Relationship Note on Aureth
I have always believed that the Pantheon is greater than the sum of it's parts, and the greatest strength of the divine is how they work together to make something greater than any single one of them alone. I think Lady Aislin's thought has merit, and it's very possible that the Queen of Endings has sent certain souls back to us at the request of her divine brothers and sisters.

I'd like to shout it from the rooftops! I sent the Faith my assistant, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, and he came back a changed man! He has learned so much from them, and for that, I will be eternally grateful.

So how does one identify magic that is not aligned with the Abyss? Does Abyssal magic and non-Abyssal magic have a flavor? Spicy vs savory perhaps? Or do we just take the mage's word for it?

Fighting to the last bit of consciousness doesn't mean fighting to your death. Not when there's a horde of medics ready and willing to give aid.
I've fought that hard over and over again in these melees and no one's ever made a peep about me trying to kill myself.
The ones fighting in that melee last night were every bit as good as I am and every bit as dedicated to holding the line.
A few new scars are worth the joy of challenge.
It may not be your way, but it's mine and those like me.
If we fought to _actual_ death, then you could compare us to our pointy-eared friends.

There is never any dishonor in yielding the field when it is clear an opponent has best you, or that fate has conspired against you and you shall not win the day. None.
There is also no dishonor in choosing to fight with your utmost to the very last, regardless of being outmatched, if that is how you feel you best honor your Faith, your family, those you carry the favor of, or even yourself.
There is no one that can speak the will of the Queen of Endings and Beginnings with more authority than you. But that does not mean none of the gods would find their hearts moved by such perseverance.
There is no reason to shame those that chose to fight to their last in the Tournament of Roses with you your tongue firmly in your cheek. Just as there is no cause for any of them to say they are braver than those that showed the respect to yield. All competitors were brilliant and and honored themselves, the King, and Limerance in my eyes, for whatever that might be worth.

I just can't even wrap my head around it.
Hopefully I can fill the boots he left behind in the Grayhope family. We've already proven that I fit into his armor. And his shirt. And his bed is terribly comfortable but Thena snatched that up.

Having been acquainted with Archlector Aureth since the days I was wide-eyed and new to Arx, and he was telling fortunes for the nobility's amusement, I must note that he has always been very kind to me, and that he is about as spooky as a lapdog with a magnificent shiny coat that smiles too much.
