A pure wolf is difficult to keep as a pet. I've found it is better to make use of a wolf-dog hybrid. Easier to control, and they make excellent guard dogs.
Mind, hybrids have enough of the wolf in them that you can't let your guard down, but you don't get a lapdog when you need it to tear off your enemies' throats, do you?

Being a parent is probably one of my most rewarding of jobs. Like you, I tend to be hands on with the twins and Nia. Although, I am finding that juggling two babies at once isn't the easiest thing. My laundress makes a few rounds throughout the day now so my clothes get tended to right away rather than sitting. That smell...it's worse than dried blood or rot. You can't get rid of it if the stain sets.

I fully understand. I cannot tell you how many times I have discovered a bit of spit up on my sleeve or shoulder, and that is after changing twice. The times I've felt hairs ripped from my scalp, or 'accidents' during changing. Despite it all, I treasure my time with them.

It is your fight, if you care for your people and the people of the Compact. Perhaps Thrax sees far less who are impacted by this decision than, say, Redrain. Even still, it is hard for me to imagine how this "isn't your fight".

To mention His Highness, Prince Victus as being a stoic man is like mentioning the sky is blue, or that the grass is green, that water is wet, but it warms my heart to watch him with his little girl. On the boat, her little hand in his as they walk together, there is real love that may not normally be seen so readily. I should like to think, had I known my father well, and when something brought tears to my eyes, he too would have knelt down and gently put his hands on my shoulders, and should I continue to cry, pull me close and tell me to stop fucking crying. You may not see me, but I see you, and hear, and serve. I hope that you are pleased with the way I have recorded these events. It is my hope to add a nice leather-bound set of records of this journey to the Thrax library as well, complete with illuminations. Thank you for the opportunity to witness this momentous tour of the Isles. I have grown to love them more than I ever have before, and have never fully realized how much beauty there is within them. Believe it or not, and despite the current state of sobriety I'm not in, this isn't actually the first time I've heard about that knighted weasel, or stoat, or whatever, with the monocle. The other time wasn't even from Victus, and /that/ person was probably, most likely, sober.
