Relationship Note on Rymarr
He is quiet and stalwart, his whole being focused completely on the task at hand - protecting the King from enemies both foreign and domestic. Well, almost completely focused. His sense of humor is understated and brilliant, and his taste in cider impressive. Nonetheless, I am quite comfortable taking orders from the new Lord Commander, and I could not have entrusted the sword of my mentor to a better man. He is sometimes a little tactless, but I can appreciate that. And he is meant for great things. Hopefully those great things won't get him killed.

It's been a long time, brother. I wonder who you are now, what you think of me. I feel like we never got to know one another growing up, there were too many things that were more important. The new Lord Commander is an honorable man and he is a rigid one. His tenacity and adherence to duty must be commended. What I have yet to see is what happens when duty leads him where he must commit dishonorable things or be flexible; when the past gives no answer and the legends who walked before has can yield no help any more.

Relationship Note on Rymarr
Rymarr was made the Lord Commander of the King's Own, and if I didn't know him when he was just the First Captain of the King's Own instead (haha, that's a joke, that's pretty terrifying too) I think I'd be intimidated by that. He looked very serious when he was up there making his vows, and I know he takes them seriously, too, but I am going to share one of his secrets here in this journal where probably no one else will see:
He knows how to smile.
He seems to carry the weight of his responsibilities very solemnly, but I know there's a good man under that stern face, and I couldn't be gladder for him.

It can be exceptionally unnerving to have one of the King's Own grace your doorway. Or darken it - I suppose it would depend on the nature of the visit. In this case, however, Sir Rymarr Lyonesse had been invited to come by, so I wasn't concerned. Much. The King's Own are a powerful group and one I'd not hope to cross. But I digress, as usual.
He had inquired about something for Judge (an impressive canine bred by Sir Rymarr's family) that I find myself very cautiously fond of. Today was a try-on day for a leash of sorts I've been working on. Were I not from the Oathlands myself, his demeanor might seem daunting. But? I am from the Oathlands. I am glad we had occasion to speak and were able to also make a bit of progress on this project. There are a few things I yet need to tweak, I think, but I'm hopeful this will turn out well.

Sir First Captain Rymarr of the King's Own. The King's Own are supposed to be the best fighters and the best knights around, and he was very kind to the Marquessa, and she likes him too.
He thinks I should learn to ride, which seems like a terrible idea, because horses are 1000 feet tall, and said that I should talk to really important people, including a _LEGATE_. He's probably spent too much time being a Sir First Captain if he thinks that's normal, but he said I should write him letters to tell him what I'm learning, so I will.

I met with him briefly after the first meeting of the Low Council, where I suspect I lingered too long than was seemly. Thus, I decided to invite him for dinner. It took some time for our schedules to align, but all in all I was pleased for the occasion.
Sir Rymarr is, if nothing else, exactly what a knight should aspire to be. Confuse that not with being a character from a story book, however. The man is, as are we all (or so we dearly hope), human. He possesses dreams and foibles alike. Yet he has chosen his path, knows it for what it is, and walks it bravely. How can I say this so confidently, you wonder? Because I understand it.
But oh! Those blue eyes, so~oo dreamy.

I believe the reason so many women find him attractive is because he is so stoic. The allure is the prospect of being singular in making him smile, and knowing one is special for that. It speaks to a woman's desire, and her sense of challenge.
I enjoy making him smile. But I also enjoy his bearing, his dedication, his intelligence, his earnestness, his patience, and his sensibilities of justice, fairness, and honor.

Relationship Note on Rymarr
I have had the great pleasure of meeting the chivalrous and dedicated knight Sir Rymarr. I will admit upon first meeting the man I was nearly daunted. Stern, painfully professional and relentlessly unflinching, though not unkind. But it was his eyes that caught my attention first. There is a sweetness there I wish I could see more of. Since then, what little I have seen of his smile has made me smile in turn and I am doubly certain that there is something lovely and wonderful below that cool exterior. He even came to Redrain Villa for the Bear Wresting. I was so delighted to see him there, I cannot even begin to explain. Whether or not he will continue to allow or even encourage me to venture past his guarded demeanor I know not. Regardless, I seem to be becoming very fond of the man. ~~~<@

Relationship Note on Rymarr
We first met at the Redrain bear fight, but had a longer encounter in the training center. I'm impressed with any man who can acknowledged his actions may have been flawed and seek to improve himself. He was willing to fight so that I might observe, and I get the impression that he smiled more while speaking to me than he may have total in the past month.
