Relationship Note on Laric

My husband had a hat party with our dog, a half a bottle of wine, and what appears to be the contents of a hitherto unknown canine tailor's shop.

I'm just imagining the face he's going to make when he realizes I wrote about this in a white journal and I can't stop giggling.

Relationship Note on Laric

Prince Laric is an Inquisitor, it's true, but he is also an honorable and honest man who I have become fortunate enough to call favored friend. His clarity of vision is inspiring and his company a pleasure albeit infrequently shared.

Relationship Note on Laric

Laric has been instrumental in constructing the court. While no inquisitor is trustworthy, perhaps this one can be trusted more than most.

Relationship Note on Laric

I see through you, Prince, no matter how much you wanted to hide it. More than an answer, you sought validation - an indication that you made the right choice.

You made the only choice.

Relationship Note on Laric

My husband is a very admirable man, I am finding. Though our match was made for the usual concerns of nobility -- alliance, the trading of asset and honor, that sort of thing -- I am discovering just how much I /like/ him. It's strange and delightful and, I must be honest, a great comfort to me. I have lost so much, but life is a continual series of surprises and changes to circumstance. I am blessed to have him in my life.

Relationship Note on Laric

He’s not quite the Inquisitor I had in mind, though I think that’s a pleasant surprise. I suppose he’s exactly the kind of Inquisitor I’d hoped to meet and build a relationship with, as I’ve no problem stating the obvious in their reputation being something a little less than pleasant.

But beyond that, he seems a legitimately good man, if our conversations, the work he does, and the wedding I attended are anything to go by. How a man that handsome could become an Inquisitor is beyond me. Maybe it’s a tool, they don’t expect him to be as capable because he’s so pretty.

I figure I’ll be spending a good deal more time with him in the future, in both official and casual settings. I’m happy about that.

Relationship Note on Laric

The High Inquisitor/Minister of Loyalty/Prince of Grayson is a busy busy man. I am honoured that he found time to talk to me, but I find myself with more questions coming out of the meeting.

Still a connection made, that cannot be bad.

Relationship Note on Laric

It is unusually gratifying to have a quiet conversation with a thoughtful and intelligent gentleman. Prince Laric seems to be very insightful, and I value his thoughts on matters serious and grave -- and his sense of humor on the same is equally appreciated. Once again, my good opinion of House Grayson is reinforced.

Relationship Note on Laric

After my bout of illness, I found myself in the presence of a man who seemed to know a great deal more than I did. And about a subject that I really ought to know more about. I even wanted to look into this particular topic of interest, I just haven't had the time for it. Seems to me, now I may finally have something to research this in at a more properly ability to do so. Which is good. Either way, I should pick his mind more.

Relationship Note on Laric

Cousin Laric was a grown man when I was still a little girl. He doesn't remember me all that well, but I used to wear a lot of pink and ribbons, so it is understandable. Maybe I could still wear pink ribbons along with my armor, but they would get frayed so quickly, so probably is a waste of time. Anyways, he didn't like my hugs. I think because I was stinky from running around in the Grayson grounds in my armor. That is how I am working on getting stronger.

Relationship Note on Laric

He better realize he owes me. I know that everyone talks about how it's not that important to shop and wear clothing that is just right.

I spent ALL NIGHT shopping and designing and rushing people to create Laric's items. Dagon is surely mocking my insistence that shopping is hard. Sometimes it is like war getting the right shade and the right design.

Laric better like it. I better be his favorite cousin now.

Relationship Note on Laric

The second Prince Inquisitor in my life, and they could not be more different from one another. Prince Laric has an easy way about him, willing to indulge a silly girl and her games, and brought a delicious brandy to share. That, alone, can endear someone to me, but he also proved to be a fantastic conversationalist. I do so love my Prince Inquisitors, but Prince Laric seems far more similar to me. That can be good, or that can be atrocious. Only time will tell.

Relationship Note on Laric

Prince Inquisitor Laric Grayson, who I had fashioned a rapier for, visited the shop recently. He was in poor shape, still nursing some injuries sustained in the melee. If I were a bolder woman, I would have scolded him to no end. My history with Grayson Inquisitors has not always been the best, but I found our first meeting to be markedly different than my first with Prince Gareth. Again, I find myself wondering if I am naive and believe everyone is honorable and true, and yet again hope I'm not a fool for it. He seems genuine, intent on doing his duties for House Grayson and the Inquisition as well as grateful for my skills fashioning his blade. I, in turn, am grateful for the fine apple brandy he delivered along with his kind words.

Relationship Note on Laric

I don't really believe Inquisitors are supposed to be charming. It doesn't fit that fearsome hooded stereotype that has people shrinking before their presence or what have you. Prince Laric proves to be the exception. Oh, I have no doubt he's probably more than capable at his job -- the more terrifying side that is. But he fits the role of Prince just as adeptly, which makes him terribly interesting company.

I first noticed him at the tournament, really, fighting among the others despite his team being slightly outnumbered and doing a rather impressive showing of it. He has some rather fascinating hobbies that certainly warrant notice.

Relationship Note on Laric

Yet another Inquisitor of House Grayson I have managed to befriend! I had approached him with an offer to join me in the Grand Melee to represent House Grayson, who was hosting the event. I tested his mettle, and while he clearly lacks the experience to stand long against the storied warriors of Arx, the man definitely has potential and natural toughness. I hope he doesn't let up in learning combat, but it may be a good thing to let him find his own pace.
