I want to thank those who have gone on the two recent missions into the Gray forest despite the danger, including:
Prince Mason, Princess Lou, Master Sergei, Master Agnarr, Mistress Shard, Master Cauladrin, Lady Joslyn, Count Thesarin, Dame Esoka, Master Merek, Lady Isabetta, Prince Luca, Lady Fiora and Dame Alexis.
Prince Mason and Count Thesarin lead missions and I hear they have done a great job.
Prince Mason, Princess Lou, Master Sergei, Count Thesarin, Master Merek and Dame Alexis were injured. I wish them all a speedy and easy recovery.

It feels good to lose.
You spend so much fucking time cooped up, surrounded by paperwork and blabbering mouths when you've got a heaping load of responsibility. Feels less like you're a person living and just a person doing. Getting beat in competition is a good reminder that there's still a bit of life left to live before you turn yourself in to the wheel. Or Gods forbid, more silky sheets.
Of course with that said, Audric and Magpie are probably not human. Just a head's up for any of you investigative types that wanna go sniffing around like you do.

Lady Joslyn. It is still odd to think of her so when I remember her as an awkward commoner in my days before leaving Tor. I'm glad that we've had the chance to get reacquainted in Arx and finding that she's no longer as awkward as she was a decade ago. I've had few patrons in Arx as charming as she has been, nor found the theater as entertaining than when in her company.

Relationship Note on Agnarr
I have had some enjoyable evenings this week, and at least one moment of intense pain. Heady with my recent victories in the North, I have, perhaps, forgotten just how strong an opponent that Agnarr can be. I did well in keeping my distance or shoving his massive blade to the side for a time, but in the end it took only one hit to send me gasping for breath.
Dear, sweet Agnarr, this is not the way I wish my breath stolen.
In related news I have had new armor commissioned. Or at least some leather clothing that might relieve some of the sting if I decide to spar in it.

Not an experience that I would have expected to have. But all the same it came with answers. That said perhaps then I took too much on my own shoulders for that fight. I did have my reasons. I am glad we are successful, and to all that were there, I give my thanks, and respect, and honor them. If Gloria was watching, each person in that battle did their part to honor her.

I've described my fighting style as "No, you move" to a few people. It helps set the tone - the valiant Oathlands knight standing before her foe, protecting the innocent, refusing to yield.
It's a little hard to do when you're facing stupidly sized opponents who can pick you up and fling you off into the distance. But at least the tactic still seems to work somewhat, in that, as long as they're flinging me away, they're not hurting anyone else. And I can go many many rounds of being flung.
Merek Black, Dame Esoka Greenblood, Lady Isabetta and Lady Fiora, Count Thesarin and Prince Luca - they all fought exceedingly well today. Did their part in standing between malice and innocence. I'm proud of them.
