Relationship Note on Eleanor
I met Eleanor recently.
She's done so well for herself. One of the Hundred, the King's Own - father had written to say she'd become a Knight, but I had no idea just how far she'd come. I was so pleased for her - and I'm thrilled that we'll be sailing together and working together on our projects

The city of Arx is truly such a wonder. Every corner I turn, I discover something new and charming. Even the dullest rock can be wonderful if you just look at it the right way. While it is autumn, it still feels quite warm to me. I imagine gossiping by a hearth here is going to take a bit of getting used to. They say the blood thins quickly here, and with winter not so far off, at least I've come at a good time to allow that process to start.
At the very least, I've an excuse to visit some shops and purchase more suitable attire once finances are settled. I can only imagine what wonders those will all have in store!

Relationship Note on Joslyn
To accept the oaths of Knighthood in the sight of Gloria, is to break the shackles of selfishness. To devote yourself to the duchy and to champion her ideals and proudly protect her defenseless is to do a fine thing.
Lady Joslyn Stonewood was born in Tor, the city of roses. A city much like Pridehall, known for it’s military might. It was there that young Joslyn was taught to fight by her mother, Chiara Manicelli. When Joslyn struck out on her own and arrived in Arx, she did not shrink back from the chance to use her mother-given abilities in the fight against the Bringers of Silence. When they attacked the city, she fought back. Since then, she has fought alongside great warriors of the Compact of the likes of our Princess-General Reese Grayson and the late Dame Zhayla of Old Oak. She helped hold the various points of defense during the great siege of Arx, the final battle against Brand.
After Lady Joslyn chose to join House Stonewood, she helped the house regain lost land, restore a lost county and raise the silver to support those campaigns. She has tirelessly fought for her liege and loyally sacrificed her own wellbeing on her behalf. She nearly died, in fact, during her service to the Crownlands.
She has proved to be a great friend and loyal servant to House Stonewood, House Bisland and House Grayson. I can think of no other person more worthy of the title of Knight of Pridehall.
Her oath as witnessed by an assembly of peers:

Relationship Note on Killian
Lord Killian was under my command the first time that I led men after arriving in Arx. It was when we fought the dire bears chasing an Abandoned tribe in the Gray Forest. Lord Killian wanted to set elaborate traps. I told him at the speed the bears were closing, we had to stand and fight.
At the time, I think Lord Killian thought me uninspired. But I know when the need is, Lord Killian will stand and fight.

The first part of my very large comission is done. Ish. It can be done better, and so it will. There are certain requirements to be met. And I'm still going to insist to take a lot of time when working with Rubicund, as redsteel can be unforgiving of mistakes.

I was invited to Lady Joslyn's knighting as a Knight of Bisland, and it was a very nice ceremony. I attended with Lady Viviana and sat with her and Princess Alis. Not quite as formal as an Oathlands ceremony, I think, but that's not necessarily a bad thing - and, as was pointed out at the time - what -is- as formal as an Oathlands ceremony?
It was a celebration. One sorely needed within all this mourning.

I didn't know Dame Zhayla as well as I should have, though we spoke once or twice - there were similarities of stature and our chosen weapons, after all. I knew she was brave, and we had the kinship of being swords, and being knights of the Gold Order together.
I met Lord Killian a few times as well. And I admired him for his role as the paladin of Ideals. He was polite, a bit stiff when I first met him, but I suppose that's to be expected in large crowds. He always stood out as a brave warrior, and I'm honoured to have had the chance to stand - if not beside him, then on the same side in battle.
Both of them will be sorely missed. And I will do what I can to ensure that their light lingers on in our world.

I have spoken to the Keatons about their Aegis line - the line they breed for protection. I believe we've come to a mutual sort of agreement, and I am awaiting the arrival of some of their juveniles to see if one of the dogs and I get along well enough. I've missed Vincere's dogs since they've gone to live with one of his friends. It will be nice to have some furry companionship around the house once more.

Mistress Valery and I saw Prism today at the Shrine of First Choice where she was talking to Archlector Aleksei. She is just as beautiful as was told she was.
