Relationship Note on Leola
Leola Allenatore is her mother's cousin's cousin's daughter - or something like that. She was quite welcoming when Eleanor first met her, though she's more than a little odd. She talks to animals - not just having a knack with them like her mother did, but actually talks to them! Eleanor isn't quite sure what to think of her cousin, but she seems so sweet and it's nice to be able to explore her family ties a bit more now that she's landbound.

That awkward moment when you spend two years referring to your pet viper as a 'he' and it turns out he's not a 'he' at all. He's a 'she'.

I was asked by Paladin Leola Allenatore to assist in a matter as regards to a sacred place to Petrichor. I helped drive out some who would defile it, and assisted a knight of Petrichor and his allies in battle.

Relationship Note on Leola
Leola is one of the Paladins, like cousin Killian, though she serves Petrichor. Much like my cousin, she seems to dislike her title and the fame it brings her. I brought her to our home and showed her the black rose, and have sought her guidance in worship of Petrichor, as well as in more mundane agricultural matters. She is very kind, and I feel in her I will have an important mentor.

I am certain she is not mad. I am equally certain that she is very strange, but she means well. And as she is currently the liason for another group of Knights sworn to holy service, she is definitely worth talking to. I probably should not be so amused at sending Miles to speak with her and orchestrate working with the Order of Petrichor's Fluffybottoms, but I am. And I'm not even a little sorry.

I have never, in all my travels, met a more ludicrous, off-the-wall, insane....And completely fascinating person. She has stories that couldn't possibly be true. But I've seen her do things I would call impossible with my own eyes, so perhaps she will simply widen my own vision.

A woman whom I'm glad is as sharp with a bow as I anticipated, given the fact it saved me from being disemboweled once during our adventure in the Lowers. Down to earth, practical, and with a bit of knowledge about many things, she's certainly a stalwart companion to have in such times. Everything went according to plan. And once I'm done mending, I'll be certain to seek her out and give her my thanks.

Never underestimate the meek and mild. They see with different eyes than the bold. And what they see holds great value and true insight.
I have come to value Leola greatly in the time I have gotten to know her. Not only is she talented at her craft, training any animal with expertise and a compassionate reliable hand. But she is delightful to be around. I intend to gather her thoughts more frequently. I am very proud of the initiative she has taken with the hunting lodge as well. It took great effort to see that project landing on its feet and I intend to do everything I can to support her.

Mistress Leola Allenatore is an animal trainer, and very good at her job. She and I arrived in Arx at the same time; we first met on our first night in the city, when we were both hopelessly lost. We spent a bit of time wandering together until we got our bearings, and promised to check in with each other later.
We've sent each other messengers every so often since then, but until recently we hadn't seen each other in person again. Now I've had a chance to reconnect with her again more recently; I'm giving her a weapon, and she gave me a pet bird to brighten up the shop.
In a way, she was my first friend in Arx, even if we didn't really talk that much to start; it's nice to have a chance to actually get to know her better.

Relationship Note on Leola
I first encountered Miss Leola Allenatore on the beaches outside Arx. I was at some work-out, putting in time to keep my sea legs from going to rust, and she was out with a hawk.. hawking? I will have to ask her the correct term. I do not well recall the beginning of our conversation. My blood was up from the exercise, she's a fair lass, it was a beautiful morning. What I do recall very specifically was the stormcloud came over her face when I suggested she stay inside the city when trouble inevitably comes knocking. The frank words she had to say about what it would mean to sit on a wall and watch others risk themselves when they would be better served with her skills in the field. I thought of those words again this morning when, at an hour most were still deep in their warm blankets, I encountered her already hard at work overseeing some laborers. I had not yet found my cell (a dire wanderlust has possessed me of late) and among my many flaws of character is a habit of waxing philosophical and garrulous in the late hours. Of this she remonstrated me, gently and without making it an accusation, but firmly by the simple canniness of her words. I had the immediate understanding, having twice now been so adjusted, of an animal at training. The guidance devoid of malice or judgement, only the firm smack of a hand on snout, a command reinforced with with the tap of a switch. Not powerful for strength of force, but for the uniformity of its application. Its constancy. There is no longer any wonder how she brought that great cat to heel.

Helpful, dutiful, obedient. Needs a bit of a lesson in expressing herself, though. Now, I'm not accusing her of being without spine. Quite the opposite, in fact! Yet I find it rather strange that she should have that deep well of courage, draw from it, and still be unable to speak without sounding...

Unless she's just exceptionally skilled at deception. Not an impossibility, given that she is of the Lyceum.
