This week has been odd.
1. Princess Ann Redrain has agreed to be my patron. She is already proving to be both very difficult and contributing. I am undecided if she falls on the irritating side or the tolerable side.
2. I met a knight of Solace. He is a strange fellow. He has some quest to conquer me. Sir Jeffeth Bayweather is an odd man but not horrible, I suppose. He is not unpleasant like so many are when they are nice.

The companions thus far offered up have been unique and most certainly not cats. I touched upon Ryder, the falcon of some lovely red plumage and he has been a significant difference. Either on my shoulder or somewhere soaring. The assistant sent to teach me how to handle has been skilled.
But another sent me their companion and I must say this was quite the difference and quite the change. His name is Oleander. A tarantula of some quite refined tastes. Always trying to crawl right off my shoulder or attempting to hide in a pocket. It would seems that the Archduchess Velenosa was not off about her companion and his love and adoration for fine fabric. I placed him on my bed and he returned forthwith to my robes. Up the front and back behind my my hair. He brings out a variety of responses from others and it's easy enough to usher him back into hiding when someone who fears them catches wind.
It is hard to get used to the feel of his legs on the back of your neck, the hair are just prickly enough.
So thank you Archduchess Eleyna Velenosa. Your companion Oleander is well enjoyed, an interesting perspective and I promise you he only escaped twice but we found him both times quickly enough. I will return him soon enough.
I still offer myself as your animal companions shadow for the day. To any and all who would like to see a day without them by your side so you can appreciate what they bring to you, and so I can see what life with them is like.

I had the distinct pleasure of accompanying my wife to Lord Tomwell's surprise birthday party thrown by his brother. Lady Ianna gifted Lord Tomwell a beautiful harp, which he played with equal skill.

I will soon be traveling to Granato with Lucita and Luis to call the Igniseri banners in support of House Velenosa's call to join the Lyceum together. I do not know how Vincent and Pietro called the banners during the Siege of Arx - I think I was traveling at that time. It will be my first time doing such, and I can only hope that I don't mangle things too badly. I can only try, and see if my words inspire my people to take up arms to protect their homes and family.
Lucita's written a song to this purpose. I believe she's already posted it to the whites, and Luis has been working ever so hard in trying to train our troops and gathering the support of allied houses. I am proud of them, and ever so grateful they are so dedicated to House Igniseri.

Only a few more days!!
I haven't hosted a party in years....and nothing like this. I've had this idea since before....I arrived in Arx but so glad to put this together. Invitations are all out and so now.....I just have to finish getting my own costume together!
I have to thank Prince Aiden Grayson for being so gracious and helping me to decide to use the Menagerie as the venue. I think it will be a perfect setting for the event.
Time to party! And no excuse because EVERYONE got invites...and if someone didn't get theirs....I'll be having a word with someone.
(OOC - So event #1275 is the event and serves as the invites that were sent out to eveyrone. I just....iRL have the time to sit and send go knows how many messengers. @_@)
