Tonight's events had me in stitches. Thank you everyone, for the wonderful turnout.
I think I had a ton of leftover whiskey, so if you are in need of alcohol tonight please pop by the Redrain Villa to help yourself to some Limited Edition (there were only 40 made, and will ever be made) Crovane whiskey from the liquor cabinet outside.
I'd like to take a moment to say some thanks:
*Gwenna: For helping me navigate the legal waters of this endeavor.
*Marian: For introducing us, even though she had no idea what she had done, or to what result it might lead to.
*Khanne: For helping Asger and me navigate the spiritual waters of this endeavor. Also, you know, the thing.

It has been many weeks in the making, but I finally have my first batch of copies of my very own book, penned by my very own hand.
"On the Origins of Specie"
While, upon re-reading the work, I find that my selection of words lacks flourish and is often repetitive, the mathematical equations and theories are quite sound. I could not expect anything less or, frankly, more of myself in that regard. I am never to be a poet, I fear.
In a tradition as old as the mountains, I shall make this required reading for any student of economics that seeks my tutelage.

Well, staring at the front door isn't getting anything done. I guess I better get this over with sooner, rather than later. If this is my last entry, know that I went willingly into my doom and that my sister should not be charged for her actions. I'd kill me, too, if I had the chance.

I'm exhausted. I have a mountain of work to get done, I want to restock my shop before I head to Setarco so my assistants don't burst into tears every time I walk through the doors.
Note to self: hire more apprentices.
Oh, that reminds me. Should anyone reading these know of those youngsters that are aimless, in need of work or discipline and have a keen eye for design and the untapped abilities of a dexterous pair of hands, I'd be happy to take a few on. My last batch of apprentices have become journeymen and are shadowing other master jewelers. I find working with beginners to be the most rewarding, they don't complain as much as their slightly more experienced counterparts, and all of them seem to think I'm kind/motherly/pretty/talented/nice. Journeymen are disillusioned at that point and tend to not think of me as anything other than a loud, swearing -harridan- until they've made master-class. Alas. I suspect motherhood would have been the same, if I'd been lucky enough to have children.

Relationship Note on Alarissa
When I was writing the song, Standing Watch, it was Princess Alarissa Thrax with whom had the most interactions, and worked with during the timeframe was remembering. Others were helpful also, but she always had suggestions and encouragement for city residents remaining behind and helped keep morale and hope high. I am thankful to them all.

My husband. What a really weird thing to say. We've known one another for years, have been lovers almost as long, and seem to have similar taste, though he loves silk far more than I do.

The Road to Setarco (Week 6)
The final preperations have been made and the men are on the march. I should prepare to depart soon as well. I have been working to get assistance from the Houses here to ensure that we have enough pitch and tar for the front. Considering the nature of the enemy, I believe this will be even more important than normal to have an ample supply.
I will admit that I have become behind in some of these efforts because of distractions. There will be time for distractions after the battle is resolved, for now I should try to keep my mind focus and my soul ready for what lays before us. I shall hold tight the token reminder of what I am fighting for.

If anyone complains to you that you should not write about Thralldom because it equates it with slavery, just tell them that you are writing about the practice of forcing others and their family against their will into a status that requires compulsory labor and a restriction of all rights like the freedom of movement?
