Someone, commonly known as Felicia, totally forgot that tonight was the night of darts and drinking, at least to judge from the way the redheaded knight stops sharp like she ran into a wall when she finds the place filled with a crowd of mostly familiar faces and stares for the space of about three heartbeats like she's about to pivot on heel and march right back out again. And then a breath is taken, and another before she elects to gather up her hair, twist it into a loose bun and stick her hairpins in it before there's the thundering sound of Redrain behind her, eyes going wide before she laughs,"I haven't seen him yet?" she offers to the taller redhead, reaching out to clap her shoulder and turning towards the bar as a whole like a woman determined.
And a second later Sir Jeffeth Bayweather comes in just as fast, slowing himself with a pained grimace as he sees Agatha clearly in front of him. The large man punches his own leg in acknowledgment of his defeat. "Alright, alright." He grunts as he pants, going to pat Agatha's shoulder in congrtulations of winnning their foot race.
Wash is quietly drinking by a window seat. Someone headed this way is whom he is expecting, which causes him to sigh in either relief or disappointment.
Eilonwy sticks out her tongue at Brogan. "Here's me trying to grow as a person. Not a lot of Northerners left to snag." She retorts and joins Derovai with a nod. "Watch you drink so much you puke? What has my life come to that that's becoming the highlight of my entertainment?" She wonders with a laugh.
A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Josephine before departing.
Echo arrives, following Claude.
Iseulet is seated quietly for the moment over by the fireside table with her rum, watching people filter in quietly, going mostly unnoticed.
Eilonwy has joined the Darkened Booth.
Acacia nods to Magpie and then grins to see Mae arrive. Giving Brogan a little wink, she detours to quietly stand beside her cousin. She coughs one to get Mae's attention and then grins down at her, throwing open her arms for a hug. "I lived!" she declares with a big smile. "I get hugs, right?" she grins a little more.
Halfway through slipping through the crowds, Genevieve turns with raised eyebrows when Agatha storms in. A chuckle slips from her mouth, growing stonger when Jeffeth makes his own entrance. She then walks over to the bar, grinning.
Jeffeth has joined the Hearthside Table.
Josephine slips in, drawn by the influx of people to the place.
"But it is," Derovai remarks to Eilonwy, grinning brightly to her. "Isn't it?" And he sprawls back in the booth to chat with her, although not without a flinch when Agatha enters so loudly, and then a sympathetic wince shot Mae.
Ian leans back against the bar, with his cane leaning against his leg, sips his rum, and watches the room. His focused gaze moves from person to person, usually lingering a little bit too long to be polite, before moving on. He gives Magpie a quick smile and a shake of his head, chatting at the bar.
Sabella steps into the Murder of Crows like she's stepping into the palace itself, all wide eyes and excitement. "This. Place. Is. Perfect!" she just about squeals, hands coming up to her mouth to cover the huge, brilliant smile she has that if Mae sees she'd probably have a comment for. "Hello, everyone!" she calls out with a wave, cheerfully making her way over to where Wash is, "Isn't this great!? Think of the money that she'll raise tonight!"
"Are you really going to give me grief for not hugging you when I'm trying to carry a million crates?" Mae grouses at Acacia. But she does unload those boxes, then she steps over and throws her arms around Acacia, and squeezes her bone-crushingly tight. Cause Mae's are actually strong.
Sabella has joined the Hearthside Table.
Looking towards the door, then to Agatha, Brogan calls out "And more Redheads..." laughing a bit as he does, and waves in her direction, "and looks like you're first." His grin broadening out at Jeffeth, "Close one, though, Sir Jeffeth. Close one." When Eilonwy sticks her tongue out at him, he returns the favor, "And growin' quite well, I see." He pours a glass, then takes a long drink as Felicia walks in, and he raises a glass to her, "Well Met, Felicia."
Genevieve has joined the Crow Bar.
Sabella has left the Hearthside Table.
Sabella has joined the Window Table.
Niklas has joined the Window Table.
Carissa, a Malvici bodyguard, Planchet the Lycene maggiordome arrive, following Eirene.
Agatha lets out a ROAR of a "HAH!" when Jeffeth comes in behind her. She may try not to gloat in the ring, but she totally throws her arms up over her head in triumph here. "I'm sorry, what was alright Sir Jeffeth?" She grins at him as she catches her breath (not that it takes all that long) and then looks around. "Hey! I know people here! UNCLE BROGAN!" She reaches up to pull off the bear helm and read hair frizzes out in a big all over pouf of disarray to prove his point. "HELLO THE BAR!"
Wash doesn't rise when Sabbella joins his table, but he gestures for her to join him casually. "Beer?" He offers, he bought a pitcher intending to share it.
A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Eirene before departing.
It's DARTS AND DRINKING time! That means tables are moved, a tarp is laid out, dart boards are lined up. There's food cooking, and it looks like the Murder went all this time! Ribs*! And fries! And piles of coleslaw. Deliciousness! Oh, and to celebrate spring, there's fresh flowers all over the place. Smells lovely in here!
Orrin enters the room, drawing back the hood of his spring cloak. As he regards everyone in the room with a gaze from his deep brown eyes, he ventures in deeper into the tavern and toward the help to pay for a ticket.
Felicia's not going to wait for the drinking contest, at least, whiskey is snagged from the bar with a tight smile for Mae before she heads Brogan's call and elects to head to his table,"Room for another?" the question asked with a tilt of the bottle his way.
The large knight smiles over to Brogan, bowing in concession. "Next time." He grunts. Making his way over to the hearthside bar, Jeffeth goes to tuck his giant body away.
12 Thrax Elite Guards, Crow - Thraxian Steward, Lilybelle - Fluffy Maine Coon arrive, following Victus.
Waldemai snares a rib. Ahhh....Meat!
Lilybelle - Fluffy Maine Coon have been dismissed.
Carissa, a Malvici bodyguard have been dismissed.
Josephine is just going to make her way to the bar, careful of the tarp and looking for a safe place to settle.
Josephine has joined the Crow Bar.
Sabella gives Wash the excited look of someone who never has beer and doesn't know that she shouldn't be excited about it in a place like this. "Yes! Wait. Isn't there a drinking contest? Should we maybe not drink until then? Though, it's probably a terrible idea for me to try that at all, considering how quickly I was ready to fall over the other night."
Eirene is all black leather and crimson steelsilk, making her look like a rich mercenary more than a 'silk'. She enters uneasily and eyes the huge crowd.
A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Eirene before departing.
Echo have been dismissed.
Genevieve raises a hand in greeting to Agatha, smiling with genuine warmth that goes all the way to her gray eyes. "Hello, Agatha."
Acacia gives a laugh that is promptly cut off by Mae's enthusiastic hug, still holding her empty glass and too full bottle of whiskey. She smiles broadly and hugs her back with equal affection. "Missed you, MaeMae. How can I help?" she asks, giving a little nod to Felicia and then some of the new faces as they arrive. "Quite the crowd. I like it," giving Brogan a little upnod and a look to at a chair so he can save her a seat.
Waldemai snares ein Corgi rib. Ahhh...Meat!
Jareth finishes his drink and quietly makes his way past everyone towards the door.
Arion blinks as the place begins to swiftly fill up with people. All the tables seem to fill before he can find one to steal for himself. He sighs and starts towards the bar after that, smiling faintly as he catches sight of a familiar face and head of red hair. "Hello Sister." He greets Felicia with a soft smile before ordering some whiskey for himself.
Zoey grins at Magpie and whispers something back. Then she looks at Ian and nods. "It's a date," he says companionably. "We go on dates all the time."
Passing through the door with a dozen or so guardsmen at his back is Victus. The High Lord has looked better, being a man recently returned from war. New scars and a new sling for his arm being the two signs of the battles recently passed. He makes some gestures for his men to go have a sit-down and enjoy themselves for the time being. His black eyes shift to settle on Magpie, moving to join the man at the bar. "I never can get here exactly on time." He would lament. "It's always fucking two, three, four, or five minutes passed opening hour. Shit, must make me look like one of those fashionably late silkies."
Victus has joined the Crow Bar.
Felicia has joined the Murder Table.
"Beer doesn't count as drinking." Wash says matter-of-factly. "Takes too much to get you drunk. One just pisses it out as fast as one takes it in."
Agatha has joined the Crow Bar.
Niklas comes in, looks around and plops himself down at the table with his cousin, the one that isn't actually related to him, and Sabella. "Princess, Wash. Er. But not princess Wash. Obviously. I hope." He looks around the room looking for faces he recognizes. Oh, hey, there's shitloads of them. Normally he'd hand out polite nods, but he's just end up looking very agreeable so instead raises a hand in the general direction of everyone and hopes they all think it was just for them.
Among the many people entering the Murder, Echo can be seen weaving her way through the crowd of people before narrowing her eyes on Agatha. The bear-in-training scoots on over to the woman's side with her lips pulled into a warm smile. "Ags! Good to see you!" In a show of camaraderie, she claps the woman on the shoulder. "What's good on the menu here?"
A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Eirene before departing.
2 King's Own Guardsmen arrives, following Eleanor.
"Arion, come here and meet Brogan." Felicia calls to her brother, dropping herself into a seat across from the Northener and opening up the bottle to pour a couple of generous glasses.
Brogan looks up to Felicia, sliding out the chair to his other side, "You're always welcome.. especially when you've got Whiskey." and he nods to Jeffeth in return. He grins at Acacia, nodding to the previous seat he offered, and then putting a boot in it for her. He looks up as Felicia talks about meeting someone, "Eh? Who am I meetin'?"
Eirene lingers near the door, which means most of the latecomers have to pass by her. She nods vaguely to Victus and deals with a courier. She is debating moving further in but the crowd seems to have her reluctant. She raises a hand in vague greeting to the room and heads back out. Too much to deal with.
Agatha will probably make her way to various ports of call through the evening, but it seems only natural to start at the bar. She smiles at Genevieve, a nice friendly look, but then there's an Echo and it's an Echo in training, and tonight's lesson appears to be Surviving Your Fellow Bears' Hugs! "COUSIN!" She leans forward and wraps the smaller Redrain in a hug, lifting her off her feet and squeezing. At least it's not one of the true bone crushers. "Who do you know here?"
Waldemai spots Lady Eirene heading for the door and waves his cap.
Acacia gives a nod to the others at the table as she arrives. Hooking the chair with booted foot she pulls it out and gracefully takes a seat, placing the bottle on the table and sliding it to Brogan. "Be a love and open that will you? I can't be throwing things without being at least a little drunk," she teases with a grin.
Acacia has joined the Murder Table.
Eirene waved back to Waldemai before scooting out, muttering excuse mes as she shoulders past.
Iseulet slips out after a few words with Jeffeth, waving goodbye over her shoulder.
Iseulet has left the Hearthside Table.
Alsandair leaves, following Iseulet.
Orrin approaches the bar and orders himself a drink. He acknowledges those sitting there with a nod as he waits for his drink, before walking away with it to the tavern's general area. Finding a sturdy column, he leans against it and sips on his mug as he watches idly.
"No, no. Enjoy yourself," Mae says, to Acacia, with a smile. "Make sure Mags doesn't get lonely," she adds. Then she waves over to Felicia. And then, she's moving to the center of the room. Small as she is, she doesn't have too much trouble being /loud/. "Welcome everyone! If you are here to partake in either activity, the cost is 1,000 silver PER EVENT for nobles and FREE for commoners. You can thank Count Orrin for that, even if he didn't return my letter!" calls out Mae. "Now, We will start with darts! I'll make up our brackets once I get everyone's name. I'm also announcing our new rule - if you won last time, you can't compete in the next one! Princess Reese isn't here, so shouldn't be an issue. Tonight's dart tournament's prize is a TWO RUBICUND INGOTS donated by Baron Audric!"
Waldemai woofs. "I could do something with a prize like that!" Alas he hasn't got da skillz...
"Ooof!" Echo squirms and wriggles in Agatha's arms. "Hey you!" When she's settled back on her feet she taps Agatha on the nose. "I know a decent amount of people out here." Her gaze drifts over the sea of people. "Still, it feels a bit unfamiliar since I rarely come out here." She settles in a seat near Agatha, voice falling silent as Mae begins to speak. And then she twists in her seat to look at Agatha. "Are you going to give this one a go?"
Eilonwy gets to her feet at the booth with Derovai, talking lightly with a smile. She walks away for a moment to go get a drink, looking about idly as she navigates the crowd.
Orrin cranes his head to the woman announcer, raising his mug to everyone when she mentions his name, adding, "In honor of those chained and now free."
Jeffeth is sitting alone now that Iseulet left, slowly reclining in his chair the big man folds his large arms over his chest and waits quietly for the competitions to begin!
Luca drifts in with much less fanfare than would be the usual for him. Just inside, his dark gaze can't help but note so many familiar faces. With one hand resting very casually on the pommel of his sheathed sword, he plunges into the crowd rather than lingering for too long near the entrance. It's like a dance for him, the way he skirts around the gathered while still managing to mingle, just out of reach of actually brushing up against anyone. It's hard to tell where he's going, just yet, seeming to be headed - after a moment of deliberation - for one of the tables.
Sabella stands up and says, "I'm in!" And then says to Wash and Niklas, "I will be back really soon. Embarrassingly soon. Actually, do you have things you can hide behind? Be right back!" and then she's darting off to Mae.
Derovai leans back to let Eilonwy go, raising a hand. "I'm in, Mae." He offers Luca a quick grin as the duelist ambling in, adding, "He'd better not be participating."
Felicia raises her own glass at Orrin's toast, giving a cheer of her own in agreement before she nods Mae's direction,"Excuse me." is offered to Brogan and Acacia,"Save my spot, going to go pay the lady."
Niklas waves a hand toward Arik. "Ahoyhoy, Lord Arik. Come on over, I owe you a hangover."
Acacia nods to Mae and beckons Magpie over to the table. "Birdie, come keep me out of trouble. I'm feeling it's going to be a night," she says with a flash of a wicked smile. Honey brown eyes turn as more arrive and she smiles a little more. "Sounds good, Mae. Sign me up."
Agatha goes crosseyed for a second trying to see the spot on her nose that has been tapped, reaching up to rub at it. Then she huhs at Echo's question. "I'm not sure. Why don't we make it so one of us does the darts and one does the drinking contest," she suggests, eyes lighting up cause clearly this is an Inspired Idea! "Which do you want to do?"
Clank. Clank. Clank. Yep, that's him! The Sword of Halfshav, trotting on in on the quick step. He looks from person to person with something of curiousity, though, upon seeing a few people he knows, he waves in their direction. His brows knit together, slightly. "Hmph," he remarks, his head tilting towards those he knows. There is something of a glance paid towards the dart board -- and then, he looks at who is present. Shrugging, he says, "Is be back." There's a look towards Niklas. "Is need monies first. Will return."
"Oh? All redheads? Nope..." Brogan grins at Felicia, a friendly smile follows, and then he looks up as Luca comes drifting in. The big Northman shouts out, "Luca! Whiskey in abundance here, and we've got most of the Red Heads too..." and he nods to Felicia to save her seat. He puts his boot in Felicia's chair, and motions over for his friend to have a seat with him.
Orrin reaches for a small purse in his person, the 1,000 coins already calculated for him. He offers it to one of the servers and instructs them to take it to Mae. He watches the exchange to catch Mae's attention when it is brought to her, giving her a nod from afar.
"I'm good here, Acacia! Got my peanuts and a great view and I'm nowhere *near* the dart board." Magpie calls over the noise of the room. "Plus! One of my *best friends* is sitting right here." He gestures to the High Lord of Thrax.
Felicia picks up 1000.0 silver from a chocolate brown belt with burnished gold filigree endcaps.
"You want to try your hand at the darts?" Echo cants her head to the dartboard. "I'll try out the drinking contest! That way you can carry me home when I get drunk." Echo shares a lopsided smile with Agatha. "That said, feel free to try out both."
Eleanor arrives with only a mid-level spring in her step, but with maximum cheerfulness. She makes her way through the crowd to the bar to beam RIGHT IN Magpie's face. "Hi Magpie! Look!" She spreads her arms to the side and does a little twirl. "All better!" She turns to blow a kiss in Mae's direction.
Ducking off and then rapidly returning, Arik makes his way towards Mae. "Is right amount, yes?" There's a handing of a large pouch of silver coins towards the woman. "For throwing darts at people." Then, looking to Echo, he nods. "Is will also drink. Is separate competition?" he asks, his head tilting to one side.
Ian downs his glass of whiskey, waits until he catches Mae's eye, and shows her whatever denomination of coin passes for a thousand silver.
Arion is about to make his way over to Felicia and Brogan when Mae calls for those interested in darts. He looks thoughtful for a moment before calling out. "I'll join in!" A smile is given as he moves over towards the area with the dartboards set up.
Arik has joined the Window Table.
Drink ordered, Eilonwy looks around and marvels at the packed house. When her ale is set out she carries it back carefully to Derovai and sits with a wide eyed look. "Man, it's crazy in here!"
Eleanor has joined the Crow Bar.
"Not /at/ people!" Mae says, to Arik, her eyes going wide. She then laughs. "Separate," she says. Then she starts to collect money, and has Cheryl running around to grab it to. She stops to linger by Felicia for a long moment, then squeezes the woman's hand, whispers to her, and continues around. Her next stop is to Eleanor, who gets a cheek kiss. And then Magpie, who she'll kiss on the LIPS. Gross. Then Mae turns to start drawing the brackets up on the chalk board.
Waldemai moves over to the trowing line along with the other darters. "You're all fairly safe," he tells the crowd. "I'm saving my drinking 'til later."
Agatha shakes her head no at Echo, a big goofy grin showing. "It will be a fun challenge. They are so LITTLE, the darts! Then you drink. Clearly - mission to carry all you and your sisters home! I will help coach you in the drinking. You have to defend our honor against him," she says as she points to Jeffeth. THen ambles towards the dartboard.
With mug of ale in one hand and her back leaning against the bar, Genevieve lifts a hand in greeting to Arik before taking a glug of her drink.
"Oh suuuure. I leave town for a bit and I'm throw aside. That's cold, Birdie. So very cold. I may cry," Acacia teases with a brazen wink Victus' way. "Fine. I just won't love you any more," she sighs with playful sorrow. "Cast aside. Look's like I'll have to find a new drinking partner." Taking up the bottle she pours herself a drink and turns to Luca with a smirk, "You... you don't look like you'd cast a poor sweet Lower's girl aside for a powerful Thrax Prince. Care to share a drink?"
As Eleanor comes by, Magpie grins widely, "You're looking waaaay better now. You looked awful last time I saw you. I didn't think you were gonna make it." He says, chuckling and leaning down to give the King's Own a kiss on the cheek too. Mae gets a longer kiss, then he just crosses his arms over his knees and relaxes. To Acacia he calls, "Just saving myself for the drinking contest! I wouldn't recommend anyone drink a drop, prior."
Echo's gaze follows Agatha's pointed finger to Jeffeth and she narrows her eyes at the knight. "I'll defend our honor!" The Redrain chevalier smacks Agatha's knee. "Go get 'em!" Arik's question has Echo lifting her brows in surprise. "Yeah, the drinking bit is a seperate competition, but --" She crooks a finger at Arik. "We're not throwing darts at people. Just at the dartboard."
Felicia makes her way back to her table, knowing she'll be called when it's her time to throw, for all that she reaches out and squeezes Arion's shoulder on her way back to her seat, to drop into it. She head Magpie's warning, but, well, whiskey. Apparently it's too much of a temptation, that first glass, for her to resist draining it,"All of us." she asserts for Brogan and the conversation interrupted,"Mother was a redhead, too. And father's mother, on that side."
Josephine puts her name in for darts and sits at the bar with her wine watching everything.
Orrin continues to sip from his mug, gauging the competition from afar. Looking from face to face, Orrin searches for a familiar one. Shifting his attention between the event and the door, as if waiting for someone.
Luca keeps drifting along, passing almost precariously close to part of the bar where Ian is seated, and he murmurs to the man, "Is there anywhere you aren't?" with a quick, sharp grin and a brisk pat on the shoulder. He only remains for long enough to hear a response, before wincing a little when Brogan shouts his name out. He adds, "I've been made." and then he's gone again, moving through the gathering, a side-step here, a weave there, until he's at the table where Brogan and several others are. When Acacia says something to him, he shifts a little, giving her a dark-eyed look, and tells the woman, "Are you talking about Vic? I don't know. Vic's got an awful nice cat. We'll see how the drink is." and then a rogue's grin grabs his lifts. He turns to the Northman at the table, "Brogan! Somehow I thought you might be here. After all, there was drinking in the name of the event." He offers an arm to the man, meant to clasp in what is becoming a familiar way.
"Echo!" Sabella says brightly, beaming at the other Princess, "Are you going to be throwing darts? I'm going to be! Well, I'm going to try. You should stand way, way behind me." When Luca comes in he gets a smile and a wave and then she looks to Orrin, "This was a great idea and I loved your dedication!"
"I don't go to a lot of dances," Ian tells Luca with a twist of dry humor, before Luca social butterfly's off again. He's ordered another glass of rum. And he's gonna have darts in his hands in a few minutes.
"I've no doubt." Brogan grins at Felicia as he moves his boot from her seat so she can sit back down. Then his attention is diverted to the Fox-Prince, standing to grip the mans forearm, "Aye, if there's drinkin' I think we're BOTH here..." clapping him on the shoulder as well. "Beautiful Ladies, and bottles of whiskey at this table. Don't think we could ask for more..." Although when he spots Echo, he says loud enough for her to hear, "As long as no one TIES US TOGETHER tonight." He nods at an empty chair, "Have a seat and a drink for a bit, my friend. Let's see how this Dart Throwin' goes."
Orrin flashes a smile to Sabella when she speaks to him, "Pardon?" He asks, filling himself in after the fact, "Oh." A chuckle leaves Orrin and he nods his head, "This is their place. I figure it is the least a noble family can do when invited. Plus, 100 silvers per head is a little price to pay. Real restitution is what we should be striving for."
Eleanor makes a face at Magpie, but it quickly shifts to a fond nose scrunch as she offers up her cheek. "Thanks, Creampuff, that's very touching." She finds an empty stool to claim and hops up to sit with her elbows on the bar behind her, and her feet dangling free. "Is Mayir okay? I should visit him and say things." Her blond head swivels to survey the crowd. "He's not here, is he?"
"Alright, everyone! Again, welcome! We are doing this to raise money for the SOUP KITCHEN! It's right next door, and... this is acutally our celebration of ONE YEAR open! Yay!" Mae calls out. "Now, I'll be gathering more money, forever, because we need ot keep the doors open. We have funding for one more year, AND enough to open a second soup kitchen. So let's keep the donations coming! No one should starve!" Mae pauses, then clears her throat. "Okay, our matches are... Jeffeth v Waldemai, Acacia vs Felicia, Wash v Sabella, Genevieve v Eleanor, Arion v Arik, Orrin v Derovai, Josephine v Victus, Ian v Agatha! First up, Jeffeth and Waldemai!"
Dressed in shades of blue and greens Malena makes her way into the Establishment. Her long hair has been braided and coiled around her head creating a crown of ebony. She moves quietly, her amber color eyes seem to take everything in. Her then begins to slowly make her way to the bar. There are a few drinks to be had.
Snorting out a laugh at Sabella's statement, Echo shakes her head. "No no, I'm going to sit out on the dart throwing for now. Me and Agatha-" She gestures to the woman beside her with an open palm "-Have decided to take turns." Why? Who knows. Flashing a warm smile and waving out to Brogan next, the knight-princess teased, equally loud in response, "You better be careful. I might actually end up doing that to both you and Luca!"
Raising his head, Arik says, "... mmm, is not mean at. Is mean with. As, hmm. Compete. Is misspoke." There's a shake of his head. "Is fine, though." He shakes his head, grunting for a long moment.
Waldemai nods to the bigger man. "How have you been? Been to Sip and Spar lately?" He grabs the darts and lets fly.
Jeffeth checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 62 higher.
Jeffeth checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 55 higher.
Wash looks surprised when his name is called. He holds up both hands. "Who paid for me to join this party?" He asks. "A thousand silver is more than I spend in a month."
"I absolutely agree!" Sabella beams at Orrin, "I've seen people--oh, it's starting! I'm sure we can discuss this another time. I'm Princess Sabella Grayson, I'll be the one losing here in a minute!" and then she's turning to pay attention so she knows what to throw at.
Felicia quirks her lips,"Hell, I don't even remember how I got home from the last one of these. But there was drunken singing, so I hope you guys know some good songs." she gives a tight grin before nodding Acacia's way,"Looks like they've planned a battle of the redheads, murder at the murder table tonight?" she chuckles wryly.

Sabella calls out, "WASH! COME ON! IT'S FUN!"
Wash doesn't object to throwing darts. He isn't drunk enough to impede his aim.
Luca laughs along with Brogan, cheerfully accepting the man's greetings and promises of whiskey and fine company, but something does earn a tilt of his head and a curious look, "Tie us together? Why would anyone tie us together?" he asks, a touch of something puzzled crossing his otherwise handsome features. He looks over his shoulder at Echo, lifting a brow, "What's all this about?!" he asks, but it doesn't actually seem to bother him. He finds a chair, somewhere between Brogan and Acacia no matter how the seating arrangement is worked out. That's just Velenosan magic is what that is. "Who is casting darts, tonight? Not me. I came to drink, not to rob the place."
Orrin bows respectfully to Sabella when the event starts, "Count Orrin Seliki, your highness." He introduces himself and turns his attention away to watch the game.
Waldemai lets out a breath. He threw respectably but Jeffeth...whoa. "You'd give the Princess her thousand silver's worth, that's for sure.
The curvy culler gives Felicia a bright grin, "Let's give them a show they won't forget then, aye?" Acacia winks back and raises her glass, large dark eyes turning to the current competitors with a little playful smirk.
Glancing about, Arik blinks from person to person. Seeing Agatha, he waves at her. And then waves towards Genevieve, just because. Everyone else gets a bit of a look as well. He's a look, look, lookey-loo.
The large knight lumbers up when he's called giving Felicia and Agatha a mock side eye that he can't hold and breaks into a goofy grin. He is then smiling brightly at Waldemai. "Best of luck my friend!" He is then throwing his darts fast and hard at the dart board. Double bullseye. Double bullseye. Bullseye. Jeffeth shrugs his large shoulders as he looks back, looking slightly embarrassed before looking to Waldemai with a bright smile. "Well fought!" Before he's slinking back to his table... rather quickly.
Luca has joined the Murder Table.
Mae watches the two come up, flashing big wide smiles. "Go, Jeffy, go!" ... No bias here! She then flashes wide eyes as Jeffeth scores well. "Wow, great job! Okay... Winner, Jeffeth! Next up, Acacia and Felicia! C'mon, darlings!"
Agatha slaps Echo on the back when she steps up to the plate on the defending family honor. Not TOO hard. Then she huhs. "So who /don't/ you know here? We should go up and introduce ourselves and make new ... well. Whatever they turn out to be. HAH!" So she puts her hands on Echo's shoulders so the little white haired one can pick out who they'll meet, at least until Aggie's turn is up. There may also be some pulling Arik into the let's harass strangers train.
Josephine puts her wine glass on the bar top and claps for Jeffeth then picks it back up again to keep watching.
Agatha has left the Crow Bar.
"We're up. After you, beautiful," Acacia says with a bow to Felicia.
The big man raises one hand over to his fan. Oh now there's two! Jeffeth grins broadly at Mae, and then smiles brightly at Josephine, giving a short bow of thanks.
Eilonwy's drinking and talking. She watches the dart throwers for a moment before responding, and looking away from the game for a moment.

Scamp the raccoon kit arrives, following Tallius.
A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Malena before departing.
Wash applauds Jeffeth's performance, because that's what an impressive performance deserves. "Can we just sit down and give him the prize now?" Then again, he raises his eyebrows at Acacia's result and shrugs. "Nevermind, I spoke too soon."
"You strike true" Josephine comments to Jeffeth, the much younger man. "I hope I do the same."
Arion smiles brightly and claps as Jeffeth wins his round. Then its Felicia's turn and he grins watching eagerly. "Come on Sister! You can do it!" He bites his lower lip his eyes gleaming softly with excitement.
Standing, Arik waves, moving to follow the brute squad that are the Redrain Princesses. He looks right. He looks left. He goes, "Where is go?" There's a lofting of brows. "Is see... uh, oh, Genevieve. Is be back." And with that, he walks towards the bar.
Arik has left the Window Table.
Arik has joined the Crow Bar.
Tallius drifts in, wearing his leathers but looking perhaps a bit scruffier than the shopkeeper usually looks. His eyes roam about, and he starts to head in towards the bar quietly. He wears his bow upon his back, unstrung along with a quiver full of arrows. Moving towards the bar he looks around, offering a few polite nods but mostly keeping to himself as he makes his way.
Felicia grins at Acacia briefly with a nod,"Very well then." but her darts, apparently, maybe her mind's distracted, who knows? They hit, but there's no question as to the winner, and she's quite content to beam at Acacia and reach to clap her on the arm before nodding back in the direction of the table,"Nicely done there." she offers with a laugh before upnodding Arion's way,"You'll have to save the family honor now!" she calls his way before going to resume her seat.
Echo was fortunate enough to have set her glass down because Agatha's definition of a 'not too hard' smack on the back was still probably enough to have Echo spilling her drink. "Geez Ags, you're really putting me on the spot here!" Minor complaint aside, Echo lifted to her feet and gathered her glass in both hands, glancing around the room. "Let's harass him." She ticked up her chin Arion's way. "Or maybe her?" Echo canted her head towards Josephine. "Everyone that I don't know is all spread out..." She glanced back over her shoulder to Agatha, looking at her expectantly.
Acacia give a warm smile to Felicia and offers her a hand. "Solid throws," she says, turning to smirk over Wash's way. "Too right, handsome. Let's not count those chickens too fast," she calls over pulling the darts from the board and handing them to Mae before heading back to the table.
Mae claps for both women. As Felicia throws, she turns to write the total on the chalk board. Then Acacia goes, and she does the same. "Winner, Acacia Culler!" Mae calls out. "Thank you, ladies. Next up, Wash and Sabella!" Mae calls out. "And yes, I'm not using titles, cause there's too /darn/ many of you all tonight!" Mae says, with a grin.

Genevieve stands up a bit straighter at Arik's approach, frowning to see if he's actually heading her way. Giving another brief wave with her free hand, she raises her voice a bit over the din of the crowd, "Hello?"
Derovai looks over from the darkened booth. "The least you could do is address me as Master Voss, Mae!" he calls out, eyes widening as that first dart flies from Sabella. He's well out of the way, but even so, he leans aside, motioning to Eilonwy that she too should do the same.

Sabella grins at Wash when their turn comes up. "It's for charity, so you can't be mad at me. I'm pretty sure that's a law." There's a quick look around, "No one tell me I'm wrong!" Then she takes her three darts and looks at the dartboard. She takes in a long breath, shifts her stance a little and raises her hand like she saw Lord Jeffeth do. Then she very, very carefully throws the dart! It clatters to the ground well before it hits. She blushes, then gears up to try again! This one hits! The side of a table right next to Luca's hand. "I AM SO SORRY!" She says and, then a little more anxiously, throws her third one. Which goes way, way, way to the left and bounces off Arik's THANKFULLY armored arm. "...I'm going to go sit back down and I think maybe everyone should keep sharp things away from me from now on."
Agatha shakes her head. "NOPE! You are a bear. Follow your first instinct.!" So she marches the entire Redrain train up towards Arion and booms, "HELLO LITTLE RED'S BROTHER!" Yup. That's how she's going to remember the boy with the booze drenched hair. "This is my cousin, Princess Echo Redrain! And Lord Arik Halfshav. They are going to be your new friends. Say interesting things to each other!"
Wash yelps when Sabella takes her first throw, not that he's in any danger, just because he instinctively shies away from anyone with such bad form. He squashes that instinct for the second throw, and barely winces at the third. "Okay. Um. Hold your hand like this... and release when you get to here." He encourages, showing a patience for teaching that is fairly well known by now. "Well, your third throw was better than your first." He says with a weak smile.
A messenger comes in for Malena. The message is read and then she slips out.
Wash absentmindedly throws his three darts in the general vicinity of the board. "Are you sure you didn't throw that badly on purpose?" He asks Sabella, following her back to the table. "Because you couldn't have had worse aim. Or better, if you were trying."
Mae is quick! Soon as she sees that first dart going off, she ducks. "Sabella! ... SAB-... Oh, geez!" Mae squeaks out, as darts go flying every which way. "Okay, gosh, stop!" Mae says. "What in-... how are you related to Reese-... Winner Wash!" Mae calls out, with a huff. "Genevieve with the unlucky name and the exceedingly amazing Eleanor are up next!"

"Go Princess Sab--" Agh! Jeffeth is springing onto his feet and leaping across the bar as Sabella's turbocannon starts firing rapidly. The big man is leaping across the room to throw his body in front of one of Sabella's flying darts. Hggh! Turns out wasn't super necessary so Jeffeth goes crawling quietly and more than a little embarrassed back to his table. Whoops.

Some of the antics of the patrons here catching her attention more than others. Slowly, she makes her way to a place to sit. As Eleanor goes to take her turn at the dart board, Magpie cheers loudly from where he's perched on the bar, "WOOO! GO SUNSHINE!! What a shot!!"
Arion goes wide eyed as Agatha marches people up towards him. He blinks in shock but bows low out of respect. "Hello again Your Highness." He says softly apparently resigning himself to simply being known as Felicia's little brother in this case. He smiles to Echo and Arik. "I am Arion Harrow. A pleasure to meet you both."
Tallius makes it to the bar, only to have the last seat snagged moments ahead of him, giving a small smirk. He reaches past and hands over a few coins, ordering a tankard and moving to find a wall to lean on and watch the contest go on, looking curious.
"Is need work on aim. Ask other Grayson Prince," Arik says, pointing at Luca. "Is known to be good warrior. Can teach you all skills you need." There's a bob of his head, before he looks towards Arion. "Is good to meet." And he claps the man stoutly on the shoulder. But not, you know... too stoutly.
Settling back in his table, the large man claps loudly for Eleanor with a big smile. "Well thrown!" Jeffeth bellows.
Nisaa has joined the Hearthside Table.
"I know one person who's not winning the rubicund!" Derovai exclaims, a little ruffled from Sabella's throws, as the pair at the darkened booth likely start to recover. "And one who might," he adds at Eleanor's last roll, putting his gloved fingers to his lips and letting out a sharp whistle of appreciation.
^throw, not roll.
Genevieve is some kind of crazy fool because she tips a bit of whiskey into her ale, violating the sacred rule of 'don't mix grape with grain'. She then hands the whiskey back, takes a swig of the ale, then plonks the mug back on the bar. She gives Arik a nod and a smile, then confidently moves over to the dart board.
Throws darts. Doesn't do great. Grumbles then, and heads back to the bar where she folds her arms, standing next to Arik.
With a nose wrinkle at Magpie and Victus, Eleanor hops off her seat and the bar and picks up her darts. "Aw. Thanks Mae," she says with a sunny beam. She frowns concentration at the board, tip of her tongue between her teeth, and throws all three darts in quick succession. "Thanks, Creampuff!" she shouts back, looking well pleased with the last throw.
"Go, girls, go!" Mae calls for the pair. She's soon totalling up scores. "Winner, Eleanor, with a round that almost caught Jeffeth's score! 164 to Jeffeth's 166," Mae says. "Next up, Arion and Arik!" Mae calls.
Arion still wobbles slightly under Arik's hand as he is clapped on the shoulder. He smiles shyly up at the much larger man. "I have a feeling you will win the round between us. Still its worth a try on my part I suppose." And then they are called up.

"I'm a bear!" Echo, well, mimics. So when Agatha starts yelling at the poor Harrow man, Echo sidles on up to his side and flashes him a bright smile. "Nice to meet you, Master Arion! So you're Dame Felicia's brother? Oh, you're up." She gives Arion a gentle nudge with her shoulder and steps to the side.
Agatha folds her arms in imitation of Genevieve's body language. No good reason. Just to be silly. She even nudges the Oathlander woman in an attempt to get her to grin. Thern Arion and Arik are up. "So! If Little Red's Little Brother wins, Echo is in charge of congratulating him. If Arik wins, then you are in charge," she tells Genevieve. Acacia leans back in her chair, crossing long lithe legs, large dark eyes dancing as she sips her drink and cheers enthusiastically for the contestants.
Genevieve tries to stay serious, but can't help grin a a bit as Agatha pokes her. That's the Bear for you.
Felicia twists about in her chair to see the sea of Redrain's descend on her brother. It merits a tight kind of smile, for all that she's not trying to get all up in his groove by staying where she is.
Grabbing a dart, Arik looks at the targets. With a shrug, he throws one, almost indifferently. Then one more. Then, yep, you guessed it. One more. "Is good." There is a grin for Arion, as he watches board. "Is fine. Come, drink whiskey with us. Is fiiiiine." Then, he nods, grunting a little. "Is need more drink, though. Must, uh, how one say? Pre-game. Is term heard."
Mood improved a bit by Agatha's teasing and Arik's hair-ruffling, Genevieve actually straight-up smiles at Eleanor. "Thanks. I'm Genevieve."
Arion picks up his first dart and eyes the board warily. Finally he just tosses it, letting it fly. Surpringly it hits the board! He grins but the celebration comes too soon. The next one clatters to the floor at the base of the board but he manages to make the third one hit as well. Relaxing he smiles to Arik and bows his head. "That did not go nearly as bad as I thought it would! Sure, lets go a have a drink."
Two more people coming up to throw, and again Mae's ducking as one goes wide. She considers a long moment, then flicks up the hood of her cloak. That'll stop darts, right? "Geez, okay, so-... Winner, Arik. Doing his best impression of I don't know what, apparently!" Mae says, as she eyes the Halfshav Lord. She clears her throat, then taps the board. "You did pretty good, honest." She shifted on her heel and tapped at Agatha's shoulder before rising to the balls of her feet to whisper into the woman's ear.
Orrin gulps down the last of his mug and pushes himself from the column, leaving the cup behind for the server. Approaching the dart, Orrin steps back to watch Derovai throw, groaning when the other man best him. He takes his spot and tries to keep up, coming up short.
"/Voss/," Derovai remarks to Mae, offering her a sweet smile for the mispronunciation. "Doss is what I give you for the room. Keep working; you'll get there." Speaking of which, for a man who, the last time, only managed to hit the board two times out of three, and none of the throws too great at that, he's clearly been improving. All three hit, and one even makes a bullseye. He doesn't gloat, just shrugs, his gaze drifting through the crowd for a moment until he finds the Murder Table. He offers a little salute that way, and then moves to reseat himself. "Sorry, Your Lordship," he calls over to Orrin, shrugging.
Sabella has left the Window Table.
Agatha perks up a bit as she hears Arik say whiskey. "Be a friend and get me some of that, will you? I think I forgot to start." Then she's waving at Eleanor since Genevieve is greeting her. Nods to whatever Echo says, and then laughs a big old belly laugh. "Bears don't need to ask. Just say hi LOUDLY."
Graciously, Mae doesn't need to duck again! She just watches, with a winsome smile. And there goes the darts! She adds up quickly, then scribbles down the scores. "Derovai with 79 points, Orrin with 54. Winner, Master Derovai Boss!" Big smile! "Next up, Josephine and Victus!"
Orrin smirks to Derovai, "For what?" He smacks the knight on the shoulder and walks away to the bar to get a refill.

Clapping for Dero, Eilonwy smiles at him. "I thought you were just a paper pusher." She accuses and picks her drink back up to sip on as she watches the next pair.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world," Acacia nods to Felicia with a big bold grin. "Just warming up," she says lifting her drink to the fellow scarlet haired woman. The redhead turns back to the competition and smiles a little more. "Gods, talented group tonight. I may need to get serious," she laughs showing no sign of doing so.
Wash is overheard praising Sabella for: Entertaining and thoughtful. She is the hero we don't deserve.
Genevieve belatedly waves to Echo with a bright smile and a nod of greeting, having obviously not had the chance to do so before. She moves and leans in closer however, frowning curiously, so that she can whisper in her ear.
Derovai does like being called a boss, though. He offers Mae a gloved thumbs-up. "I was worse last time," he calls to Orrin as he reseats himself, laughing brightly at Eilonwy's words. "You should have thrown against me then. I don't remember who threw against me that time." And then he's chatting with Eilonwy again.

Her turn. Josephine slips off that stool at the bar and puts that wine glass down and adjusts the sleeves of her dress. "High Lord" She has been listening. She picks up her trio of darts and holds then in her hand. Rolls them between her fingers. The little dot sized burn scars on her hands not bothering her a little as she steps up. Then just like that, she's throwing them. One. Two. Three. Thwap! They all sink into the board and while none strike the center, they're very close. Her throws done, Josephine steps to the side to let the Thrax throw.
Taking Agatha's words to heart, Echo weaved her way through the crowd, eventually making her way to Eleanor's side. She paused a second, gathering up a breath and her courage all in one go, before booming out with a, "HI!" The bear-in-training had a slight curl to her lips and seemed rather proud of herself before blinking and leaning in to the voice whispered in her ear. She shifted, whispering back to Genevieve before directing her full attention back to Eleanor. "You look a lot better now! You're even doing tremendously well at this whole darts thing. I'll try to keep quiet about it so that Lord Commander Leona doesn't get word of it."
Victus stands up when he's up to the plate. It's only now he's also realizing - he was gonna have to throw with his non-dominant hand, his other arm having been proper fucked by shards of something during the last battle. Something he acknowledges with a blunt "Aw fuckin' tits." vocalized as he comes up after Josephine's impressive showing. He draws in a breath, holding the dart a bit awkwardly as he opts to give it his best go anyhow. Thunk, thop, plonk. It's a close match, but ultimately he is bested! "Shiiiiit." He reaches aside to shake the older woman's hand if she would so desire, otherwise he's back to the bar to give Magpie a DIFFICULT TIME.
Mae watches, and her eyes go big and wide. "Oh, goodness..." she whispers, as she quickly tallies the scores. "That's 94 for Josephine and 91 for Victus!" she calls out. "Prince Victus, out in the first round! You're too sober, your grace," Mae guesses. "Our last pair of the first round, Ian and Agatha! Agatha, please don't yell at my darts they're sensitive."

Ian rises and makes his way over to the dart board, cane in hand. He shifts his weight a little bit, trying to find an even keel on legs that aren't entirely cooperative, before deciding good enough and fixing that intense gaze on the dart board. Once he starts throwing, he launches the darts in quick succession with beautiful form, making a neat little grouping around the center of the dartboard.
Eleanor wrinkles up her nose at Magpie. "What? No. Just you have a boat, and I don't." She shakes her head at him, then points to Victus. "Not very nice of you to remind His Grace that you sunk his ship." WHA - She turns, and there is Echo. "Oh, hi!" She beams at the princess. "I am much better, thank you! Don't worry about it, though, The Lord Commander would probably be delighted to hear I did well."
Sabella has joined the Window Table.
Agatha ohs! Wait! She has a turn. Agatha waves at her various companions and trots hurriedly over to Mae and the darts, only to skid to a halt at the admonition. She nods SUPER solemnly and picks up the darts one at a time. Each gets a gentle caress and pat. Then they're all in her palm, she leans over and 'whispers' (Totally tries to whisper, but anyone nearby will hear, even in the bar) to them. "Hello, darts. I am Agatha Redrain. Your person said not to yell at you. Do not be afraid. I am just going to throw you at ... um. I am just going to help you fly very fast for a second. It will be very fun!" A final pat and then Aggie helps her new friends believe they can fly. Poor third one. When it doesn't land in the same spot as its brothers, she trots over to retrieve the darts and pat the straggler. "It's okay. You'll do better next time." Then she jogs over to return them to Mae. "Was that okay?"
Genevieve takes another swig of her unholy wine-ale-whiskey trifecta of libational doom, then plonks it back down on the bar again and looks up at Arik with a bright smile. A couple of little claps are given, then she gives him a double thumbs up. "Congratulations. That was some... good.. throwing."
Smooth, like.
Scamp the raccoon kit leaves, following Tallius.
"Ooooh, Lord Ian! Now you *have* to join the drinking contest later!" Magpie calls good-naturedly, then just shakes his head at Eleanor, "Sunshine.. you're killin' me. Killin' me!" He teases.
"Winner, Agatha!" Mae calls out. "Thank you, sweets!" she adds, with a grin. Mae then takes a moment to start drawing on the board again. "Alright, round two! We have... Jeffeth vs Acacia, Wash vs Eleanor, Arik vs Derovai, and Josephine vs Agatha!" There's a pause, then she waves. "Jeffeth and Acacia. Let's go. Feel like you two can settle some... old rivalry..."
"Is, yes," Arik says, clapping Genevieve on back, before looking towards Agatha -- the woman that simply murders the dartboard. He shrugs, swilling down a little more whiskey. Those eyes narrow, briefly, however.
Ian eyes Magpie. "I'm not going to throw any better drunk than I do sober." Either misunderstanding, or "misunderstanding". "Well thrown, Princess Agatha."
Acacia nods and rises again, giving Jeffeth's a little nod. "Care to go first. I like to see my death coming," she winks and grins.

Mae watches, breath properly abated. Her eyes go wide as Jeffeth throws. Then Acacia throws. "Eee!" squeaks out Mae. She points, she counts. "Jeffeth with 126 points... Acacia with 165!" Mae shouts.
Echo would never miss Agatha's performance either, so when the redhead starts consoling the third dart, Echo bursts into a laughing fit. "Oh, is /that/ your secret, Aggie?" The secret to winning this competition was duly noted with a firm nod of her head. "Sir Jeffeth must talk to them all the time." Another narrowing of her eyes at the large man... And then Acacia knocks it out of the park. Echo shrugs her shoulders to her ears and flashes another smile Eleanor's way. "I'm so glad you're feeling better~. Good luck on the next round, Ellie!"
Agatha peeks around to try and pick out Josephine when the next pairings are announced. She bows her head in greeting before holding a hand out to Ian. "And you. I think we might be in trouble against her, though!" That's said with a whistle of appreciation for Acacia's round.
Genevieve lets out an impressed breath at Acacia's throw.
His darts are thrown fast and hard once more. Double Bullseye. The next one, Jeffeth is kind of sidelong eyeing Acacia, and the dart is not so good. His final is a bullseyes but when Acacia throws the big man blinks. He bows slowly, summoning a broad smile back up for her before going back to sit down once more.
Nisaa watches Jeffeth rise to take his turn at darts. When Mae announces the total points, Nisaa gives a sympathetic pout to Jeffeth, but applauds for Acacia. "That was incredibly impressive!"
Ian takes Agatha's hand in a firm shake. "-You- might," he reminds her with a twist of humor. "Good luck."
Josephine catches the look from Agatha and lifts her wine glass toward the other woman.
Acacia focuses a little more this time, her honey-brown eyes flashing with a bit of fire. She lets out a little breath and good naturedly clasps Jeffeth's arm as he passes by. "You are a hell of a talent. I owe you a drink or two for being so damned fine, " she winks up at him as she gives Mae a smirk and blows her a kiss.
Adelais slips in through the door, taking a look at the humming, buzzing crowd. She's taken some time for herself and this certainly reminds her of some of her time with a free company. She elbows her way up toward the bar and settles in, taking a moment to gauge the mood and see who's sitting where.
"Acacia Culler, who is the most beautiful person in the room, and all of Arx, has won the round!" says Mae, as she makes a ridiculous display of 'catching' the kiss blown by Acacia and putting it in her pocket. She clears ther throat, then gestures to the board. "Next up we have Wash and Eleanor!" Mae declares.
Eleanor returns Echo's smile with her own bright grin. "Thank you. And thanks for coming to visit me, when I was in the House of Solace. It was nice to have visitors." She shrugs her shoulders at Magpie. "What?" she says, before hopping down to throw more darts
There's a brief bloom of crimson on Jeffeth's cheeks at Acacia's words, the big man able to stammer out rather quickly. "you to-too, of course." He manages to get out before joining Nisaa at the hearthside table once more.

Felicia tt :raises her own glass in a salute to Luca's,"A pact, huh? Mmm... you want me to remember how to get to the Grayson quarters from here? Or you think you'll be safe in a house full of my sisters?" she glances at Brogan musingly,"I wouldn't kick her highness out of bed for eating cookies. Admittedly."
"Fucking stiff competition tonight." Victus muses as he watches so many darts go flying, most on target. Thankfully there didn't seem to be any sudden onsets of another Sabella-esque disaster. "Kinda glad I got out early now, or else I might've knocked somebody's eye out. Shit that'd be real funny though..."
There is a brief pause as Arik considers whether or not to call for a Harlequin to deliver final rights for the board. His head tilts towards one side, before he shakes his head. "Is mighty fine throwing," he remarks, with a nod, his brows knitting towards. And then, he's looking towards the competition. A shrug follows. He glances towards Genevieve. "Is like lose. Normally use bigger weapon," he admits.
Again, Mae's counting as the darts fall. "Eleanor with... 100! And Wash... 92!"
Wash wanders over to the dartboard, throws three desultory tosses at the board and nods to Eleanor. "Well thrown." He doesn't seem too disappointed that her throws are better than his. He gestures for the bartender to send another pitcher of beer to his table.
"Hm." Eleanor gives the board a slight scowl, but she's all sunny smiles when she turns to Wash. "Thank you. You, too."
Sabella cheers for Wash regardless of the outcome! "Wash, Wash, he's our man, if he can't do it...uh. What was the other person's name aga--Eleanor can!"
Adelais watches the darts fly with an expression of keen interest. There's not much room at the bar, but she manages to squeeze through and snag a mug of beer for her to work on.
"Go Lord Wash!" Eilonwy cheers and looks to Derovai. "Totally pulling for you, one hundred percent." She adds with a cheeky grin before sipping her ale and talking more quietly.
"Good job Ellie!" Mae calls out. "Next up, Arik and Master Derovai Woss!"
Derovai slides out of his booth as Wash and Eleanor throw, sizing up Arik, rocking back on his heels to study the slightly taller man. "Ready? I'm not as good as this as I am at Fooslsbane, but it's worth a shot. Pun intended." He smiles quickly and moves to claim the darts. "I know you are, Eilonwy! There's a by in the drinking game resting on it for y -- not as good as the last one, Mae."
Echo has joined the Murder Table.

"That's Berovai with... 81! And Arik with 95!" calls out Mae. The scores are surely closer, this round!
There is nary a bullseyes from Arik, but, he does manage to lay a relatively even spread on the board. Nodding to Derovai, he flashes the man a grin and claps him on the back. "We both did good," he says, nodding to Derovai. "Would you share drink with me?" he asks of the man, one brow lofted, briefly.
Genevieve claps lightly at all the top-notch throws, then turns to her mug, picks it up and downs the rest of the evil beverage before she slides the empty vessel away. She quietly remarks, perhaps to herself more than anyone else, "Phew. That's enough of that," She then turns to Arik with a shrug mirroring his own. She nods, "I'm normally using a bow. Completely different. I thought it couldn't be much harder to throw a dart. Goes to show what I know."
After Arik throws his darts, she outright cheers and claps her hands together.
Wash nods to Eilonwy. "And a pitcher for her too. Whatever she likes. She saved my life back at Maelstrom." Wash says to the room at large before heading back to the table.
Derovai tosses the darts, one, two, three. Another bullseye. He seems pleased with his throws, studying that one bullseye for a moment, before grinning back towards the Murder Table again for whatever reason. At Wash's words to Eilonwy, he glances from Wash to Eilonwy for a moment, pensive, before looking back to Arik. "I will, if I..." He motions to the petite woman at his booth., before stepping over there, shrugging. He adds something briefly to the table, before he's up.
"Well there we have it. I can stop saying Derobai's name wrong for a bit! Arik wins the round! Next up, Josephine and Agatha!" Mae calls out.

a fire salamander arrives, following Laric.
Mae's eyes flick all over the board, counting quickly. Her lips move as she does the mental math. And then she clears her throat. "It's uh-... A tie? 151 a piece. That has... never happened before!" Mae calls out. "SO, uh-... Throw again!" she declares to the women.
Magpie throws Victus another smirk, then sings cheerfully, "We're sittin' at the bar watching them throw darts! We want to get to drinkin' and it's breakin' our hearts! This contest takes so looong, and we really don't care! Cause the tarp is on the floor for the booze beatdown over there!" He looks down at Eleanor from his perch, "And Sunshine wants a sailing trip from her favorite ship captain. She wants to bring a girl she liiiiikes and I guess that could happen! But where I draw line you better know, is that there won't be no turtles if Sunshine wants to goooo..."

Eilonwy blows Wash a kiss. "Aww, thanks my Lord. I remember you too." She looks from Derovai to Arik with a crooked smile and pats her friend. "Have fun with Lord Arik."
"For what it's worth, I'm still upset about the ship. Shit I'll always be upset about the ship. I lost my fucking pride and joy." Victus comments once he turns his attention back to those at the bar. "It went out all nice and fiery but still, ya' know? Still. Ship like that comes once in a lifetime. Hell my daughter is only getting BORN on that boat once in a lifetime..." Oh but Magpie's singing. That just earns the man a side-eye.
Two more darts, then mae's blinking. "Oh, geez," Mae says aloud. "Well... Agatha has the better dart! Winner, Agatha!" Mae declares.
Eleanor is DELIGHTED by the singing. Her hands clap together in front of her, and she's happily swaying along to the song. UNTIL. Her hands drop, and her brow furrows. "Heeeeeeey," she says. "That was almost a very good song," she tells him. "I wasn't going to bring them anyway, they're river turtles. The ocean is no place for a river turtle." CLEARLY.
Wash sits down, pours a beer. "I'll build you a better ship Victus. Bigger. Faster. With fore and aft high decks. It will be a fucking floating castle." He says, raising his beer. "You say the word."
She is up to the board again. Josephine going through the same process as she picks up the darts and rolls them in her fingers. No aiming, she lifts and throws, throws, throws. Two hit center and one close enough and when Agatha's strike near the same Josephine is smiling. A tie. The breaker dart doesn't beat Agatha and the jeweler bows to the Redrain Princess and moves back to the bar to finish her wine as she joins the eliminated horde.
Derovai smiles at Eilonwy, moving over towards Arik. "Just a drink. I don't want to leave the lady alone at the booth," he remarks easily. "Not Foolsbane, though. I've got to save my nerve for whatever garbage those two have cooked up for the drinking round."
Derovai has left the Darkened Booth.
"Yeah High Lord, I was there. I remember." Magpie says to Victus at that side-eye, sighing. "No one likes some music? Grumps. I'll stick to writing stories, then." He mutters, then gives Eleanor a smile. "Thank you, Sunshine."
Once more - the first two darts took to flight SO WELL! The third, though, still seems the most timid. So when Agatha picks that one for the telling toss after she ties with Josephine. Once more it gets a gentle petting as if it were a baby bird as she murmurs encouragements. "Be like your big brother and sister. It's okay. It doesn't hurt that much. Look! They still work!" Then she watches Josephine's shot and exclaims, "Well done!" Only to have hers land just one number up. At the end, she extends her hand before the jeweler gets to the bar. "Well thrown. You have quick fingers!"
"Alright, everyone! We're now in the /final four/! Our first round is one that tugs at my very heart... Acacia and Eleanor. Next up, not so very heart-tugging for me personally, Arik and Agatha!" Mae says, loudly, to rise about the noise. "So let's have Acacia and Eleanor!"
Adelais gives the competitors a smatter of polite applause.
"You can sing to me any time," Eleanor assures Magpie, reaching out to pat his arm fondly. "I'm sure your /best friend/ His Grace also enjoyed it, he was just moved beyond words." Right, Victus? Eleanor glances at the Thrax with bright eyes and a crooked smile. "Oh, that's me!" She hops off to go again.
Ian is on his third glass of rum, now, and watching the tail end of the tournament play itself out. When Wash makes his offer to Victus, Ian raises his eyebrows at the other Kennex.

Josephine stands again when Agatha offers her hand and shakes it. "I have nimble fingers. If you liked my dart throwing you will have to see the jewelry that I make. A good play Princess Agatha."
And... there Arik is, pouring himself some whiskey -- and then, he's handing some to Derovai as well, flashing a grin. "Is Lord Arik Halfshav. You are... Derovai, yes? Is pleasure to meet." And, there Derovai is. Drinking with the armored Halfshav Lord.
"Still not a lady!" Eilonwy calls after Derovai. That might be a familiar call, she used it often at Maelstrom too. Alone at the table she drinks her ale and watches the darts with her chin in her hand and blows out a breath.
Acacia grins and winks. Darts are thrown and Eleanor is the clear winner. The curvy redhead laughs and grins even more. "Well thrown, lass," she says brightly, offering Eleanor a hand to shake and a wink Mae's way.
Agatha touches a hand to her chest when Josephine speaks of her jewelry making. "I think the Guildmistress might pout at me if I started seeing other jewelers, but I will have to send my sister by to visit your shop. It is good to know you."
Mae clearly looks /troubled/. Who is she to root for? It all but pains the woman. But in the end, it's, "C'mon, 'Cacia!" she calls. Then the darts fall, and Mae's eyes go wide. "Wow, that's almost Reese scores!" she exclaims. "Eleanor, 189! Acacia, 129!"
Eleanor gives a firm nod, brightly pleased. "You too," she says cheerily, turning to Acacia and shaking the offered hand. "If Mae likes you, I like you too. You had some good shots tonight!"
"Prove it," Derovai calls over his shoulder to Eilonwy, before he looks back towards Arik, taking a judicious sip of that whiskey. "Derovai /Voss/," he stresses his last name pointedly. "V-o-s-s. Not whatever she said." He takes a sip of whiskey, jerking his chin at Mae. "We met before. At the Spirits. You were the one who wouldn't drink the Foolsbane. It's a pleasure to meet you too." A sip.
"Nice job, Dame Sunshine!" Magpie calls brightly, the cheering squad from the bar.
"Mae has excellent taste. I think I like you, too," Acacia grins back. "We'll have to have drinks I think. Come on over when you've won this contest."
"Next up, Arik and Agatha!" Mae calls, ignoring any idle commentary!
Jordan steps into the Murder of Crows, taking stock of the partygoers. He grins as he glances around, apparently enjoying the crowd, and naturally heads over to get the booze. "Guessing I came in late for the contest!" He calls out to... Mae, since she seems to be the announcer.
Oh no, it's the fuzz. While Laric has his voluminous, very red 'WARNING, INQUISITION' coat on -- he's not wearing his badge and there's not a flood of Confessors following him in. Apparently he's here for darts and drinks, go figure. He takes in the room with a faint smile, then passes off a small pouch to the salamander climbing out of his hood, murmuring a word to him. The creature hops off his shoulder and scurries over to wait by Mae's feet for her attention. Laric himself heads over to the table Luca and a few others are seated at, setting his hand on the back of his seat. "Do you mind if I join you all for a spell?"

Victus snorted. "You're gonna get me a bigger and better ship? Think ya' should save your charity for the folks that aren't too happy about the shark thing." He replies to Wash, but does give a quiet nod in gratitude. "Appreciate it though. I'll find something... Something soon. Something real big and with a whole lot of pointy shit on it..." He's already going a bit glazed-over in the eyes from thinking about it. So much so that he just gives another glance about Magpie's singing. "Eh? Oh, yeah. Sure. What she said."
Genevieve applauds enthusiastically for Acacia and Eleanor, her earlier sulk having been entirely forgotten. She actually looks so cheerful that anyone who knows her during the day might mistake her for a completely different person, given the fact that her default expression can veer dangerously close to that a woman who just smelled some shit.
Planchet the Lycene maggiordome have been dismissed.
Adelais keeps her eyes open, taking in all of the new faces (and one or two she recognizes), trying to keep them all straight. She might end up seeing them in more formal contexts. Or maybe she just enjoys keeping an eye on things. In any case, the taciturn woman keeps to herself for the moment, nursing a mug of beer from her spot next to the very crowded bar.
Eilonwy offers Derovai several very rude gestures from the table in answer to his challenge.
"Thanks Creampuff," Eleanor calls over her shoulder, still facing Acacia. "I don't know about that, but I'll definitely come over when we get to the drinking part of the evening." She's turning to head back to the bar when she spots Laric's entrance. "Sally!" Laric who. She waves after the salamander as he crosses to Mae, and retakes her place at the bar.
Derovai checked perception at difficulty 15, rolling 14 higher.
"What the fuck?! Is that Laric? That's Laric.. shit..." Magpie says perhaps a bit too loudly in the sudden brief dimming down of conversation as the inquisitor comes in. He watches the prince go to sit down and just shakes his head. "Well damn. That's new." Victus gets a baffled look as he whispers loudly, "Laric. Grayson."
Wash tosses back his beer. "I'm done here." He says abruptly. "I'll be on the Bounty."
Wash has left the Window Table.
"When I have a shop, I will be sure to look out for your sister." Josephine settles down on her stool again to watch.
Mae's distracted from dart watching. A little lizard approaches, and so Mae squats down to look at the thing, and smile. "Hey Sally. You need something? Want a front-row view?" she asks, and offers her hand out ot the salamandar. Then she's blinking. "Oh, goodness!" she says, aloud. "Why thank you," she says. Then she offers a hand out to the salamander, in case he does want to climb on. And then she's standing back up! To pay attention! "Oh, uh-... uh... Winner Agatha!" Mae declares. "The final will be Agatha and Eleanor!"
Ian finishes his drink. He gives Victus a long look, and then steps away from the bar. "I think I've had enough to tonight, Zoey. I'll be back at the Hart, if you want to stay."
For as drunk as he is, it can't be said that Luca doesn't stand up with some remnants of his grace still intact. He gestures to an open chair, "By all means! Steal a chair!" he tells Laric, before pausing. A grin crosses his lips, and he leans in a little to add, "Well, don't /steal/ one. That would be uncouth, wouldn't it?" and then he's down again, slinking into his own where people are talking back and forth at the table in various tones that would denote their levels of inebriation.
Ian has left the Crow Bar.
Zoey has left the Crow Bar.
Octavian, a silken spaniel, 3 Bisland pride guards leave, following Zoey.
Zoey leaves, following Ian.
There's a few throws taken from the Halfshav Lord, and he tries as he might, but, no, he is nowhere in Agatha's realm or caliber. Stepping back, he offers something of a smile for the woman, clapping her one the shoulder with a mailed hand. "Is well done." And then, he looks to Derovai, grinning, before walking back towards the bar.
Eleanor has barely sat down before she's being called again. "He's very nice," she tells Magpie as she walks back to gather her darts.

Agatha has no self preservation, cause she just keeps funning it up when the inquisition comes to town. She waves a farewell before getting up to throw again with Aric. She pfffts at that middle one. "You aren't even trying. You have to try to beat me!" She sticks her tongue out at him before the final throw. Poor third shy dart! She turns to look at Mae for the results and gets a goofy look of delight at the salamander. "CUTE! I ... I promise not to throw you. It is okay if you are biased in this one," she informs Mae. Then time to throw again!
Mateline slips quietly into the bustling tavern. She pauses, seeming surprised by the sudden noise and activity as she moves in from the rather quiet street. She stands there for a moment, trying to decipher just what's happening in the room.

Genevieve claps for Agatha and Arik, then gives the man a smile when he returns to the bar. "That was good too." She casts look back towards the red-haired woman then, full on fangirl mode activated. "But you know, it's /Agatha/."
"If you'd thrown like that in our round, I would have beaten you," Derovai tells Arik a bit dryly. But then there's Eilonwy in his peripheral vision, and he returns a similar gesture towards her, adding, "I've seen plenty of ladies make that gesture! Try harder," he tells her sunnily. "Or come over here and come talk with, ah, Lord Halfshav and me."
"Very nice? ... Ha! Haaaaa! ... Says the *knight*... Wait til he wants something from you." Magpie mutters, "I bet he won't even participate in the drinking contest." Then he watches Eleanor go her last round with the darts and gives a sad, "Awwww.. so close! And that's my cue to go get the booze and the prize for the drinking." He says, hopping down from the bar and disappearing into the back.
2 Redrain novice guards arrives, following Donella.
"Who?" Victus asks aside to Magpie, eventually following his gaze until it lands on the Inquisitor. "Oh, yeah. It is. So?" He places his chin in his palm though eventually, but whatever thought he was going onto next was sidetracked when Sabella came into the equation. He just fixed her with his own, stony look. "I'm aware. I'm the one that gave him the order." Is all he replies.
Eilonwy gets up with a sigh. "But Lord Arki doesn't like my hip ratio." She complains as she comes over and pulls out a chair with her ale in hand. "It's my greatest failure, being a slim woman." She offers a resigned sigh and presses the back of her wrist to her forehead.
Laric gives Luca a wry smile, taking a moment to order himself a glass of whiskey and settling in. "Wouldn't think of it. I'd hate for someone to call the guard," he says, before turning in his chair to look towards Magpie. He lifts a finger and taps it to his lips. Shhh! Then he taps it to his eye and gestures to Magpie -- I'm watching you. Then he winks, which may or may not be worrisome and turns back towards the table.
Sally the alliteration-happy salamander climbs up with Mae, hanging out on her shoulder and chirping back towards Eleanor. It manages to carry over the din of the room somehow.
Eilonwy has left the Darkened Booth.
Laric has joined the Murder Table.
Eleanor takes half a moment to scowl at her darts, before turning to find Agatha. "Congratulations! Very well done." But there's a salamander chirping at her, and with a smile she wanders toward Mae. "Hello, Sally!" She gives him a little fingertip wiggle of greeting. "I see you have good taste in companions." She leans in to give Mae a kiss on the cheek.
Arik looks towards Derovai. "Is true. But, didn't," he says, with a chuckle for Derovai. "So won." He shrugs against, before looking towards Genevieve. "Is true. Is magnificent," he says, with a grin for the woman. There's a look shot towards Eilonwy. "Is very smart and very talente and very pretty." There's a grin from the man. "And is scary too." He bobs his head in her direction. "Do not anger the healer, is all I say." And then, he is clapping for Agatha.
"That's 100 points for Eleanor... and 149 for Agatha!" Mae says, as she rises back up, as eight inch long lizard of orange and black climbs up her arm and onto her shoulder, and perches there. "Scourge is hiding, he doesn't do good in the crowds," Mae murmurs, to the lizard. "He can come out later," she assures. Then she's looking back over to the crowd. "Right, so... That's it! Agatha is our winner! Everyone give a round of applause!"
Eleanor is overheard praising Agatha.
Echo emits a low whistle and sets down her glass before bringing her hands together in applause. "How am I ever supposed to live up to that?" An over-exaggerated sigh escaped her lips before she caught sight of the salamander. "SALLY!" Flashing Laric a warm smile, the knight-princess lowered her head in a simple curtsy. "Hey you! Just in time for the drinking competition!"
Jordan glances over to Derovai. Recognizing the man, he approaches Voss, inclining his head to him before smiling over to Eilowny. "His loss, I guess," the knight intones, apparently butting in on the conversation just like that. "You got time, Master Voss?"
Adelais adds her applause. That /was/ some damn good dart-throwing.
Mateline nudges her way through the crowd, trying to reach Adelais. "Excuse me--pardon me--" It's so /packed/ in here!
3 Culler Hoodlums, 2 Culler Brute, Thomas Culler, Harriet Culler, Richard Culler arrive, following Torian.
Acacia gives a big smile and cheers as loud as anyone in the room, glass held aloft to the champion! "Well done, lass," she calls out with a cheer.
Sabella has left the Window Table.
"HAH says the night. HAH!" Agatha doesn't know what Magpie is talking about, but she helps him out with what the knight says. She gives the man a cheery grin before she takes up with the darts again. And rather attempts to impale the poor innocent dartboard with the first throw. Looks a little guilty about that shot in fact. The next two are more reasonable. At the end she turns towards Eleanor and extends a hand. "Good match! Want to split the prize? Seems fair with how -amazing- you were earlier, and with all parts of the city needing to recover right now, not any one faction."
Derovai raises his brows at Arik's words, looking back towards Eilonwy. "Really?" He looks her up and down. "I don't know. I've met some pretty scary people in my time, but I don't think I've angered them. And I've no plans to anger her. Have I -- " He doesn't quite get the second word out, turning at Jordan's approach, tilting his head. "Not really, but you're here anyway, so go ahead."
At a messenger, Arik sighs and then moves to the exit.
Arik has left the Crow Bar.
Donella kindof jostles her way in, in time to clap for Agatha's point total, and to whistle loudly in appreciation. She has to rest her arms on her belly, though, due to the crush. "That had better have been someone stealing my pocket money, and not someone groping my ass..." she says, very generally.
Magpie isn't gone long, but as he returns the man is carrying both something wrapped in a towel *and* a bottle that is a lovely teal-blue in color. The man heads over to the table on the tarp and climbs right up onto the surface, standing tall. "ALRIGHT!! DRINKING CONTEST. Mae will give the rules, but here's what we have. Tonight's specialty drink is a fantastically fresh, nose-clearing masterpiece. Marigold's Mint Madness!" He calls out, holding the bottle up for all to see. (look Magpie's mint)
"And the prize is something I think the Graysons might be interested in! Fuck, if you're not a Grayson you might want this just so you can sell it to one and make some nice coin. It's one of a very rare limited edition set of Gryphon Figurines! Made right next door at Highway Robbery." (look Magpie's gryphon) The man holds up the figurine he slaved to craft. "So! Come grab a seat at the drinking table if you're strong enough!"
"Someone did WHAT?!" Victus bellows from across the room when he hears Donella speak up. "Who? Where? WHERE?"
Victus wields Eye of the Maelstorm, an Alaricite Axe.
Mateline lets out a faint, embarrassed squeak from behind Donella. "I'm sorry--! I didn't meant to do anything on purpose, it's the crowd--!"
Magpie drops Marquessa Marigold's Mint Madness.
"ARMED MAN! ARMED MAN!" Jordan announces when Victus starts wielding an axe out of all things in the crowd. He leans in to murmur to Derovai, though.
Chuckling at Arik, Eilowny shakes her head and gives Derovai her most innocent expression. "I am perfectly harmless." She offers and looks up at Jordan with a shrug. "Who am I to say if it's his loss or no? I'm just a little healer girl." She drinks her ale and does her best to keep looking innocent.
Eleanor manages to teaaaar her attention away from Sally, in order to shake Agatha's hand. "It was a good match. You'll have to give me some tips some time. I've been trying to improve. You earned that fair and square, though it's kind of you to offer."
Ah. Adelais spots Mateline pushing through the crowd and she immediately detours, elbowing her way through the crush to get to her, stretching an arm out to create a little pocket for the shorter woman to slip into, "Mateline - didn't realize-" There's a shout from somewhere else in the room and she catches the flash of a weapon being wielded and she instantly turns, face settling into a grim expression, hand falling to the hilt of her sword.
"VICTUS THRAX!" Mae yells. "What are you doing?! Put that away!"
Acacia glances to those at her table. "In for penny, in for pound. I'm in, Birdie. Sign me up!" she calls over to Magpie. "If I can't toss darts maybe I can not toss my liquor," she laughs brightly rising from the table to join the contest.
"Prince Victus Thrax you put that away this instant there are too many people to be swinging swords about!" Sabella yells sharply around the same time as Mae.
Felicia whistles and hoots her congratulations for Agatha before there's a cry of weapons and the redhead's green eyes go Victus' way as soberly as she can manage.
"Little healer girls are a warrior's best friend," Jordan quips back at Eilowny. "Not that I'm much of a warrior, but I mean, I would probably smile at you instead of grimacing at you if your laid your hands on my wound, so that's something," he remarks, looking between Mateline and Adelais when weapons start getting drawn, "Might I suggest we all head over to the side."
"The last thing I think I'll be doing tonight is getting drunk," Laric laments to Echo, pausing to look over by Victus and shifting back a bit in his seat. He doesn't yell. Plenty enough already!
Sally chirps up several more times. Once to Echo, a cheerful greeting. Once to Mae, sad acknowledgement over his missing friend. Annnd then another hello to Eleanor, whom he hops on to after giving Mae a nose farewell.
Agatha gets distracted from meeting ELeanor by a CERTAIN batty man with an axe, and her cousin's wife being groped or something. "Um, are you sure? I ... I ..." Everyone else is dealing with Victus. She holds up a hand to ask for a moment before hurrying over to Donella's side. "I'll protect you, cous!"
"Everybody CALM DOWN!" Victus cries back, gesturing about with his hunk of deadly weapon. Which he was forced to awkwardly wield with one arm nonetheless. "You tell me who groped my cousin's ass and we all go home safe and sound! ALSO IT'S AN AXE, NOT A SWORD!"
"I WILL PICK UP THE DARTS AGAIN IF YOU DO NOT PUT THAT DOWN!" Sabella shouts back, pointing a finger at Victus.
Waldemai isn't drunk enough to starts singing, "It Wasn't Me," yet.
"Are you meaning to say that axes don't kill people as much as swords, Your Grace? Because I'll tell you a NICE STORY about that!" Jordan calls out, resignedly putting Derovai and Eilonwy behind him, almost protectively. What a nice knight.
Amidst quiet conversation at her table, the shouts of weapons and yelling about things brings Nisaa's wide-eyed attention to the bar, and to Victus. She watches, lifting a delicate hand to cover her mouth when she makes a small sound of surprise.
Torian strolls in laughing and cavorting with his usual herd of 'relatives' and then quickly they stop laughing because of all the shouting and they look around to figure out what is causing all the ruckus. When they figure it out they're laughing again, with Torian clapping a couple on the shoulder before pointing them all towards the bar. He starts to follow, but instead deviates towards the hearth.
"Oh look warrior new best friend, mad noble with a weapon." Eilonwy edges behind Jordan to use as a shield. She pats the man's back helpfully. "This is much more exciting than drinking at the Spirits." She asides to Derovai.
Derovai shakes his head at the murmur, not responding. "Don't know," he says briefly, beore looking back towards Eilonwy. "I don't know. I didn't see you throw darts. You could be the most expert dart-thrower in here and just trying to hide it from the rest of us, because you don't need that rubicund. Am I right?" He knows it's an unlikely guess, grinning at Eilonwy, although he does look briefly disappointed now that Arik has stepped aside.
Orrin stands up from the table and joins the drinking competition.
Sabella's threat had Echo sinking in her seat far more than Victus' threat. For whatever reason. Fortunately Sally was there to save the day and bring about another smile to her lips. She wiggled her fingers at the salamander before making a visible display of nudging Brogan's foot with her own. She's not so tall.
Donella ahhs appreciatively at Mateline and calls in the direction of her cousin Victus, "It's alright! No one fondled me! I think! I would be impressed if anyone could find it, under the circumstances, actually! But I'm touched. Just not THAT way."
Magpie takes in Victus's yelling, then looks over to Donella, then back to Victus. "It's the Murder..." He says as if that should explain things to a certain degree. "I mean.. by all means, get your vengeance High Lord... But.. " He shrugs and just drops into a chair, perhaps a little put out that there wasn't more excitement."
Mae eyes Victus for a long moment, then just rolls her eyes. Salamander boops help her let go. She then gestures for the staff to start moving, and they do. Drinks are poured. "Everyone who is drinking, come sit down and drink! And everyone stop touching Donella's butt!"
"I didn't mean to! It's the crowd!" Mateline would be flailing if she could. There's just too many people here and it's inevitable that you're going to be crushed up against someone now and again. Thankfully, Adelais is there and Mateline eases into the little pocket of space next to the taller woman, relieved. Donella gets an apologetic look. "...My apologies again."
Eleanor glances up at Victus as everyone yells, but doesn't seem particularly bothered. King's Own judgement, or something. Particularly not when there's a Sally around. "Hello," she tells him happily. "I almost won darts. I can't decide if I should drink. I /never/ win that." As she shares the fascinating stream of consciousness with the salamander, she wanders toward the table.
Orrin seats down at the drinking table.
Adelais scowls at Victus, "Put that thing away. Have you got goat dung between your ears?" She hasn't drawn steel. Yet. She's still keeping herself between Mateline and Victus, though.

Eilonwy looks around Jordan. "If that counts riding behind Princess Donella on a horse I am /so/ sorry." She looks at Derovai and snorts. "Please. I'm a nice safe medical expert. I don't throw darts, I'd hurt someone." She shakes her head and still decidedly uses Jordan as a Victus shield just to be safe.
Donella says, "No offense taken! I'm taking up rather more room ... Agatha! You can lay darts! Do you through OTHER sharp things for fun? You could teach me?"
Victus checked stamina at difficulty 10, rolling 16 higher.
Looks up from the obvious entertaining conversation he's having with Luca when he's nudged by Sabella, "eh? What? Did I miss somethin'?" Seems like the two have been having their own drinking competition at their table, and he's totally missed the start of the Murders! "Damnit! Felicia, you didn't tell me the competiion was starting..." then he points at her, "AND you left the table, does that mean you lose our bet here?"
The large form of Jeffeth Bayweather steps up beside Adelais briefly, putting one hand on her shoulder briefly. He goes to whisper in her ear softly. Before giving her a smile and going to his table to keep drinking!
Felicia has left the Murder Table.
Torian turns and deviates from his path to the fire long enough to swing by this drinking table. He takes a shot, makes a sour face, and thumps the glass back down upside down and goes back towards the fire. Is he playing? Does he just think drinks or free? He looks around the room a little and then starts pulling papers from his pockets. He shuffles them, organizes them, and then starts pitching them one after the other into the fire.
Genevieve coughs into the back of one fist, her cheeks turning a bright pink.
She throws darts and now that somber dressed woman is taking a seat to do some drinking. Josephine peers at the Mint Madness and considering, sips and then throws back the drink.
Waldemai looks at his glass dubiously. He sniffs it once, says, "Gah," holds his nose and tosses it back. He shudders. "Aargh," he says.
Derovai tilts his head at Eilonwy. "Drinking?" he wonders, moving for the closest place for the drinks. He takes a shot, and it goes down without even feeling the burn, setting the shotglass down, turned over, without even a shiver. "I like mint," he points out, "so far. It's not bad, Eilonwy. You should try it."
Felicia points a finger back at Brogan,"Not at all, I said in the drinking contest. Doesn't matter if I'm sitting at the table or not. Now you joining in? Cos this is some of the most god's-awful mint crap I've ever tasted, this thing could be used to sanitize a Lowers sewer."
Acacia checked composure at difficulty 10, rolling 4 higher.
Agatha lets her guard down a little when Donella seems fine. She looks at the woman that keeps apologizing and chuckles. "So many noble guards and such in here, probably hard to tell when you're getting too close," she advises Mateline, trying to diffuse a bit. Then she's huhing at Donella. "Well. I've got a good arm. Small weapons aren't my specialty, but I'll try. Did you need to learn how to throw vases or something?"
Orrin winces and unable to hold the drink, he spits it to the side.
Eleanor picks up her first shot. As promised, she makes her way to Acacia. "Acacia, right?" she asks. "Eleanor." She gestures to herself with her shot glass. "And this is Sally." She gestures to the salamander on her shoulder. "Sally, this is Acacia, she's friends with Mae." Introductions politely offered (manners transcend species), Eleanor tosses back her drink. She makes a lot of faces.
Brogan checked stamina at difficulty 10, rolling 9 higher.
"Nobody...?" Victus tilts his head to Donella. "Nobody? You're sure?" The answer takes him a little bit to digest. But eventually, he accepts it. "Fuckin' jeez, don't be so hard on yourself. Someone would be lucky to get that ass before I cut their hand off." He grumbled back in his own semi-defensive manner, returning to the bar now that the threat has passed. It was time for COMPETITION!
Magpie takes up the first round of the Mint Madness and throws them back, letting out a refreshing minty sigh after tossing them back. "Soooo fresh." Then a chill runs through him, "Woo! The kick. Gods, the kick." He looks up and down the table to his friends, "What do you think?? Yeah??? High Lord! Come drink!!"
"Mmm tastes good, right?!" Mae calls out, as she moves around, pouring drinks, watching. She spots Orrin spit. "Gasp! Count Orrin, out!" Mae points. "Okay, round two!"

Sally the salamander chirps a very solemn greeting to Acacia. He's a very polite and attentive amphibian, go figure. Then he slowly turns on Eleanor's shoulder and does a hop-'n'-scramble to perch atop her head for an optimal view of the drinking contest.
Orrin stands up mad, "It taste like shit!" and rage quits back to his table.
"Not a chance Dero, I learned from Foolsbane. I like living too much...and tasting my food. I feel like taste is important." She nods and watches Derovai drink. "I'll watch to make sure no one grabs your ass though."

Adelais pulls a face when she hears Jeffeth's words, but since the target of her ire has apparnetly decided to go back to alcohol, Adelais starts to settle herself, relaxing once again. "Bollocks to that...."
Jordan knocks back his drink when he's given one, and he turns to look at Eilowny and Derovai. "Well, now that that's done, I suppose I ought to go and drink some more, eh?"
Acacia checked stamina at difficulty 10, rolling 15 higher.

As the drinking competition starts up, Sabella shakes her head and gives Mae a wave, leaning in to say something to Niklas before heading out the door.
Mateline smiles at Adelais. "It's rather boistrous in here. I wasn't quite expecting it."
Waldemai tosses back the second shot without all the elaborate sniffing and face-making. "You know that crap the surgeon gives you to chew to stop your breath from stinking? That's what this tastes like."
"Fine!" and he stands a bit wobbily, looking to Luca, "Don't go anywhere..." and he heads over to the drinking table to try this minty madness. He sits between Felicia and Acacia with a grunt "Now, what the hell are we..." the fist then second drink goes down in quick succession since he was late, "Spirits!! It's so... minty..." His gaze going to Derovai, "What? Foolsbane? No, not tonight by the Spirits..."
Torian finishes pitching his papers into the fire, making his way back to the table with the contest. In another walk-by drinking he lifts a glass and drains it, or half drains it, before spitting it back into the glass and setting it down. "Shards, no wonder the drinks are free." He's walking to the bar then, were the not-mint is served.
Adelais leans down to murmur to Mateline, "Tell me about it. Would you prefer to leave?"
"You can grab if you want," Derovai quips to Eilonwy. "But you don't like city boys, so there we are." He downs the second shot without /quite/ as much verbe as the first one, grimacing a little as he upends the second shot. "Brogan, if you really want Foolsbane, I can ask your nephew to send us some. But it was Eilonwy's suggestion, not mine."
verve
Felicia makes it through the second shot, even if the faces she makes are decidedly of the eye-watering variety before she chokes it back,"Gods... I just... this would make a great palette cleanser for that Cupcake crap." she manages hoarsely,"I liked the last one better. Not that there's much of my Cinnamon Curse left at this point."
Mateline gives a half-hearted shrug, glancing around the crowded room. "...Perhaps? I wasn't expecting to walk into this."
Acacia takes the shot and shots it back with a toss of her head. Her jaw tightens and she looks at Magpie, "Dear gods, man! What in the abyss is this?" she laughs shaking her head. The smiling redhead looks up at Eleanor approaches and smiles all the more. "Very nice to meet you, Sally. You have a very lovely friend there," she grins to the amphibian giving a little laugh as it move to the top of Eleanor's head. "Best place to watch this from. This could get ugly," she winks back at pretty blonde.

Victus gets Murder of Crows throwing dart from A cheap wooden box.
Donella peeks from between her fingers. Dignity! Always dignity, amongst the Thrax kids. "Well, you don't need to make it a target!" she says, and places said ass on the nearest rickety stool unlikely to collapse and skewer Darren's wife and heir in one fell swoop. Speaking to Agatha, she says, "Lawn darts actually. With spears."
Genevieve knocks back her drink, her hair falling out of its bun, and half shouts, "WHAT IS THIS STUFF, ANYWAY?"
"I'm Sir Jordan Ober, by the way," the knight intones, offering a hand to Eilowny. He doesn't seem like a city dweller so much, what with the slight tan and the fact he has that charming peasant boy's smile. "Nice to meet you."
"Hoping to make a believer out of me Dero?" Eilonwy quips back. She tucksher hands in the folds of her skirt and studies him before shaking her head at Jordan. "This is how they get you." She tells the knight and waggles her brows at Derovai with an up and down look. "You are the one telling me to break away from my usual type after all."
Magpie just snickers, "You know how popular the Cupcake Craze was? It was our most popular drink!" He retorts, easily throwing back the next round as if he were quenching a thirst with water. "Sunshine, what do you think??"
Eleanor holds her head very steady as Sally clambers up, though undoubtedly doesn't need her assistance. "He is quite lovely," she agrees with a nod. "I always lose this part," she confides to Acacia with a grin. "But I usually like the weird drinks, so it works out." She's holding her second shot, which she takes, shivering. One hand goes up to hover by her head at the shiver. Don't fall, Sally! "How can something taste like cold?" she asks thoughtfully. Licking her lips, she continues, "How do you know Mae?"
"Fuck the cupcake craze!" Victus retorts with all the fire burning brightly in his voice. "My breath is MINTY FRESH WITH THIS SHIT!"
Eilonwy adds "Eilonwy, from the north." taking the offered hand with a firm shake and a smile at Jordan.
Felicia grins at Victus,"That stuff really was awful. I save it for people I really don't like." she chuckles,"This stuff, though... it might occupy the shelf next to it." she thumps her chest as if that's going to help the last shot settle, waiting for the next to be poured.
Niklas has left the Window Table.
Genevieve retorts right back, "YEAH!"
Spears? Donella is now speaking Agatha's language and it shows in that Big Giant Goofy Grin. "I Can Definitely Help You With That! I may not be a good teacher, but I am a good thower of big honking spears. We can begin working on it now if you like, but your balance will be, uh, a bit different than usual." Understatement abounds.
Mae laughs aloud at Torian. "It's a CONTEST!" she says. "Torian is out!" she declares. Then a look around the room, to see how everyone else is handling it. "Everyone's doing great!" Mae says, encouragingly. "And, uh-... I can't reveal our secret recipe, of course! ... So... Round THREE!" Mae declares. "Drink up!"
Acacia gives a wink Brogan's way and then turns back Eleanor. "MaeMae's my sweetest cousin," she beams with a proud smile Mae's way. "How do know my Mae?" she asks in return as they wait for the next round to begin.

Adelais also shrugs in reply to Mateline, "Some sort of contest, I suppose."
Josephine waits for that third pour. The jeweler looks at the glass and breaths deep before shaking her head. "I have dignity." She murmurs. "So much dignity." Her glass in abandoned and Josephine walks away from the drinking competition.
Jordan checked stamina at difficulty 20, rolling 6 lower.
Mateline gently gives Adelais a tug on the arm. "Let's step outside--a bitloud in here for me."
Eleanor picks up a third glass of minty mayhem, sniffs it, offers it up to Sally to sniff. "What do you think?" she asks the salamander. "I think two was enough, but I'll take your advice on the subject." Still holding her shot glass up over her head, she smiles at Acacia. "She's a friend, I guess. One of my best friends. Plus," she holds up a finger, this bit is important, "She recently saved my life."
Jordan does not do well with a third dose of that whiskey, so instead he... sets the glass somewhere and looks over to Eilowny. "From the north? Pleased to meet you, Mistress." He grins at her. "Master Voss here seems to be a very smart man, but you already know that. So what brings you to the Crownlands?"
"I don't ask anyone to believe in anything, Eilonwy. Up to you. Let me know what you think." Derovai leans back, watching the third round be poured, and then reaches out for the drink. It goes down with a bit more struggle this time, but he gets it down, slamming the shotglass down with a little relief, murmuring, "Mind over matter." Thus far, it seems, that's working out for him, if steadily declining.
Adelais nods and heads for the door, hovering protectively.
Magpie checked stamina at difficulty 30, rolling 5 higher.
Agatha gives her cousin a baleful look over Donella's shoulder. She saw that, Echo! "I would say a bear does not give up, Echo Redrain, but I think maybe you should give up!"
Magpie puts down more of the Mint Madness, but maybe the man should have had more to eat than just peanuts. It suddenly hits his stomach like a brick. He pushes to stand up, looking rather queasy. Then he reaches to set that gryphon figurine on the table in front of Mae and staggers in the direction of the door with one hand clapped over his mouth. Yes. YES. The man makes it outside.
Waldemai is starting to get sweaty around the scalp. He mops his face with his cloth cap. "That burns going down."
Sally seems to sniff delicately at the drink, then chirps. No translation is forthcoming for Eleanor.
Felicia sizes up the third shot. This is not like the last sort. The cinnamon stuff, it's mint, and quite likely, the redheaded knight will never want to smell mint again after this. Because she's looking at that shot like, for once in her life, she's debating whether or not she actually wants to drink. And then there's a look at Mae, and with all due deliberateness she throws it back and tries to swallow, gagging and curling her hands around the edge of the table as she forces herself to actually make it go /down/ not /up/ and half-sags where she is whilst trying to find the iwll to go on.
After his brave declaration, Victus takes his next drink. When it goes down, it's immediately coming right back up. He turns his head to the side and spews. Not vomit, but a a non-flaming breath of misty coolness that fires across the Murder like a wild hose. "WHO GRABBED MY COUSIN'S ASS?" He screams, mouth ablaze with freshness as he grabs his axe again. He doesn't manage to get it out of its sheathe before he collapses onto one knee and promptly falls onto his side on the floor. He begins to kick his legs, paddling across the wood floor in some odd land-swimming, on a hunt for a groper who does not exist.
The third drink doesn't go down so well and Acacia shakes her had, long agile fingers grasping the edge of the table as she steadies herself, "Nope... I can't. Anymore and we'll all regret it," she laughs. "You especially," she gives Brogan an elbow. "Gods, that is... nope, done" the curvy redhead waves off the next round. She blows a puff of air through her lips and smiles to Eleanor, "Not my night. Going to have to try my luck at some other contest," she grins and winks.
Genevieve is leant over the bar, forehead down, hair poking out from angles from her bun, rosy cheeked and happy looking.
Jeffeth sets down his next shot politely, sitting up straight and proper. He covers his mouth with a balled fist to cover a light burp. Before he reaches out for the next glass, more alkyhol pleeeeease.
Genevieve is overheard praising Victus for: Some funny shit right there.
Donella glances down at her faintly twitching middle, and says, "Point taken. But it wouldn't really be such a big spear. I'm only a beginner, afterall. I need... toughening. Some." She eyes Victus, and carefully examines on of the empty cups with a sniff, and raises an eyebrow at Mae and Magpie.
Brogan takes the third drink, the mintiness too much for him, and he shakes his head with the taste of it. He coughs a couple times, and says "Nope. Not happenin'" Standing up from the table, "Not havin' any more of that in my gut mixin' with the fine whiskey this place has..." which there appears to be a good bit of whiskey gone. "I'm gonna go clear my head..." He looks to Luca, "Keep the bottles comin' for me while I get my head all sort out." and he smiles down at Acacia as he stands, "Yep. Makes two of us..." and heads for the exit for a few minutes.
"I'd tell you my tribe name, but it doesn't much matter anymore Mister Ober." Eilonwy smiles up at Jordan. "I'm here because I Voice for the Blackwoods here. Manage their house here in the city. I'm a steward when I'm not going to battles and healing." She informs him and looks at Derovai. "Let you know what I think? About city boys or your backside?" she asks and tilts her head. "I'd say I'm neutral on both at the moment."
"Hm." Eleanor considers this amphibian input, and then carefully puts the glass aside without drinking. "It's never my night, for drinking," she tells Acacia with a nose-wrinkling grin. She turns, being suddenly covered in minty mist, but her only reaction is a heavy exhale. "Sorry, Sally," she offers, before turning back to Acacia.
Mae's still walking around - not drinking! - watching the contestants. Seeing who can't handle it. And she looks more than slightly surprised when there's so many turning away. Then Magpie gets up, and her eyes go wide. "Oh, geez..." she says to herself. "Guess we found the one..." she murmurs. Then she looks at who all is still at the table. Waldemai. Felicia. Mae grins. "Waldemai the Iron Stomach, Dame Felicia the Unrelenting, Lil Jeffy, Genevieve who I don't know, And Baster Verovai Doss! You lot are all that's left! Already!" Mae says, with a laugh. "Oh, geez, Vicky! Get... get off the floor!" Mae says, with a sigh. She drifts over to Donella, and wraps an arm around the woman, then kisses her cheek. Then she declares. "Round four!"
Niccolo has arrived just in time for a double-puke as Magpie shoves past him as he walks in, followed immediatly by projectile vomit from the Prince of Maelstrom. If he is having Instant Regret, he doesn’t show it. Instead he heads over to the bar and nods toward Victus. “I will have what he is not having.”
Brogan has left the Murder Table.

Orrin is overheard praising Jeffeth for: Gild favors the bold.
"Ah, well," Jordan grins at Eilowny, "I'd tell you my village's name but it doesn't matter anymore, either." There's a wink to the northerner, then, but he nods when she mentions being Voice for the Blackwoods. "That's a lofty job, you're a noble?" He asks, curiously.
Waldemai fights with the last shot. It's staying down...It's staying down...It's...not...staying.... "Yerk. Arrgh. Ack. Shorry," he slurs.
Magpie drops Golden-winged Gryphon Figurine.
Agatha watches Victus in horror before leaning over towards her cousin, "This... this won't happen to my cousin when the babies are born, will it?" She looks at Donella imploringly. Please don't tell her that Darren's going to turn into a wriggly octopus lookin guy. "Parenthood looks scary. Er. So good luck with that! And we can start on some basics at least." She frowns as she sees Echo at a table starting to get slumpy. "I should go check on our cousin, I think. Might move her to Brogan's table so he can keep an eye on her."
"Oh, spirits. No. I'm common as trees." Eilonwy smiles. "No, you don't have to hold a title to push papers for a House." She shakes her head and pushes her curls back from her face.
Derovai grins at Eilonwy's words. "Liar." And he reaches out a gloved hand for that fourth shot. This one, though, seems to be catching up to him, and he shudders, forces half of it down, mutters a curse, and pushes himself away. He does so, though, with a little reluctant sigh. "Sir Bayweather!" he calls to Jeffeth. "I'm not paying you any money for this. So you know."
Genevieve is giving Jeffeth some serious eye contact across the room. She flicks two fingers from her eyes to his, then back again. She looks a mess, she's wrecked, and if the bar wasn't there she'd probablt be on the floor.
Here comes round four, and Felicia picks it up, groaning at the mere sight of it, long before it passes her lips, and then she blanches. Nope. All the nope. The chair goes over as she rises and staggers back from the table, the smell of mint puke not helping her stomach in the slightest. Helllllls no. She can't stagger away from that table fast enough to go pour herself into a seat over at the murder table again, as far from the scene of carnage as she can get.
Felicia has joined the Murder Table.
If Jeffeth is really feeling this, he doesnt really show it. He just has a dumb smile plastered on his face. When Genevieve points at him and then back, the big man just waves with a toothy smile. Hiii. When Derovai yells at him the big man blinks over that way. "Okay my Lord." He pipes happily, looking back down for his next cup.
"Oh, good," Jordan grins at Eilonwy, "I was afraid I'd end up hitting my head into someone's back if I were to bow at you, in that case. Well, Eilonwy, if you're a paper pusher, then you must be a damn good one, to have gotten Voice." The knight smiles brightly at her. "No music here, is there? I'd ask you to dance if there was. Not that," he leans in to murmur, "I do it well or something. I don't think I do."
Orrin shouts, "A thousand coins on Sir Jeffeth!"
Eilonwy kicks at Derovai's ankle with a smile. "Am not. I am wholly neutral about your ass. I neither like nor dislike it at the moment. It crushes me to think you assume I dislike it on principle." She looks so crushed, truly. Laughing to Jordan, Eilonwy shakes her head. "I don't dance anyway. I'd trip over my own feet if I tried. But I appreciate the offer. If you men haven't pickled yourselves already I believe I was promised a pitcher of my choice."
"Gambling!" Mae shouts, echoing Orrin's shout. "Anyone taking that wager?!"
Donella receives her hug and trades a few quiet, uncomfortable words. But she smiles broadly for Agatha, opining, "Only if Their Graces Maelstrom and Sanctum make him drink that horrible maple stuff that make him pass out on his face." She sighs and says, "Ah, memories. Why ever did I leave the estate? I can't seem to recall. But this is very like a family dinner.."
Sure, the room may be full of flowers, but the time where it smells fresh has long ago passed. Nevertheless, Niccolo takes a whiskey from the bar while avoiding any fluids on the bar top, tarp, or otherwise, before moving to watch the drinking contest from the sidelines.
Felicia mumbles,"Mother have mercy." screw drinking right now, it's all about trying to scrape that mint from her mouth before she grabs for the whiskey, screw the glass, let's just go straight for the bottle, maybe the mint can be drowned out.
Waldemai can never resist a bet. "You are on. A thousand on the woman!" Jeffeth is a fine man, but a bet is a bet!
Genevieve is leant face down on the bar but lifts one arm in the air with a loud, "I GOT THIS!"
"You were promised a by in the drinking round, Eilonwy. Which you didn't take, because, once more, I had to do your drinking for you." That drink may be hitting Derovai a little, and he hasn't moved his ankle away in time, turning to glance up at Eilonwy from where he's drinking. "What about the rest of me? Ass aside. Though I believe I've been /called/ an ass by about half the people in this room at one point or another."
Jeffeth just smiles broadly. All teeth. Gleam.
Victus has taken to using his axe as an oar, using it to coordinate himself just enough that he can get by with just rowing himself across the ground. "God damn it all. Did I lose again?"
Out in the street, Magpie is just laying in the dirt like so much drunken roadblock. This was the one.
"Alright, ROUND -... what round is it? NEXT ROUND!" calls out Mae, loudly.
Genevieve checked stamina at difficulty 30, rolling 8 lower.
Jeffeth checked stamina at difficulty 30, rolling 17 lower.
Orrin curses!
Jeffeth checked stamina + survival at difficulty 50, rolling 1 higher.
Agatha slows down in her walk across the room as General Victus attemps to cross the Delaware with his axe. She has to ride the wake of that for a few steps before diverting and, well, stepping over his ankles eventually. "Big ship has right of way. I think. I do not know all your sea rules. Anyway." On she goes to prop up Echo!
Agatha has joined the Murder Table.
Nisaa bids farewell to those she was speaking with and quietly makes her way out of the Murder of Crows.
Nisaa has left the Hearthside Table.
Setting his glass down, Jeffeth gives Genevieve a bright smile as he stands up. The large man gives the entire room a bright gleaming smile as he politely makes his way to the door. Excuse me. Excuse me. He turns, smiling once more to everyone. Steps out the door.
BBBBWWWWWUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHH
A thunderous roar can be heard from the direction Jeffeth went. Sorry Magpie.
Waldemai is surprised to get a small pouch full of silver, but as any had core gambler, he's delighted. He holds it up and calls, "A round of ale for everyone!" Considering the depth of barf following the contest, this was probably not his smartest idea.
Carmichael Ulbran, 3 Ulbran Thugs arrive, following Theodoric.
Putting a hand on Derovai's shoulder, Eilonwy nods somberly. "You are the truest of stunt livers." She assures him and chuckles at the question. "The rest of you? Your tongue's too sharp by half-I hope you aren't putting it in women like that-but your wit's most amusing when you chose to be." She pats his shoulder lightly.
Magpie checked dexterity + dodge at difficulty 99, rolling 58 lower.
Pushing herself up from the bar with the daintiest dignity know to man, Genevieve pushes a few strands of hair back into the haystack mess that is left of her bun. Brushing a few specks of dirt from her tunic, she then walks towards the door. Walks. Walks. THEN RUN DASH STUMBLES OUT ONTO THE SIDE OF THE STREET.
BLEEEEEEEEERGH!
Jordan laughs at Eilonwy's commentary to Derovai, shaking his head. He glances over to Derovai, then. "Razortongue Voss," he goes on to quip at the man, with a lopsided smile/
.
Outside, Magpie is laying in the street and there's a moan as the man juuuust starts to push himself up. There's a puddle of minty soup next to him that's slowly soaking into the ground, but then Jeffeth is coming out. The man looks up just in time to get an arm up before he's showered in the minty barf. "AHHHH!!!" There's a very girly scream from the man. "The *FUCK*!?!"
Echo is just a litle bit drunk. She's managed to keep herself sitting upright by leaning into Luca's side, and Agatha's approach only has her lazily waving the other Redrain princess over. "Hey Ags! Did I do good?" Lifting her head for a quick look around the room, she decides, "Yeah. I did pretty good. And I still haven't given up, like you said!" She taps at her glass to demonstrate.
Mae is leaning against Donella some as she watches. And then she watches as the giant man goes off. Then Genevieve after. She blinks. Then, to Donella, she smiles, and kisses the woman's cheek. "Good night," she says. Then back over. "Okay, so... So Jeffeth spewed /first/!" Mae says. "I am declaring-..." And Magpie's shrieking. Mae snorts, then clears her throat. "Genevieve is our winner tonight!" she says. "And you /all/ get to take home your own bottle of mint madness!"
"Does this mean we're tied?" Derovai notes a bit dully, watching Genevieve and Jeffeth go running. And hthen he looks back at Eilonwy. "I file it down every night I find a woman," he deadpans, his eyes glinting a bit, giving her a broad grin. "You know, this is a much better dissection than the one I attended by Marquessa Pravus. Even if it's beginning to stink much the same." He nods towards the vomitorium at the door.
2 Redrain novice guards leaves, following Donella.
Mae drops a totally unassuming cloth pouch.
Echo gets Marquessa Marigold's Mint Madness from a totally unassuming cloth pouch.
Derovai gets Marquessa Marigold's Mint Madness from a totally unassuming cloth pouch.
Orrin gets Marquessa Marigold's Mint Madness from a totally unassuming cloth pouch.
Eleanor gets Marquessa Marigold's Mint Madness from a totally unassuming cloth pouch.
Josephine gets Marquessa Marigold's Mint Madness from a totally unassuming cloth pouch.
Felicia gets Marquessa Marigold's Mint Madness from a totally unassuming cloth pouch.
Victus gets Marquessa Marigold's Mint Madness from a totally unassuming cloth pouch.
Genevieve wipes her mouth daintily with one hand as she limps back in from the street. Then she stands up with a triumphant raise of her arms. "I BEAT SIR JEFFETH!!"
Acacia gets Marquessa Marigold's Mint Madness from a totally unassuming cloth pouch.
"Thank you again, everyone! I will be sending out word on how to donate in other ways to the soup kitchen!" Mae calls. "I know it's annoying! But it's how I keep people from starving to death!" she calls over the noise.
Hmm.
"Sorry." Bllrgh. Blluuugh. Ahem. "Sorry Magpie."
Drunk Jeffeth slowly straightens up, wiping his mouth with the back of his wrist. Kind of just looking down at him, a guilty expression on his but also one that is just..well.. whatya gonna do. Starring down at him, he takes another wipe of his lips. "You should probably take a bath." The big man explains quietly, taking one step away from him. "I should probably go home."
Jeffeth gets Marquessa Marigold's Mint Madness from a totally unassuming cloth pouch.
Josephine has left the Crow Bar.
Felicia has left the Murder Table.
Victus grunts in Agatha's direction. "You are /NOT/ a bigger ship than me..." He grumbles as she crosses his claimed territory on this land-sea. But now there's a winner! He claps for them with one good hand, meaning he's essentially slapping his thigh in applause repeatedly.
Genevieve picks up Golden-winged Gryphon Figurine.
Genevieve runs back out toJjeffeth suddenly, nearly skidding on some o' that minty fresh puke. "SIR JEFFETH!"
"Nice to mee you, Acacia," Eleanor tells her with bright cheer. "I'll have to come around when it's quiet and tell you about how Mae saved me." She steps toward Mae. "Right, Mae?" She presses a kiss to her savior's cheek, and then circles around to Laric. "I kept Sally safe, except from alcohol spewed from High Lords," she tells the Inquisitor. Her eyes look up, though of course she can't see him. "Thank you for visiting, Sally. I think I'm going home, so unless you'd like to come see the big empty Acheron house, you'd be better off staying here."
"The smell is inspiring...a deep and burning need for fresh air, and I'm used to smelling some foul things as a healer." Eilonwy nods and looks from Jordan to Derovai. "Much as I would like to talk about tongue filing, I might go walking before my clothes catch that vomit smell."
Slowly, groggily looking up, Jeffeth just smiles broadly. "Hello." He says happily apparently forgetting the man covered in his mint puke at least for a moment.
Acacia rises from the table and smiles down at Eleanor. "It was so nice to meet you, love. Your a peach. I can see why my Mae likes ya," she nods warmly. Reaching out she takes up her whiskey to wash the awful mint taste from her lips. It appears that the whiskey does nothing to help the taste and she pulls a face. "I'd be happy to, Eleanor. Another time," she nods warmly.
Genevieve With a bright, wide smile, Geneveve offers up the figurine to the lofty knight. "You have it," she says quietly. "I don't need it. You can make better use of it than I can."
Derovai smiles quickly at Eilonwy. "I'll send you a message," he remarks, "and we'll see what we can arrange to finish the dissection. Glad you're feeling better," he remarks easily, if a bit pointedly, as if the current conversation was indeed, somehow, intended to help.
Torian seems to be done rinsing the mint out of his mouth with an actual drink, and he starts to wander and glad-hand a few people here and there. Random folk of the lowers wedged in among the rest of the crowd and that sort. He pauses near Jordan and looks the man over, "That's a lot of harness for a drink, I'm guessing you don't trust people at darts?"
Orrin stands up and to the side, deciding not to approach Mae to settle a debt until after she is done with the party. He continues to drink, sipping on the same cup for a while, to keep sharp through out the night.
Magpie drags himself to his feet and shakes off some of the wettest slop.. scowling at Jeffeth. "You're dead to me." He mutters, then moves to head back into the Murder. He tromps right across the room and disappears into the back, likely to try and get cleaned up. No one will see Magpie again for the rest of the night.
Mae looks up to Eleanor, blinking, then flashing a smile. "What? Right?" she asks, looking a little confused. Then she's looking around the room. "Oh, Laric! You're here, too? Thought Sally was just out for a stroll..." she says, with a smile. Mae considers a moment, then she's drifting over toward Felicia.
Felicia staggers over in Mae's direction. It's not exactly a straight path, too much listing to one side or the other, but still, there's a goal, even if her legs aren't necessarily being cooperative. Or that the redhead's not commonly known as a hugger, but seems to be intending to hug the other woman. If she can work out which one actually exists.
Theodoric enters from the soup kitchen, a look of amusement lighting up his rough face, he surveys the damage both to the people and the establishment and makes his way to the bar, avoiding whatever might be in his way.
"Goodbye Magpie." Jeffeth pipes happily to Magpie, stifling a burp with a balled fist over his mouth. He is then smiling back at Genevieve. "Hello." He repeats as if he had not already seen her.
Niccolo peels away from the wall and perhaps soon from the Murder itself. Such is the fate of those who show up late to a party. He seems to be watching a few of the partygoers but then is distracted by a messenger and steps back outside, ideally sidestepping the puke fight between Magpie and Jeffeth by a wide margin.
"Oh, shoot..." Echo shambles onto her feet as something comes to mind, using Agatha and Luca both to steady herself. "Mae!" She waved out to the woman. "Reese -- She had asked me if I could bring her a bottle." Her gaze dragged very slowly onto the totally unassuming cloth pouch. "Y'know. If -- If there were any leftover."
Magpie has left the Crow Bar.
Zavi leaves, following Magpie.
Genevieve pushes the figurine towards Jeffeth again. "Take it. Give it to orphans or something. What you like to do. I don't need a big wooden bird."
Mae catches Felicia, wrapping an arm around her and supporting here. "There we are," she says, with a grin. She turns, then, to Echo. "Uh?... Nnnoooo. Reese can talk to me if she wants one!" Mae says, as if the woman might be a little crazy. "Reese knows where I live. And there's no /extra/. The rest gets sold to pay for this whole thing!"
Taking the griffin, Jeffeth blinks down at it. "Oh hello." Jeffeth says to the figurine with a broad smile.
A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Eilonwy before departing.
Romina, a silent Mirrorguard agent, 1 Velenosa House Guards leave, following Niccolo.
Acacia is not unsteady on her feet, but she's not sober either. She rises from the table and slips across the room to give Mae a big hug. "Gonna find my way home once I make sure Brogan gets to his bed. I'll be less scarce now that I'm back," she smiles. "Good to see you, love. You look good." A big bright smile and wink is offered to Luca and another smile to Felicia and Echo and with that she heads out.
Felicia drapes herself on Mae to give her upper arms a squeeze and leans in, struggling to keep her balance as she whispers something to her her ferverently and then let's go, seemingly set to stagged off in the vague direction of the door if she can find it through the haze of minty freshness.
Genevieve claps a few times when Jeffeth takes the statue. She smiles happily for a while then, beaming radiantly... and then she bursts into tears.
"I was sick in public! Lord General Tobias is going to kill meeee!"
"Ah. You've done a great service to the realm, Dame Eleanor," Laric turns towards the blonde night, his words solemn. He half-rises and holds up a hand, then lets the little salamander step off (nay, STRUT) off her head and into his hand in regal fashion. "Enjoy the rest of your night."
"Trust people?" Jordan laughs at Torian. "Oh, no, I was just here from duty. But then the High Lord drew an axe and that went tits up. So I think it was the right choice to come here like this." He offers a hand to the man. "Sir Jordan Ober."
Acacia has left the Murder Table.
Looking down at the message brought to her, Eilonwy nods to Derovai. "It was much needed, thank you." She nods and starts to pick her way out mindful of drunken booty grabbers.
"Thank you," Eleanor says, giving Sally a little fingerwaggle wave goodbye. "You too." She probably means Laric, too. Even though she's looking at Sally. "Goodnight!" She slides her gaze towards Mae and approaches her again. "Goodnight, Mae." She gives her another cheek kiss, whispers something, and departs.
That settles that. Echo lifts her shoulders in a quick shrug before dropping back down into her seat. At least she tried! She snorts out a laugh at something whispered at her table to her and she slumps back down against whoever is closeby.
Derovai half-smiles at Eilonwy. "Told you," he remarks, leveraging himself up from the drinking table. He squares his shoulders, drawing a breath, and then turns to make his way towards the boarding hall, even if there's a slightly inebriated hitch in his step.
Agatha reaches up to help steady Echo on her way up to her feet. "Easy does it Bear cub. Remember! Lift with your knees if you're going to try to pick someone up for a hug," she encourages before focusing in on the conversations closer at hand.
Eleanor has left the Crow Bar.
2 King's Own Guardsmen leaves, following Eleanor.
Mae takes a hug from Acacia, squeezing wiht her other arm (the one not holding up Felicia). "Thanks for coming out, sweets. I love you," she says, to Acacia. Then there's whispers, from Felicia, and Mae's eyes go wide. "Wait- what? Wh-..." And she cuts herself off. Just as Eleanor is giving her a kiss. "Good-..." And more whispers. Mae's looking just so confused. "What-..." and so Mae just shakes her head. "Okay, let's get you sitting somewhere comfy," Mae says, to Felicia. "Echo, tell Reese to come see me!" Mae says. Then she's leading Felicia away.
Mae has joined the Darkened Booth.
Mae picks up a totally unassuming cloth pouch.
Taking the griffin, Jeffeth starts just wandering off. Through the sick puddle. "There, there. It's alright." He murmurs to Genevieve even as he walks away from her. Just a giant drunkard wandering off into the Lowers. Should be fine.
Genevieve stumbles away sniffling in the other direction. Hopefully it's the right one.
Genevieve has left the Crow Bar.
"Can I get three cheers for bree fooze?!" Jordan shouts out, loudly. Then he burps. Oh, gods, he's drunk.
Torian nods some and shakes Jordan's offreed hand, casual about it. "It happens." He says, grinning a little and pating the an on the shoulder. Or patting his armor really. He look aorudnd some, people starting to clear out now, "Looks like it's not free anymore..." He notes, ribbing the man a little. People always leave when it's not free anymore.
