The Guildmaster has put in that she is willing to donate to the Masquerade ball too! GOSH! This is going to be an event you /don't/ want to miss. Though I'm certainly not surprised to get a message from Joscelin about the Ball, she's a kind charitable soul that is always look to help a good cause. I look forward to see what sort of gift she's presenting for the Masquerade!

My timing could have been better. I could have done this on your birthday. Perhaps that would have taken your birthday from simply 'good' to 'the best birthday ever'? But it is difficult to arrange schedules, and I would not be doing this if I hadn't talked to Ida and Morrighan first.
I suppose you can assume that those conversations went well. Not only am I alive (and not suffering from even a single stab wound, although many threats were made), but you'll soon wake up and find the gifts I've left you, sitting on the kitchen table.

Dearest Scholars,
Rather than my adoptive grandparents I am writing this letter for the libraries directly, as it should be well known.
Guildmaster Joscelin is a very kind woman. She sent me some silver as a gift. When I said I could pay it back she insisted that it is a gift not to be paid back. That is quite hard to deal with for me. I will have to work on a lovely gift for her once I have saved enough silver. I would like to make her something very nice.
She also arranged a loan of resources for me to obtain a shop. She assured me it was not a tribulation upon her time and that was part of what the Crafters Guild is for. I hope to pay it back as soon as I can.
