I think we talked one about the art of mystery. We common folk have that freedom you know, the peerage comes from a place and has a name and that's supposed to mean something. Crownsworn born up from the mud, don't have no expectations. We can be whatever we can make ourselves to be. I happen to make myself a mystery. Keeps life flexible.

And since I have gotten into the vaguely way-back wagon, or am simply feeling generally nostalgic, I need to mention the first gift of jewelry I received while in Arx. A stunning pair of silver disc earrings carved with dragonflies and snapdragon flowers, a gift from the Guildmaster some time before she was Guildmaster and I may have even known how to bend high quality steel. I have worn them since and love them. Recently, she gifted me again - another pair of silver earrings with that exceptional Gemecittan quartz that boasts such a variety of hues! I love them as much as the first pair.

The Guildmaster is a wonderful friend, and I find my own self hoping that she comes back and creates more new things eventually. I quite like the designs that she comes up with. When I came back and settled in from the war, she helped me with acclimating back in. She supports all of us within the Guild well.

I say we sit in our rocking chairs drinking whiskey and yelling at the new apprentices that come by to get off our lawn. Not that that'd be /new/, necessarily, but we could get a lot drunker if we're not going to do work later!
