Baron Silas, Prince Aiden, Lord Estaban, Princess Lou and Prince Luca all went on the patrols I sent out. I am glad that they did. From what I hearing back, it seems that there is much danger in the wood sand it is very good thing they went. Thank you all for going.

Duke Harald is holding a mock sea battle and House Grayson will be there!
I am taking out a ship, some of soldiers, the nobles and the commoners from our ward who I can convince to come.
We need to practice sea battles. I wrote lots of people about possibly joining, but if I forgot to ask someone who wants to come, just ask.

I was second place in the race. Fast, but not quite fast enough to outrun Duke Cristoph. He is very speedy!
I was first place in the swimming race, but Dame Esoka almost beat me and Dame Alexis wasn't far behind her. They are mermaid knights.
Tristan won the horse race, which is not a big surprise. Horses probably love him the best.
The best part of placing so well was victory over my husband. It is fun to win competitions against Luca. I do care about him, but I still want to win.
The duel is coming up. I hope to place higher than Luca. We will have to place bets.

Bacon Picnic was, as I knew it would be, AMAZING! The best day ever, really. Spent with truly the best of friends anyone could ever ask for. And so many snow people and critters were made. After we made sure Eirlys was covered with many blankets and warm after she passed out. I think Gaston even sketched a picture of her sleeping. Next time I think we will do a day trip outside the city and do some shield-sledding!
Also, so much bacon! For days! All the sandwiches we will have for the Archery competition tomorrow!

So I am a little late in writing this, but never late then never. Horses are pretty magnificiant beasts. However, I don't think I am meant to ride one much less jump over things. The first jump went fine, much to my amazement, but the second. That went drastically wrong.
Thankfully I didn't break my ass. I don't think I would have ever lived that one down.

I attended the swimming competition in the Iron Pentathlon the other night and was quite glad to see that my sister, Reese, and Dame Esoka took first and second place. I also felt sorry for the poor soul who nearly drowned during the competition. I hope he's alright.
I had the good fortune to meet Lady Jael Laurent at this event. She seems like good people, and has a good head on her shoulders. There's an adventurer within her, I just know it.

I probably should have investigated this whole patronage thing a bit more before I put my interest out there.

How does one choose a patron? Do you decide based upon social status? Do you go with whoever lets you have the most artistic freedom? The highest income? The prettiest lady (or man)? How long do you wait until you choose?
Maybe I'll just put all their names on a wall and throw a knife and see where it lands.
I wish I could pick them all!
