Valardin Ward's First Annual Armor Run

On this day, people who like to run around in heavy armor may do so for a good cause! This will be a charity run to benefit those who were hurt by the fire in the lower boroughs. There's also a possibility that someone will be selling pastries dusted in sugar to pelt the runners? It's best not to ask too many questions.

Esoka

Being hit with pastries is not an exercise routine I've tried before. Surprisingly enjoyable. Though I think I might have put any weight I sweated off back on in the eating of them afterward. I came in second in the race, just ahead of Sir Daemon of the Knights of Solace, who put in a very fine showing. If I have to place behind anyone, I've no shame that it's Princess Reese, with her hare-like speed in armor. A fun time, and I hope it raised funds that will do some good in the Lowers.

Reese arrives while adorned in steel plate, lots of pink and toting along her weapons. "Oh, running around in amor while being pelted with things, just another day." She murmurs.

Cristoph is decked out in all of his bright blue and gold armor, so that no one can possibly miss him. As the race gears up, he gets up onto one of the benches and makes a sharp whistling noise. "HELLO EVERYONE." Parade voice! Once he garners the attention of the bulk of the crowd, he'll wave. "Thank you for coming out here today. Several months ago there was a fire in the lowers that caused extensive damage. Money raised from this run will go towards improving those areas and offering sustained support in their recovery. You can purcase patries from Countess Reigna Keaton! They're for eating... or throwing at the runners." At this comment, he slides a sly smile in Reigna's direction. "Alternately you may feel free to donate whatever funds you like. Also to Countess Keaton." He gestures to a designated location, "Those who wish to run may get in line and we'll take down names."

Agnarr does not seem adequately equipped to join the run. He places himself along the side, perhaps intent on pilfering pastries to eat instead of pelting people with them.

Confessor Imori, 2 Grayson Guardsmen, Confessor Warren, 5 Armed Confessors arrive, following Tikva.

Olenna, Pellinor arrive, following Alarissa.

Esoka strides through the Valardin Gate, steps eager and stompy, big smile on her face. In anticipation of running about in armor and being pelted! It's exciting stuff for her. She clanks over to the line.

Daemon was... getting warmed up, to call what he was doing something vaguely related. The knight was stood on one leg, his hands joined and held out in front of his chest. Slowly, he bent down on that one leg and then arose again. "One must be limber." He said to no one in particular, bending down at the waist and spreading his arms to either side of himself. "Limberness is the path to quality running." He put his palms flat on the ground and straightened out his back in a down-ward dog pose. "As it is close to godliness." This ritual continued on, with plenty of satisfying pops and the scrapping of armored plates following. "Limber. Pure. Limber."

Then Daemon is back to his feet, ship-shape and completely... limber. He marches to the back of the line with purpose.

Ian turns up a little bit early, which allows for plenty of time for him to make his way at a slow strolling pace to where the audience are situated. Not that he's strolling, by any means. He walks with his head down, watching his feet, his gait oddly mechanical, less like a man, and more like a marionette.

Reese heads over the runner's line, looking rather shiny in the all the metal. She looks over to Esoka, giving her a grin.

Jericho arrives at the gate to the Valardin ward, smiling softly at all those present. "Hm...I pray I haven't missed anything." he says as he wears his hunters gear with a soft smile, his long, silver hair flowing with the wind just a little bit. "I wonder how Alis is doing...."

Esoka has joined the line.

Sparte is there incognito. He doesn't have his weapons or anything else that might normally identify him as who he is, wearing a full suit of Iron Guard armor with a helmet styled in the shape of a Fox's face. He has signed up to participate as the Iron Fox, so we'll see how that works out for him.

Daemon has joined the line.

Reese has joined the line.

Alis has joined the line.

Waldemai cheers for the competitors lining up. "Let's see a clean race and a worthy winner!" With hi sbandy legs and broad shoulders, he is not built for speed.

Tikva has joined the line.

The narrow, sort of hungry-looking Telnar lord arrives with his hands in his pockets and the collar turned up of his coat. Percephon ambles up, finds an excellent place to wait until he is able to purchase pastries - and he prepares for the feast. Er, run.

Corban has joined the line.

Sparte has joined the line.

Alarissa - a ridiculous amount of guards in tow with her of the Thrax variety - makes her way onto the Valardin grounds. In that retiue with her is a woman carrying Astrid - and they're taking their time to move in, mindful of others, and take part in at least observing the armor run.

Tikva whistles with two fingers to her lips and waves with a certain overexuberance to several of her friends that are already in this line as she joins up.

Corban makes his way on up to the line, looking well -- no one can really look limber in a suit of full tincan armor. But he rattles appropriately, having stretched out before the announcement. He finds himself near a certain Grayson princess. "Princess Tikva. Ready to make a racket that will scare dogs and cats across the District?"

Sir Dalan, Longsuffering Valardin Knight, Sir Danan, Studious Valardin Scribe arrive, following Clover.

Bianca headed over to the audience area, slipping between those already gathered there and turning to see who was participating this evening. She kept her fur-lined cowl pulled upward, hands rubbing together gently together to maintain a warmth against the cold.

Clingity Clang! The sound of another set of shiny armor joining the ranks of the people gathered. Alis cranes her neck this way and that way and around people to see if she can spot people as they arrive. A wave here and there. And then likely from behind a bunch of people and hard to see, "Hi Prince Jericho!"

"I am basically /always/ ready to make a racket," Tikva tells Corban with bright and easy cheer.

There are times -- rare times, of course -- that the Count of House Keaton actually delves into comedy. One of such times appears to be during the grand Valardin armor run. Kael is decked out in his sunset rubicund armor, clanking as he stands behind his liege-lord during his announcement and starts to strike very outrageous poses. Perhaps he believes no one shall recognize with him with a armored flex this way, or a valiant pose struck in another way, due to the fact that his helm is currently worn, and down. He could make better use of his time, but comedy is where it is at. Eventually he'll clank on over to the starting line.

When Thena arrives she doesn't look exactly like she's there for a run; half her pieces are black leather armor but the neatly tailored leather jacket and long umbra cloak speak of spectator mode. Instead she makes her way towards Reigna, a little half-smile on her lips. "Could I get a couple of the pastries please?"

Kael has joined the line.

Esoka does lots of gauntlet-clad waving. To Reese, and to Tikva, when she joins up with them. "Are you running?" she asks the princess inquisitor brightly. "And being hit with things! It sounded like much fun." A bow of her head is offered to Corban as well. "I intend to be very loud!" Said loudly.

Madeleine wears shoes today. This means it's cold. The Archlector of Mangata has a mug of mulled cider she sips from as she joins the spectators for the amusing charity drive. Her golden hair has a few leaves and autumn roses twined in it for color.

Reigna gets a basket of weaponized pastries from Cloth satchel.

He did promise attending the event, at least, so here is Jacque, clad in his armor, and apparently considering whether or not he will join the race, considering the undecisive step forward, followed by a step back, before he crosses his arms in relative uncertainty.

Monique is there on the sidelines, looking limber and holding a basket of weaponized pastries eagerly.

Reigna gets a basket of weaponized pastries from Cloth satchel.

Sir Dalan, Longsuffering Valardin Knight, Sir Danan, Studious Valardin Scribe leave, following Clover.

A huge hideously ugly mastiff, Pyotr, a harried-looking Solace acolyte leave, following Thena.

A huge hideously ugly mastiff, Pyotr, a harried-looking Solace acolyte arrive, following Thena.

Reese calls out from the line. "Oh, save me a basket a pastries. I will eat them when this over!" She her tone pregnant with pastry lust. She then turns to Tikva, giving her a smile as she joins the line.

Reigna gets a basket of weaponized pastries from Cloth satchel.

Gerard, an aristocratic secretary arrives, following Brianna.

No one begins to yell anything at Cristoph while he's up there, so after a few minutes of watching everyone sign in, he'll hop down. With a brisk jog, he'll head to the starting line and call out, "Runners, please join us at the line!"

Reese looks over to Tikva and Esoka in the line. "When I am done running, I am eating a whole basket of pastries." She says and the pants her steel covered stomach.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Reese before departing.

"We'll be picking pastry off our armor to eat, clearly!" Tikva cackles and runs her hand back through her hair before shifting and settling in her gear.

Jacque has joined the line.

The Iron Fox moves into position , taking a little time once at the line to test the straps on his armor and make sure everything is securely in place that needs securing.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Ian before departing.

Daemon hikes up his steel britches, getting in some last minute stretches. Some ridiculous ones, others more tame. He looks ready. Determined even.

Bianca edged her way through the small crowd until reaching Percephon amidst the line up for pastries. She dipped her head to the man as a few missives were received and tucked into her bag. "Lord Percephon." Small smile was offered after. Do you mind if I stand with you during the race?"

"Ah, Dame Esoka," says Corban when his favorite sparring buddy comes up alongside him. "It is good to see you! And yes. Quite so. But still." He stretches out his arm, yanking it across to make sure he is limber. "I don't even usually wear my full plate to spar. Running will be quite the feat."

Ashe, the studious Stormward paralegal arrives, delivering a message to Bianca before departing.

Alis apparently did all of her stretching beforehand, to save all of her dignity for when she trips over something and goes flying... knocking down half the knights ina domino display of glory.

Alarissa drops Sidelines 1.

Alarissa drops Sidelines 2.

Alarissa drops Food Area.

Reese gives over some silver to Reigna slipping out of the line for a moment.

Vim, the dragon corgi arrives, delivering a message to Corban before departing.

Alarissa drops Sidelines 3.

Norwood has arrived sans armor, not quite ready to allow himself to be covered in pastries tonight. He stays away from the starting line less he does end up somehow getting roped in. Maybe he will end up actually taking a pastry later.

Madeleine has joined the Sidelines 1.

Brianna has joined the Sidelines 1.

"Blessed Bianca, Archlector --" Percephon slowly inclines his head forward, offering a wave with ink-stained digits that are also coated in powdered sugar. "You have an excellent sense of timing. I hope that you have been well. Shall we find a place to sit and watch the spectacle?"

Brianna comes up to the side, she's a little late but she has a grin on her lips. "I can't wait to see who I can hit with a pastry, this is going to be fun!"

Norwood has joined the Sidelines 1.

Oaken, a massive Oakhaven bloodhound have been dismissed.

Marigold, a cheeky pygmy goat have been dismissed.

Marie, chef of Keaton Hall have been dismissed.

Reese looks over to Brianna. "Oh, you will never hit me!" She says while standing in line once again.

Serenity arrives, delivering a message to Percephon before departing.

Ian unbuttons his coat just enough to take a flask from an inner pocket, and takes a drink. As he's buttoning his coat again, a messenger taps him on the arm and hands him a message. He reads it, then folds it into neat quarters and slips that into the inner pocket of his coat as well.

Bianca inclined her head in another short bob. "Yes. Please, I'll follow your lead." She moved to take hold of the crook of Percephon's arm, baring similar signs of vocation as he given the blackened tips of her fingers. Sans powdered sugar, though! "Excellent timing, hm?"

Percephon has joined the Sidelines 1.

Bianca has joined the Sidelines 1.

Madeleine has no pastries, but the Archlector is happily giving sips of hot cider away from her mug to any needing a hot drink. It's a very tall mug. The plump woman isn't here with anyone in particular but seems to be working the crowd for cheerful smiles.

Corban makes his way, milling along the runner in the group and smiling to them, welcoming them. "Sir Daemon! It's been too long. Hope you are doing well. Keeping busy at the House of Solace, I read?" He arches a brow. Got to glad hand as a co-host.

When it looks like most of the participants have made it to the line, Cristoph casts a look around. He rocks on his feet and does the whistle thing again. It's the final countdown! And in 3, 2, 1... They're off!

Daemon whirls right around to flash Corban a cheery smile. "That I am! Nothing a shortage of work, in fact. Especially no in troubling times." He bows deeply to the man, prim and proper as always. Oh, but there goes the bell. "Pardon me, gotta run!"

"How much for those pastries?" Agnarr asks Reigna. He's a little late to fetch his 'supply'.

Wilhelm the Iron Messenger arrives, delivering a message to Bianca before departing.

Esoka rolls her neck and extends her arms. To limber. Limber-ish. As much as one can be, while wearing a pile of steel. She buckles down and gets ready to run, bowling forth.

Alarissa has joined the Sidelines 1.

Waldemai cheers for the runners. "Go! Go! Go!"

Alarissa makes her way to the sidelines, slipping into place beside the Archlector of Mangata with a smile, her little retinue in tow as the race starts.

Jericho cheers for the runners as they head off. "Come on Valardin!" he clearly is a biased source.

The Iron Fox starts at a nice steady pace. He isn't aiming to lead the pack or be at the rear of it. While you can't see their face their body language suggests they enjoy the exercise.

Reigna has been merrily manning the pastries, passing them out as fast as she can, while trying to crane her neck and peer through the crowd to see the runners. She cheers them on enthusiastically, though when Agnarr approaches, she beams, "Whatever you'd like to donate, Goodman! I'm happy to take silver or writs as you prefer, it's all going to charity!"

Wynna has joined the Sidelines 1.

Ian has joined the Sidelines 1.

Reese takes off at all this speed. She seems so very graceful and nimble for being in lots of steel.

Reigna gets a basket of weaponized pastries from Cloth satchel.

Clank, clank, clank, Corban takes off from the start and is quite happy with how this is all coming together! Corban jumps out to an early lead but then -- "Was that Princess Reese that just went on by?" he asks, looking confused for the life of him at that blur in pink.

Brianna lifts a hand up, "Hey, pastries -over here-!" as she waves towards Reigna who delivers a basket of weaponized pastries. She takes a look and has a mischievous laugh come out, "Mwa ha ha."

Ian slips into the sidelines and eases his weight onto his cane. He raises his eyebrows at the speeding... arrow... that is Reese.

Alis gets no sleep as a parent these days, and that's obviously why she looks like an exhausted monkey trying to be coordinated while encased in clunky metal. Or something.

Jacque is steady, keeping a pace that is not as competitive with the others, but at least he maintains himself at the same pace even as he watches Reese literally flash by the other competitors. His eyes widen for a moment. "Just... what..."

Settling onto a sea Norwood settles himself back. A smile stretches across his expression as the start is announced. It's totally respectful amusement as he ponders those pastries.

Kael begins his journey, clanking along in his armor! "This," calls out the young man from underneath the metal with only the slightest of huffs, "is going to be a a long race!" He's more toward the end of the pack, but has room for commentary still. "What!" he calls, spying someone so far ahead!

There is so much throwing of pastries at Corban from Monique. SO MUCH. All the really gooey ones.

Reigna gets a basket of weaponized pastries from Cloth satchel.

"Silver it is." Agnarr hands Reigna some coins in a larger denomination, waiting for his pastry ammunition.

The race is on! Reese Grayson /breaks/ loose of the pack in the very beginning, putting significant distance between herself and the rest of the contenders. Following at a distance is Lord Corban Telmar and Dame Esoka Greenblood! The rest of the race is sort of a mixed back of people running at reasonable speeds. The sound of metal clanking is really unbelievable. SO LOUD. Also, people are being pelted with pastries. Somewhere, someplace, bakers are crying.

Tikva moves at a fairly steady gallop, neither the fastest nor the slowest in the pack, puffing along halfway between a run and a jog, really. Her armor clanks. Clankity-clankity-clankity!

3 Laurent Guards arrives, following Nicia.

Cristoph is in the main group! He doesn't seem to be putting a ton of zeal into running as far as speed is concerned, but he's loud and yelling and encouraging the others in the pack.

Thena gets her basket of pastries and drifts over to the crowd on the sidelines, peeking in at the contents. "Well that's clever." She pulls out a little dagger-shaped selection. After turning it over a couple of times she turns and smoothly wings it at Daemon.

Thena checked dexterity + small wpn at difficulty 15, rolling 35 higher.

Tossing his goeey pastries hand to hand after bearing his basket, Agnarr smirks. He takes a bite from one, and then with force, hurls several towards those in the lead. Mostly Reese.

Brianna wields a brilliant sugar-dusted pastry sword

and she aims it at the leader who clanks ahead of the pack. "Don't wear yourself out, you need a refreshment!" she shouts to Reese.

Nicia was really here this whole time. No, really. That slightly hurried, out of breath look? Very normal. Just ask anyone. Although she was totally here, this whole time, she moves towards a spot on the sidelines to watch the proceedings.

Nicia has joined the Sidelines 2.

Of course this may mean dodging a few runners (and the youngsters emulating them) and apparently some thrown pastries, young lady! Margerie looks at Monique with mock sternness.

Daemon seems to be having a confident go of it, perhaps not too far toward the front but at least he's not dead last! Things are going so well, until suddenly a gooey mess shaped like a dagger flies directly into his visor. Sugary powder and sticky honey splatters across his armor. "AUGH!" He cries. "Why?!" Stumble, stumble. His armor clanks as the sticky residue runs down the front of his chestplate. "WHYYYY?!"

Agnarr checked dexterity + huge wpn at difficulty 15, rolling 63 higher.

Tikva checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 20, rolling 6 higher.

Dog, an oversized puppy, 2 Redrain novice guards arrive, following Donella.

Tikva checked stamina at difficulty 10, rolling 3 lower.

Esoka starts forward at a steady pace that eats ground decently, though she has to blink at Reese's pure shot of speed. She trudges onward, head high and heedless of flying foodstuffs.

Waldemai cheers for all. "Yay! Rah! Rah! Run!"

Reese gets pelted with Agnarr's and Brianna's pastries. Her armor is looking even more pink now as some of the raspberry jelly oozes out.

Sparte checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 20, rolling 3 lower.

"Countess Keaton. What are the odds that your husband will win?" Alarissa calls out to woman bearing pastries.

Sparte has rolled a critical success!
Sparte checked stamina at difficulty 10, rolling 18 higher.

"It's for your own good!" Thena calls as Daemon flails in distress.

Corban is really quite happy with how his run is going. His training with Esoka is paying off, he's keeping his arms and legs free, just like she showed him, and isn't -- but then there is Christoph breaking from the pack and getting past him, and a certain -- jelly thing! -- coming at him from the redhaired Lady Monqiue's direction. "Hey! I thought you liked me!"

Alis keeps on keeping on with that definitely slow but steady pace! The accasional clank of her armor met with the splat of a pastry hitting the shiny steel. And, being hungy, her equally unwieldy hands grab at one of them and stuff some pastry in her mouth. Cause screw it. She missed dinner.

There's a nod of Norwood's head towards Percephon,

Jacque is very, very far from the leading group. But he keeps it up, his pacing never really changing speed, even as he struggles to accelerate. At least he can be considered properly consistent, if not exactly the best athlete ever.

"I'm trying to feed you!" Monique calls back in Corban's direction, tossing some pastry at Cristoph when he passes. "Isn't that the way to a man's heart?"

Donella may, or may not have arrived with a little parchment cone of candied maple-bacon bits to toss onto the course. "Go, Alis!" she cheers.

There's a nod of Norwood's head towards Percephon, greeting him in return. Leaning forward slightly he bends towards Wynna offering up a helpful, "You seem a little confused."

Brianna flings her pastry sword at Ribbons with a laugh before she picks another one up to take a lil bite out of it. "Mmmmph." she says, "These are good. Go on and run, Ribbons, so you can get one of these or I'll eat them all."

Jacque also gets splattered by a rogue pastry right on the eye. Unflinching!

Alis opens mouth, tries to catch maple bacon bits!

Agnarr checked dexterity + huge wpn at difficulty 15, rolling 38 higher.

A smile plays around Ian's mouth as he watches. He takes out his flask and takes another drink.

Agnarr chuckles, taking a bite out of another gooey pastry. This time, he aims the next 'salvo' towards Esoka, and his aim seems rather good.

Tikva is definitely starting to wheeze a little as she gets pelted and smeared with stuff!

Reigna is laughing as the runners are pelted, and others munch on the pastries. "I've still got some pastries left! Get your food and ammunition here! Donations all given to those who need it! Come get your pastries!"

The Iron Fox is falling back in the pack. He isn't making very good speed, though he is easily keeping on moving along. Possibly unlike the others he isn't as worried about ending in first, he should be more worried about ending in last. Yet so far he has managed not to take a hit with a pastry. Will someone target him to change that?

Reese lifts her gaze to Brianna and her blue eyes widen with nervous concern! Maybe she worries all the pastries will be goen if she doesn't hurry.

Esoka is just getting her second wind. Or first wind, perhaps. It's early yet. She surges faster...putting herself in perfect position to get a pastry in the face from Agnarr. She grunts. She licks at her nose. Attempting to eat while trudge-running. Mostly she just makes herself messier, but she manages to ingest /some/ sugar.

Kael makes a little headway, increasing his speed, and he just keeps on trucking. "Lord Corban!" he calls, clearly attempting to distract his fellow runner. Perhaps not. "Has..." and thereafter, a finish of, "magnificent hair!" He is absolutely using that as a running chant.

Cristoph and Esoka both seem to get a bit faster in this portion of the race! While Reese is still ahead! However Cris is mildly confused when a pastry comes straight at his face. Which really, he should have expected this. Still, a large man dancing in armor as he runs and batting away baked goods is probably worth the laugh.

"There's really not much to it, Lord Kael! You just brush it straight back!" calls out Corban to Kael, turning his head to face him, further behind in the pack. There is then a pause as he is pelted by a roll, that he tries to rip a bite out of (he fails) before continuing. "Most comment on my piercingly blue eyes!"

Agnarr checked dexterity + huge wpn at difficulty 15, rolling 33 higher.

Waldemai sends a pouch over to the Countess Reigna. "That's a donation from myself and the merchants of Southport Square," he explains. No pastries, please. They go straight to his butt.

Coiling back to prepare his mighty throw, Agnarr lobs pastries like a trebuchet over towards Corban's predicted position.

Reigna gets a basket of weaponized pastries from Cloth satchel.

Corban has rolled a critical success!
Corban checked dexterity + dodge at difficulty 15, rolling 75 higher.

Donella ruminates, "Oh, does he have fine eyes? I love a pair of baby-blues." More bacos.

Alarissa has left the Sidelines 1.

Olenna, Pellinor leave, following Alarissa.

Jericho seems to clap at the competitive spirit between everyone as he leans against a beam. "heh...man, these people run fast. I wonder if I'm faster?" he flashes only a slightly animalistic grin. Then Corban's ability to dodge has him smiling. "Heh...well done!"

Madeleine has donated some silver and asked her pastries go to the poor to throw. Or eat. Either. "Well done," she calls joyfully. To what, though, she leaves unsaid.

Percephon cups his hands around his mouth, calling out to the crowd of armored runners, "Run, run. No jogging with /glazed/ expressions on your faces. This is for a good cause, and jelly is being sacrificed in all of your glorious names! Donut let us down!"

Reigna smiles happily to Waldemai offering over a basket full of delicate raspberry filled pastries. "Here you are goodman! Thank you for your generousity!"

Margerie pushes up on tiptoe to better pick out who her nephew is complimenting, then raises a brow as she looks from the runners to Reigna and back. But then there's Waldemai declining the pastries and she suggests, "Why not let some of the children have them to throw at the runners. It seems to be part of the fun."

Waldemai tells Margerie, "That's an excellent idea." He passes over the basket of weaponized pastries.

Having targeted the one person who works for her, Thena just stands on the sidelines with the basket in hand. Her rampage-of-one seems to be over.

Reigna looks to Margerie and laughs, "What are you looking at? I can't see anything! Is Kael winning?"

Monique checked dexterity + medium wpn at difficulty 15, rolling 35 higher.

Is Percephon wearing armor? No? But why does Monique throw a sword-pastry at him?

"Pelt me with sweets, will you?!" Daemon calls to no one in particular (THENA) as he runs, taking a moment wipe a glob of jelly off of his helmet and straight into his waiting mouth. With a defiant cry, he begins to speed up as he leaks assorted confectioneries from the gaps in his armor. "I'M NOT USUALLY ALLOWED THIS MUCH SUGAR! BEHOLD!" Clank, clank, clank, clank. There he goes.

Corban is putting in a middling showing on the run, which isn't to say he's doing POORLY. He's just behind some of the more-trained full-plate-wearers in the City. So he takes a moment to show off. When Agnarr launches that pastry at him, he pauses to move around like an outfielder getting out under a high pop fly. And then he grabs the baked good out of the air in his teeth, chewing and swallowing, taking a snack for the rest of the run.

Madeleine passes around pastries to those who want them, nibbling on the end of a sugar sword herself. She's more inclined to eat than toss. Her figure shows it.

Kael is clearly thrown off from said piercing blue eyes, or perhaps it is due to the fact that he brings an armored arm up to his ribs and is chuckling. He calls forth, "To Lord Corban's piercing blue eyes!" midst laughter, slipping somewhat from his place in the middle of the pack.

The sword-pastry bops off Percephon's temple, his shoulder, and into his lap. His dark eyes brighten behind his glasses: "Oh, another snack!"

Reese keeps running even while silvery steel is adorned with pink jelly. She probably likes it this way, knowing Reese!

Alis, too busy groaning at Percephon's horrible puns to notice that she has just stepped on an already squished pastry. One that had the jam all running out of it, soooo... wheeeeeeeee! She speeds up alright, but it's because she slides and flails and clanks her way ahead of a few people before wheezing to a bit less of of a clusterfuck version of running.

Tikva is definitely lagging behind now, puffing and wheezing under the weight of her armor and trying not to giggle too much. At some point, some kind of smeary hazelnut cream has gotten in her hair. This is her life now.

Margerie crouches down with the basket, the better to arm a batallion of small fries. She points them to a good bit of sideline with an excellent pelting vantage point. "Remember to aim for the cleanest armor, everyone should get a chance!" When she hops up again, a bow of the head to Waldemai and she smirks at Reigna. "I keep thinking I hear his voice in some banter about pretty eyes and hair. Hard to make out. Maybe he's composing an ode to you while he runs. I think we should demand he share it with us when he catches his breath."

Donella glances to Margerie, and asks, "Why wait? It might be better, breathless?"

"Pretty eyes and hair?" Reigna's bros furrow and she tries to lift up on her tip toes to peer at the racers. She's tallish for a woman and Kael's rubicund armor is eyecatching. Donella's commentary has Reigna flashing the woman a smile, "Agreed! Breathless poetry is the best."

Reigna gets a basket of weaponized pastries from Cloth satchel.

"Pretty a... aaarms, too," Monique asides to Reigna, a grin touching her lips, dancing in her eyes. More pastries fly at whomever happens to be passing by now.

Reese is waaay ahead of everyone. HOWEVER. Esoka is quite close and fast and keeping up a healthy clip. Cristoph is flailing along behind them, getting pelted with pastries but seeming to enjoy himself! Of those in this race to win it, Daemon is keeping a solid clip and is leaving behind quite a few others at the moment.

Jericho can't help but laugh when people can't avoid all the pastry flying everywhere. "Well....we certainly spared no expense on entertaining ventures." he says mostly to himself. but he is smiling!

"Arse, I think," Agnarr opines over at Monique. His next targets this time appear to be Sparte and Daemon, giving each their just desserts.

Agnarr checked dexterity + huge wpn at difficulty 15, rolling 71 higher.

Madeleine says, "Who is pretty?" She asks aloud In her smoky voice, eyes drifting to the armored men on the field. "Surely tjere's so many that could describe!"

Margerie answers Donella, "I don't want anyone thinking I'm trying to take my old job back if he keels over, but if his wife approves, let's make it so. Breathless poetry it will be."

Alis and her armor have apparently had enough. She's absolutely going to blame the pastries, arms flailing as she lands in a heap on right on her ass. An ass now smeared with flaky phylo dough and strawberry jam. "Donellllaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Did I leave my dignity with you over there somewhere?" she opines, knowing in advance the answer is no. Even though she's giggling behind her helmet as she yanks it off to take a deep breath of cold air.

Sparte checked dexterity + dodge at difficulty 15, rolling 44 higher.

Jacque is obviously out of his league here, with the other runners at the front getting that edge as the finish line beckons ever closer. Instead, he seems to be progressing to the middle of the pack, something which apparently surprises the Valardin prince. Until, of course, he loses what acceleration he's gained, instead showing remarkable endurance. Holy lung capacity. He's definitely going to lose, but he's going to be losing with a loud, booming laughter, despite becoming an easy target for pastry assaults, despite getting back to the bottom of the group again.

"Hard to look away," answers Agnarr with a brow waggle. His aim isn't bad.

The Iron Fox (Sparte) isn't moving so fast. Yet he isn't stopping. Slowly running on, with an occasional sidestep for a pastry here or there. Unmarred, unhit! And then Agnarr lobs one that catches him right in the faceplate of his incognito fox helmet. He pauses a moment to wipe it away before slumping his shoulders and striding forward again.

Daemon is huffing and puffing at this point, keeping an elegant gait for a fully armored man. One might call it awkward, or perhaps even... strange. But he gallops along with the rest of the pack, clearly determined to last the whole way through. It's then however that he's pelted by another splattering of something vaguely looking like pie. Cream-filling goes everywhere. "CURSE YOU!" He screams to the sky, fists up as he trots along.

"Oh, Alis --" Percephon makes a face, looking horrified for a moment, " If you weren't so graceful, you wouldn't be in this jam!" He sits back, grinning, awaiting the next pastry to get thrown at him.

Too much laughter is not good for the race! Kael, in the final leg of the journey, seems to be quite winded. That rubicund armor of his starts to teeter a bit, leaning a bit to the right, a bit to the left, and he stumbles to the finish. The good thing is no more wise cracks or odes to Corban. He's just concentrating on breathing.

Donella glances down at herself and makes a show of checking, even the bottoms of her shoes. "No," she calls to Alis, because sometimes it is nice to fulfill expectations, "No, I'm certain I've got no dignity at all over here, berry-bum!"

Madeleine giggles at Daemon. "Poor thing," she laments. The Archlector enjoys her own selection of food, not bothering to chuck at the runners.

Reese keeps running. She is still rather fast and still far from winded.

Aaaand there we go! Corban finishes in the solid top half of the runners, even without any unusual feats of speed or stamina! No! He did it all on his own, with his rattly arms and legs. But when he makes his way around the finish line, he is breathing hard, hunched over, sucking in air. Sure, he made it, but it was SOMETHING. Thank goodness he has a snack.

"No argument here," Monique chuckles, nudging the mountain with a shoulder. "You ought to take it easier on them! Those things aren't meant to be real weapons!" Even as she says it, she applauds the ones who made it to the finish line.

There's no burst of speed frome Esoka. Just the same steady, ground-eating pace she's been at throughout this run. Occasionally, a finger swipes over to lop some pastry off her shoulder for eating. It's keeping her energy up! Or something.

Thena looks sidelong at Madeleine and the corner of her mouth quirks up. "I imagine he'll be all right, Blessed. The more time he spends cleaning his armor, the less time he'll spend re-dusting everything in the House of Solace."

"No weapon is too terrible to use," insists Agnarr, raising his elbow to bump Monique right back. The people who don't make it yet are now his primary target.

After all of that running, people begin to cross the finish line: Reese! Esoka! Cristoph! Corban! Daemon! Jacque! Kael! Alis! Tikva! Sparte! However, since some of the people running are the gracious hosts of this event... the winners end up being announced as: "Princess Reese Grayson first!" followed by, "Dame Esoka Greeenblood takes second! And Sir Daemon Dracone takes 3rd!" As this is happening, people pretty much drop at the end. Including Cristoph who tosses his helmet on the ground and then /lays/ on the ground with his arms spread out.

Alis turns her head in an almost exorcist like manner (almost, cause that would be impossible!) to eyeball Percephon and push herself up to her feet. All so she can sneak a pastry from one of the ma0ny baskets and chuck it right at him. "Berry-bum. You think I could go with that at the next council meeting?" Her expression perks up considerably at the thought. "I must insist you all address me as Princess Berry-Bum. I think everyone would be too busy snickering for there to be any arguments that day." Having not seen Donella in ages of course, she sits her berried ass on a bench right beside the Redrain Princess-Consort.

Corban is overheard praising Reese for: Winner of the Armor Run!

Alis is overheard praising Reese.

Alis is overheard praising Esoka.

Madeleine grins at Thena. "He did well, at least!" And she claps for all the competitors with a sincere admiration.

Alis is overheard praising Daemon.

Corban is overheard praising Cristoph for: A fantastic host of the Armor Run!

Madeleine is overheard praising Reese.

Madeleine is overheard praising Daemon.

Madeleine is overheard praising Esoka.

Corban is overheard praising Reigna for: Our Armor Run logistician extraordinare!

Reese is overheard praising Esoka for: She is super fast!

Waldemai cheers! "The princess, hurray! Dame Esoka! Well run, everyone!"

"Only the best in the Silver Order." Thena cracks a grin, then applauds as the runners cross the finish line.

Brianna gives a cheer as Reese is declared the winner, although it's a bit muffled due to half a pastry stuffed in her mouth. But one might be sort of sure she's cheering happily.

Kael is overheard praising Reese for: Is there anything she can't do!?

Jacque is overheard praising Reese for: That's a bolt of lightning, not a Princess.

Tikva has definitely lagged throughout the race and there's a hint of a limp to the way she drags her ass to the final quarter of the race, like she maybe managed to pull a muscle in the midst of this charge. Huffing and puffing, she crashes to the ground unceremoniously not far from Cristoph, and bellows, "Aaaaaahhhhahahahaha," before she slowly, clankily, rolls over from stretched out on her belly to stretched out on her back. "I am never moving again," she claims, from beneath the smear of hazelnut paste that has gotten all over her head.

Kael is overheard praising Corban for: For piercing blue eyes!

Reigna gets to abandon her post as the runners reach the finish, heading over to watch as Kael crosses the finish line, "Keaton! Keaton!" Yes, she's fangirling for her husband. She cheers as Alis moves past, "Princess Alis! Terrific!" She cheers the winners as well, "Princess Reese! Well done! Well run!"

Applause from Norwood for the winners though he keeps composure and there is no cheering from him for the winners. "Well done, well done."

Reigna gets aubergine and amethyst silk cloak from Cloth satchel.

Reigna gets green silk ranger's cloak with emeralds from Cloth satchel.

Reigna gets sunrise cloak in blue silk from Cloth satchel.

a clap then from Jericho as he congratulates Princess Reese. "Not bad Grayson..." he smiels then a moment before he looks at Alis at her declaration, approaching her with a smile on his face. "Heh, I don't know if I want to call you that, but it's good to see you all the same."

Reigna drops aubergine and amethyst silk cloak.

Reigna drops sunrise cloak in blue silk.

Reigna drops green silk ranger's cloak with emeralds.

Reese reaches the finishes line and woots! She seems all excited from the win. She pulls of her pastry adorned helmet, revealing her golden locks and pink cheeks. "Good race!" She says, calling out to the others.

Ian steps out of the stands and starts for the exit, moving slowly. Somewhere else to be, apparently.

Esoka comes to a stomping stop, taking her helmet off. Face red and dark curls sweaty, and her armor is well-covered in pastry goo, but her blue eyes are bright. "Well run, Princess!" she booms at Reese. "And you, Sir Daemon. All of you. My! That was bracing! I should run in all my steel more often."

Madeleine has left the Sidelines 1.

Ian has left the Sidelines 1.

Daemon doesn't so much as run passed the finish line as he does skid passed it. In the final lap the combination of sugar-high and a tiring race wear on him until he's on his knees and literally sliding into third place. With all said and done he rips off his sticky helm, his hair matted in his face. "Yes!" He raises his fists proudly. "YESSSSS~!" And a little too enthusiastically too. "MARVELOUS SHOWING!" He calls to Esoka and Reese both, his shoulders heaving with his labored breath.

Bip! Right in the center of Percephon's chest before the pastry plunks into his opened hands, and he nods with a smug look of satisfaction. Thankfully the blackberry jelly blends into all of that black. "Thank you, Princess Berr-Bum!"

Once he crosses the finish line, Jacque wipes the sweat from his brow by pulling the chainmail coif back, leaving his hair a damp, sweaty mess. He flashes a smile to the competitors, though, nodding once to Reese before he's continuing on his way to ... the Ward of the Compact? "Princess Alis," he greets his cousin, on his way. "Nice run."

Monique slides through the goo over to Tikva. "Are you all right, Princess Tikva? I noticed the limp. Need a hand up?" She extends one, just in case. "Or a scone? Or possibly a healer?"

"Your highness, so long as it is Berry-bum and not a berry grunt, slump, or buckle... Some things in the council room just cannot pass without comment. Not that I would know, anymore." Donella applauds loudly for the contest's close. "What a mess! Lady Brianna, I see you over there! I hope you plan to share some of that!"

Moving over towards the finish line, Reigna pulls the tarp from three sewing forms, revealing the prizes for the top three runners. Three silk cloaks, all pretty on display. Reigna also has a stack of towels, as someone thought ahead. "Princess Reese Grayson! Please come up, take a towel and pick your prize!"

Cristoph is overheard praising Daemon for: For his mindblowing enthusiasm.

"Winner as always." Agnarr leaves the sidelines to waggle a pastry over towards Reese. He wanders over to look at the cloaks on display, too.

Cristoph is overheard praising Reese for: For being wicked fast.

Reigna is overheard praising Cristoph for: Such a good idea for such a good cause!

Cristoph is overheard praising Esoka for: For giving that Grayson Princess a run for her silver!

Donella is overheard praising Reese for: That armor is non-stick. You could cook an egg on it, if she'd slow down.

Cristoph is overheard praising Corban for: For running in our armor FINALLY!

Cristoph is overheard praising Kael for: For running in our armor FINALLY!

Reigna is overheard praising Kael for: Helping to organize and run such a fun event!

Cristoph is overheard praising Reigna for: For baking a ton of crazy pastries and handling all the silver!

"Jericho!" Alis has a warm smile for her cousin, gesturing towards the other side of her to welcome him to a seat. "When did you get into the city? It's so nice to see you? ... One moment." She turns to stick her tongue out at Percy, and then try to look a bit more regal again. "And you as well, Jacque. It's always fun to do these things. Even when..." she shrugs. Her new nickname says it all. "Princess Donella, this is my cousin Prince Jericho, and another cousin Prince Jacque."

Reigna is overheard praising Corban for: On a great race, well run... and well run!

Daemon is overheard praising Reese for: A bolt of lightning and jam filling!

Daemon is overheard praising Esoka for: A Dame of speediness mixed with cream!

Cristoph is overheard praising Nicia for: Probably having to find pastry crumbs laying around later. Sorry.

Kael clanks his way to his wife, his step not altogether a straight one. His helmet is taken off, dropped to the ground and he attempts to snare her for a dramatic dip-smooch. Except he is covered in sweat and his balance might be off. He eases back and once they are straight, steals a swift kiss while making sure not to sweat on the prizes.

The Iron Fox keeps on running when he hits the finish line. Apparently they're just going to run and run and run, at a nice jogging pace, right on out of the Valardin ward.

Reese looks over the three cloaks on display, seeming all torn between them. "This one has pink in.." She says, reaching for the sunrise cloak. "Thank you, it is a lovely and was such a wonderful event." She says toward Reigna. "I would put the cloak on right now, but I might want to clean up some of the pastries first."

Reese picks up sunrise cloak in blue silk.

Brianna nabs one more pastry from her basket before she heads back towards the gate, pleased as punch at the runners.

Brianna has left the Sidelines 1.

Gerard, an aristocratic secretary leaves, following Brianna.

Jericho can't help but chuckle at the warm welcome Alis gives him. "It's good to see you too cousin." though it looks like he's gained a new scar or two, he looks happy. He takes a seat next to her and smiles softly. "A pleasure, Princess Donella." he looks then to Jacque. "Heh, good to see you Jacque." he greets.

"Ow." Tikva giggles a little like an idiot and smears her hand over her face. "Uh," she says. She forces herself up onto her elbows and then reaches up with one arm to accept Monique's help, at least to the point where she is sitting up rather than trapped on her back like an overturned turtle. "I'm fine. Probably. Whoof, I think I overdid it though!"

Margerie's shoulders roll with laughter as she hears the CURSE YOU ringing out. "Someone is very dramatic." She tries to pick Kael out from amongst the armored, goo glittered figures. "Okay, that had better be Kael kissing you, Reigna Do get him to complete his poem before he catches his breath will you?"

Reese is overheard praising Reigna for: Great host!

Reigna is pulled into Kael's arms and dipsmootched! There is laughter before it is hushed by the kiss. She beams up at her husband and her eyes gleam, "You! You did wonderfully! Now I have to give away the next prize!" She laughs again and offers that towel to Princess Reese, before looking around, "Dame Esoka! Please come forward and collect your prize!"

Corban tucks his helm under his arm and makes his way over towards Lady Monique as well, grinning at Tikva as she sits up. He kisses Monique on the cheek to not to be too gross. "That was well done," he laughs. "I can't believe we made this ridiculous joke a real event."

Esoka clanks her way over to Tikva, to offer the woman a clap on the shoulder. A sticky clap. She's very pastried. "We should run in armor more often!" Is the lesson she's taking from this. She then clanks up to get her prize.

Percephon has left the Sidelines 1.

Reese gets a basket of pastries she had saved for her and the cloak. She moves to sit down with her treats. She then cheers for Esoka. "Woot! Dame Esoka!"

Madeleine says, "Dear Mangata, although armor is more Gloria's thing than yours, PLEASE make sure they get that strawberry jam off their plate before it stains, hmm?" She offers the prayer cheerully, taking a sip from her oversized cider mug before uttering the amusing words. "So I ask, so may you grant."

"Hello, Princess Donella, pleasure to meet you!" Jacque is going to do the right thing, of course. He's Valardin. He stops, offering a respectful bow of his head to the Princess Consort of the Redrain before flashing Jericho a smile. "Likewise, Jericho. I see you're in good spirits as always, which is good. Some things should never change." With a glance over to Alis, he tells the Champion of the West, "Thank you for those funds, by the way. I rather like my new set of armor - enough to run in it - and I appreciate the fine blade I got, too."

Donella has the bare-minimum good grace to look mildly ashamed of herself. It doesn't last long. Farhaven's princess consort sketches out a courtly sort of reverence for Alis's family. "Is it? That's a refresh change of pace. Welcome to Arx, highnesses. I hope we will have the pleasure of seeing you engage in more... good, clean Valardin fun."

With that, Agnarr heads on to take his leave.

Agnarr has left the Sidelines 1.

Donella stage whispers, "These ones can beat His Grace at cornhole, yes?"

Tikva chortles and tilts her head back. "Good run, Esoka, good run," she puffs. "I mean, I /am/ delighted that so much of the cream of society has been able to demonstrate a sense of humor."

"Travel safelt back to the Academy," Percephon bids the Archlector of Vellichor farewell as he dusts himself off - smearing powdered sugar - and he glances down at himself, expression wincing. "That was a good time. Now, time to head back to clean up and pretend to be civilized once more." To anymore remaining, the noble bows before he heads on his way.

Reigna gets a basket of weaponized pastries from Cloth satchel.

"I think you can all see why I typically wear leather armor in the city. Less bulky and noisy." Alis quips. "But I've definitely lost my touch in a good set of steel." is lamented, but only half-heartedly. "You are very welcome Jacque. And Jericho, I will make sure I get you set up this evening as well." she promises, before grinning at Donella. "You mean like..." Yes! "Cornhole! I sure hope so. Having to praise Prince Edain as cornhole champion just feels very awkward."

Reese starts eating pastries, nomnom. She toses one at Tikva even though the race is over!

Cristoph doesn't so much walk over to Norwood as he does drag himself next to the Sword of Artshall and collapse on the bench next to him. "So that went well."

Wilhelm the Iron Messenger leaves, following Sparte.

Reigna offers Esoka a towel to help with the mess of pastries and jelly. "Congratulations, Dame Esoka! Which of the cloaks would you like?" She gestures to the two remaining, all bright smiles.

Bianca has left the Sidelines 1.

Donella confesses, "It is nearly my very favorite thing, and feels a bit naughty."

Norwood has left the Sidelines 1.

Jericho chuckles a little more. Though he gives a little two-finger salute to Jacque. "and I see your still the scholarly type. Maybe one of these days I can take you on anotehr hunt. last time was fun." he smiles then softly. a story for another time. Then he looks to Alis with a smile. "Thank you. having some new armor would certainly be welcome." he laughs then. "cornhole?" he asks curiously then. "Heh...that sounds awful even though I know what it is."

Thena pulls up the hood of her umbra cloak and, taking her near-full basket of pastries with her, slips out of the crowd.

Esoka passes Reigna a bag of something-or-other. "For the Lowers. Compliments of House Riven. Oh, I'll take that one!" She gestures brightly to the green ranger's cloak. She'll remove her (gooey) gauntlet before taking it, so as not to get it messy.

"I don't," Jacque admits, glancing suspiciously at Donella's confession. Now he is rather sure it is nothing quite wholesome, indeed. "Some kind of prank, perhaps?"

Esoka picks up green silk ranger's cloak with emeralds.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Corban before departing.

"Thank you so much, Dame Esoka! I will ensure this gets to those who need it!" Reigna beams at Esoka and nods, handing over the cloak. "Enjoy it! You will look lovely in it!" Looking around, Reigna looks for the third winner, "Sir Daemon Dracone! Come on up and take your prize! I hope you like purple!"

"Very well done." Nicia informs Cristoph as she wanders over to where he has collapsed onto the bench, glancing around towards the others still milling around, "It seems like it was a very good turn out."

"If you don't want purple and you like mine, I will trade with you Sir Daemon." Reese offers while taking a breaking from stuffing her face.

Norwood chuckles as Cristoph collapses next to him. A particular smell follows the armor and Norwood is just going to get out a nice handkerchief to block out some of it. A nod towards Nicia as she wanders over also, "You will be able to do quite a bit of good with this."

Alis smiles impishly, for both of her family members of course. "Of course it sounds awful. And you haven't even heard us try to explain the game to people unfamiliar with it." Her eyes widen then though. "Jacque, you've never cornholed?? How can that have happened in all your time in the Oathlands. We will have to fix that as soon as possible." She truly looks shocked. "You know, bag of corn, thrown in hole... I mean, that's the simple explanation. Not the one we pull out for the barbeque and chili cookoff events."

Splat! Tikva squeaks as another pastry splatters across her armor, spraying dark fruity syrup over its dark surface. "Ack!" she says.

Kael sets himself over to the side before moving to snare his helmet from where it was abandoned on the ground. It's tucked under an arm and he proceeds to wipe his face off so he looks far less haggard, even if still red.

Reese giggles as the pastry lands against Tikva, seemingly like she had fun attacking her voice with treats.

Daemon steps up to Reigna next, completely filthy and covered in sugary sweets. He takes off one gauntlet to give her a proper bow and /not/ shake off any excess onto her. "This event has been the most lovely, b-b-bodaciously exciting run I've ever been apart of. It might be my only one, but I cannot see it ever being topped. Thank you, s-so much." He's still jittering from all that sugar and the shake of his hand as he takes the cloak makes that quite obvious. "I will c-c-cherish it forever." With that he slides it somewhere clean, turning back to Reese with a soft smile. "No need, this was exactly the one I was hoping to get!"

Daemon picks up aubergine and amethyst silk cloak.

Cristoph points to Norwood next to him when Nicia arrives."Sir Norwood was so quickly in and out of Artshall the last time he was here, have I formally introduced you two? My wife, Nicia. This is Sir Norwood Clement, a loyal and excellent servant of house Laurent. Who I'm sure you've heard stories about." In reference to the turn out of the event, "I'm going to check with Reigna after this, but I think we collected a nice amount of silver. And we had some from Prince Rook as well."

Reese looks over to Daemon, having a smile for him. "Oh, it worked out then." She says softly.

"Oh." It dawns on Jacque exactly what they're talking about, now, so he just starts laughing. Loudly. "Now I know what you're talking about. I am far from champion at it, indeed."

Reese rises to her feet after down some more pastries and slips off. She is wearing the new cloak, but only after getting herself cleaned up a bit.

Monique winces for poor Tikva and all her pastry-smooshing, waving belatedly to Corban as the Telmar Voice heads off.

Nicia inclines her head to Norwood, "A pleasure...I don't think we have had the chance to meet before, no." She then tilts her head, shaking it after a moment, "If I have heard stories, I'm certain they were all good ones. Welcome to Arx, have you settled in at the house yet?"

Donella says, "Prince Mason breaks out the coo-ree for that... and people nearly get blinded. And His Grace of Sanctum blasphemes. It's my favorite event of the year. You know, Berry-bum runs aside... We ought do something for the equestrians, though?

Jericho chuckles faintly at Alis's words. "Heh...fair enough. I don't know if Jacque has cornholed before." then Jacque answers. "Heh, I retract my earlier comment." thoug hhe does give the man a little nudge as he chuckles a bit.

Tikva eventually manages to haul herself to her feet with the assistance of a nearby bench and staggers off into the night, difficult to explain entirely.

Norwood rises to do the formal introduction and then offers Nicia his chair. It's only half kindness, she can have the worst of Cristoph's odor at the moment. "I can only be glad that my more embarrassing moments have been passed on."

Reigna looks over to Cristoph with a wide, beaming grin, "We raised so much! You did great! This has been INSPIRING!" ...Someone's been eating her product! Reigna is definitely exhibiting a bit of a sugar high, and she nods to Daemon, "I am so happy for you! Congratulations, Sir Dracone! Well done to everyone!" She moves over to Kael and offers him a towel, and then offers the last to Cristoph.

Confessor Imori, 2 Grayson Guardsmen, Confessor Warren, 5 Armed Confessors leave, following Tikva.

Esoka goes to get herself cleaned up, before she starts modeling her new cloak around town.

Alis nods solemnly. "Prince Mason's curry could be used as a weapon, we're fairly certain." Her expression momentarily grave as she dutifully informs her cousins of such. "Should we see about another jousting event, Princess Donella? Or another obstacle course? We could set it up on the grounds off of the stables." she muses.

Margerie comes out from behind Pastry Central once she's had a chance to at least wipe off her face and hands, and get the worse gummy stains off her clothes. She wanders along in Reigna's wake towards Nicia and Cristoph. "Your Grace, did I hear correctly? Was Kael composing some sort of ode while he ran?"

"That would be a strategy most foul," Jacque states gravely, having heard vaguely of this 'curry' business. Jericho's nudge has the other Valardin prince smirk at him. "It is a rite of passage in the family."

Reigna gets a basket of weaponized pastries from Cloth satchel.

"Sir Norwood doesn't have embarassing moments. Only heroic ones! Like that time he got Jael down from the tree. Or that other time he made us all go out and find her. Or that other /other/ time he led us out into the woods to find her. Come to think of it, there was a lot of chasing Jael around in the woods." Cristoph has removed his helmet and ruffles his sweat, gross, disgusting hair. Poor Nicia indeed. When Reigna arrives there's more gesturing to Norwood, "This is Sir Norwood." He's going to repeat this seven or eight more times. He's clearly excited and jittery from the race still too. "Amazing! You do fantastic handling the crowds, Countess Keaton." Now, was Kael composing an ode? "I'm not sure... I did him hear complimenting Lord Corban an awful lot."

Jericho smiles at Jacque "Heh, fair enough." before he looks on over at Alis. "ahhhh I see." strategy! before jousting is mentioned. "Jousting could be fun."

Kael, already armed with a towel (that has gone filty) goes for the fresh one so that he can not just smear yuck around. He peers over toward his Aunt Margerie, quirking a brow to her when he catches his name. "An ode?" he asks, coming up behind her. Not stealthily in that armor of his, though. Clank, clank, clank.

"Well, Princess Gwenna and I were hoping to convince everyone to join us in some winter sporting events. It would be good for all of us, to release some tension, and keep sharp for..."
