twilight Lady turns, leading the Elegant Lady with a Spidery Veil off the dance floor... and toward the exit.

Runtystiltskin, the runted war elk arrives, delivering a message to Someone wearing the Mask of the Lady of Twilight Dreams before departing.

A keaton hound sidles his way into the room, dressed plainly in browns and the bejeweled mask. He lifts his hand to scratch at his beareded jaw not covered by mask and regards the room.

Someone wearing wooden monkey mask departs the Terrace after a time, fishing up a drink. As a tray passes by him, he's quick to replace the empty glass with a full one and gifting the tray with the empty glass. He continues to walk the room, drink in hand.

Someone wearing Swirling Galaxies Mask with Celestial Luster smirks to herself and drawls, in a very rough Lycene alto, "If anyone else goes on the Terrace it might topple over from the weight." She lifts her glass over to that section of the palace. More wine, some of the palace best.

Someone wearing The Nightstar, drifting elegancewatches the dance floor for a moment a smile curling her lips as she takes another drink of her wine.

Someone wearing A mask that shines like a setting sun steps off the terrace just as that is said, her gaze drawing back to the dance floor for a moment as she continues to wander the party.

Someone wearing A mask that shines like a setting sun has left the The Terrace.

Someone wearing a feathered wolf mask doesn't particularly stand out, but she's been interacting with people in some fashion, presumably amiably, and holding a glass of wine that she hasn't actually sipped from (as that would require actually moving the mask a little). But there's a sudden sharp hiss from her, a startled grasp at her masked face, and she nearly drops the glass in the moment. She doesn't - she doesn't even spill it - and a moment later she straightens, and there's little more to notice from a distance.

As the servants circulate through the terrace gardens, offering full wine glasses in exchange for empty ones and plying the guests with snacks that vary from simple pieces of cheese to more elaborate creations of spun sugar that look like something out of a dream.

Someone wearing the Mask of the Lady of Twilight Dreams has joined the The Terrace.

He moves through the gathering, the dog faced man looking here and there. Looking at some of the masks present. "Not mine." He talks more to himself as he goes, clutching a glass of some wine in hand as he slinks about.

Someone wearing Elegant Lady with a Spidery Veil has joined the The Terrace.

Someone wearing a domino mask that's pretty obviously the Archscholar offers his arms to the Impala and Datura both, though he does have to hold onto his wineglass so one's a bit awkward. As the person in the swan mask arrives, he offers a smile and some quieter words of greeting.

Someone wearing An Antlered Buck Mask has joined the The Night Sky Table.

Someone wearing the Mask of the Lady of Twilight Dreams is about to lead the Elegant Veiled Lady out when a messenger intercepts her. Sparkling hands reach out to accept an ornamental box, about the size of a dagger. It gives the Lady of Twilight Dreams pause, and then she spins to her companion, her voice a susurration of anticipation. "We must find Lady Olivia Ashford, first. And then, I'll spin you the Night out of Dreams." Towards the Terrace, then, the pair go.

Someone wearing Elegant Lady with a Spidery Veil follows the lady of twilight dreams over to the terrace. "Do you know what mask she is wearing?"

Someone wearing Impala Mask pauses and turns to study the man in the Buck mask, chortling, "Did you come back to ask for backup?"

Away from the terrace, after some time there, Death Fat One steps to the main area, with company, apparently heading towards the dance floor. There is a gentle clack clack of hooves on the terrace.

Someone wearing the Mask of the Lady of Twilight Dreams inclines her masked head to the Spidery Veiled Lady, the movement a sunset in motion. "I saw her earlier, when she was healing me from the other evening's... excitement. I'll know it when I see it and... oh! Do you smell that?" Her eyes rivet to the Silver Fox. "Someone smells like me. And is ordering whiskey." She lifts a black-glittery hand, tugging Spidery Veil on.

Someone wearing a cross owl mask offers some of the cheese and sugar surprise treats to the Death One while walking beside the Death One towards the dance floor. It doesn't seem like the Death One has a costume that permits easy fetching of their own food or drink.

Someone wearing a masculine half-mask of the rising crescent moon has been caught up in a dance with his companion, she of the black roses, for the last little bit. A slow, wandering sort of thing. But finally he breaks away - if it can be called that - and promises her, "It wouldn't be much of a fair challenge if I never give you the chance to win.", with perfect confidence. It's the kind of time he uses to look her up and down in the finery of her night's gown, the admiration shining through even from behind the lunar mask he's wearing. It's safe to say he lingers on the sight of her for a little too long before he slips a hand around her own and starts to pull her through the people once more, over into the direction of one of the tables where plenty are gathering.

More laughter and quiet words are exchanged between the Ice Lord and his Blooming Iris partner. The Lord pulls her back into the flow of the dance, a fast pace that will undoubtedly leave them breathless, and then finally he guides her off the floor, his arm crooked for her to take, the very picture of poised and unhurried as they seek the exit.

The treats are taken. Eating is just a touch awkward, but it is doable. And Fat Death One pauses at the edge of the dance floor to consume the food, in preparation for dancing. "If the hooves do land on your feet, Owl, I do apologize." There's a moment and then a step onto the dance floor proper.

"Dancing," the barely-disguised Archscholar tells Impala. He gestures to Datura, the Buck, and the White Swan. "Unless you needed to rest a moment," he adds to that last one.

Someone wearing gilded white swan mask has left the The Night Sky Table.

Someone wearing a contoured mask adorned in a spill of black roses twined through gleaming praseodymium doesn't seem particularly put out to have her attention so thoroughly dominated by her masked companion. In fact, the only thing that manages to steal even a moment's worth of her attention in return is a passing servant with a tray of tiny slices of layer cake balanced on his shoulder. She gives the tray a momentarily look of longing before the crescent moon masked man manages to steal her focus right back with his words. She grins in return and says with a gracious nod, "How sporting of you to accept your potential defeat and -not- try to cheat. Very gallant." She does manage to snag a chocolate off of a different tray with her free hand while she is pulled along through the crowd by the other.

Someone wearing a beautiful black lace veil lets out a really loud, unreasonably echoey laugh at something said at the terrace and needs to drain a glass of wine to stop herself.

Someone wearing blooming iris mask is exhilarated rather than exhausted by the fast pace of that last dance, though she waves a hand in front of her face before making some no doubt witty comment to her Icy partner. Before they find the exit, she lifts a hand and wiggles fingers in a cheerful wave towards two other masked people who know exactly who they are.

By the smirk on her lips, it's devious, and that smile grows as she reaches for the rising's suns hand and holds it, as she tugs him along with her, leading them with fervor towards the dance floor. She doesn't even wait to reach it before she is dancing on her own accord, enjoying the journey as much as the destination, it appears. Someone wearing Silver Fox Mask, over at the terrace, has some sort of strange outburst directed at the person in the Feathered Wolf mask -- the word 'no' is uttered in sharp tones something like six times, maybe more -- and then follows it up by kissing the Lady of Twilight Dreams in a manner that can best be described as 'basically a headbutt with mouth contact.'

Someone wearing The Nightstar, drifting elegance drifts off to get herself more wine and after only a few steps on the dance floor she shcnages her angle to head to sit on the Garden bench to drink another glass of wine.

Someone wearing a feathered wolf mask is probably staring at Silver Fox; her face is entirely obscured, but really.

Someone wearing A Baby Fat Death One Mask promptly stops dancing, glaring at the cross owl at something murmured. "As if!" Then there's a complete about face, and the Fat Death One walks right off the dance floor, leaving the Owl to his own devices.

Someone wearing a cross owl mask has left the an area of the garden sectioned off for dancing.

Someone wearing a cross owl mask laughs briefly alone on the dance floor before jogging after the Death One. It turns out that even thirty seconds of behaving was a generous estimation. They fetch another sugary treat and a drink before catching up to the Death One. "I offer bribery for not being trampled." This...probably doesn't help the situation!

Clack clack go the hooves and swish goes the tail. Baby Fat Death One pauses to shake their head negatively at cross owl, apparently not so easily bribed. For at least thirty seconds. "Fine," is said finally. "But you can dance with someone else after that insult."

Someone wearing the Mask of the Lady of Twilight Dreams has left the The Terrace.

Someone wearing the Mask of the Lady of Twilight Dreams has joined the Garden Bench.

Someone wearing the Mask of the Lady of Twilight Dreams slips away from the Terrace after her deliciously unrestrained kiss with the Silver Fox, and her glide is angled now to the garden bench and the Nightstar, whom she bows her head to. "Might I admire you a moment, Nightstar?"

Someone wearing Silver Fox Mask reaches down and claps her hand against the Lady of Twilight Dreams's Lady of Twilight Ass as she departs. "Don't tarry," she says.

Someone wearing The Nightstar, drifting elegance's poised, sated on the bench and watching all the dancers and the colorful costumes as they go by. She looks up at the Twilight Lady and gestures to the ide open bench beside herself with a curl of her black lips. "Certainly." She replies in invitation.

Someone wearing a cross owl mask shrugs and has a drink of the wine. "See, this is why my teaching dancing will be left to the tutors." Glancing back over to the dance floor. "I estimate my odds to catch a dance partner aren't high after having one run off the floor from me." A beat as if it's actually lack of dancing skills that cased that, but the owl looks genuinely contrite, laughter banished for the moment. "I'm sorry. That was a thoughtless thing to say."

Someone wearing a feathered wolf mask rather abruptly departs the terrace for the dance floor. She doesn't have a dance partner with her, unless one counts the whiskey glass she's holding very close to her mask.

Someone wearing A Baby Fat Death One Mask sips the wine they've been given, and finally smiles at the cross owl. "Then perhaps you will escort me to a seat and find more to drink and eat?" is offered. "I'm certain Baby Fat Death Ones must eat a lot." The Lady of Twilight Dreams' movement is noted, as is the feathered wolf mask. Snout moves as head turns, and it does look quite awkward. Maybe adorably so.

Someone wearing Hunting Osprey watches the ass slapping at then the others leaving the terrace including Feathered Wolf before she glances to Lunar Rabbit. "Careful. Foxes and Rabbits mingling never do well for the Rabbits last I checked." She grins, the smile visible beneath the mask.

Someone wearing a cross owl mask nods in agreement. "I imagine so, too. Maybe that's why they're called Death Ones... it's like a field of carnage where they go?" This is said as the owl leads the way over towards one of the tables.

Someone wearing Impala Mask giggles and moves to make sure there's enough clearance for the three of them. She too begins jigging. This is NOT the music for jigging but she doesn't care. Her left arm sways and flops impotently by her side as she jigs with her two companions.
