Lyiana moves into the art gallery, moving toward the benches to sit, her fingers almost immedately tapping on the wood as she sits down.

Lyiana has joined the Benches.

Mongoose, 1 Unliveried Guard arrive, following Joscelin.

Joscelin runs in, a little late, fresh from working in her shop.

Calandra arrives in the gallery while wearing a silk dress with a fur-lined collar that was designed by Alarie. It laces tightly around her tiny waist. Dark locks are gathered back from her face and secured with rubicund hair pins. She makes her way to one of the benches, taking a seat.

Arriving with the wonderful Monique Greenmarch on his arm, Ford is dressed in a stark white pea-coat-like jacket with forest green stripe along the hem of the lapel and collar, as well as along the bottom. Each of the buttons of the buttons on the jacket, on the chest and sleeves, are gold. And his pants, which match his date, are white with a gold stripe down the outside of the leg.

Joscelin has joined the Benches.

Joscelin slides in to the benches that Lyiana occupies, and promptly gives the woman a hug, murmuring.

Eleyna arrives with her assistant in tow, murmuring to him as the two step into the gallery. The princess casts her pale blue eyes around, taking in both attendees and appropriate seating. She sweeps toward the seat that her servant graciously guides her to, the silk chiffon folds of her sapphire blue skirt swaying around her. The sapphire of the dress matches the exquisitely wrought choker of silver and sapphires wrapped around her pale throat.

Dominique ventures in slowly, wearing of all things a dress. She passed Ford who has Monique on one arm. She goes to find a place to sit quietly. Hair done up in a wreath of braids on her hair. She is looking feminine instead of her tomboy self this evening.

Stepping into the gallery with a group of guards behind him, Valerius immediately turns about and has them stationed near the door, out of the way of the crowds and those that might make their way through. Dressed in dolphin-adorned silks that fit firmly against his muscled body, the foppish Prince readily heads over to the benches with a light swagger. Or slight stagger. He might be drunk. Either way, he moves to settle into a seat, only pausing briefly to whisper something to Lyiana in passing.

Eleyna has joined the a small circular table draped in snowy linen.

Alarie arrives to the event, practically bouncing on her toes. She is super excited to see the results of this event. She pauses, glancing around to figure out where to sit. The Thraxian seamstress slips into the benches, smoothing her skirts as she settles in.

Joscelin waves to Alarie, inviting her to join she and Lyiana.

Alarie has joined the a small dining table draped in snowy linen.

The Jayus Art Gallery remains nearly untouched save for the podium placed in the middle of the room. Larissa stands behind it with a welcoming smile to everyone as they mull around and enjoy all the many pieces of art displayed proudly on the walls. "Thank you all for coming and participating in the Fashion Show Auction. Tonight we will be showcasing the dresses that were so beautifully displayed and shown off at last weeks Fashion Show. This will include the last available dress from the esteemed Myrinda Grayhope and as a nod to his mother's memory we have a special piece from her son, Fortunato Grayhope. Our evening will begin with dresses by Misstress Lyiana Everdeen. She has two beautiful dresses for us this evening. Along with the dresses, we will also be auctioning all the jewelry that Guildmistress Joscelin made for them, so we will begin with her first two pieces as well." A nod is given to two other Whispers as they move forward and hang the dresses from dress forms waiting, the jewelry laid out upon a table next to them. "I will give everyone a few minutes to step forward and look at the dresses and jewelry and then we will begin.

Desiree has her hair made up as usual, but she isn't wearing anything all that special. She takes a long look around. She gives a friendly wave to Ford and Monique but heads toward her sister when she sees her.

A little late is the tiny Whisper named Mailys. she bounds in with a brilliant smile to everyone. Her eyes first draw to Larissa to see if she needs Mai. She doesn't move to sit until she gets a response from Larissa.

Monique has joined the a small dining table draped in snowy linen.

Lili joins Lyiana, Joscelin and Valerius on the benches, offering a warm smile as she is a touch late. Her eyes then looking up to the fashion show.

Monique is preening in her new clothes, entering on the arm of Ford and smiling warmly at him. When they enter, she catches the wave from Desiree and offers one back in return. Leaning in, she murmurs to Ford, then grins and tugs him towards the table with Dominique and Desiree. "My ladies! I do hope you don't mind if we join you?"

Dominique glances to her sister and Monique who have joined her. "Come sit with us." She nods to Ford. She goes back to look at the show with stern features.

Ford has joined the a small dining table draped in snowy linen.

Given the offer to view the dresses more slowly, Valerius swiftly stands up, makes his way to the front of the crowd, and examines them one by one. Once satisfied, then, the Thraxian Prince turns about and begins to move back to his seat, though upon spotting Julea at a table, diverts his path and moves to join her instead. "Pleasure to see you," he says, quietly, before settling in to speak to her more privately.

Valerius has left the Benches.

Valerius has joined the a larger circular table draped in snowy linen.

Alarie watches as the jewelry and dress is brought out to be viewed. She examines the items from where she sits, though does not rise to look at the items.

Lili smiles as she looks upon the lovely dresses and jewelry. She then leans over to Joscelin and Lyiana and quietly speaks with them.

Lyiana does not look over at the dresses, as she has made them and thus has seen them.

Charlemagne the Unicorn arrives, following Larissa.

Mailys has joined the a formal banquet table raised on a dais for guests of honor.

In comes Jeremiah, fidgeting with the buttons on the vest he wears--he steps off to the side, searching those present with a sharp, shrewd eye.

Larissa drops a pair of silver earrings set with sky-blue topazes.

Joscelin looks up as a messenger taps her elbow.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Joscelin before departing.

Leta struts into the gallery, wearing her finest, but once she's actually inside the strutting gives way to a few careful steps as she takes in the lay of the room and its occupants. One hand fingers with the length of cloth dangling from her hat, the other weighs the purse at her side. Teeth catch her lower lip for a moment as she hesitates on what to do with herself.

Once the gowns were placed on the floor and everyone has had sufficient time to look them over, Larissa turns to the crowd "These lovely little gowns would be a perfect gift to a protoge or a handmaiden or simply to tell someone thank you for doing a good job. We will start with the Rose-Pink dress, with a minimum bid of 300 silver..."

Ford lifts his finger, "Three hundred."

"Leta!"

Jeremiah knows what to do with himself--attach himself to someone he slightly knows. "Considering fetching something for Bethany," he explains, coming to loiter by her. "Yourself--or the Knight-Princess-Knight?" he inquires.

"Four hundred," Valerius says, his lips curling into an amused grin as he lifts a hand and promptly tucks it back under his arm when they cross over his chest.

Dominique clears her throat and raises her fingers delicately. Calling out in a soft and firm voice. "500." She looks over to Valerius.

Desiree says "five hundred."

Sir Huntley, the beagle arrives, delivering a message to Monique before departing.

"Six hundred," Valerius states, amusedly, as the bidding begins in earnest, his smile growing as he turns his attention across the room towards Alarie and calls out to her, "Dear Alarie, please tell me when your dress comes up, would you? I'd love the opportunity to win it."

Larissa inclines her head to Ford "300... Going to Lord Ford? Going.. Going.. Not quite! Outbid by the Ladies Wyrmguard. My Lady Desiree, your sister got in before you. "500 to the Lady Dominique.. No, 600 to Lord Valarius... Going... Going..." she waggles her brows and looks around.

Monique says, "700 on the dress, please!" Monique adds her own voice to the bidding, smiling."

Lyiana nearly coughs as Monique bids on her dress, looking over at her like she has grown a second head for a moment, before laughing a little and smiling at the woman.

It takes a moment for Julea to realise that the bidding has begun and she looks up from her discussions. And on spotting Leta, she's quick to encourage her over to join them with a wave. And hopefully said wave doesn't get interpreted for a bid.

"Eight hundred," Valerius states, calling out once more after Monique outbids him, his gaze turning over towards the other woman as he flashes her a grin.

Joscelin grins at Lyiana at the benches, proud of the Crafter-clothier.

Mailys idly wanders to find a seat. Once settled in she contents herself in watching the bidding.

Lyiana is still blushing a little, looking a little out of her eliment, but having fun doing it.

Leta looks to Jeremiah with a brief nod and a warm smile, eyes flitting back and forth to watch the people bidding on the dress, rising onto her toes for a better look. "What? Not for me. Think it's mostly dresses from what I saw, and it's been a good long while since I've worn one." she informs him with a smile, then lifts a hand, very very subtly, to wave back in Julea's direction, with a nod.

Dominique makes an impressed sound at Monique. "ooo." She glances over to the competitive Valerius. She shucks, three can play this game. "810."

Lili watches the bidding and is talking quietly with Alarie, Joscelin and Lyiana, smiling the whole time.

Valerius is beaming broadly up until Dominique outbids him by the ten offered. Opening his mouth as if to bid again, he lowers his hand, sends a wink off in the woman's direction, and remains silent.

Eleyna watches the bidding with an expressionless gaze, lips purses and pale blue eyes distant as if not particularly interested in the bidding as of yet. She occasionally leans in to whisper to her pleasant-faced servant, Jiacomo, before sitting still again.

"Gooooo.. uhm." she pauses and looks between Valerius and Monique and then Dominique. She grins to Lyiana and bangs down her hand "Sold for 810 Silver to Lady Dominique! but fret not my darlings. That was only the beginning and the first of the two gowns Miss Lyiana has for us. Thank you Lady Dominique. Our next dress will be the sweet little muslin gown.. We will start again at 300 Silver!"

Joscelin applauds loudly, grinning at Lyiana. "Well done!"

Alarie lifts up her hand. "Three hundred!"

Ford lifts up two fingers, "Six hundred."

Lyiana waves and smiles at Larissa as she's grinned at and then the bidding war begins again, and the woman has to stop smiling long enough to whisper over to the lady Lili.

"Alarie," Valerius calls out over the crowd once more, his head lifting a bit as he attempts to catch a look at the woman, "How much do you want it?"

Dominique smirks and winks over at Valerius. She pats her sister on the shoulder, small victories, right?

Alarie looks to Valerius, smiling. "That is a complicated answer! I like it. It's very lovely. Though, I feel awkward bidding on a dress from another seamstress, being a seamstress myself!"

"Then my dear, I won't make you bid at all!" Valerius calls out once Alarie's answered his question, his hand raising once more as he glances aside to Ford, "Eight hundred."

"Nine hundred!" Monique calls out, grinning.

"A thousand!" Valerius calls out, his grin just as wide as a glance is shot aside towards Monique.

"Twelve hundred." Ford says.

Dominique glances over to Ford, her eyebrows go up. It was step for sure. She glances over to Valerius

"Thirteen hundred," Valerius says, another glance flashed over to Alarie, then Ford in turn, before he looks back to the front.

"1500!" Monique chimes in.

"Three thousand." Ford says.

Lili raises her eyebrows as the bids go higher and higher for the dress and smiles to Lyiana.

Lyiana grins over at Monique and gives a smile, clearly enjoying the bidding on her clothes. She leans back and the smile could light a room

"Sixteen--" Valerius starts to call out before Ford manages to make his bid. His mouth hanging open briefly, he snaps it shut and turns to look the other man over. His lips curling back up into a grin, he shrugs his shoulders, "If you want it that badly, I suppose."

Leta was about to raise her hand, but catches herself at all the bidding, with an amused little grin. She looks to Jeremiah, shrugs, then leans in, "Worry it might all put a hole in my purse." but her smile's good-natured, "Think I might go sit with Mistress Julea, there - but if you excuse me, Master Writer." she bows her head, squares her shoulders, and decides to approach Eleyna's table, squaring her shoulders and setting her face into a friendly, not at all intimidated smile.

Joscelin is probably smiling as brightly as Lyiana right now.

Lyiana is beaming like the sun has come out, not overwhelmed at all that people are fighting over her garments. It somehow flatters her in a way.

Dominique glances over to Lyiana. She is studying in silence. Bidding has gotten crazy and out of head she isnt even sure what number they are bidding at anymore.

Lili continues to quietly talk with Alari, Joscelin and Lyiana.

Eleyna glances up as Leta approaches, her lips curving into a small, cool smile. There is a glint in her pale blue eyes as she looks the woman over, but er words are unfailingly polite as she murmurs, "Mistress Leta. How good to see you again. Here to buy a dress?" Now that glint is an outright twinkle of amusement.

Larissa laughs at the bidding war and claps when it's over "Sixteen to Prince Valerius!" she calls out, "Congratulations Prince Valerius. You may pay Mistress Lyiana and pick up your lovely new dress when you are ready. Goodness, I'm almost afraid to start on the jewelry. Mistress Joscelin is the Premiere jewelry designer in Arx. Each of her pieces will begin with a minimum bid of 2500 silver and we will start with the Gemecittan quartz earrings, in a variety of pink.. 2500 Ladies and Gentleman"

"Ehem! I stand corrected. The dress goes to Lord Ford for 3000! I'm so sorry, my Lord! Please enjoy your lovely, lovely dress."

Joscelin covers her mouth, giggling.

"I will, thank you." Ford says with a smirk and dip of his head.

Lili covers her mouth, giggling with Joscelin.

"I think you're right," Jeremiah calls after Leta, briefly intimidated himself--lots of silver flying around. He nods extensively, eyes a bit wide. He clears his throat, nodding a few times.

Mailys looks a little amused at the comment but seems fine with sitting quietly and watching.

Lyiana giggles at Ford and says, through the laugh, "Enjoy your new dress, my lord, may the coloring bring out your eyes." This is clearly a joke.

Joscelin fans Lyiana to keep her from fainting.

Lyiana leans back against the bench and grins over at Joscelin. She lowers her hand from her mouth and tries to hold herself together long enough not to giggle again.

Joscelin waves to Jeremiah, inviting him to sit with the other crafters and herself.

Dominique sulks a bit. She is interested in the jewlery as of today. She stands slowly and excuses herself shooting Ford a daggered look.

Dominique has left the a small dining table draped in snowy linen.

"And so, on to the earrings... Actually. The earrings and the pendant look so sriking together, they would make a beautiful set.. 2500? Do I hear a starting bid at 2500? I would also like to point out that each piece of jewelry is inlaide with precious stones. These are statement and heirloom pieces that will be passed down from generation to generation."

Dominique has joined the a small dining table draped in snowy linen.

Fortunato has joined the a larger circular table draped in snowy linen.

Calandra raises her hand. "Oh, I can afford that!"

Leta slows down for the last couple of steps bringing her to Eleyna's table, though her approach is interrupted by the announcement of the bidding war's winner and the new piece on the block. A moment later she's facing Eleyna again, and bows her head, "Your Highness, it's a pleasure to see you." she does brightest, most nonchalant smile, but her cheeks grow pinker at the question, "Just - looking, isn't it? Thinking of it. But I just might, if my purse lets me."

Ford raises his hand, "Twenty seven hundred."

Valerius turns his attention towards Calandra briefly, possibly unsure if her raised hand was a bid. Regardless, when Ford speaks up, the Thraxian Prince does as well, "Three thousand!"

Calandra gives Joscelin a smile. She seems hopeful. Maybe she will get them! Then Ford bids and then Valerius.

Ford sets his jaw tighter a moment, "Thirty one."

Dominique ventures in and joins her seat beside her sister again, she snickers as bidding is still fierce.

Eleyna looks rather interested when one of the Joscelin's pieces is offered up for auction. She lifts a brow, almost seems ready to bid, but then decides not to. Her pale eyes sweep over Leta and she offers another of those slow smiles, "I wish you the best of luck, then."

"Three thousand two hundred!" Valerius calls out, brightly, his grin widening rather fully as he bids once more.

Larissa grins over to Valerius "Remind me to invite you to all of our auctions in the future, Lord Prince. You are excellent for business."

"If you're going to outbid me for the sake of outbidding me, your highness. Make it interesting." Ford says with a pointed look.

Alarie suddenly giggles at her bench.

Joscelin looks ... surprised.

"Sold to Prince Valerius for 3200 Silver. Next will be the matching pendant.. what do you say Prince Valerius, you can't possibly go home without the matching set.."

"You think--" Valerius starts, looking over to Ford with a raised eyebrow. He looses a quiet laugh before shaking his head, "I want them, as a gift to some beautiful woman of whom I'm not certain yet. I'm sure we'll find a fitting recipient." When Larissa mentions the pendant as well, he can't help himself, "Of course, I'll bid on that too! Whatever the price."

Nathaniel stays some fair distance off from the ongoing auction drama, scratching consideringly at his faintly-stubbled chin. He spends a moment considering Joscelin from a distance, before his eyes go to the wares up on display.

Larissa waggles her eyebrows "A starting bid of 2500 for the Gemecittan pendant by Guildmistress Joscelin.."

Calandra bids on that pendant as well! She raises her hand.

"Twenty-six hundred, if you'd please," Valerius calls out, his gaze darting over to Calandra following her bid.

Calandra turns her attention to Valerius. "Three thousand." She says and then gives him a smile that brings forth her dimples.

Valerius seems rather surprised by Calanrda's bid, but that doesn't seem to hold him back at all, "Thirty-five hundred!"

Leta remains poised and slightly posed, but then that's just how Leta stands, rosy-cheeked but affecting relaxation. "Think I'll need it, too." she replies with a smile for Eleyna. She looks about to say something, but catches her lips before they do. Instead, she just bows her head, "Your Highness." and takes a step back.

Larissa smiles at Calandra and leans in to whisper dramatically "Don't worry, there are several pieces of jewelry to auction off tonight! I'm certain you'll get one of them." she winks and ndos to Valerius "3500, Any more?"

Samantha makes her way quietly in, seemingly less interest in the clothing and jewels offered and more on the sculptures and art on the walls. She does keep her ears open, but otherwise seems content to remain on the fringe of the gathering.

Calandra gives Valerius a sheepish smile and stops bidding. The then smiles hopefully to Larissa.

"3500 to the Thrax Prince. Thank you Highness, they are absolutely beautiful pieces. I confess no small amount of envy to the recipient you have in mind. So! The last of our first group, the pair of Topaz earrings, again starting at 2500.."

"Too rich for my blood--or perhaps not normally, bit certainly in auction," Jeremiah remarks to Samantha as he wanders nearer--referring to all and sundry. "I hear we're readying ourselves for a party?" he asks-tells her.

Larissa picks up a sparkly summer gown in the color of rose pink.

"My Lady," Valerius starts, calling out to Calandra then once the deal is sealed and he's won the jewelry, "Your allowing me to win speaks very highly of your character. Would you do me the honor of accepting these earrings and this pendant as a gift?"

Larissa picks up a beautifully sewn muslin gown of summer colors.

Sir Huntley, the beagle arrives, delivering a message to Desiree before departing.

Sir Huntley, the beagle arrives, delivering a message to Dominique before departing.

Calandra looks over to Valerius and her dark eyes widen with pleasure. "Really?" She says and then gathers some control. "Oh, I would be so honored. Thank you Prince Valerius and thank you Joscelin. They are beautiful." Her cheeks are warmed with a pink flush.

Joscelin looks up as the blue topaz earrings go up for sale, smiling. "Those took forever to match."

Samantha smiles, tilting herself a little sidelong toward Jeremiah. "I understand Silas is in charge of the food. Which, knowing Silas, has him as happy as a little kid."

Joscelin grins at Calandra!

If anything is to be told by the warm smile that sweeps onto his face, Calandra's blushing is the only prize Valerius needed to win this night. As the next piece goes up for bidding, the Prince pauses for a moment, shrugs a shoulder, and calls out, "I'll bid on those, too. Twenty-five hundred."

Eleyna looks up from a quiet discussion with her servant and says in a husky voice, "3500."

Dominique excuses herself and leaves te money with her sister

Alarie looks to the topaz earrings and her lips curl in an amazed face. "Joscelin.. those.. those earrings are perfect.. nearly divine!"

Dominique has left the a small dining table draped in snowy linen.

Lili smiles as she watches Valerius give the jewelry to Calandra. And look to Joscelin as she says "They are indeed quite impeccable."

"Do we have a starting bid of 2500 for the Blue Topaz Earrings?"

Lyiana smiles at Joscelin. "Good job." she says, smiling gently at Joscely.

"Four thousand." Julea puts in a bid, her gloved right hand rising up in order to be seen.

Joscelin grins at Alarie. "Yes, they came out quite well. I didn't expect them to be -perfect-, but.... Jayus was smiling on me that day, to be true."

"Four thousand five hundred." Ford says with a lifted hand.

Joscelin blinks.

Eleyna lifts her hand again and says in an expressionless tone, "5000."

Joscelin looks over at Eleyna, her eyebrows to her hairline. And then looks at the choker around the woman's neck and comprehension dawns. The jeweler nods to Eleyna, respect in her eyes. "Amazing taste," she murmurs softly.

"I'm just pleased it's happening," Jeremiah pleasantly returns to Samantha, looking quite eager--"Mercier wine, Deepwood cicer--the company of both?" he inquires pleasantly, looking aside to the on-sale clothing-and-jewelry.

Leta looks to the earrings on offer, then continues her retreat. Noticing Jeremiah and Samantha, the silk-clad sellsword approaches the pair, "An auction's a fine thing, but I'm not sure my bank can bear it." she grins at Jeremiah, then bows her head to Samantha, "My - er - pardon, Samantha."

"5000 to the Princess Eleyna. Please pick up your prize and pay the Guildmistress at your leisure. Congratulations." Once the last items of the first lot were cleared away the Whisper attendants lay out a dark gown with a beautiful choker to match a "This next dress and jewelry set are a favorite of mine as it introduced me to the lovely Mistress Alarie Harall and her exquisite work. This dress is made of shimmering seasilk that feels and moves like water across a womans body. Because of the materials used, this gown will have a starting bid of 20,000 silver... But if there are no bidders than I am more than happy to offer the base price myself and keep it. I promise I haven't tried it on too often to look at myself in the mirror.. Probably. Twenty Thousand! First bid?"

Larissa gets an austere seasilk gown of shimmering silver and smoky grey from smokey bag.

Larissa drops smokey bag.

Larissa gets a choker emulating silver smoke with dark amethysts from smokey bag.

Larissa drops a choker emulating silver smoke with dark amethysts.

Ford whistles at both the dress and that price.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Julea before departing.

Larissa drops an austere seasilk gown of shimmering silver and smoky grey.

Lili longing looks upon the lovely dress but does not bid on it even though she wants to ever so badly.

Alarie bites her lower lip. It is now her turn to blush. She looks to the necklace that goes with it and oos a little. She just sits quietly as the expensive gown of Thraxian fashion influence is put up for display.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Julea before departing.

Calandra looks upon the lovely dress, but she doesn't raise her hand. She might not have that much silver.

"Twenty thousand" Ford says. Fuck it.

"Indeed," Samantha affirms. "Do you mind if I bring an escort?" she asks of Jeremiah. "And of course, you know if you need any help with the event, just let me know. I could have Cook do some baking, if you like." And then, an easy smile. "Hello, Leta. You look well."

Desiree stares at the dress as if she desires it but chooses not to bid on it.

Meanwhile, at some point Agnarr of all people has decided to stop by, frowning at Ford's bid.

"It is beautiful." Julea says, and even she, in all her leather, very much covets that dress once it is revealed. She lets out a whistle and then looks to Ford at the bid, considering it and the dress and the choker.

Lyiana stares at the seasilk and her fingers twitch. "Oh Gods I love that dress." she murmurs.

Lili looks to Ford in shock as he bets upon the dress. She looks to Lyiana as she says softly "I do as well, it is every so lovely."

Larissa twinkles at Angarr's expresion "Was that a 2500, Agnarr?" she teases{

It takes a little but eventually Julea raises her hand up to bid, "Twenty one thousand."

Joscelin's head spins, looking at Julea with wide eyes.

In response, Agnarr returns a flat look Larissa's way. Then the same Julea's way. Fuck, all that cash. His hand briefly feels at the purse on his belt.

Nathaniel very slowly looks over towards Julea, eyebrows creeping upwards. He then looks over to the item in question. "'Just a sellsword,' she said," he mutters to himself, shaking his head back and forth.

"Twenty-two thousand," Monique calls out, almost cringing at the number.

Julea swallows hard, pushing her hair back from her face. Her eyes briefly sweep the room towards Nathaniel and then look back to the dress in question, and then when Monique makes her bid, she shakes her head.

"Bring a friend," Jeremiah pits happily to Samantha--"I trust your judgment in friends and partners. After all, you approved of Bee."

A nod, then, to Leta, Jeremiah approved and proud as a peacock. "Leta," he greets.

Perhaps Julea confers with someone, or perhaps she changes her mind, but eventually she raises her hand and bids again, "Twenty two thousand and five hundred." Because ever little silver coin matters.

Lyiana shifts and shakes her head, her fingers idly smoothing the skirt of her own gown as she watches.

Larissa seems almost dissapointed.. almost, but nods to Julea "Twenty-two thousand and five hundred! Congratulations Julea. You may pay Mistress Alarie and collect your gown at your leisure. And, moving right along to the matching choker. As all the jewelry, that will begin with a bid of 2500"

Samantha lets out a laugh at that. "I approved of Bee before I approved of you. We've been friends for a long time. But I'm excited for you, regardless. You suit each other so wonderfully." She hmms then, at the dress. "Still not right." she says, considering thoughtfully.

Larissa picks up a pair of gold two-stone earrings set with Gemecittan quartz in a variety of pinks.

Calandra's dark eyes brighten and she quickly raises her hand, accepting the starting bid.

Eleyna immediately lifts a hand in an effort to bid for the choker, "Twenty-six hundred."

Alarie beams a smile as her favorite creation of Thraxian materials has been bought. She seems pleased with the auction in general.

Julea looks towards the dress in question, and then eventually dips her head in a nod towards Alarie, before she leans back in her seat and sets both hands together in her lap. For the moment, she doesn't bid on the choker, but does look towards Eleyna and Calandra both as they add in their bids.

"Twenty-seven hundred," Valerius calls out, his hand jerking up abruptly.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Desiree before departing.

Perhaps to the surprise of some, Agnarr rumbles, eye twitching, "Twenty-eight hundred."

Calandra raises her hand and says "2900"

Eleyna huffs lightly in disappointment and glances at Valerius as he outbids her. She leans in to confer with her servant, a rather intense conversation taking place in whispered tones.

Leta offers Samantha a broad smile, "Thank you!" she says, and stands there rather proud of herself and her attire, preening a little, with a tug on the doublet and a gloved hand on the hilt of her sword. The sword counts as an accessory. But her attention's easily distracted by the auction, watching the dress go to Julea with her eyes going very, very wide. "That's something." she murmurs, then looks to the next piece.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Fortunato before departing.

"I found something to spend my pay on!" Julea calls out to Leta, a broad grin seeing dimples settling into her cheeks. She looks towards the choker, and then turns to the others at the table, offering a few quiet words.

"And still too rich for my blood," Jeremiah agrees contentedly to Samantha, considering the visible goods--dresses, jewelry, statuary.

"You always look well--most stylish mercenary in Arx," he reassures Leta simply.

"You're looking rather stylish yourself," Samantha says to Leta, barely a second after Jeremiah says as much, though to him, she inquires, "Do you know if she has a wedding dress yet?"

Alarie has left the Benches.

Charlemagne the Unicorn arrives, following Larissa.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Fortunato before departing.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Samantha before departing.

"2900 to Calandra Whisper. Congratulations my darling" she grins down at the Courtesan. "The next lot will be a dress and slipper set made by the lovely Aurora Thornburn. She is a famed seamstress throughout the city and all of her work is exceptional. Tonight we have another seasilk gown of a beautiful peach. Another dress I promise I haven't tried on tooooooo many times" she grins. "And she has made a pair of slippers to match. Our starting bid for the set will be 23,000.. "

Calandra rises to her feet, she is so excited! "Yay!" She says and smiles over to Joscelin. The whisper be adorned in the woman's lovely jewelry. She then sits back down and contains herself so that the auction can continue.

Joscelin grins at Calandra and bows her head to the woman, respectfully. Mouths, 'Thank you', at her.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Fortunato before departing.

While Calandra clearly loves the dress and clearly loves pretty things, she doesn't bid. She might not have that much silver.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Samantha before departing.

Mailys picks up an austere seasilk gown of shimmering silver and smoky grey.

Leta nods to Jeremiah and Samantha with a little, tiny smug grin, "Try to look my best, aye?" Her attention is drawn to the new dress, and she whistles very softly, "Can't afford that either." she comments, then takes a sidelong glance in Agnarr's direction, giving him a quizzical look.

Mailys picks up a choker emulating silver smoke with dark amethysts.

Lyiana discreetly hands up the gown of rose pink to lady Desiree , before moving back to her seat.

"Aye, got a problem?" Agnarr turns a look Leta's way with his brows raised.

Mailys idly leaves her seat to go collect up the sold items and bring them to he appropriate person for Larissa. The tiny Courtesan has probably been watching for when it seems like the other courtesan needs help.

Monique sends an almost longing look towards the peach dress, then glances away. Instead, she looks to Agnarr and grins, "Sir Agnarr! Come and sit with us!"

"Well--we're wed. This is a celebration of that is all--celebration dress," Jeremiah decides pleasantly to Samantha. "It was difficult enough to get her to agree to this--begin calling it a wedding or a wedding -dress- and she may disappear," he remarks--only half-joking from the sound of it.

"You do well," he approvingly tells Leta, with a few nods...then an equally questioning look to Agnarr.

Rising to his feet where he stands, he offers Larissa an apologetic smile before stepping over towards Joscelin and Calandra, his attention fixing on the latter. "I'm afraid I must retire for the evening, but it's truly been my pleasure to win those wonderful pieces for you." Looking to the former woman, he adds, "I do believe I owe you the payment? I'll have it sent to you as soon as possible."

Pariah, The StormCrow arrives, delivering a message to Calandra before departing.

Calandra raises her hand! "Oh, Count Max bids 24k from afar!"

Lyiana laughs quietly, holding the remaining gown in her lap as she carefully doesn't let it hit the floor.

Samantha lets out a laugh at that. "Well, does she have a celebration dress, then?" Samantha asks cheerfully enough.

With a brief look to the large table, Agnarr moves, joining Monique and company at their table.

Agnarr has joined the a small dining table draped in snowy linen.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Fortunato before departing.

Larissa looks over at the peach gown and out to the crowd "These gowns are intended as heirloom pieces, the sort of gown a Lady of the Court could wear to any function and for any occasion and would easily be the envy of the entire room! And 24k from Count Max! Do I hear any others?"

Eleyna has left the a small circular table draped in snowy linen.

Jiacomo leaves, following Eleyna.

"I haven't been brave enough to ask--but I will. I'll write her--I've sent letters to Alarie for my own outfit for this," Jeremiah pleasantly remarks to Samantha.

He grins wide, waving it off: "Though I suspect she might not even tell me--there is some mystery we like to keep," he explains lowly.

Lili has left the Benches.

Calandra smiles with so much joy. "He is getting that dress for me." She just has to announce. She then smiles warmly over to Valerius, moving to whisper to him.

Lili gets up from the benches and makes her way towards Samantha with a smile as she says "This was quite exciting to watch I shall admit. How are you doing?"

Lyiana leans back on the bench she's sitting at, closing her eyes as she looks down at her gown. She opens them to peer down at the dress.

Jiacomo arrives, following Eleyna.

"Sold! To Count Max. To be quite honest, I never thought peach right with his coloring, but who am I to argue. Oh.." she nods to Calandra "Well in that case, it will be absolutely gorgeous on you. Well done. Next we have another piece of jewelry from Mistress Joscelin before we move to our pied de resistance"

Pariah, The StormCrow arrives, delivering a message to Larissa before departing.

After a few rounds of whispering to both Joscelin and Calandra in the crowd, Valerius turns about and makes his way to the exit, smiling at any that look his way in passing.

Mailys picks up a heeled pair of peach seasilk slippers tied around the leg with pearl dusted ribbons.

Desiree has left the a small dining table draped in snowy linen.

2 House Wyrmguard Guards leaves, following Desiree.

Mailys picks up a soft peach seasilk gown adorned with twisted clusters of captured iridescent pearls.

Valerius has left the a larger circular table draped in snowy linen.

6 Thrax Guards leaves, following Valerius.

Joscelin picks up a pair of silver earrings set with sky-blue topazes.

Mailys picks up smokey bag.

Mailys picks up peachsilk bag.

Jiacomo leaves, following Eleyna.

Leta holds up her hands, palms facing Agnarr in apology. "Not a thing! Would've looked lovely in that, you would." she assures him as he moves away, then turns back to Jeremiah and Samantha with a nod, "If you'll excuse me." though she hesitates, and adds to latter, "I've something to ask you, but there's no hurry, so I - well, I'll drop by, then?"

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Fortunato before departing.

Larissa drops a gold five-petal rose set with a pink topaz.

Larissa drops a gold five-petal rose set with a blue topaz.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Joscelin before departing.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Joscelin before departing.

Pariah, The StormCrow arrives, delivering a message to Larissa before departing.

Joscelin gets a simple velvet bag from a canvas shoulder bag dyed an orangey-pink.

Joscelin puts a pair of gold two-stone earrings set with Gemecittan quartz in a variety of pinks in a simple velvet bag.

Joscelin puts a gold three-stone pendant set with Gemecittan quartz in a variety of pinks in a simple velvet bag.

Mailys puts a soft peach seasilk gown adorned with twisted clusters of captured iridescent pearls in peachsilk bag.

Mailys puts a heeled pair of peach seasilk slippers tied around the leg with pearl dusted ribbons in peachsilk bag.

"Of course." Samantha says to Leta warmly, though she does have a slightly distractd air. She wants to know what the pentultimate piece of this auction is. Refocusing, she looks to Leta, her smile now more direct. "You're welcome anytime."

"Better than you, most like," Agnarr nods in agreement to Leta in belated reply.

Mailys picks up he peach set of clothing and neatly puts in back in the bag it came from. Probably after a brief word from one of the more official Whisper helpers Mailys gives the bag to the person it is suppose to go too.

Calandra is very happy about the seasilk dress. She smiles warmly toward Larissa and Mailys.

"We have two lovely pieces of jewelry, very similar with one blue topaz and one pink topaz. Let us start with the blue at 2500.. "{

Brahm, a large iridescent plumed raven arrives, delivering a message to Joscelin before departing.

Lili smiles to Samantha and says "I hope the evening treats you will Samantha. I shall see you again soon for tea." She begins to head out of the gallery.

"Twenty-six hundred," Agnarr raises his voice to call, still seated.

Calandra looks tempted. She bites at the swell of her soft lower lip. She almost speaks and then stops herself.

"2600 to Agnarr! Congratulations Sir.. Shall we go to the pink topaz?"

Joscelin grins at Agnarr across the room.

Nodding, Agnarr prepares the sum of coins to be passed over later.

Mailys picks up a gold five-petal rose set with a blue topaz.

A puff of air as Leta departs, then Jeremiah turns his attention to the auction once more, lingering near Samantha.

Mailys takes away he blue set of gold to give to the proper person.

Larissa drops aftermath, a painting.

Mailys picks up a gold five-petal rose set with a pink topaz.

Larissa gets a pair of silver earrings set with rich amethysts from twilight gossamer bag.

Larissa gets a gown woven of gossamer moonlight from twilight gossamer bag.

"No doubt." Leta tells Agnarr with a broad smile, then watches a while, and calls out, "But that one's even better." when he wins his bid. There's one last grin over her shoulder, a nod to Samantha and Jeremiah, then turning, she strolls over to a table for the final items, with a nod to the possibly distracted Julea and to Fortunato.

Leta has joined the a larger circular table draped in snowy linen.

Samantha offers a faint smile to Joscelin. "Hello," she says warmly, and then loses her speech as she stares at the painting. "Dear gods..." she manages after a moment.

Sir Huntley, the beagle arrives, delivering a message to Jeremiah before departing.

Fortunato flickers a little welcoming wave at Leta. Then he pushes his hat feather out of his face.

Lyiana stares openly at the painting, and the woman's eyes seem to shimmer.

Mailys grabs the pink set of gold and gives it to the proper person as well.

Joscelin stares at the painting, in awe, eyes growing wet. She looks at Fortunato, so much pride in her eyes.

Joscelin looks at Samantha and smiles, eyes watery, and moves to allow her to sit

Larissa smiles as her little dias is cleared again and she nods her quiet thanks to the attendants. "The next and final set is very special. This is the last gown to be made and sold by the late Myrinda Grayhope. Her reputation as a seamstress and clothier is renown throughout the compact and hers is a gift that will be missed. At her request, the minimum bid for this gown is 9000 - However before we begin bidding for the dress we have the pleasure and delight of a painting by her son Fortunato Grayhope. While his medium is different than his mothers, it is apparant that they shared an unmatched talent for the artistic. Tonight I present to you the Aftermath, a painting of hope by Fortunato Grayhope. The beginning bid will be 1000 silver..."

Samantha lifts a hand. "One thousand." offers the Marquessa.

"Two thousand for the painting." Ford calls out, hand raised.

Calandra raises her hand. "1500!" She is really into this. She gives Fortunato a smile. "So lovely."

Lyiana reaches up to serupticiously run a hand across her face, wiping away a tear. "Beautiful," she manages.

Calandra raises her hand. "2500!" She is really into this. She gives Fortunato a smile. "So lovely."

Samantha considers another moment. "Three thousand." she says, lifting a smooth, dark hand.

Jeremiah looks over the message, letting out a brief scoff--perhaps unwise, given the visible messenger beagle revealing who it is he's scoffing towards, but--it's out. He's at least -briefly- chagrinned, and focuses on the painting--a puff of air, a faint squint--he gives Samantha an approving nod at the bid, though he's faintly reserved comparitively--approving, perhaps even touched, but the central part of the composition is skimmed over. It's those lingering on the outside he focuses on--wanderers, not resting knights.

Joscelin looks up. "Ten thousand."

Sir Huntley, the beagle arrives, delivering a message to Monique before departing.

Fortunato folds his arms across himself, loosely awkward, if pleased, for the reactions. His attention rests on Myrinda's gown.

Monique as well, seems to be waiting on the gown... this may be a fight!

Leta sits at the table next to Fortunato, leaning forward to study the painting from her seat, propped on an elbow for a moment as she studies it in concentration, listening to the bidding going on. She looks up from the painting at Joscelin's bead and lets out a loud, bright laugh, before turning to the painter.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Calandra before departing.

"2500, Do I hear 3000 for the painting, perhaps?" the Courtesan begins and then stops and smiles at Joscelin "Very well done Guildmistress. It is a beautiful painting." she smiles and presses a hand to her chest for a moment - an avid lover of fine art. "Sold to Joscelin for ten thousand. And now, ladies and gentleman... The last dress from famed designer Myrinda Grayhope.... who will be the first to bid at 9000?"

"9000!" Monique starts it off with a grin

Mailys picks up aftermath, a painting.

Of course Calandra raises her hand, taking the opening bid.

"Ten thousand!" Leta raises her hand.

Larissa drops a gown woven of gossamer moonlight.

Mailys collects the painting and brings it to the winner.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Calandra before departing.

Larissa drops a pair of silver earrings set with rich amethysts.

Calandra raises her hand and grins over to Leta. "1100"

It looks like Calandra just got sent some silver. She is so bad, such a diva.

Monique says, "Fifteen thousand," Monique calls out right back."

Ford lofts his eyebrows.

Fortunato nods quite gravely toward Joscelin as he accepts the silver.

Finding a place to scratch off a message on a wall, Jeremiah sends it off, considering the messenger's departure. He focuses briefly on Fortunato--raising a hand, then nodding approvingly. He returns to Samantha's side.

Samantha looks over at Monique a moment, and then returns her attention to the bidding. "Eighteen thousand." she calls out with a lift of her chin.

Leta was about to raise her hand again after Calandra's bind, but hearing Monique's she winces, and looks down at herself, dropping a hand to her coin pouch, and thinks. It jingles, but does it jingle loudly enough?

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Joscelin before departing.

Then, suddenly, to Samantha: realizing, perhaps? Or worried he's realized something, at least partly: "You aren't--"

Calandra doesn't try and bid again either. She gives Leta a sheepish smile, having got out bid.

Mailys must hhave been waiting for the final item and wiggles her fingers before saying "20,000."

"22,000!" Monique is DETERMINED to get this one.

"Twenty three thousand!" Ford calls out.

Mailys forrows her brow a touch, "25,000."

Leta drops her hand to the table and laughs again, shaking her head as the bidding soars higher.

Lyiana shifts in her seat and watches the bidding war, looking between Ford, Monique, and Mailys.

Fortunato returns Jeremiah's wave and nod, also, quite gravely. His attention keeps flicking back to the bidding.

"27,000." Monique calls it out again.

Joscelin looks oddly proud at the dress and the bids. Goodness.

Lyiana nods her head, hair swirling as she smiles. "I know,' she murmurs.

Samantha looks over at Jeremiah with a grin. "Well, if I was, it's gone beyond what I'm willing to spend. Can you imagine the amount of refugees which could be fed for nearly thirty thousand silver?"

Mailys tilts her head a moment in thought, "30,000" She finally says. Likely she was assessing the price she must have been told by someone.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Joscelin before departing.

"For a day or two?--at least thirty thousand," comes Jeremiah's answer, looking oddly relieved at whatever Samantha has relieved to him...though he does give the dress a slyly considering look for a few moments. "But--no, yes. I can imagine it, Samantha--but I am not so certain she would. More conservative than that...though."

A pause. "It is quite private, so, perhaps--but." He offers a helpless shrug, still vaguely relieved, but also distantly considering.

Monique pauses, stares at the table for a moment, then looks back up and offers, "32,000."

Watching the bidding go on, Agnarr folds his arms in front of his chest.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Joscelin before departing.

Mailys slants her eyes to other bidders then down to her hand in thought, "35,000." says the Courtesan.

Lyiana watches the bidding war and shakes her head slightly, getting hair out of her eyes.

Sir Huntley, the beagle arrives, delivering a message to Jeremiah before departing.

Monique glances to Larissa, "May I have one moment please?"

Larissa takes a moment to look from Monique to Mailys and then nods to Monique "Certainly.."

Ford rakes his fingers through his hair. So much money... so much money.

Leta whistles very low now as she looks from Fortunato towards Mailys, and glances between her and Monique. She looks impressed, somewhat amused, giving her coin pouch a light couple of tops before letting go entirely. She continues to talk to Fortunato.

"I would think so." Samantha says, and then, "I think I'll call it an evening, though." For a brief moment, she regards Fortunato, and then begins to make her way out.

Lyiana looks between Monique and Mailys a look and hopes there won't be a catfight in the artist's gallery.

Squee, the Flying Squirrel arrives, delivering a message to Monique before departing.

Joscelin says, "Have a good evening, Marquessa."

Mailys flashes a brilliant grin at Leta when she notices the glance to her. She does not explain to why she was bidding when there where obviously plenty of things she previously liked. Lyiana's glance over gets her a wink and a blown kiss. The tiny courtesan has not yet finished toying with the poor clothier.

Monique looks up from the messsage received and smiles. Turning back to Larissa, she offers, "Fifty thousand silver."

Samantha pauses briefly. "Joscelyn," she says, "I'll stop by the shop soon with a few pearls for you to guage." And with that, out she goes.

Lyiana blushes as red as her hair. She gives Mailys a look that borders on pleading, her hands moving up to her thoroughly redden cheeks. Where did all that blood come from?

Mailys glances to Monique then says, "60,000."

Joscelin whistle low, looking at Fortunato. She has to laugh. "Myrinda would -shit- herself," she says in the silence that follows.

Jeremiah sighs again, nodding distractedly to Samantha and finding a wall. "Another time, Samantha--be well," he calls after.

"Or--no," Jeremiah decides, then departing himself.

Fortunato is full of grave nods and significant glances today, and he glances between Mailys and Monique for a long moment before settling on Monique for /that/ bid. His smile is scant, but quite real. Samantha's exit gets a belated glance-after, his brows slightly furrowed, and then he laughs quietly to Joscelin as the bidding war resumes. "As it should be. As it should be." He returns a good sliver of his attention back to Leta.

If the tailor could get anymore flustered, it would stand to reason she'd most likely melt into the floor, but as it stands, when Mailys bids, she has to ask, "Where did you ... Oh never mind. I don't want to know. No, don't tell me."

Sighing, Monique looks crushed for a brief moment, then firms up and gives Larissa a small shake of her head, "I'm sorry... I can't."

Ford leans over to Monique.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Ford before departing.

Mailys shoots an apologic look to Monique but the tiny courtesan seems set on bidding until she wins. She does step to Larissa to whisper something to her before returning to her spot.

Joscelin covers her mouth with her hand, eyes shining.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Leta before departing.

Before any more silver starts flowing, Agnarr tips his head to Monique and Ford at the table. Rising from the table, he then makes for the exit.

Agnarr has left the a small dining table draped in snowy linen.

Ford purses his lips and leans back drawing in a deep breath.

Larissa looks a little heartbroken for Monique "Of course Lady Monique.. of course." and then she smile to Mailys "Sold! To your mysterious patron..oh." she pauses and listens and then shakes her head "Sold, to Lady Juliet on behalf of Mailys Whisper, Myrinda Grayhopes last gown at 60,000." she pauses and sends a quiet little smile to Fortunato, knowing he must be overflowing with pride of his mothers legacy.

Joscelin stands up and starts to applaud, looking at Fortunato.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Ford before departing.

Calandra cheers in response to the winning bid.

Ariadne, 3 Rubino and Zaffria guards arrive, following Sylvie.

Mailys picks up the dress, since that is her duty, and holds it for he time being. Though, she does ask, "Who to I tell my lady to send the money too?" Can't send it to the creator.

Quiet for a time, clearly in awe of that dress, Julea pulls the one she did win in against her chest, before giving a quick clap when the winning bid is announced.

Fortunato rises to clap as well, his expression a bit blank as it often is, but his eyes bright.

Lyiana stands and applauds as well, smiling as she raises her hands, though gives Monique a sad sympathetic look.

Mailys picks up a gown woven of gossamer moonlight.

Giving a nod those she knows, MOnique stands from the tabble and heads for the exit.

Monique has left the a small dining table draped in snowy linen.

Brigid the Genet leaves, following Monique.

Ford has left the a small dining table draped in snowy linen.

Julea gradually pushes up to a stand and then asks of Larissa. "Should I send the payment for my dress to you, or direct to Alarie?"

Larissa pauses and looks at some notes to herself "Wait a moment, Ladies and gentleman. I'm sorry that I misread my notes. The original bid for the gown was intended to be set at 90,000. I will give you all a moment to consider your wallets and the last dress of Myrinda Grayhope.."

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Ford before departing.

Mailys double checks her thoughts again, "Lady Juliet indicated that she can do that."

Lyiana gives the gown discreetly to Marquis Ford, her hand moving immediately to her purse as she receives payment. she gives him a gentle smile.

Julea has left the a larger circular table draped in snowy linen.

Larissa inclines her head to Juliet, seeming only a little fluster for the confusion. "My apologies to you" she murmurs to Mailys. "And the pair of earings made to go with the dress will be our last and final item at 2500"

Calandra raises her hand to bid. Of course she does!

Leta's just staring, rapt, at the auction. The competition, the drama, the last minute twist! Her mouth even hangs slightly open, staring at Mailys with wide eyes before taking one more long, look at the dress. Meanwhile, a messenger slips in and hands something to Leta. Leta hands her a generous amount of silver, then reads the message. And turns beet red.

Joscelin leans over to look at Leta. "Messere, are you alright? Your face-"

"2500 for the Amethyst earrings, do I hear 3000? Mailys?"

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Larissa before departing.

Mailys grins at call to her, "Far as I know, the dress was the only thing I am to bid on. Unless my lady lets me know otherwise." Probably not, given the night is close to end and the gown was a large bid.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Alarie before departing.

Larissa smiles and inclines her head to Calandra "A pair of amethyst earrings sold to Calandra Whisper. Congratulations.. I would like to take a moment to thank all of you for joining in the fun and opening your purses, your pockets and your hearts. I am certain we will be hosting many more auctions in the future for many causes.. but this, our first was wholly in the name and honor of Jayus. May we find through him the inspiration to persevere. Praise Jayus and thanks to you all." With that, the Courtesan moves from behind her dias and drops into a curtsy before the assembly.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Leta before departing.

Alarie is overheard praising Larissa for: A rather invigorating auction!

Lyiana is overheard praising Larissa for: Very well done!

Mailys is overheard praising Larissa for: A fabulous host.

Calandra is overheard praising Larissa for: Wonderful auction.

Leta looks to Joscelin and quickly shakes her head, waving a hand over her flushed face while she tries to wipe off a smile from it. "Just fine! Just fine, thank you!" she calls out, "Just regreting the size of my purse."

Calandra is overheard praising Max for: Purchased 24k seasilk at the auction!
