Spring's sprung -- and it's likely to be summer by the time I manage to properly clean all of the dust and cobwebs from every corner of the Loft above the shop. I discovered an old house sparrow nest tucked into the eaves of the roof when I flung open the windows to air out the room. There, the breeze picked up the corner of the curtain -- and it reminded me of a wave, somehow, something bidding me a farewell. Or a greeting. I waved back, because I always know that politeness pays. After that, I shouted (sorry, Silas, your sister will always stomp and yell - it's a terrible habit) to Mistress Lisette to put the kettle on because I need to review our ledgers and start planning!
It's good to be home.

It isn't too often these days that I pick up my thread and sewing needle, but I've found a bit of inspiration with the changing season. Quite often I spend my mornings in Lagoma's Shrine, and it was one particular day recently, while the priests were working on the garden, that motivation struck. They were burning and clearing the old plants, replacing them with the new, and it was that transition that produced a spark of creativity. When winter ends and spring arrives, everything is renewed, life returns, and all is so colorful and vibrant. I incorporated that into the overall design, and I'm fairly confident my client will be very pleased with what I've created, I daresay it's quite beautiful.

I want to thank everyone that came to the gala for the Society of Explorers. It was my first auction as wel but I feel the way I did it was conducive to people to still be social and getting to know us. Battle comes and the Gods call on those they love to defend our world. As I ride shoulder to shoulder with my brothers and sisters in the Silver Order, I face no fear of death. Rather the only anxiety that racks my mind is that I do the stories proud when they come singing of our victory. Whether I live to hear them or not shall be another story, but if such must be the case, I would like to take a moment to publicly thank those who have aided me throughout my time here in the city.
