Haven't written to you in a while, journal. I've been busy. Imagine that!
Everyone in the city is fighting, as usual. I'm just going to tell you about my week.
I got some bad news about my father. That was shitty and maybe after I'm dead and my BJs are intermingled with the Whites, that will make more sense. I'm sure it will.
However, even though I had that bad news, I'm okay. I mean, sure, I wanted to hug a pillow and cry in a corner but I needed to man up because there are people counting on me. That's right, because Magpie Fucking Grayhope is the Deputy Minister of Refugee and Prodigal Affairs!
So if any refugees or prodigals are reading this? The DMoRPA's got your back, you just send Magpie a message and he'll make things right.
I also made some new friends and they're pretty amazing, I'm not gonna lie. I can't tell you who they are, Whitey, but they're great. (Again, one of those things that'll will all fall together after I'm dead, but for the love of the gods, please don't use that as an excuse to kill me, I'm having an up week. At least wait til my next down week.)
And for my last parting vagueness, if you break into someone's private property and take up resident in their room, and then they get predictably ANGRY at you? That's not a temper tantrum. That's called being angry because you BROKE INTO THEIR CABIN. Be glad you weren't thrown in the harbor. I hear there are sharks. My new prodigal friend mentioned them.

Her next edition will hopefully go into further details about more advanced topics. Such as, how it may not be the best of ideas to advertise to the Master of Questions your expertise in starting fires.

With all of these proclamations about Thralldom that I've been hearing left and right, I can't help but wonder why the obvious answer can't be seen. Simply put a punishment for a crime is handled best by the sentence of a period of time of hard labor, and should their crimes be too great, execution. The idea of thralldom is to take those captured in war, or criminals, and to force them to pay out their debts to society by doing hard...
