Oh man, will I have my work cut out for me.
First thing in the morning: you will run laps around the training yard. I do not brook an argument here.
Second thing, in the afternoon: training dummies. You're going to learn how to use a sword, a spear or a glaive. I leave you the faculty to choose.
Third thing, in the evening, right before dinner: push-ups. You got that right. You're doing push-ups and there's nothing you can do to stop it.
Fourth thing, accept a hug and a kiss to the forehead by no less than three (3) family members, along with not demuring from any words of praise.

Or you can plan and execute a convoluted scheme to utterly ruin those that oppose you by preying upon their weaknesses and gradually destroying their family, their home, and their reputation until years later, when your enemy is ruined and looks you in the eye to ask you why, you can explain very calmly their offense just before they beg you for death.

That is certainly one way to look at it, my Marquessa. Another perhaps is that those who can be bought owe all of their loyalty to coin, rather than to any one person or organization. In that regard you can at least be assured that so long as you have the most coin, you too have the most loyalty.
An optimistic view! At the very least those who I've had the pleasure of working with in mercenary companies have usually been rather upstanding fellows.

One thing is certain. My Niece, Cambria can throw a party. Not sure if she actually managed surprise or not, but I don't think it mattered in the end. Fun was to be had by all. Still... the Marquis hopefully won't continue to challenge his inner workings with that new goblet of his.

What I did to deserve the eye of such a stunning Marquessa, I have no idea. Seems it was just by virtue of existing as the man I already am. I am truly blessed and lucky then that she wishes for me to have her patronage. I look forward to seeing more of her family when the time comes, I've heard her husband is already quite the character!

The Marquessa Cambria is a nice person, and I think we should be able to become friends, or allies at the least. It's nice to have acquaintances with others that serve Fidante and Velenosa.
