Gone I tell you, all gone. A rare lovely succulent honey melon freshly carved and diced for breakfast. I had turned to compliment (ahem) Clover on how stunning she looked this morning, then turn around and near all the melon was gone. What we were treated to was some form of monster sitting at the table. It's cheeks were huge! I mean distended more than a chipmunk's, and streams of melon juice mingled with profuse drool soaking its clothing. Who is this monster who replaced the Banshee of Arx and more importantly, give me back my melon you thief!!!

Just when I thought there was nothing new which could surprise me, the Banshee is sick, a high fever which did concern us, but it soon broke. Then came the temper and the rash, and I will admit to taking the better part of valor and retreated. I will owe my dear wife something for dealing with the raging devil who flings food in faces and wails loud enough to shake walls. Thrax rum should never, ever, be dismissed or made fun of. It can make a wailing banshee stop her keening and finally allow some blessed sleep, or whatever else people do in their bedchambers but cannot when the walls are echoing and reverberating with the death wail of a teething child.
