Relationship Note on Lark

Surprisingly calm and rational princess, even if she did take delight in using turns of phrase to embarrass the abyss out of me for parts of the conversation. She is far more practical than many nobles I have met, and honestly, I think she was just grateful I wasn't trying to get into her pants. Skirt. Whatever she was wearing, I honestly don't remember. Point is, I think she will be a fine ally, once the siege is over and things can return to normal.

Relationship Note on Lark

~Written in Northlands Shav~
She has taken me on as her Protege, From what I understand this can be a very good thing for me. I thought it best to accept given the friendship between us as well as the numerous items she purchases from me and has commissioned. I look forward to seeing where this path leads..

Relationship Note on Lark

Scrupulous and shrewd, these are not negative terms in regard to the High Lord of House Grayson. Not to me. I worked with her loosely during my time in service to the King's Own and to her cousin, King Alaric Grayson IV. During that time I discovered that Princess Lark is both of these things, but much more. Now however I play the role of a vassal of House Bisland, who in turn is a vassal of House Grayson. The High Lord of Grayson gifted myself with a belt in recognition of my marriage to the Marquessa of House Deepwood. It conveyed a clear message and it is one which I appreciate.

Relationship Note on Lark

Her Grace, Crown Princess Lark Grayson, is a remarkable woman. There are few instances where I would ever wish to be caught between herself and Princess Cara again. Yet having born up under their scrutiny I feel more confident in my own cause. Her Grace has agreed to be a sponsor in the Order of the Golden Dragon and has drawn on Grayson funds to aid in the establishment of our headquarters. I look forward to working with her further in this and other matters.

Relationship Note on Lark

In some ways, I see my sister cares and a lot, not that I would like to see it shown in a way that reflects a past of indiscretion or the idea that I would delve into things better left closed. That idea of what I once needed to be washed away, cleansed by me but also cleansed before her and the rest of my family. I hope I have the will to accomplish this task and undo the terrible acts that have fallen under my name when it is spoken by others. No matter how good with a sword I may be.... This view others have of me has begun to weigh on my soul. I will redeem myself my little sister.

Relationship Note on Lark

We are so different, but we have a lot of the same understandings, the Crown Princess Lark Grayson and myself. I only hope that I can do right by her, as a Whisper and mayhap as a friend, in helping her wedding be something worthy of the joining of two houses and of the Princess of Bastion.

Relationship Note on Lark

Sometimes I hear other fealties boast about good their sailors are or how good their soldiers are or how good their horses are. And they are really good. I know that; I've fought as one of them. (Well, not the horse people. But Dumpling and I are starting to get along!!)

People tend to think -- Grayson, yeah. They're okay. They're pretty good. But people don't always recognize them as the force they are.

But I think that there might be some truth to the words "none greater" when Grayson is able to field even a team of hairdressers, make-uppers, and tailors, and do so with lightning-fast efficiency to deploy them in a stealth commando raid in the wee hours of the morning. It would have made any dozen of the commanders I've served under delirious with envy. I wouldn't want to be an army on the other end of that logistical mind.

There were even matching slippers!!

Without her help, I don't know that I'd have had the heart to face a meeting I was dreading. She's so thoughtful -- not just like, kind, although she is, even though you might not think, but she just THINKS about things. If I'm to be something more than I am, then I could probably stand to be a little more like her.

Relationship Note on Lark

She doesn’t smile as much as I’d like her to, and I think that’s a shame. Not that it’s my place to tell her how much or how often she should. When she does, though, I feel like a dog given a treat. It’s immensely satisfying, and the first thing on my mind is seeing it again.

I’m no trained jester, nor bard, but damn if I’m not willing to learn to be if it means I can catch another glimpse.

Relationship Note on Lark

Princess Lark and I have not had chance to interact as much as we should. Truth be told, most of the times we have me has been due to sets of unfortunate circumstances. Yet, every time I've been impressed by her grace and her pragmatism in what most likely would have shaken most others. Most others, but not her. I don't think I've seen this woman ever shaken and perhaps the closest moment was one of compassion for a friend, that I happened to witness from the outside in. I suspect this pragmatism of hers will serve her very well in the difficult times that await all of us.

Although, in the past, I used to catalogue her as another spoilt princess, of late she and I have come to an understanding.

Also, this is very important.

She is no longer a princess. She is now a High Lord.

Makes all the difference.

Relationship Note on Lark

As the Legate of Concepts as so spoken, I do embrace his wisdom that I acknowledge greater then my own.

Princess, I offer you my compassion and sincere hope that you return to the embrace of the Faith, and should you have any desire at all to speak to one such as I, then I will welcome that opportunity.

We are both children of the gods, and the Faith is both our salvation and our sanctuary. I understand that you may see an act of excommunication as a door closing, but I assure you, it is not. The Faith is open to you.

I will pray your return to the fold and if there is anything at all I can do to aide it with honor, I will do it.
