If it were possible for me to blush (I assure you it's not and anyone claiming to see such a thing is lying!) I would be blushing furiously at your praise for the Gilded Page. But let me take a moment to express my deep gratitude for the overwhelming support of those who enjoy the library. The spread of knowledge is a great example of what makes the Page so fulfilling for me. I am glad to hear you received the newest book and loved it as you did.
I know that will motivate the author to pen the second installment that much sooner and you shall receive the very first copy, on me.

Relationship Note on Kael
There is none more worthy of this new position than the Marquis Kael Keaton. There has been no other I have seen who displays true honor so constantly. I know great things will come from this.
Marquessa Reigna Keaton has been a steadfast and capable public figure since I have known her, and a willing teacher. She seems always ready to lend a hand, and not only to those of her fealty, but outside of it as well.
Finally, something that makes sense! I would send a present to mark the occasion, but they would just find a way to turn it back on me so graciously and charitably that I wouldn't even be able to complain!

The Whisper House's grand Elysian Ballroom has been reserved for The Gala! I couldn't possibly get much happier. It's such an inspiring and beautiful setting for our vision. The Gala Committee is hard at work, making it happen. If you see one of them, Marquessa Simone Greenmarch, Prince Niklas Grayson, Princess Coraline Thrax, Lady Margret Greenmarch, Countess Reigna Keaton, Goodman Theodoric Ulbran, Lord Alessandro Greenmarch, Lord Percephon Halfshav, and Princess Reese Grayson, please buy them a round or ten of whiskey! They're going to need it! AND they deserve it!

Relationship Note on Luca
There are two scholars I would trust with my life, who have done more than any other I have seen.
Scholar Wynna, the Lead Archivist. I do not say this because she is my protege (though she is, and a wonderful one at that) but because she has worked and continues to work tirelessly at the history of Arx, and brought to light many accounts that would have been lost. Without her, we would not have an entire retelling of the recent Pirate War, nor any number of other volumes. She is a font of dedication and wisdom.
The second is Lord Percephon Halfshav. His ability to tease out the solution to a problem is second to none. He is one of those people you may trust to be steady in a dire situation. He has likely helped to save the people of Arx on a great many occasions, and he can keep a secret (I don't know if people realize how rare that truly is) better than any I've met. And he knows /so damned much/! He's got a bit of a death wish, too, which helps on perilous adventures.

More than half the things we start, we probably wouldn't if we knew more about them before we started. Things that seem like brave adventures at the time, a bit of sport or excitement, that become so much more. That's how it begins. And then all of a sudden, you're living out stories you've only read about, doing things you'd never dreamed. And there are so many chances to turn back. But you don't. Because if you did, then what would you have to remember?

I'm planning the First Annual Gilded Page Literary Competition!
The categories will be Fiction and Non-Fiction and of course there will be prizes! Spectacular prizes!
One submission per author and pre-published books are acceptable for submission. There will be no mystery authors allowed in this particular competition, though authors' names will be kept a secret (at least by me) until the competition concludes.
The judging will be done by popular vote. Anyone may come into the Gilded Page and cast their vote for their favorite tome when the competition official starts, until its conclusion!
Copies of ALL books submitted to the competition will be available for purchase during the contest, with all proceeds donated to the Faith, as per the Gilded Page's usual policy.

The wedding celebration of Lord Alessandro and Lady Margret Greenmarch was every bit as wonderful as I knew it would be. The care they put into the festivities was evident, and their love warmed everyone this winter's eve.
The skating rink was a particular success. If you've never seen Bliss Whisper ice skate? You really ought to.
All in all, it was a wonderful way to honor the love of two very deserving people and welcome Alessandro to the family officially.

The Gilded Page was broken into and a number of books stolen. I offer a reward of 10000 silver to anyone with information leading to an arrest. If you'd like to try your hand at solving this crime, come by the library to read some bad poetry.
