Why are some people so stubborn, so blinded by anger that they can't see logic, can't be reasoned with and seem deluded by their own biased and warped conception of facts? At least this is one mess I don't have to sort out and thankfully leave it to others to figure out.

Winter means it's time to disappear into my work again. Like a form of hibernation only with more letters...
I fear that they will continue to go.unseen..

I visited the Duchy wearing my House's Colors. I do not normally do that, being ceremonial never concerned me. It did seem to make an impact though. It was interesting to watch.

Heading back to Saikland for a few weeks. My presence is required to prepare for some expeditions that I shall be going on soon to uncover the secrets of the Lyceum (a never ending task!). While there I also hope to teach at the Bard's College at the newly established branch in Saikland. It will be nice to see how the faculty is shaping up, and to scout out any potential artists who might one day come to the City to display their skills.

We took Atramentous to his favorite place and buried him. He was getting so old that his muzzle was mostly white. But he never let things stop him. He was my constant shadow in these last handful of years. I still remember when Seth gifted him to me. He was just a huge puppy and I loved him.

The winds find another and carry their song upon them, leading their joy and the love which they shared with so many to the farthest reaches to be allowed a breath upon another's lips and cheeks. Always to be missed, always to be seen within those that are here and available to dance, laugh, and enjoy in who they were.

It's difficult to have to let go of a dream. It happens to all of us, I'm told, but that doesn't make it any less difficult. Perhaps it is just part of growing up, but it still leaves a tinge of sadness and regret.

In this city, it is easy to give away one's body in sexual lust and passion. It is not a surprise that around any corner, willing encounters are only but an ask away. What is harder, is the heart. After so many years in trying to find someone compatible with me, I thought there was hope. However, it seems that more is appealing than the comfort of one. And so I am single, again. Or maybe I always was. Less is more, as they say. Less is more.
