History is for tomes and lectures, statues, especially in a place called 'The Hall of Heroes', are for honoring heroes of The Compact. Not traitors to The Compact who sought it's destruction. The Gyre should be remembered, but with scorn, not honor, and not with a statue in a sacred place.

Since we're talking about heroes, can we talk about King Koraj Marin and why in The Abyss his statue is still in The Hall of Heroes? I heard his statue was to be taken down, but it's been a year since the war with The Gyre and his statue is still there. How many times do I need to give that statue the middle finger?

So I nearly got my face bitten off by a bear while I was out west. It came so close to my face I could smell it's breath, I just barely dodged it! Imagine if this beautiful mug was horribly disfigured by a bear. There would be tears!

As a duelist, I am a creature of the personal. I fight for personal slights, not political ones; though the two do overlap at times. I have no strong feelings towards politics, but when naked politics hurts my friends is when I find myself caring deeply. And it's even more frustrating when I am unable to do anything to help. Some fights can't be won with the knife's edge.

I don't think I updated my will yet, so let me do that now. Everything I have goes to my sister, Bashira Ru-Taul, to do as she sees fit. For my funeral I want to be burned on a pyre at the beach. Perferably with plenty of liquor and food. If anyone is in the mood to hold a competition in my honor I would love that, but I won't hold it against you if you don't.

I think this is the last year I'm going to go to the Menagerie Masquerade Ball. While I love myself a good party, the past two years it's been so crowded and filled with loud people who don't have an indoor voice. Couldn't even hear the people next to me.

Have you been to The Hall of Tutelage in The Academy? There are people who can train you in combat, including I! Though I always have a waiting list, so might want to look at some others first.
