The riots took me by surprise. Well, I am not surprised they happened, I just didn't expect them to happen like /that/. I was in the Crimson Square, within the Seryn estate speaking with Iseulet when the riot began. I was not prepared for that. Well, mentally at least. Thankfully, my good gear and my training kicked in and helped me survive. The only blood that got on me was the blood of my enemy. It was delicious.

I hate the waiting. I know that it takes time to gather forces and to amass armadas. But, each day feels a bit heavier as I stare out to the horizon of the waters. Each day that passes, that fleet organizes itself for it's assault. I am eager to see them sink to the bottom of the sea.

I am pleased to say that I have been able to sell my first item that I have forged! It was a simple letter opener, but I took pride in it's creation. Evaristo saw a cupridium dagger that I created. I made him a new, flashy steel dagger with sapphires set within it! In exchange, he sent me a beautiful arm cuff. I have the perfect dress to wear with it one day.

I am going to open a new shop right next to Second Chances. It will be a place to sell the newly forged weapons I am going to create. It even has it's own forge in the back! I named the shop On the Edge for several reasons. I figured it was a play on words regarding weapons. But, the forge itself is situated right next to the cliff overlooking the Bay of Thrax! Of course, being in the Lowers, we all live our life on the edge. Ha!

Brother Felix is amazing. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but if I did, it is worth mentioning again. He has really helped me to learn smithing. His methods made it relatively easy to learn! I say relatively because it is difficult, but he makes it make sense. One day I will find a way to show him my appreciation even if he refuses anything I offer.

So. I have heard wise people say that idle hands bring trouble. I try to keep busy, but.. I get envious of the beautiful creations that crafters make. Like, Evaristo! His jewelry may not be made of the fanciest of materials, but they are so damned beautiful! Well. Since Torian makes leather, I figure I could make weapons. I do love a beautiful dagger! Anyways, I am completely honored that Brother Felix has taken me under his wing as my mentor. I have a lot to learn! I am actually excited. I can actually make some money too!

I tried to go to this Pravus party. I was barred from crossing the bridge. This was a complete surprise! Seems I am barred from the PRavus district. I have no idea why!

Commoner's Rights. This was something that was brought up at the last commoner's meeting. I am not sure I entirely understand what this means. Though, I /would/ like to see if something can be done about rogue guards taking justice into their own hands. We had enough of that underneath the reign of Lyseander Craw. Maybe something can be done to help the commoners of Arx to have a better justice system? Yes, I know the guard may have to use force in certain circumstances. You know if some loony dust-addled goon comes at them with a sword or something. I am glad Commander Silas helped to put an end to the rogue guards that were here, but what if it happens again? I don't want more dead people over minor offenses again.

Ras is a dolt. I hope he reads this. He doesn't like being called a dolt. I guess that is the nature of our relationship. In spite of his doltiness, I have seen him do good things for people. I have seen him shelter the hungry in the dead of winter, spending ever copper he earns in feeding them. I have seen him stand up and protect the underdog. Maybe if he stops being a dolt, then he will stop doing dolt actions like breaking sanctuary. I know there is a good side in him. I hope in his journey for redemption, he forgets how to be a dolt and learns how to become something greater.

A boy. I have made a tiny human. I named him Skander which means protector. I hope that one day he will rise up to protect. Though, /what/ he protects is up for debate! We do not know what the world will be like when he is old enough to protect anything.

I will soon be a mother. I think this is the most terrifying adventure I have yet to embark on. I am not a perfect person, but this child will not sleep on the streets. They will not go without shoes. They will have food in their belly. I will give this child a much better life than I ever had.

It is hard to discover the truth sometimes. You get conflicting answers. Then you discover that in finding the truth, one can put themselves in danger. You have to wonder if it is worth finding out the truth after all?

I am surprised I was elected to be on the Commoner's Council. It is actually quite exciting! I hope in this position I can actually make a difference in the Lowers. The others in the Council have so many amazing ideas. It's going to be a journey to implement the things being discussed! We think that first, we need to figure out what exactly the commoners want. What are their needs?

I am getting married. It is surreal! I never thought of myself as the type to get married. Yet, here I am. I am in love with a man who celebrates life. He encourages freedom. He has pulled me back from the edge of despair and showed me the light of life. I love him. I love my Ravna.
