Met with my brother today at the shop, he seems to be doing well. I did have to threaten him a little to keep him out of trouble, but then what are sisters for. Walked into the city central to pick up some fabric I am most likely not going to use in some time, the white silks are so pretty and quite hard to pass up, besides what sort of artisan would I be if I left the inexpensive silks alone? As I was looking over the silks, I was run over by a large burly northerner, sent me flailing down, and freeing my silks from my arms. I was lucky however, as Lady Leta caught them mid air in a feat that would had wowed even the greatest courts.

Relationship Note on Morrighan
A seamstress from the North. The Princess introduced me to her in hopes of collaborating between the styles. I've seen some of her work, and it was well sewn. I'm anxious to see what we'll be able to create together.

The Whisper and I have now met on quite a number of occassions. I have taken a liking to her, she is quite different from her cousins. I feel we are becoming fast friends. I do so hope that she likes the dress I've made for her.

Today I had the opportunity to meet with Prince Gareth Grayson. I'm not quite sure what to make of his Highness yet, but he's asked for a commission and has promised a handsome sum. I do believe that he doubts the gifts that Jayus has blessed me with, as he mentioned the necessity for quality several times over. My quality, of course, can never be called into question and I will show that to him. But I do so look forward to putting more of my work out there on display.

Evenings with House Velenosa can often be quite an amusing and enlightening affair. I dare say I've learned far more than expected since arriving at Arx, some things a touch more surprising than others. Talen must think I am quite the bore, but really .. it just made me yearn for someone who shares the same passions I do. At least I do believe I made a new found friend in one of the Whispers. She seems a bit more my speed than her cousin. I'll take her as my pet project and make the other Whispers drool with envy at the things I'll create for her.
Of note, I've learned that I must question every single commission Talen asks of me from now on. It's not like he'd dream of finding another seamstress to save himself from my harassments. Most importantly, however, is that I've learned the Princess cannot be trusted to dress herself. Ah, the things I must do for my family.

My arrival in Arx corresponded with the Seaside Soiree, a lovely little event on the beaches. I was a touch late, but I dare say fashionably so, and had enough time to make my rounds. The Archduchess and Princess were surely sights for sore eyes, though it seem I may have my work cut out for me. I'll certainly have to make sure the Princess stands out at the next event - wearing the same outfit as a Whisper! If I allow that to happen often, people will begin to think I've lost my touch.
I also must remember to make good on Talen's promise of a hug, no matter how much he resists and pretends not to remember. We are family, after all.

Relationship Note on Esera
My liege. My heart breaks for her, in far more ways than one. She has always shown me so much kindness, and this hasn't changed since I've arrived in Arx. I desperately wish there was something I could've done. There was certainly more than enough that I should have done. But now I can only lend the strength that I have promised. We are family.
