I started to read to my little Caprice. "A Boy and His Spider: A Bedtime Story" was my favorite tale. I feel that my daughter also loves it. She laughed, giggled, I can swear she even snorted while chuckling. She really enjoyed the book. Or maybe she knew it's my favorite. So, she wanted to make me happy. I can see it in her eyes, I can see how clever she is. But also I see a lot of curiosity shimmering in her gaze. Maybe she just understood that the book was also about her...
Though, she fell asleep in the middle of the story. I will have to finish tomorrow.

By the Lord Commander's decree, all knights of the Hundred must have a hobby. Something that, although it has no connection to their work for the King, they do to clear the mind or for enjoyment.
I did not have a hobby previously. But I do now. I have some charcoals and some drawing paper, and Baroness Skye has taught me the basics of sketching and other techniques. And so I present below my first drawing.
It is relaxing.
(( The scene to the discerning viewer is the gardens of the Grotto. Sir Corban has opted to take in some of the flowers, yes, but it is not the focus. Instead, some vines in a corner that are twined around one another appear to have caught his eye. The drawing is done well enough, but amateurishly, with an undue focus on technical aspects rather than capturing the essence of the scene. ))

I have acceted the Marquis Orvyn Harthall's offer of patronage -- might think us a strange pairin', one might at that, but he were lookin' for someone passionate about what they do, and you aren't gunna find nobody more passionate than ol' Jac. He's alright, I s'pose. Doesn't try to touch the merchandise, him. A gentleman in his own right, at least in that way. Coin to spare. Why, he even gave me a little friend to help me with my deliveries and messages and all what have you, he did. Chub Chub has fast become my most favourite of things, more dependable than people, and talks less. Means more time for me to fill the silence. Ah, what a good little lister, him. Good little listener.

Been uneventful, really, hasn't it? Aside from tales of ploughin' princesses, the odd threat from hither and tither, s'been quiet. Got some new frangrances I'm meant to concoct, mind. I've had the opportunity to work with Guildmaster JOscelin, and others for the Crafter's hall opening. The fashion show was absolutely spectacular and all the models showed off their skills. The work was great, and the air of positivity and group initiative, I couldn't ask for more. Really, was a blast.
