Relationship Note on Samantha
I am come to Arx! For many months I have studied out at Old Oak, but the kind Marquessa Samantha urged me to come to the city. I am not yet sure why, but I was glad to come here for it will surely be interesting, even if perplexing. I feel most warmly towards Marquessa Samantha, and I am grateful to be sheltered under the Deepwood leaves.
Truly though, it is hard at times not to think - why are we all so afflicted? The deaths of our family - and then, at Deepwood, the death of my so-brief husband and so many others. Truly, the world is at times soaked in a scarlet tissue of grief.
Yet honour is a gleaming solace amidst all of this.

How dare I not write a white entirely for you. Samantha Deepwood. At the risk of angering others, you are the favorite of those I got to share my childhood home. Those that were brought to stay, I don't think either of us want to earn Lailah's wrath.
My parents generosity has gifted me a broad range of people to whom I may consider to truly know me. I am thankful to have you as one. I hope to be as much a part of your children and wards lives as Gabriel was of yours.

No apology needed, he had more who loved him in his life than any of us could be aware, but he was very loved. That can never be a bad thing. I think he perhaps was not aware of how loved he was when he was alive, if I could change anything it would be that.

Truly, I never endeavor to do harm that is not repairable. Harm at all, really, but that's hard to avoid in terms of pugilism. As well, having been married myself once, I do know the importance of husbands. Not that I ever needed help opening jars, mind you, but certainly you need your Marquis for a number of far more important things than that. I do promise to be as careful as I can, as it is truly an honor to be asked to teach at all.

Allow me to clear up the questions you have asked:
Yes, it will endanger them. Yes, it will endanger you. To live is to be in danger, and at some point in our lives everyone's suffers, and everyone dies. Those are simple realities of the world, of /any/ world, that we might possibly live in.
But it is not the whole of reality. While choosing not to bring new life into the world will spare that potential life suffering, it will also deny it joy, love, the chance to grow wise and strong, and deprive the world of all the good that they could accomplish within the span of their life, however long or short it might be.
There are many valid reasons to remain childless, including that you simply do not wish to have children (provided that one does not have a duty to produce heirs). But one does not honor Gloria nor the Queen of Endings and Beginnings with such reasoning.

Marquessa Samantha recently negotiated on behalf of House Bisland and I am pleased with the results. Duchess Iona and I fostered her from a young age and I am honored to have been able to see her blossom into the woman in which she has. She is like a daughter to me and I am very proud of her.

I was very honored to dine with Marquessa Samantha and many other fine people this evening. I met those I might not otherwise and we had a wonderful discussion on a variety of topics. Mistress Culler, Duke Cristoph Laurent, and Whisper Lumen. While not one for stepping out of my shell I am glad I did and for the opportunity. It was an...enlightening evening. I do hope I have the chance to attend another.

I think what I find most interesting about the entire situation is, not only how the Prince stands in defense of these Ladies (whether with their consent or not, I'm uncertain), but also how he has edged onto the possibility of insulting our tradition of calling for champions to fight in our stead by implying that Prince Ardoin would possess any less honor for not standing in the ring himself.
