Pink enamels, actually all of the 'warm color' enamels, all have a measure of gold to them, which means they lose their colors faster when you fire them. So I have to do them in layers, and last, to get the right hues in place before they burn out. It's rewarding work, the color of enamel on fine silver is breathtaking, no paint or pigment to paper can ever replicate it.

Well, I didn't mean to say that we don't want any petty squabbles in the journals. What else am I supposed to read over my morning tea? I just feel voices of great houses perhaps should be held to a greater standard.That said, I'm okay with leaving them to settle their own problems, though perhaps over tea we might discuss some other entertaining news, especially if you've heard anything particularly interesting!

A lot of drama surrounding white journals recently. They feel less like a religious obligation and more like gossip penned down. And while I do not feel the same religious obligation as a practitioner I am still surpised at what the journals are being used for.
To a more personal matter, my cousin Cassima Thrax and my sister Tila Sanna and I met a few days ago in my hall, had drinks and spoke of family. It was the first time my sister and my cousin met, and it was a great experience. All three of us enjoyed it, but especially my cousin. I have the feeling that she is going to grow quite fond of House Sanna.

Word to the wise, the Inquisition do not contend themselves with merely "magical" crimes, but also crimes such as brutally murdering a noblewoman.
One does not require magic to be a monster, nor, it would seem, a fool.

I personally would like to commend Lord Malesh, Marquis of House Stonewood, for his uncommon virtue. It is a rare man who chooses, consistently, his loyalty to his relations over political expediency. It would be quite usual for a Voice who publicly oversteps her bounds and socially missteps so often to be removed, but not so for House Stonewood. House Stonewood protects its own even at the expense of occasional public fiddle faddle.
I find it admirable to so privilege love over other virtues. Repeatedly.
I will not be addressing, of course, who is our Voice. That is not a matter for public determination, since a royal house certainly has no less autonomy than the least of its vassals.
