The best days are the days that my husband comes home from sea. To be with him reminds me of all of the good times we've had and allows all the troubles to fade peacefully into the background. I can be happy, no matter how heavy my burden, for he makes the duty of marriage worthwhile.

To expound upon Warlord Galen's point,
Taking a life is rarely ever easy. It marks you in some ways for the rest of your life. It does not grow easy unless you are sacrificing some of yourself. Some poets may speak of it in far prettier ways then I can.
But there are times when a life must be taken. When violence is called for. There are some who make it their duty to be skilled at such things. It is not a task for everyone, and if it is not for you there is no shame in it.

I find the untraditional methods tend to be more memorable.
People may gripe about them or laugh, but at the end of the day the students remember the lessons more clearly. They stand out for having been the unexpected, and that extra time spent thinking about what they did inevitably brings more focus and understanding to how they did it.
People could just take me at my word for that, but I suspect the number of master swordsmen in Arx who get a distant haunted look when you bring up potatoes rather says it all.

It has been far too long since my brother and I had a moment together. Despite trying to put business aside, it was difficult as we are both ridiculously responsible people. There was an unanimous agreement though during the conversation. Our parents had four beautiful, amazing children.

After all this time, I finally had the chance to meet with my brother since he has come to Arx. I thought time would change him, harden him, but it seems his time away has only strengthened his enjoyment for life. I am almost positive between Leona, Valerius, and I, I might be the only Thraxian and our parents found the other three in a field.
