Relationship Note on Silas

Boss, need an escort when you go about your business? You're prime meat on the marriage market without your title, but -now-?

[It's noted the subject doesn't say anything discernible, mostly just cackles, snickers, chortles, and the like, with some syllables that sound like very vulgar, descriptive words.]

Boss is a silk now. Balls. The world really IS goin' to the Abyss in a handbasket now. Guess congratulatory measures an' further pranks are in order.

Kinky sex is generally like that, Lord Commander Silas. They'll recover, then you can have another pleasant evening with your friend.

Relationship Note on Silas

Th' Lord Commander of the Iron Guard. Th' big cheese ( that makes me hungry. Scholar, we allowed to bring food here. Sorry, sorry - ) and the boss man. He's got a lot on his plate, but he makes sure that we meet and talk regular. It keeps th' morale up, givin' us a chance to shoot the shit around while talking business. Weird thing is, yeah, he put up with it a lot more than he usually does. Makes me wonder if somethin's UP.

Relationship Note on Silas

I've been an Iron Guard for quite a while, and while I might not agree with all his decisions, I respect them and do the duties which I have been assigned. He is perhaps the best Lord Commander I've heard of in recent times, of any organization with hierarchal military structure. It's our duty to keep the peace, even with a siege happening, and as such, he has a lot to deal with, more than most might understand.

Relationship Note on Silas

I don't consider myself, in the general, a particularly prideful man.. I've an entirely laundry list of character flaws and defects, am passingly lazy when I can get away with it, am entirely discourteous and strongly fail to take things seriously when I should..but..even so, getting beaten so readily by the Lord Commander wielding what basically was a stick..that's simply depressing. Certainly he is an accomplished swordsman, but..I had hoped to fair better with my sword against his spear, especially considering he claimed to lack particular practice with the weapon..

I think I'll be spending more time in the training center..alas.

Relationship Note on Silas

Generous man. Loyal and reliable. Also, he had deep enough concern about my safety to fashion me armor and a bow.
He asked nothing in return for it. He wanted me to feel safe.
Then he also gifted me a bird perch for Butler and my other birds to come.
Three gifts.
I don't know yet what to give him in return. I'm so bad at this, friend thing.

Silas is a steadfast friend to my brother, and maybe to me?

Relationship Note on Silas

I don't think I'll ever know exactly why Everard decided to become... what he became... but Silas is as worthy a successor to the Lord Commander title as most anyone could have asked for, by my estimation.

Working with him during the time leading up to the battle of Pride Hall while the Crimson Blades were Iron Guard Auxillaries was enjoyable, and he didn't try to keep us longer than he needed to. I'd be happy to work with him again as it comes up during the siege.

Relationship Note on Silas

*A loose sketch: Drawn in wobbly lines and crude brush work: a gauntleted hand curling over the fingers of much smaller, unarmored hand. This second hand holds two rings on it. One has what might be a dragon in flight pressed on it. The other two crossed blades.*

Relationship Note on Silas

Ran into Silas on getting back into town today, which was more than a little fortuitous. It seems my cousin has done quite well for himself, and I finally got all the details I wanted to about what happened with Horatio. Poor kid. Gutsy, though. Have to admire that.

Relationship Note on Silas

The Lord Commander of the Iron Guard has led us through some rough times, but I am glad to have him around. He seems happy with my quite successful recruitment drive. Hopefully if I keep on with my training, I can eventually become a full Officer in their ranks to assist more.

Relationship Note on Silas

He may have still been in puberty when I was hitting the whiskey bottle with my friends and family in the Iron Guard, but his potential to be what the Guard needs to straighten itself out is what makes me certain that he will succeed.

So long as he keeps his head in service and his mind sharp as his blade, I shall look forward to my duties as liason between the Iron Guard and the King's Own.

Relationship Note on Silas

That the Lord Commander let me sign on is a sign of the times, though I'm certain he would tell me that I'm skilled and people in the lowers like me well enough. I will do what he asks of me and so far, I'm stunned that 'shut up' hasn't been in my daily orders.

He is stalwart, resilient. Someone we need as a Lord Commander of the Irons, with a great deal of common sense. The kind of person you want to work with and not against, whom compromise is his go-to weapon rather than his blade.

Relationship Note on Silas

As I dive deeper in to my responsibilities as Minister of Defense it is easy to get lost in priority and duty and become overwhelmed by the darkness that surrounds the task in my hands. Luckily, on this journey, I have encountered a few bright and shining lights to brighten the path and make it easier to traverse.

Sir Silas may be the brightest of them all. He shoulders the burden of responsibility with strength and dignity. I have the utmost faith in his ability to act swiftly and make changes where necessary. He inspires confidence in his subordinates and admiration in his peers. I am greatful the city has him as our Lord Commander of the Iron Guard.

My new boss, and someone who I think will be able to help me on my path as a Guardsman. So far he does not seem to dislike me, even if I am not the wisest when it comes to my actions. But I do try my best.
