Face-painting is great fun! Even if I did not hobby at art, I think I would still love it. The paint feels so cool on the skin and actually using it on someone else is so much different than on canvas. Thank you, Lady Signe! I very much enjoyed that.

I got to spend some time with Signe today. She's reminded me that I've been straddling between the shamanistic beliefs of my youth and the Compact's devotion to the Pantheon. It occurs to me that this is a divide We will one day need to bridge. How can we stand together if in our very conscience we are divided?

Fortunately it is an easy thing to get another ball. Most leather shops have a ton of scraps laying around and sewing them around a ball of wood or cork is not hard at all. Though for Tempest I think we'll need to come up with a better idea, maybe something made of bone or rawhide... hmm. I'll give it some thought.

Well, maybe a new trend's been started similar to people putting mud on themselves to look younger or some such shite.
Seems someone thought they'd help my feet stay fruity fresh with a bit of jam in my boots. Thank the Spirits it was in my room at Nightgold otherwise I'd probably get myself into a heap of trouble tracking sticky boots through the Hart!
Between Water from above, and Jam from below... I'm a curious to see where the next wave of this sinister plan comes from tomorrow.

When she first arrived to the city her and I had our differences, but what is one to expect with Shaman that adhere to different paths? I believe it was moreso she needed time to adapt to the city. I know I had to. Now that she is here I am glad, having taken her under my wing in a way to help her find her voice and the confidence to carry it through to her faith. It isn't the family name that we serve in this capacity, nor the banner of fealty. A higher calling is attributed that superlative for a reason.

Relationship Note on Signe
Signe reminds me so much of her mother, my aunt. I hardly knew her myself, given I was barely a few years old at the time. But I've heard so many good things about her, from both my father and uncles. They spoke nothing but goodness of her, of how talented she was as a shaman and her wisdom she imparted through practical proverbs that made the mysticism of the Path of Storms an easier concept to understand and portray in our lives.
When I look at Signe, and her earnest zest for the beauty of life, I know she'll do just fine. She can't fill a void of another, but she can certainly become a magnetic and vivacious young woman all her own as she is now.

Lady Signe is one of the Nightgold cousins. A bit out there, certainly, but the North is rich in personality and that's what makes us so interesting as a people.
She's promised me one of her pups once they are whelped. Perhaps it would be good to have a kennel built in the Ward, to aide her in her chosen vocation.

This one's a proper pagan. Singing prayers to spirits, painting her kills in blood with heathen symbols.
Between you and me, priest, that doesn't seem quite right. Then again, she doesn't seem quite right. Something off in her head, I think. Perhaps her parents dropped her as a baby inbetween their bloody pagan orgies.
Still, as long as she's paying, I'm not going to tell her to stop buying me drinks.
