I spent the day out at sea. For an event hosted by my brother Martino and friend, Princess Denica. My brother did our other brother proud in his speech, remembering him. I can only hope I made my family proud with the capabilities I displayed. My team didn't win, but I think we enjoyed ourselves nevertheless. Congratulations to the house of Thrax. Who unsurprisedly won the new ship. And Lord Mattheu, who won something as well. He fought well.

It's my birthday. I'm another year older. My son is almost 8 months old. I'm not sure where the last year has gone. In that year, so much has happened. So many losses. I guess there isn't much for me to say, except for how terribly grateful I am. And fortunate.
And my son? Watch your hair folks. Beards, head, all of it! And..he's going to be crawling now soon too. So watch your ankles!

I went to Maelstrom, scholar. It was a nice little vacation. Princess Denica and Messere Caprice did great jobs hosting the gala. And scholar...I watched Princess Denica and Prince Jasher dance. I didn't know Jasher danced! And Den? She leaped and he CAUGHT HER! I thought for sure she'd fall flat on her face and I've have to patch it back together. Thankfully I didn't.

Summer is upon us. Summer. It really is my favorite season. However I've been unable to enjoy it. I have been buried in paperwork. And meetings. So many meetings. About different things. My only hope is that the people can come together and come to a decision best suited as a whole.

There's been so much going on, I have no idea if I'm coming or going these days. My life lately has been not only being a mother, which isn't as strange as it once was. I live for those moments when my son looks up at me, with large eyes and a wide smile on his face. But my days are also filled with experimenting in my conservatory. Or researching. Or--training. Just so much that needs to be done. I swear to you there isn't enough hours. Drake does get after me for to rest more, but---sometimes work. Just work.

I came home covered in black and smelling of smoke. But it's done. I think. I feel like I should apologize to Lady Mabelle and Zakhar though. In way way, but it was a success. So there's that. We have much to be thankful for. Even if everyone didn't come out unscathed. We won't go into the aftershock....

The masquerade ball was as it always is. Intriguing, daring...I enjoyed every minute of it, even as I left with a new name. The blood moon comes but once a year. I hope you all enjoyed it as well.
