It’s my sorrow to say I didn’t know Brother Martin well. I crossed his path a handful of times in the shrines. Keeping the place tidy, sharing a kind word with all who came, and just keeping the Faith strong in small, intangible ways. I have heard from Sir Jeffeth and Sir Andry and so many others of his impact on the lives of children, orphans who found their place with the Solace. His work made so many people better and more fulfilled, sometimes in such small ways they did not even realize its impact at the time. He is the best of what I think godsworn can be, and what a true hero is without bluster or hubris or grubbing for glory, and I’ll do my best to remember his example.

Violet had arrived with Thorley and a young girl between them. The six year old yelps with glee as soon as she sees the rabbits and Violet lets her choose their sitting. Though he expression is solemn there is a faint smile at the little girls antics.

Thorley is providing the escort for Violet and the girl, Tala. Taking a seat next to his wife, his hands settle in his lap to take a somber watch, settling his hand in hers.

Rinel glances somewhat nervously at Grandmaster Thena, and the House of Solace itself, but shakes her head and straightens her back. The scholar is standing tall and proud. The effect is somewhat ruined by her arm in a sling and her hand in a splint.

Sir Alren arrives, following Bianca.

Teonia Redreef, Aryka Wyrmfang, 3 Thrax Guards, Marquessa Pudding, a pudgy puppy arrive, following Sorrel.

While a space has been cleared with benches and an elevated platform in the middle of Solace Square, the usual business of the Knights of Solace goes on in the background though with a respectful hush: the distribution of food and water to weary travelers and the setting up of tents for them to rest in. Knights of Solace in formal armor, resplendent in gold, silver and white, stand at attention. Solace acolytes and Disciples of Gild show attendees to the benches.

Next to the platform on a sturdy bier is a simple wooden coffin, but it is draped in a magnificent length of gold and silver-embroidered aeterna.

Teonia Redreef, Aryka Wyrmfang, 3 Thrax Guards, Marquessa Pudding, a pudgy puppy leave, following Sorrel.

Bianca stepped into the square, and seeing Jeffeth already seated she in turn moved to join that particular seating area. Her greeting to the pair already seated there was a quiet and somber nod before the Archscholar settled as well.

Bianca has joined the Solace Square seating 1.

Alexandre has joined the Solace Square seating 1.

Violet rakes her eyes across the crowd. As she does she spies a familiar and tall woman. For a moment there is a smile and then she spots the bandaging and frowns instead. Violet moves to sit on the end of the bench nearest the bunny hutch. It lets her keep an eye on Tala, the little girl more interested in bunnies than the somber events.

Harlex walks in his steady gait with the slow considered movements of his eyes. He stops to regard the scout, Rowenova, beside him and tips his head, "Nova. We ought to find a seat for you." He said, quietly, though that was his natural state of speaking his tone reflected the more subdued occasion. The grim-faced mercenary looked Violet and Thorley's way, tipping his head in recognition.

Gabriel makes his way into Solace Square, followed only by two guards dressed in simple Bisland livery. He finds a place to seat himself, though his eyes do drift towards the coffin upon the bier. Upon seeing it, the former regent gives a respectful bow of his head, folding his hands together, perhaps in offer of a private prayer for the deceased.

Esoka comes to the Square as folks are assembling for the service. She tries to catch Thena's eye briefly, to offer a deep bow of her shoulders, before finding a seat.

Cassandra arrives from the west, the sunset reflecting off of her white robes. She moves towards the benches where the service is about to take place, and settles down without further fanfare.

Cassandra has joined the Solace Square seating 2.

Jared, an overworked-looking, nervous Apprentice Whisper arrives, following Bliss.

Sparte takes a place standing near the rear of the gathering, looking over the heads of the others seated for the ceremony. He takes a practiced guard's stance, respectfully at attention as he watches the proceedings.

Esoka has joined the Solace Square seating 2.

Sparte has joined the Solace Square seating 3.

Gabriel has joined the Solace Square seating 3.

Thena is standing between the bier and the platform, watching as people filter in and take their seats. While her air is one of quiet contemplation, she lifts a hand briefly to Esoka and nods a a few others as she prepares to start the service.

Harper slips in and makes her way quietly over to a bench. Spotting Esoka she heads toward her to sit next to her, but pauses on her way to give Thena a respectful nod.

Rowenova shows up alongside Harlex and nods back, "Probably a good idea," says the slow scout with her boar spear (up ended) which she uses as walking stick, moving along, "How about by your Commandant?" as she nods forth toward the adorable bunnies.

Harper has joined the Solace Square seating 2.

Bliss has joined the Solace Square seating 1.

Rinel looks around and drifts towards Sparte, standing next to the man and folding her left arm behind her back.

Rinel has joined the Solace Square seating 3.

Rosalie has joined the Solace Square seating 1.

3 Armed Confessors, Confessor Jayson, 1 Grayson House Guards, Confessor Wick, Confessor John, Confessor Burne arrive, following Gareth.

3 Armed Confessors, Confessor Jayson, 1 Grayson House Guards, Confessor Wick, Confessor John, Confessor Burne leave, following Gareth.

Alexandre and Rosalie arrive together, the former clad in the elegant steel plate of Blancbier style, the breastplate inscribed with his personal sigil. His helm is kept off, platinum hair reaching his shoulders, while he guides Rosalie to one of the seated areas.

Etienne has joined the Solace Square seating 1.

Thena takes her place on the platform, dressed in black silk robes with white and gold trim and her hair falls in loose waves down her back. She waits a moment, scanning the crowd with dark eyes and clasping her hands in front of her. Her gold Pantheon ring and the string of prayer beads around her wrist catch the light. Finally, she speaks.

As some of you may have read in my white journals, and those of others, Brother Martin Risby was a man deeply involved in the Faith. He was a sworn Brother, a teacher, a guide, and a father figure to many of the orphans who grew up in the Lowers. Before that he traveled Arvum as a Knight of Solace for many years, adding to his wisdom and experience. As a soldier in the Faith Militant he witnessed the Tor-Southport War, the Tyde Rebellion, the Tragedy at Sanctum, the Silent War and all the troubles since then."

Bliss is quiet as she approaches the square, taking a look around before moving quickly to join Jeffeth, reaching out to lightly touch his shoulder before she steps off to the side, giving him and others space.

Teonia Redreef, Aryka Wyrmfang, 3 Thrax Guards, Marquessa Pudding, a pudgy puppy arrive, following Sorrel.

Teonia Redreef, Aryka Wyrmfang, 3 Thrax Guards, Marquessa Pudding, a pudgy puppy leave, following Sorrel.

Rosalie quietly follows Alexandre to the seating he chooses, though she offers a solemn nod to Gabriel along the way. A mute greeting before the start of a somber event. Seating herself, she sends Alexandre a fleeting smile before arranging her features into an appropriate expression and facing forward.

Harlex looks that way and then back to Rowenova. He nods and moves silently across the grounds toward Violet and Thorley and their child. The sellsword refrains from speaking but inclines his head again, almost apologetic, as if he disturbed the couple. He turns to listen as Thena begins to speak.

Harlex has joined the around the bunny hutch.

Rowenova has joined the around the bunny hutch.

Violet glances up at Harlex and gives him a somber smile and nod. A hand gestures to the seat beside them, but she doesn't say anything. Instead her attention is partly on Thena, mostly on Tala. Who has glanced up casually at Thena. Then back to bunnies.

Cabbit, a nub-tailed tabby kitten, Laudine, a stern middle-aged maidservant arrive, following Tabitha.

Thena continues, "He embraced every aspect of Gild, but particularly the one we know her best for, charity. He worked tirelessly in the Lowers to provide the orphans with care, affection and learning. His influence can be seen in many of the current Knights of Solace. I would like to invite two of the men he cared for to speak at this time. Sir Jeffeth Bayweather, Sir Andry Bayweather, will you come up?"

Tabitha slips quietly into the crowd and stays silent.

Rowenova tiny waves to the joined trio (Violet, Tala, Thorley) then settles down next to Harlex, doing so very carefully. Her boar spear she rests beside her before simply gazing forth toward the ongoing ceremony.

Jeffeth and Andry Bayweather show up in Solace Square together for the service. As they pass by the gathering crowd, the brothers greet their Solace family and friends, and take a seat together on a bench closest to the platform. It's here where they sit quietly, both clean dressed for the service of their father and keeping quiet as the Grandmaster speaks. Then once they're addressed, the brothers stand up and makes their way to the stand.

Tabitha is overheard praising Alexio.

Thena steps out of the way, letting the brothers Bayweather take the position of prominence on the platform.

Andry Bayweather inhales a long, slow breath to help center his thoughts and then exhales silently as he lifts his gaze. This is harder than he had expected it would be, so it takes him a moment to begin. With a glance toward Jeffeth, the words are soon breathed to life as he addresses the folks gathered round. "I had a birthday a few days ago and I spent the majority of it thinking of Martin. Every year, without fail, he would visit me and bring me a basket of my favorite confections and something new to read, usually a book he picked up from his travels. Then he would sit with me and we'd talk about anything and everything." A pause follows and Andry lowers his gaze once again. "I never knew how much I would miss listening to his sage advice." It takes him a moment, but soon he lifts gray eyes and continues. "To me, Martin's finest quality was his patience. He had an inherent ability to listen, to absorb and to offer a point of view based on quiet, measured wisdom. He never once judged his rebellious son," A beat, "The short one, not the tall one." There's faint humor etched in the tone of his voice. "In fact, Martin was excellent at picking his battles. He always told me, 'If you can't be good, be careful.'" A small smile curves Andry's lips as he recollects those moments, though it soon fades. "I'll always be grateful for Martin taking a chance on two orphans from the Lowers." He then cants a look up at Jeffeth again. "Martin was family." Finally, Andry looks at those gathered around him. "He was loved more than words can express, and he is dearly missed." And then as if Martin can hear him, "I love you, Grandpa. I will see you again someday..." The younger Bayweather falls silent again, stepping back once he's finished speaking so his brother can begin.

Well that did it. Violet had been keeping a fairly somber mask in place. But between one blink and the next tears begin to fall down her cheeks and she reaches for her pouch and kerchief there.

Jeffeth lumbers behind Andry, the clink clanks of his polished steel armor muted somewhat more than they normally are. Jeffeth's features as to be expected, are somber and muted. There is a slight hitch in his steps when his eyes fall over the bunny hutch, and those gathered around it, a frown forming for a moment, and then Jeffeth is twisting his neck to more doggedly pursue his brother. Following Andry up to the platform, the bigger Bayweather takes a step back, and clasps his hands while Andry speaks.

"Tala. Come here." Thorley's voice is quiet, and sure. "You need to listen to this." The knight keeps his timbre firm, but understanding as he watches to make sure the girl settles back down for now.

Deliverance, an albino falcon, Rascal, a hyper terrier, Rosalie, a lady in waiting arrive, following Reese.

From under the muzzle shade of her wolf pelt, Rowenova slightly narrows her cobalt blues after Jeffeth's frown, but then she pulls down the wolf mask, her shadowed eyes peering out through the eye holes of the wolf face.

Sparte lowers his head, eyes downcast as he listens to Andry speak. He nods every so often, his expression remaining solemn.

Reese has joined the around the bunny hutch.

Esoka exchanged a few soft words with Harper and Cassandra, but throughout the service - and the words by the Bayweathers - she's silent. Face grave, chin bowed a touch respectfully, a mist coming into her blue eyes.

Jeffeth checked composure at difficulty 15, rolling 8 lower.

Jeffeth checked willpower at difficulty 15, rolling 3 higher.

As Andry finishes, Jeffeth steps forward and raises one large hand to settle over his shoulder. A brief squeeze is given before Jeffeth steps forward on the platform. There's a few awkward moments as the large knight slowly looks around at all the eyes focused his way. Those deep ocean blues flicking from face to face, the steel breastplate over his chest beginning to rise and fall at an accelerated rate. The man who has been seen carrying individuals up and down mountains breaks a sweat as he just stands there. Pursing his lips hard.

It seems at first, as if he has difficulty with his hands. His gauntlets float up for a moment, then lower back down. He doesn't know what to do with his hands. And it seems to be a task that is distracting him for a while, as the awkward moments of silence continue, as he who is /supposed/ to be speaking, just stands on the platform, floundering a bit. Eventually, as the sweat begins to go down either side of his crown, Jeffeth clears his throat, deciding to clasp his hands in front of him. His mouth opens and nothing comes out, he tries again and there is a broken high pitched voice at first that eventually smoothes out into Jeffeth's deeper normal bass. "Martin liked cake."

Thena checked composure at difficulty 15, rolling 8 higher.

Tabitha checked composure at difficulty 15, rolling 9 lower.

Bliss checked composure + etiquette at difficulty 25, rolling 3 lower.

Andry checked composure at difficulty 15, rolling 22 higher.

Harlex checked composure at difficulty 15, rolling 17 higher.

Gabriel checked composure at difficulty 15, rolling 2 higher.

Gabriel nods his head slowly after Jeffeth's utterance, as though the man could well understand, and sympathize.

Reese checked composure at difficulty 15, rolling 4 lower.

Rowenova sits up a little bit after Jeffeth's words and in her Northern voice, shouts over with a curious tone, "What kind?" She does not laugh because it is a serious question. Maybe, it might even help spur on more words from the knightly man, if he can just get started.

Thorley checked composure at difficulty 15, rolling 2 higher.

Although Tabitha remains silent, she nonetheless dabs her fingers along the skin of her lower eyelids. Then she clasps her hands together in front of her waist, sniffing in a small breath before she returns to quietly watching from within the crowd.

Thena stands with her head bowed as Andry speaks, which makes it convenient that no one can see her face. But when it's Jeffeth's turn and he falters, she looks up, mildly startled, and reaches out to very lightly touch his shoulder.

She really should be better at this. She's a Whisper. But the sheer sympathy that had been on Bliss's face falters as she hears those words from Jeffeth, and there's - a rather unfortunate sound that comes from her, her hand coming up to cover her mouth and hide it, an apology in her eyes as she turns her head away, pretending to cough.

Reese tries to be very composed and calm as she watches Jeffeth, but she isn't. She sucks in a soft breath and then another seemingly moved by his sorrow and also troubled. The guilt and sadness in her expression is easy to pick up upon and her golden lashes are damp.

2 House Velenosa Guards, 3 Armed Confessors arrive, following Alistair.

Esoka makes no attempt to remain stone-faced - she rarely is anyhow - especially as Jeffeth soldiers through speaking of Martin. She gives into sniffling. She's a messy crier, burying her face in a handkerchief, but she has no particular vanity about such.

Harlex sits with his arms folded close over his chest, and watches the knight as he sweats it out and then, after a drag of silence, speaks. He keeps his harsh eyes on Jeffeth. He turns, briefly to Rowenova, and holds a finger to his lips; shaking his head gently.

Harper keeps her eyes glued on the knights as they speak, listening closely to all of their words. Her usually cheerful demeanor is far from it today, with pain and upset clearly echoed on her face instead. Yet no tears have fallen, despite the somber expression, until Jeffeth gets up. Then tears swim, unshed in her eyes and she just lowers her head quietly not saying a word.

Violet sits silent. Weeping. As Tala slides from Thorley's lap into hers she wraps an arm around the little girl. Who seems only a little unsure about the crying. So she presses the plushy lion she holds to give 'kisses'. That has her looking down with a weak smile at the girl and giving her a hug.

Thorley manages to keep himself composed, barely, but when Violet breaks down. And his arms encircle Violet and Tala, holding his small family to him tightly.

Andry turns toward Jeffeth and moves closer to his brother when he senses a wavering in the man's demeanor. He looks up at him, nodding his encouragement before turning toward the crowd to answer Rowenova, "Martin liked them all." A hand then pats Jeffeth's arm to help him feel a little better about standing in front of the crowd, though he does give him a little space -- but not /too/ much in case he needs to steer him back to the platform~

Hoods are seen at the edges of Solace Square. Why are the agents of the Inquisition here? Perhaps to keep an eye on things? Make sure nothing goes amiss? No one spills any secrets? Its hard to tell, their presence isnt very in the face of those who have come to honor the fallen priest. The High Inquisitor watches from a distance, quiet and solemn as the moment requires.

Rowenova grunts softly but slightly bows her wolf face to Sir Andry before then sitting up all over again and peering out through the eye holes of it.

Cassandra is somber-faced, but she's a woman of rare smiles to begin with so this isn't much of a change from her usual expression. As Esoka begins sniffling she reaches over to give her a few awkward pats on the back in an attempt to be comforting. Thump thump thump.

Pulling up his tabard, Jeffeth dabs at the sweat at his brow. Wiping a tad furiously until lowering it. There is a long pause after Jeffeth states that Martin liked cake. As if that was just going to be it. Then someone asks what kind of cake, Jeffeth looks up from his fidgeting. And without being able to tell who it was, answers. "All kinds." The big man rumbled. "He really liked cake. I'm not sure if he even had a favorite. I never saw him turn down any kind of cake. He always took extra, and got me extra, and acted like it was a secret. I used to think he was doing it for me, but as I've gotten older, I feel like he was doing it for him." The big man just stares out into the crowd, blinking a few times. There's a slow breath taken.

"Martin wasn't perfect. He ate too much cake. He was always willing to help, even when perhaps sometimes maybe he shouldn't have." A slow breath is taken. "He was just an old man." His voice cracks a little bit at that last, glancing down. His gauntlets tighten around each other.

"But Martin, quiet as he was, old as he was, full of cake as he was, was the wisest man I've ever met. I'm not just saying that because you're supposed to say nice things about people when they're gone. Martin knew what people needed. If someone said something to me, that was mean, maybe I'd get angry. But Martin, he knew that person was saying what they said because they hurt or..." He releases his gauntlet to wave his hand dismissively. "The most important thing to Martin was helping those that were hurt. His pride never would have got in the way of that, nothing would have ever got in the way of that. It couldn't have." A slow breath is taken. "Whether they were hurt on their flesh or hurt in their heart, Martin would know when to help, and know when to hold back." He purses his lips, before taking another deep breath.

A tear or two starts to drop over his cheeks. "All I'm saying is. It's a shame he's gone. And we'd probably have a better place around here if more of us tried to be like him." Jeffeth finishes in a rush, turning around, his breathing accelerated, face turning red, he makes his slightly hurried escape towards Andry.

Bianca checked composure at difficulty 15, rolling 5 lower.

It was rare the Archscholar was moved to emotion beyond the serenity of her usual being, but as Jeffeth proceeded with his words even she was taken by the wiles of emotional reaction. Bianca's brow flexed, expression growing darkened by the subtle knitting of her brow and for the first time since the service began her pale gaze fell downcast to the bare fold of her hands in her lap.

Even if he might not see it becaues he escapes now, Rowenova slightly bows the wolf face toward Sir Jeffeth, too, then sits up. She says no more for now.

Sparte takes a slow deep breath, looking up at Jeffeth when they finish and watching him head over to Andry. There is a reflective melancholy in Sparte's expression, but not tears. After a short while he turns his gaze from Jeffeth to one of the nearby streetlamps and lets it linger there.

Harlex takes in a breath and clears it, slowly, through his nostrils. He turned his head away to look off at one of the dancing braziers in dusk of the Square. A thought which shadows his features captures him and he is lost for a time, elsewhere. But at last he looks again to the wooden coffin, the podium and knights in their departure.

"Thank you, Andry. Thank you, Jeffeth. You have given us all such a...true picture of Brother Martin." She steps back up to the front of the platform as the pair of Knights leave it, and there's a long pause before Thena speaks again. No she does not sounds sniffly how dare you.

"As we learn more about the history of the Silver Order, we find the same story again and again and again...sacrifice for others. During the Reckoning, Lilah Shay, the Silver and our Founder, sacrificed herself to save the refugees, the infirm, the wounded, the non-combatants and hundreds of children who sought safety in Arx. Others served and fell at her side, many of whom served Gild. That battle took place here, where we stand.

The Knight Sandrine, Saver of Children and Sword of Solace, stood guard over the orphanage and abbey at Morning Mist Hill. When the abbey was attacked, she fought for days on end against an implacable foe, and comforted the frightened children at night. Finally she triumphed, but at the cost of her own life.

And Grandmaster Donovan Valardin of the Knights of Solace, who, with his company, were trapped behind enemy lines with two thousand refugees, sick and wounded during the Elven War. For two days they held the line, until Queen Alarice and her army could reach them. We are told that the Grandmaster perished in the battle, but asked that his account be delivered to the Archives should his Knights ultimately prevail. And it was."

Thena pauses to take a deep breath, composing herself before continuing. "Brother Martin died saving a child. Protecting her from a truly terrible fate." Her eyes light on Tala briefly, over by Grandmaster Armel's bunnies. "And in protecting her, he also saved the lives of many others. The helpless, the defenseless. The Tragedy that night became a battlefield, and through his grace and faith, Brother Martin struck out at the darkness and overcame it. He gave his life to accomplish this.

So it is here that we honor him, not just in the place associated with the Knights of Solace, but on the very spot where Silver willingly gave her life that others might live. From her sacrifice our Order was formed. And in his sacrifice, Brother Martin honors her and the many other heroes of the Silver Order. We were, and are, blessed to have known him and served with him.

As Arx endures, we will remember.

Violet isn't even bothering to hold back her tears. Lips are set into a tight line sne she leans against Thorley, eyes closed. It's an uncommon public display of emotion for the Commandant.

Gabriel is overheard praising Thena: A fine service for a fine man of the Faith.

Anticipating the rush of movement, Andry collects his brother into a hug and keeps him there until he knows the big man has calmed down some. When things seem to feel better, the younger Bayweather hands his brother a handkerchief to use for those trickling tears. He whispers words of encouragement and straightens as Thena begins to speak, glancing up and over at Jeffeth to make sure he's hanging in there.

Reese is overheard praising Thena: A service to honor Brother Martin

There might have been a quiet, strangled, sob from by the bunny hitches.

Gabriel is overheard praising Andry: Well spoken words from a son to his father.

Reese is overheard praising Jeffeth: I am sorry for his lose - Jeffeth and Martin are both fine knights of the Solace.

Reese is overheard praising Andry: Well said, a fine knight

Gabriel is overheard praising Jeffeth: An obvious outpouring of love for someone all of Arx should miss.

Esoka grunts some unintelligible thanks to Cassandra. Not that she seems fussed by crying, really. Jeffeth gets a deep bow of her shoulders as he finishes. All respect.

When Thena glances over to where the Sandreefs sit quietly, Thorley straighten, one arm holding Violet. His other hand reaches to hold Tala's shoulder, and the Sword bows his head in deference and gratitude to the Dame of Solace before closing his eyes to try to protect them or comfort them or some combanation of the two.

Alistair is overheard praising Martin(rip): Be remembered.

Reese is overheard praising Solace: A great org of heroes

Violet is overheard praising Martin(rip): His sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Gabriel is overheard praising Martin(rip): The sacrifice was worth it, though the loss hurts so many.

Harlex is overheard praising Jeffeth: An honest heart.

Gabriel is overheard praising Solace: Living up to the memory of those who came before them.

Violet is overheard praising Solace.

Sparte is overheard praising Martin(rip): I will not forget

Reese is overheard praising Martin(rip): A true hero

Thorley is overheard praising Martin(rip): His sacrifice added to my purpose.

"And now we offer a prayer to the Mother of Beginnings, you began this soul a bright spark in this man, and he shone with promise. You wove him into this life, and he lived it to the fullest in his time upon this world.

Pray with me, Faithful, for his ending, as all things must end, so that they may begin again.

Brother Martin Risby lived in service to the gods and died in sacrifice. He honored the gifts of each god, living the promise of Death, the protection of Petrichor, the joyous freedom of Mangata, the creativity of Jayus, the charity of Gild, the loyalty of Limerance, the honor of Gloria, the progress of Lagoma, the conviction of Skald and the righteousness of the Sentinel.

This was a life that was full, a story that was woven with the love of others, the dignity of the Faith, and the generosity of a heart whose reach touched many.

Queen of Endings, this soul, this soul of the gods'€™ servant is returned to you. Thank you for granting us the gift of his life. Thank you for guarding his soul." Thena closes her eyes for a moment, visibly gathers herself, and opens them again. "Thank you all for coming. Brother Martin will now be laid to rest in the cemetery just outside the walls. May Gild light his path, and the gods' blessings upon you all." This seems to be the end, as she steps off of the platform and places her hands on the coffin, lips moving silently.

Gabriel bows his head in prayer when Thena calls for it, again clasping his hands together.

Violet sits up and blows her nose as quietly as she can. As Thena calls for prayer she makes an obvious effort to control herself. A deep breath and then she bows her head, eyes closed. Tala, still on her lap, pauses before following suit. Though true to her six-year old nature she is looking around and up often as the prayer goes on.

"So let it be." Bianca murmured as the prayer came to an end and her eyes again lifted to the service itself. Her hands remained clasped for the moment and her stillness kept the Archscholar in her seat as she sought to compose herself before attempting any interactions.

Cassandra's head bows reverently in prayer. Her hand goes to her amulet with interlocking rings to grip it as she prays.

"Honors be," Esoka breathes soft, folding her hands and lowering her forehead to rest upon her knuckles. She remains like that for a beat, before tipping her gaze up again.

As the call for prayer goes out Alistair bows his head, and the minions of the Inquisition do so as well. When the ceremony comes to an end they depart as silently and without notice as they appeared.

Tabitha looks at the ground in prayerful silence, her hands still clasped in front of her waist. When she raises her head again, she releases a hand to wipe fingertips over tear-dampened cheeks. Otherwise she remains a quiet presence in the crowd, not yet ready to leave, but not making herself noticeable to those around her.

Rinel gazes down bleakly at the scene. Her eyes are fierce and hard, and her left hand is clenched tightly into a fist. Tears stream unheeded down her face.

Thorley bows his head quietly in prayer, and his lips move gently. When the prayer is over, he waits for Violet to finish, before the three of them prepare to depart. He's not going make Tala go up there to say something to the coffin.

Harper has her head bowed already but keeps it down respectfully for the prayer, joining in quietly. Her hands clasped in her lap are white knuckled though.

Alexandre has left the Solace Square seating 1.

Rosalie has left the Solace Square seating 1.

Once the service has ended, Andry makes sure Jeffeth is okay before getting up and walking over to the sturdy bier where a wooden coffin draped in gold and silver-embroidered aeterna rests. A hand is placed upon its surface and kept there as the young knight lingers in silent commune, eyes closed. He eventually retracts his hand, but remains standing near the coffin looking down at it. It's here where he'll stay until he's one of the last few left in Solace Square.

Finishing her private words over Martin's coffin, Thena leaves Andry in peace and makes her way into the Square proper, priest persona falling as she does so.

Cabbit, a nub-tailed tabby kitten, Laudine, a stern middle-aged maidservant leave, following Tabitha.

The memorial service concluded, Gabriel rises to his feet and departs.

Gabriel has left the Solace Square seating 3.

2 Bisland Guards leaves, following Gabriel.

Harper gives Esoka a brief hug, then quietly stands up and starts to make her way out of the area, keeping her eyes downcast.
