Relationship Note on Kaldur
And another of us who shared prayers at Setarco in 1008 is gone. Kaldur showed such kindness toward a child and his pet cricket. It is the gentle smile and the reassuring hand he placed on the child's shoulder that make a warm memory. It was a jewel of a moment emeshed in the horror of war and an example of the things for which we fought.

Visitors came to Blackram and it was a very pleasant surprise. A cousin I haven't seen in a long time and her husband, reminding me that time is always moving whether we remember or not, a steady progression that is stopped by nothing. Another reminder is family, not only the return of a cousin butan addition as she came with her husband. A reminder that helps reinforce what I have been contemplating as of late, that family bonds are the most important bond that one can have, unbreakable if well forged, brittle and a great loss if left unattended.

Relationship Note on Rowenova
With my husband being gone (permanently? temporarily? who is to say?), I feel lucky to have such good friends. Miss Rowenova brought me the most delicious food today. We had a good talk. She is wise beyond her years; sometimes I do forget that Rowenova is very close to my age. The food was good, but her hugs were better. I'm lucky to have someone I can share my secrets with and they will be kept without judgment; frankly, I am lucky to have a few friends like that. Thank you all.

Relationship Note on Ravna
He is my brother. Well, not a real brother, but brother enough. We just happened to be watched after and 'raised' by the same Culler. We were both adopted. He's a bit crazy at times, but the one thing about Ravna is he is really good at making me change my perspective on things. I tend to be dark and forlorn, but not him. He is full of life and childish joy. I envy him.

Lady Eshra was kind enough to send bells and cookies for Lord Eadric and Lady Annalise. They were both fueled by the sugar for many hours. However the bells secured to their persons made it very difficult for Lord Eadric to escape. He insists he's going to sail to the whirlpool in the harbor. Doesn't he knows he's a Laurent? Taking too much after Lord Flavien these days with all the ships.
I suppose he'll learn how to undo the strings eventually...

We received news of two more fallen villages this week. The Arvani people are strong; misfortune and adversity are familiar obstacles. But eradication? Whether by man's doing or animal, I cannot conceive of a village - bustling with the day-to-day activities of life - gone silent.

No. I mean I have been reflecting on the friendships and people I have met in the city. I have penpals and friends and people I've only just met. Some who keep themselves heavily guards and others who wear their hearts on their sleeves. Some who write to me about philosophy and love, others about naming animals. I love them all so much scholar. They have made such a wonderful and lush tapestry for me and I want to thank them all for befriending me.

Princess Rawen Redrain has proved to be a truly interesting women as of yet.
Colourfully dressed and with striking mismatched eyes, she is not to be readily forgotten by any stretch of the imagination. Kedehern and I had a lovely dinner with Amari, it was great getting to spend time with her, just enjoying some good food, and company. Having a chance to reconnect some and just talk about things going on with all of us. And about the baby, and asking Amari if she would be the Witness for our baby. I'm so overjoyed that she agreed.
