Relationship Note on Arcelia
The Lady Arcelia Saik is a breath of fresh air in our Tower. Vibrant and full of hope, she has already made it her quest to provide succor and ease to those suffering in the Lower. An endeavor I look forward to aiding her in as much as I can. Between the cold season and the Iron Guard stepping down harder on their necks, the poor and needy deserve all the kindness they can be afforded.
I think her presence will also be good for Vomas. Kima and I do all we can but he needs some round him softer than we are.

Whew! What a melee. I really didn't know what to expect, but it sounded fun to get into a mix with so many people at once.
I don't know how many people hit me exactly, I wasn't seeing straight after the fifth hit. I lost of course, but I didn't make it easy for anyone else.
After a kind mercy helped me get, well, moving again, a sweet princess and a weaponsmith sung me lullabies to sleep in the nearby field. What a wonderful day.
I'm supposed to take today off by Sir Silas' order, but I'm already feeling fighting fit again. Who couldn't? That was amazing!

My first event that I hosted in Arx, for the fine people that call it home. From Commoner to Noble, all seem to like their wine at times. I just wanted to say it was a success, bringing new trade to Velenosa for some of their own stocks. It is a nice dry strawberry wine. I will make sure the recipe is in the hands of my family, in case I find myself too caught up in other Merchant pursuits to devote time to wine making.

The weeks wander on as the siege draws to us, here in Arx. I offered my assistance to the Crimson Blades, and I hope that I can support them best I'm able while the scouting commences. If we can do anything to slow the advance, or to lessen what is coming to us, I think the efforts are well worth it.

Relationship Note on Valencia
She is a rare one and the place she is creating will be a great thing for the City of Arx. I suppose that her and Neve are already planning the wedding there at the garden grove area she is opening. I'm not sure I think I'm ready for such plans, though I am well aware one day I will marry Neve. Valencia has a good heart and a wonderful flair for entertaining and conversation that brightens the soul and has one aspiring to make an occasion that much better.

Secrets.
Everyone has them, their own, or others they have been keeping safe for others. I think about what it means, for things to be secret. It can be so dangerous.. volatile. One wrong move could easily shatter a person's life if the wrong person is told the wrong thing...
Yet, so often, we tell others our secrets. Is it that feeling that it is eating us alive that urges us to confide in others? Is it simply wanting someone to know, just in case something happens to ourselves and we can no longer speak of it? Is it just the human desire to have some connection with another that might... understand, support?
Whatever it might be, secrets can draw people together...
... or it can tear them apart.

Relationship Note on Neve
More and more I think of her, and what will be. Of the troubles and of the pains and both that bring smiles to my face as much as it makes my heart soar to have all the good things that come with it. Willful, strong and with aim that is true or one I hope is, for I am more deserving of her than I think she deserves me. Though she shows me all the time with sweet whispers and wanting to go where I go as well. But I can't help thinking I am the one that follows the bright star in the sky at night and holds her upon my feathered back when the sun shines once more. A light to show my path and a welcome weight on my soul.

I have made no particular secret of my disapproval of the way Prince Victus ascended to the position of High Lord. Such a bloody violation of the laws of fealty cannot be approve of by Limerance, or those of us who represent him. That opinion has not changed.
However, I also cannot refuse to give credit where credit is due. While the gender segregation of the Isles is not the deepest and most persistent injustice inflicted there, to address any injustice must be recognized. So, to Prince Victus, I must say well done. Who knew that ballroom dancing could be almost as dangerous as the battlefield? I nearly had a mishap with some mysteriously placed caltrops on the dance floor, and likely would have been sidelined the rest of the evening had Archduke Niccolo not deftly saved me just in time, with a stylish dip at that.

And I mention now that these will be numbered by entries as I get to them. For time is lost when one is lost to time and that losing it can be blamed on love and beauty. So with that it has come to be, I am hooked and the one holding the line is Neve of Greensmarch, but then I needed to meet her father... Not that I would have imagined it being as naked as the day he was born, but being strangled by such unclothed strength didn't seem like a good way to go and I barely slipped away from that. Still this idea of finding a flower in the middle of winter in the Greenswood, something I will have to do, will do, or like perhaps Muiryn wants, die trying. This flower with the red petal and thistle leaf will be had and it will be delivered even if I have to wait a hole year once more to find it.
