Game Night went well! Perhaps even far better than I intended. I got compliments on both the decor and the card game, and I believe even those who didn't partake in the game came away with something. I will have to hold another sometime soon.

I hope this leads to a bump in business for Mistress Jessamine. I sent her a gift for her efforts; her staff was gracious and prompt and small changes in decor were a nice touch.

I participated in a hunt earlier in the day, the one held by Prince Edain and Princess Malorie. Prince Edain was notably the most learned and skilled of the bunch, but I hope I did leave a good impression. House Grayson didn't end up winning the bet, but I at least managed to wound the beast!

Relationship Note on Ida

I'm fairly certain at this point Master Ida Ferron has gained more of my coin than most people ever will. But her weapons are exceptional, so it's a hard thing to pass up. She's fulfilled three separate orders for me since I first met her, after my first purchase, and I have no regrets regarding it. Being able to sit down with her and enjoy her company merely compounded the experience. Honestly, we're a little unlikely for acquaintances, but there's something warm and real about her which draws people in. Besides. Whiskey _and_ a penchant for sharp objects? Yes, please.

Relationship Note on Jessamine

If you captured sunshine and condensed it into the form of a lovely, yet capable, woman, you would essentially have Jessamine. Her bright smiles and overall demeanor brilliantly light up a room. I have to admit that I'm quite curious to see how she handles in her other calling in life and I'll have the privilege of seeing that soon. As the caretaker of Traders Tavern, I imagine that we'll run into each other quite a bit-- and that isn't a bad thing at all.

I decided to message Lady Calista. I had feared with her silence that I must have done something to make her mad. Apparently business has been keeping her busy. Despite this, she intends to get in contact with me and perhaps we will make up for time lost since the last time we were able to settle in for a good improper discussion, and wine tasting.

Let's be honest. Some people wouldn't expect that a member of the Iron Guard (and especially a non-whiskey-drinking one) could hold a Game Night event that wasn't dice simply being thrown while they loitered around cells. But I have to give credit where it's due. Sir Silas, with Mistress Jessamine's aid, did a pretty commendable job hosting this event. It was nicely decorated and exceptionally enjoyable. I'll undoubtedly be back in the future to lose more coin-that-isn't-mine.

Relationship Note on Isolde

Princess Isolde, I cannot say I truly know what she looks like, I have seen more of her body than her face, no true complaints there! Despite this, I consider Isolde a friend. Perhaps it is the mask that makes me want to get to know her better, or the fact she seems to take an interest in helping with the past mistakes I have made. I have gifted her with likely the most unique gift I could think of, a pair of steel dancing shoes. I have tested these shoes, whilst dancing with Isolde. Granted I never stepped on her toes. I look forward to more meetings with the Princess.

Relationship Note on Dawn

I had the privilege of meeting Lady Dawn for the first time during Sir Silas' Game Night, introduced by Duke Niccolo. She's everything that I had heard and more, but surpassingly easy to talk to and perhaps easier to watch. You know, words about her were always rather inspiring, but few can command such a respect simply by being who they are. I look forward to our interactions in the future, as rare as they might be.

Ah, Princess Isolde. She is a refreshing breath of air in a city growing stagnant and foul. I have decided to look into the beginning of our friendship, and offered to dance with her, she wanted to dance with me. I had Ida make her steel dancing shoes a while back, for when this day came, and it came, and the steel dancing shoes slowed up her feet enough that I did not end up stepping on her toes. I did not come to this city to make friends, in fact I do not want friends, but I seem to be finding them, and I consider Isolde to be a friend.

Relationship Note on Gustave

I don't know what it is about Marquis Gustave which draws my attention, aside from his incredibly towering height, of course. Maybe it was the way he called swords little while gripping that exceedingly large weapon in his own hand. Or maybe it was the way he fearlessly dived into the waters at the beach during the Soiree with a spear in hand. Or perhaps it's just the way the seas seem to accept him as one of their own. He speaks of very particular family values, but doesn't tout his rather noticeable lack of extreme vices upon others. Our paths don't cross very often, but every time they do, he has something interesting to share.

Relationship Note on Silas

The man can build furniture. He also did a good job with putting together a game night at Traders Tavern. He was very useful during the hunt as well. As long as the man continues accumulating good marks, I'll continue to watch him. He seems like a useful fellow to to know among the Iron Guard.

Hammar think he Champion now, even if Acacia think he not. Acacia smart, but she not know everything. Hammar now champion to Dawn, and she say he King Champion, Hammar not know how, but Hammar is Champion Hammar, Champion prettiest Lady in City. Hammar crush skulls for Dawn, but not Melty face Grayson.

Ironguard who put on the life changing card game at the trader's Tavern. If he ever comes to do mischief in the Lower boroughs, Hammar won't crush his skull, Hammar maybe break his leg instead.

Relationship Note on Dawn

Lady Dawn of the Grayson house asked Hammar to Champion her in Silas' card game at the Trader's Tavern. Hammar took her offered purse to Champion her in the game and ended up winning the game! She told Hammar he Champion of her and the King, but then Acacia informed him at the end of the night he is not actually Dawn's champion. Hammar still wants to look into this Champion thing for Dawn, though.

Relationship Note on Dawn

Lady Dawn of House Grayson. I was curious about what kind of woman would rise as she has. She is the Voice of her house, and I believe I can see why she's been given this honor. I had no expectations of the woman, but after our first meeting, I was left with image of a strong, diplomatic individual. One that rather than eschew advice from others, welcomes it, and is willing to listen when others have been far too quick to close themselves to it. She is pleasant company, and I look forward to see what she'll accomplish in the name of Grayson.

Relationship Note on Dawn

Quite an unenviable fate fell upon Lady Dawn's shoulders. I wish I could help her somehow. Though, she seems to be a very talented young woman, who manages to take care of most of the tasks herself. Pity that she will spend her youth in a dark room filled with dusty papers, but nobody can run from their fate. I can only hope that she will find confidence in me and I still will be of value to my blood-family.

In many ways we are alike though I do not hold nearly the position within my house that she does in hers. Still we agree on what is important and I hope sincerely we may continue to work towards the same goals.

Relationship Note on Kima

I wonder why it is that the brightest of us, those who seem to most shine with their own light, are also those who draw the greatest sorrows. I can see that glow in Lady Kima, but I see the shadows too and I wish I could take them from her. But no matter if it is light or shadows in her eyes, she is very pleasant company, and from the tales told she is most formidable on the battlefield.

Relationship Note on Niccolo

The Voice of Velenosa is a true statesman and, I suspect, a man who would excel in any role he was cast to play. He has suffered more than I have, but his grief seems to have tempered him into something finer and in that, I must see an example to follow. I must not let my worries, grief, and troubles weigh me down, but draw on them as inspiration to prevent tragedies such as these recent events from ever coming to pass again.

Relationship Note on Gareth

My cousin is a man of many talents, an asset to the Grayson name. He is tireless in his pursuit of the truth. I could wish that he found more joy in life but to wish that for him is to dictate choices to a man who has suffered physically, emotionally, and mentally, beyond what most could survive or tolerate. We should not judge him for the course he's carved for himself after that. We owe him a great deal.
