The hunts all went off without too much of a hitch. At the very least no one was horribly injured during the boar hunt, and no rider came off while chasing down the stags. I am to understand there was some upset in regards to the pheasant hunt; those that stayed showed great skill and I think all hunters and huntresses enjoyed themselves.
I was certainly impressed by the quantity and quality of beasts brought in, and for no selfish cause but to bring to the larders of the city. This was not a senseless murder of any creature, nor cruel, not a single animal killed suffered -- as Khinn informed me, each kill was quick, proficient and respectful of the magnificent animals that will go in aid of the mouths of this city we all call home. The day was a great honour to domain and Petrichor.
I am grateful for everyone who attended, since without them the result could not be the same. Congratulations go to:
Master Calaudrin Estardes, who won the archery hunt with such skill
Princess Tikva Grayson, who felled a truly incredible stag in the mounted hunt, and;
Dame Esoka Greenblood, who battled one of the greatest boar’s Khinn had ever seen
Congratulations also go to Dame Leola Allenatore for all of the work she and the Lodge of Petrichor put into this wonderful event, and all the work they continue to do for the city, Faith and Compact.

It feels so rare to be a guest to a soiree rather than hosting and organizing it myself. Truly though, Lord Telmar and Lady Greenmarch did an exceptional job of the night.
The games looked like such fun, though some are more competitive than others, everyone wore smiles through them. The wine, company, it was a simply perfect night.
Congratulations to Lord Corban and Lady Monique to the event of the season. Simply wonderful.

I was forced due to my wife's pregnancy to represent Stonewood at a Social Gathering, which is hardly fair. Will she address the accounts in my absence? Still, it was a fine event hosted by Telmar and Greenmarch, and I do not regret attending. Spring is a fine thing and worth celebrating. I even did me duty to represent the men in a game of pig bladders against the women. We were quite handily trounced, but I will take it as something that I was the last man eliminated. What that something is, I do not know.

I had just met Lord Kaldur on our scouting mission. When we faced a creature which was giving us a brutal beating, I ordered him to protect someone and he did so without any hesitation, in spite of the great danger it presented.

I admit, when certain folk seemed determined to disrupt it, I was on edge for some time, but people were generous and understanding, and the moment of tension passed.
The party went well, though I maintain Saedrus picked the decor and such solely to find a reason to make me wear a flower crown. I owe him dearly. That said, I am far too nervous to remember what I actually said and what happened there.
The hunts were better. The sheer skill of those in the Compact continues to amaze me. Our tokens were given to those who took part, as well as prizes for those who came first. I do hope they find them of use.

As I look back over my journal entries in recent times, I realize that.... I have been somewhat.... guarded in my entries. A quip here a bit of random commentary there, but it's been some time since I have truly shared my inner thoughts about much of anything. And so much has happened I feel like I have been lax in committing my thoughts into these page. Yet there is so much I feel I should have spoken off that I am not even sure were to begin.
So I guess it is ironic that today, I came upon an entry my sister Princess Tabitha made in her own journal so many years ago when she was explaining why your white journal is so important.
"I told Eddy that his journal is important because it creates a record of knowledge. Even if it is about something that seems unimportant. It is a record of you. The white journal that we share is an amazing thing, because it lets people that have never met you, know you. That's a powerful and an important thing. What you stand for, what makes you laugh, what makes you sad, what makes you angry. These are all things that will build a bond with the people we've given our Oath to. Many will tell you be careful in what you share, and while I certainly understand you can't share everything, be honest in what you do, be thoughtful, and be critical of what you /do/ share and you'll be a richer person for it."
When I first came to Sanctum after becoming the High Lord of Oathlands, I had a copy of Tabitha's journal transcribed and sent to me, because her's was the wisdom that always guided me when I didn't know what was right or what was wrong.
I am sorry I have not been good at sharing lately Tabby. I will do better. Maybe if you return to use someday, you'll read my words and even though, you won't be the same you.... maybe some part of you will take comfort inn our story after we lost you.

The Spring Soiree was enjoyable, even if there were people there throwing -pig bladders- at one another. When a game called 'Battle of the Sexes' was proposed, I thought perhaps to enjoy a clashing of wits. Not throwing inflated animal organs at one another.
Despite that, I quite enjoyed myself thanks to sparkling company and too much very good wine. I also made a tidy sum betting against my husband with Duchess Belladonna Pravus. I'll probably donate the money to charity.

The hunt was glorious. I may not have place first in any of the events but it was wonderful to ride, to shoot and bring down my prey. I am impressed by all who participated. My special thanks go out to Dame Leola Allenatore and Saedrus Whisper for hosting the event.

I've seen many things in my time traveling Arvum, but I can genuinely say that very few approach the sight of an entire island frozen in an instant of summer, encased in ice. You could see flowers still in bloom, trees frozen in a single instant forever, everything painted in chill colors.
It was bleak, but beautiful too. And strange to think it was an instant hundreds of years old. A breath held forever and never exhaled. Like looking into the past.

I had the honor of attending a beautiful event last night hosted by Lady Monique Greenmarch and Lord Corban Telmar. It was beyond beautiful, flawlessly executed, and something that shall be the talk of those that attended for some time. I am humbled to be the winner of the game of luck that resulted in my acquisition of a priceless dragonweep ring. It now sits beautifully on my wife's finger, and, hopefully, shall be in the Keaton family for many generations. When asked of the piece, we shall certainly tell the tale of its origin.
