Relationship Note on Sabine
A chance meeting in the Shrine of the Thirteenth led to a very interesting conversation with the Countess of Fortezza di Iriscal. She is extremely generous -- I am anxiously awaiting the luxury brocade piece that is being made from the bolts she sent Lady Margret and me. I only hope I am able to do its beauty justice.

Relationship Note on Ida
The only time in my life that I have regretted not pursuing any sort of martial vocation is when I visit Dame Ida Ferron's shop. The rubicund blade, Oath, is beyond compare. She has shared that she had had inspiration for another, similarly themed though not the same, which she will unveil in the coming days, and if you did not have a chance to bid on Oath, I highly encourage you to do so on the next.

I spent a very enjoyable evening with the Whitehawks, and laughed quite a bit. I highly recommend attending gatherings hosted by them when the next one comes along -- though if you attempt to outpun Lady Evonleigh, you might be disappointed.

ThIt was extraordinary to see the legends I collected brought to life at the Gala through the decor, the liquor, the games, and of course those who portrayed them throughout the evening. I am a little biased, but I was partial to Margret's Cerdic the Sunset Wanderer.
My cousin Monique, of course, was the most instrumental in planning, organizing, and carrying this event out, and I applaud her. It was truly a triumph.

My first sermon in the Shrine was the result of several months’ work, though more because of agonizing over the wording than anything else. One would think that giving a sermon would be similar to giving an argument in court, but I have found that it is really quite different -- this felt much more personal. It is difficult to put something important out into the world for scrutiny, especially something as close to my heart as my faith. However, having the support of my family and friends there made all the difference. I am so grateful for their presence, as well as for the presence of those who I met for the first time.
I was glad to share my thoughts with my listeners, and I hope that something in what I said sparked questions that can be explored through time spent in reflection. I know that I benefit from looking inward to recognize my own motivations, including negative ones, and if any of my words inspired a similar desire in someone else, then I will have done the work I set out to do.

I have spent the last week in the Shrine of the Thirteenth, and while I spend more time there than most, it was an interesting experience to be there and looking at it through a different lens, that of the Scholars. It has also certainly been a change to hear so much speaking going on inside it, but there has still been plenty of time for quiet contemplation.
I have often wondered what exactly each Silent Reflection thought was important enough to give up their ability to speak and write for -- and then by extension, whether there would be anything I would give up that ability for, and what that might be. It is a purely theoretical exercise, of course, but the more I learn, the more that question comes to the forefront of my mind. For a Scholar to go against their vows in such a fundamental way, while an egregious breach of their sacred trust, takes a different kind of courage that I cannot begin to comprehend.
I wonder if the Silent Reflection I passed on my way out today would still tell me that whatever secret he revealed was worth it.

I have been occupied of late with collecting legends for the Gala -- the stories of heroes more and less well known are fascinating, and it has inspired me to research even further into some of these inspiring figures. I am excited to see what I shall find next.

I would like to thank everyone who joined Margret and me last night for our wedding reception. It meant so much to all of us to have so many friends and family there. Margret is an exceptional event planner -- she did it all, and all I had to do was attend, which suits me perfectly. It was wonderful to see the very talented Bliss Whisper exhibiting her talent on the ice, as well.
I am very happy to be a part of House Greenmarch, who have all been so welcoming to me; Marquessa Simone and Lady Monique in particular who have brought me into the fold from the start and made me feel part of the family, and Marquis Marius who has assisted me with learning about the House and its traditions. I look forward to what the future may bring.
