Yesterday, I had the greatest of pleasures in meeting Paladin Leola again, and this time I got to really spend time with her and talk about many things. Though most pertaining to animals and the forest. She was exceedingly kind and generous, and helped me further my education and knowledge with animals. To the point where I am not sure it can go much further and for that I am most grateful. And in turn I was able to share with her some of my knowledge of the forests and wilderness with her. Started to teach her how to read the weather. In the end she invited me to join the Lodge of Petrichor and I happily accepted. I could not be more thrilled with this then well... I really have no words. I am rather full of excitement over it.

You have always been kind and thoughtful, in everything I have seen you do. I do not think what you are trying to do is in the wrong, your desire to want to help them is in the right place. And sometimes we are not always successful in helping others, but I think... no feel, that if you feel that trying to explain to this person that their view is misunderstood and that doing so will help them further in life, then you should do so. I trust in your ability to gauge if your actions are right and for the better good of others. But if you are questioning it, then remember that I believe in you and so does Kael. And many others.
In the end you should do what you think is best, and remember we stand with you! And you are a wonderful person full of good.

I was apparently boar-napped while out hunting with friends earlier this week. I don't recall it, but Gaston told me all about it later after they got me back and I was awake.

Bacon Picnic was, as I knew it would be, AMAZING! The best day ever, really. Spent with truly the best of friends anyone could ever ask for. And so many snow people and critters were made. After we made sure Eirlys was covered with many blankets and warm after she passed out. I think Gaston even sketched a picture of her sleeping. Next time I think we will do a day trip outside the city and do some shield-sledding!
Also, so much bacon! For days! All the sandwiches we will have for the Archery competition tomorrow!

Sometimes life brings people into your life that you were not expecting or even looking for and then BOOM! And you walk smack into them, not literally, but that probably would have made it all the funnier if I had.
But, no really, thank you for putting me on this path, even with the past that still clings and I can't quite shake off. These possibilities and the people that I have met make it all the more worth dealing with it.
And I am just thankful for finding them.

I'm pretty sure we had a, 'Did we just become best friends?' moment recently. This is going to be AMAZING! This is the best day EVER!
I hope he doesn't mind if I follow him around and talk his head off, cause it's going to happen. And soon enough I will turn into the annoying little sister that constantly talks and never stops. But I will be sure to bring bacon for Alis. I promise! Also, she is just as amazing too!

I was speaking with Valery about her new perfume scents and that lead to talking about scents I like.
One of them I am sure will get me odd looks, but I love the smell of dog. But I suppose that comes with pretty much growing up in the kennels back home at Oakhaven and sleeping out in the woods on hunts with my pack. It becomes a comforting sort of scent, one that you just grow used to and it is always there.
And now it's not. And I find I miss it a lot, it is harder to sleep. The change in sounds from here in Arx compared to home is different too. I will eventually grow used to it.
I also like the smell of a forest after it rains, something so calm and refreshing about it.

I saw my first duel today.
I'm told having Champions fight duels is quite common amongst other Oathlands ladies, but I was never your typical Oathlands lady I suppose.
It was a touch strange at first, seeing two warriors raise live steel to one another outside of mortal combat.
I suppose if I look at it as an issue in the pack, it seems more familiar. Two hounds settling a matter of dominance through a fight. Though even then, they rarely fight to draw blood, so as to not make the pack weak.
In the end, they both put for a good showing to Gloria, and for their Houses.

I can't express enough how delighted I am that I met Eirlys. I hope she realizes she just made a new friend, that might drive her mad, but hopefully, it is the good mad! She is going to introduce me to Kieran too, her War Elk, and teach me how to ride one. And even help me get one if I decide I would like one!

Gaston would fit in well in Oakhaven. He should be less worried about being part of the pack, too. Though perhaps it would be best if he formed his own pack. Titus is a very good start to that. I can see that he is well cared for and loved. That says a lot.

I arrived in Arx yesterday evening, and was so happy to have gotten to see my cousins, Kael, Lorien, and Reigna! Having them here will make it less lonely and strange. I'm going to miss home, the forests, all the hounds, the people. My friends. But helping my family is important, and I want to help us grow and show the other houses just how skilled we are when it comes to training hounds, and how good of huntsmen we are too.
Part of me wishes I had brought one of my hounds with me, but it was better to leave them. I had already broken up our pack enough, there was no need to do so further. But! Gaston has kindly agreed to let me help in training his wolfhound, Titus. I am very happy for that. And Eirlys has offered to teach me to ride a WAR ELK! I am so excited about that. I am very glad I met both of them. Not only do I have my family, but I have already made some friends here.
