One cannot help but marvel at the creativity and novelty of the Oathlands in the textile industry and the diversity it brings to the markets all around Arvum.

The Masquerade on the Valardin grounds was exceptionally impressive! I felt underdressed for the first time in my life! Everyone was so festive. One of them was wearing so many items made of starlight silk that I think the market has run out! Reading the whites before I am writing this, I'm beginning to suspect it was my cousin, Princess Gwenna.
It was a lovely affair and the food was magnificent and there was something mischievous in being unknown. I enjoyed myself.

It is quite easy to let one rotten apple spoil the whole barrel. I would rather open the barrel, take out one apple at a time, shine those who are still hard and crisp and root out the rotten one.

I understand the way to examine things is look at them closely, feel them, smell them, taste them.
It amazes me however how people are not concerned about letting things they are unfamiliar with into their mouths.

As we explored some of our more remote grounds we came upon the Grayhill mansion, wonderful founds there, interesting as well considering how well they have been preserved for centuries. Yes scholar, centuries. I have collected some invaluable pieces for the Artshall Museum - including a few family portraits, all with single heads, old journals and letters.
Scanning the rooms outside the mansion, I came upon some tools of those who served the family, including the rooms that belonged to the family seamstress. There were weird metals there measuring body sizes. I might have tried one on. I might have gotten stuck in it on the ride home.
That's what I get for traveling in a wagon. Too much space. Traveling stuck in a metal contraption for several hours was not very enjoyable. Next time you see ancient tools of seamstresses, do not try it on! Still, I managed not to break it and deliver it to where the museum items are kept.

The intial presentation of the Art & Culture District has been complete. Funds were raised to support the art and offer more artists their place in the galleries as well as the ability to attend the school once it is opened, which is a very exciting concept for the young and old as one.
My sincere gratitude goes out to those who traveled all the way to Artshall to attend in hopes they enjoyed their stay in the city as well as to all those who aided me in making the night as lovely as it was and with the project as whole, particularly Princess Denica, Master Jareth, Mistresses Caprice and Aconite and the Nightingale Gianna, who offered a rare performance.
Many of the items showcased in the fashion tent has been sold, procceeds went to charity for the Honey Havens.
And those which were not sold? I suppose I shall have to 'endure' wearing them myself.

I have taken it upon myself to renovate some of the rooms in the Laurent mansion and have decided to get new furniture. After the beautiful clavichord he has constructed for me, I set my mind and quill toward Master Zakhar at the Emporium of Curiousity and I was not disappointed.
Beautiful craftsmanship unlike any other, tailored specifically to what I required. Elegant yet decorative and impressive.
I am grateful for all the artisans of the city, such abundance, such talent, such joy.

It has been a very long week, scholar, and yet it flew by like it only had a couple days in it. Between the arrival of the new fabrics to the city and the endless preparations to the Art District Gala in Artshall, I can barely find myself time to sit.
Auditions to be held, performers to be found, gowns to be designed, musicians to select and food. I must not forget the food.
I am grateful for the assistance of those who are part of the project: Master Jareth for arranging the plays, the artists that donated items to the exhibitions, Mistress Caprice for arranging the prayer and stitching energetically for the fashion show and Master Claude who created the most beautiful limited edition toys. I am likely forgetting many names.
