Relationship Note on Larissa
One of the few Southern women in silks, a Whisper at that, to not try and get Freja in more 'sensible' and fashionable clothes. Freja may not agree with some of the other woman's overly flirtatious behavior and mannerisms, but she understands it is part of Larissa's job in a sense. She just thinks there could be a more subtle way of going about it. Still, the Whisper has promised to help Freja with some dance lessons so she doesn't trip over her feet too terribly if forced into a gala or something. Like it or not, Freja is in her debt for it.

Relationship Note on Valerius
At a whim between princesses, Jaenelle and Freja traded brothers for a week in jest. Freja's end of the deal was a toad in a box gifted by none other than this Prince. He is as much in love with his reflection as he is building something of worth from what she gleans. Valerius isn't all fluff after some whiskey and conversation. She may even get him to sully his too clean face with some dirt after a few spars soon.

Another Redrain cousin; brother to Darren and Deva. A self-assured Prince with the inclination to assume the role of 'prankster' as he sees fit. My interactions with him have been limited, but fall somewhere in the middle with what I take from them.

Honey and vinegar. He offers me lessons in 'Southern social warfare', and I give him a few in return from my own line of work, scouting. He arrived for a lesson in stealth...in steel. A source of amusement, though I do not think he realizes it, while also a good counter for banter. I like him. He is what he presents, unapologetically so. Tit fot tat, I will have to glean more. Northern Feast - A one Princess Freja Redrain told off a one, Prince Gareth Grayson for insulting guests in a Redrain home, under their hospitaltity. While perceived as blunt by some, it received more accolades than the few mousy squeaks of disapproval. The squeaks didn't last long, and House Redrain remains rat-free. Latest Discovery of the Scout of the Snows: Silks are bearable if worn with scalemail accents.

Yet ANOTHER drinking partner of my brother's. I swear, I need to get him some help...but, this one I like. She seems like she can deliver punches as well as she can take them, both physically and verbally. She works quick and made me my first sword upon coming to Arx. It was fine quality, strikes true. I'll be recommending her as often as I can.

A servant for House Redrain, this woman is always willing to lend a helping hand or needle if I ever find myself in a fashion 'pinch', though truly I think it will only be the once. She has a shop in the city center where I think she'll do well, if she can curb the Northern tongue a touch to sate the preferred silver taste for these silky southerners.

Relationship Note on Acacia
A woman from the boroughs with more social graces than I have seen some nobility have. A supposed drinking partner of my brother's, that can only speak volumes. She sticks by her family and kin, 'adopted' or otherwise and that in itself is admirable. Some mixture of coal and diamond in there, depending on which facet you want to look at.

A man with something to prove. It makes one wonder if his sword is as sharp as his tongue, or if that is the category found faulty. Either way, he has prying eyes and mannerisms to fit. A prince perfectly fit for the role of inquisitor.

Her thoughts echo mine more than I thought they would. An ally in this family, if one is ever needed. She'll do what's right, when it comes down to it. Very much her mother's child, the wild of the North rules more than the silks of the south could ever influence.

Another large Redrain cousin. He has moments of genuine heartfelt connection, other times I want to bash his skull in. All in all, he trusts and confides in me and I can't take that lightly. I can rely on him in a pinch if need be.

A Captain in Redrain service, under Duke Vercyn's command. A burly type with a history. I think he has lost family dear to him, maybe a child. He wears a necklace with a pendant that looks like it was made by one. A reliable soldier and man, but with the gruff and terse humor one would expect from a Northern Soldier. Good drinking buddy.

She recognized me nearly immediately at the tourney. I really hope I don't look that much like my brother...regardless, she was a quick friend and I feel one I may come to trust with more exposure. She is a Northerner that has a good head on her shoulders. Feck, she can even get my brother to look remotely less annoyed with life.

I have left my Northern home to journey to Arx, where there is unease as the city is uncertain, this King in a comatose state from what I gather. Already I miss the snows, the Red Run. The River. My home. But, I have family here and I will be needed I feel. It is a journey none take lightly, and none never should. I find myself still wearing the leathers I traveled in, wrapped in my cloak at night to catch the faint scent of snow still lingering in the furs. These southerners and their fashions, their pomp and superfluous fashion, is something entirely. A new battlefield to traverse and conquer.

Relationship Note on Fergus
Recently rejoined in company, his temper and moods are the same as always. I do wish to help him, but you can only help someone as much as they will help themselves. I love and trust him dearly. Here's to hoping he'll lift my spirits and I his.
