Drink thief!
Granted I am not overly upset by this action though I find it all together amusing. The Lady Ennettia is a rather singular personality and I find her to be something of eclectic soul. I am certain there is likely more but I will need to spend a great deal more time getting to know her. An endeavor that I will likely enjoy and not find a chore in the slightest.
Next time she wants to drink, she has only to ask but then that would take away the joy of thieving.

Swimming. I am not sure I can fathom the excitement for this task you have given yourself of teaching me to do so. I can not promise I will excel or likewise enjoy it but I will TRY. Boats and water are unpredictable forces - at least for me - and trees do not always float, Precious Pearl.

Victory comes at a cost and sometimes upon reflection it can be too much.
With these thoughts we look to the South and know that not all of the foe were downed in the North. We still live in uncertainty despite turning them aside. They still exist and where do they look to next?
Let those in Setarco not bear the brunt of those we could not fell. Let them rise to the challenge of their own foes and return to strengthen the Compact so we might all face those that yet remain.

I know far too many people that have interest in boats or seafaring. There have been several threats of forcing my person aboard one to end the long standing truth that I have never ever been aboard one. To that I say it better be a calm day with the ability to disembark at any given time.
I have yet to know what my reaction will be but I have heard some tales about sailing that are none too pleasant.

There are days I miss the quiet calm of the deep forests in Greyridge so very far away from the chaos that can be Arx. The simple echoing sound of the birdcall and filtered rays of sunlight leaving its patterns on the needled floor. Home. It sometimes calls more starkly than all the rest of the places my adventurous heart seeks.
Where the oak digs its roots so deeply that it will remain beyond the expanse of time a mortal life is expressed within. Where the earth is dark and fertile with the layers of seasons past. Where for certain I could name every angle, grove and deep well of wood without a second thought. I still can. So rich in my mind does this place remain. Deepwood was just a lesson in family blood, knowing where our grandfather had branched from to join the family of Greyridge - our mother never let us forget. It never occurred to me that Deepwood would rise again and my Home would be so far behind me - not in distance but in regards to the pace of my life.
Greyridge, though it still holds my spirit in the depths of its cathedral like forests, does not have what Arx and my House has given me. Though we came to answer the call I feel my sister and I, along with my brother in law have gained so much more than we have given. What experiences and trials I have met. What challenges have been set before me that I could not master without the call to prayer. And even then, what rekindled passion for the faith have I found faced with something more than a peaceful existence.
I could never have become this woman who I ran here to be. Seeking the adventure and chance to define myself, I have come to find a home here too. Though it's vastly different than the one of my birth; it is in those acquaintances I have come to know here that have given me a clearer view of myself; answered questions and asked far too many more in their stead. I welcome those questions for those are the ones that will ultimately lead me to where I am supposed to be.

There are those that lead and then there are those that lead by example. The Marquis has given me more than just instruction but something to strive for. The Compact is better for having him and Deepwood made stronger for his alliance by marriage to my cousin. We could not have asked for a more tested and true lord.

Harren Driftwood, what a name for an Elm tree. Gifted to me by both Dame Harrow and the King who managed to somehow trick me in to thinking it was untaken and who would refuse? Needless to say this has led me down a most wondrous path of getting to know the Dame Felicia.
And to my tree planting partner, Lord Alban Farshaw, thank you for doing the heavy lifting. The fair beaches of your home sound wonderful in the chill spring months. Perhaps I can brave a boat one day to go see them.

The Shindig was a success, a few injured and bloody (Sorry Lady Ianna!) but all came right in the end. I have never seen the manor look so lively or the Marquis Rymarr look more graceful or resplendent! And the Princess Caith, well won your highness and Dame Esoka. I think we will need another one of these after all that is to come.

Lady Margerie, how to explain her in one sentence - you can not really. So little time have we had together to speak but I already find I am rather inclined to enjoy her company and she has humor, quite a bit of it and can stand toe to toe with Luis. Deepwood is rich in life and loyalty and Dame Esoka embodies that. I am completely intrigued and inspired by her presence and glad to have her help with aiding my efforts in the preparations of Deepwood's newest force. I know they will be in good hands. A woman of strong shoulder and empathetic enough to welcome the comfort it can give. I saw what you did in delivery such ill wanted news.
